Refrigerator was not working

The staffs were nice, although the front desk was in a hurry to serve the people who were behind me, I don’t know why. In previous comments, someone mentioned that the breakfast was the best in the town. That was misleading! I don’t know where it came from. In general, the breakfast was good but for sure not the best.

Everything about the ALO is amazing. The staff is kind and helpful. The breakfast was tasty. All of the amenities are useful. It’s a safe and comfortable place to stay.

Could not fault, location was A+, property in good condition and rooms were a generous size. Breakfast included was a nice touch, although some background music in the breakfast area would help create a better atmosphere rather than listening to everyone slurp their bowls. Reserved 2 rooms. The staff was really friendly, the breakfast buffet was more than adequate. The location to the freeway was close. The only issue we had was the refrigerator in one of the rooms was too cold and froze the food items that we placed in it, the parking fee was reasonable ($15/day). I would stay here again.

We were there for a dr appt so we went really there. but the room was clean bed was comfortable and the breakfast was ok.

Breakfast was standard hotel breakfast with waffles, yogurt, powdered eggs, sausage, etc. Room was standard size. We were traveling with mom son's family and they have us adjoining rooms, which we requested. They did charge $15 for parking.

Stayed here for my cousin's wedding with my parents. Breakfast is simple with enough options, breads, yogurt, cereal, fresh fruit, eggs, pancakes, some form of potatoes and sausages. The seating area on the restaurant side is super cozy and always plenty of seating. Welcomed in by staff each time I walked into the lobby and every person was very friendly and approachable. Pool is small but the hot tub and chairs, everything are all well maintained. I used the gym which is small but really clean and looks newly refreshed, a staff member came in and cleaned all the equipment while I was in there and it's stocked with wipes, towels and a water station and cups. Rooms are clean, and I appreciate having the signs to leave the bedding alone for house keeping. There's a lot of shelving in the room which is nice, and a microwave and mini fridge. AC is just a unit under the window so maintaining a colder temp can be difficult on warmer days. Walls are a bit thin, so you can hear people in the hallway pretty easily, but I was also roomed near the elevator. 2 elevators available and I never had to wait too long for one. I would highly recommend for a quick weekend stay, overnight parking is super affordable as well. I believe there's a shuttle or public bus that goes to Disneyland as well, which is super convenient. Highly recommend as an affordable option for a weekend in OC, In n Out and shopping outlets are a block away and the hotel is conveniently located next to the freeways.

The staff were great and the hotel was clean and comfortable. My only complaint is the shower head being so low. I am 5’4” and I had to squat a bit to wash my hair so I know the men are definitely having to squat a lot! But the breakfast was delicious and the attached Mexican restaurant is so so so good and friendly. You have to try it if you stay here.

It was so noisy when others used the bathroom or showered, you could hear every single creak of the pipes as water passed through. It was near impossible to sleep once it kicked up. Breakfast was pretty meh overall. Liked that there was a fridge and microwave in the room though, and we had a view of the Disneyland fireworks. Did not book them for that purpose but it was a nice touch regardless.

This hotel is always a part of our great trip. The staff is friendly. The price is a reasonable and the rooms are clean.

Centerally located (right off highway 5). Close to Disneyland (you can see the fireworks at night) but far enough away to not hear the noise. The staff was very friendly and provided us with an upgrade and early check in, which we really appreciated after a long day of traveling. The breakfast buffet has hot and cold options. The room was very clean, bed comfortable, heavy towels, nice shower pressure and an ice machine. Yippee!

We booked this hotel because we were spending the day at Disneyland, by the time we did the check in it was 10:30 pm, we were tired and just wanting to rest. Unfortunate there was an unsanitary situation, my boyfriend found and killed a couple of cockroach, that was disgusting. I went to the reception and they changed our room but we were not comfortable anymore by staying there, it was a really uncomfortable situation.

I love staying at Ayres. They are always clean, and the staff is nice and helpful. My only complaint from this trip at ALO is that the eggs, potatoes, and meat at breakfast were cold. Otherwise, this was another great stay.

We had a 3 night stay! Breakfast was great! They attended our room each day, making the bed and replacing towels, removing trash. There was an ice machine on odd floors. A mini fridge and microwave in the room. The A/C unit cooled the room and bathroom nicely! Parking was convenient and only $15/day. We'd definitely stay here again!

I believe that if you’re in Customer Service and you have guest arriving to stay at the property You should at least have the common courtesy to greet them with a friendly attitude, especially when it’s your first interaction. The staff not all, but a certain staff Member sits at the front desk with a not so welcoming attitude . I don’t even have to mention who it is. You will notice when you arrive.

Great location, nice facilities: small fitness center, pool, hot tub, reasonably priced parking (though very annoying to pay for parking for a hotel!), free breakfast. Bed was very comfortable, too.

My friend and I chose this hotel because it was an easy walk to Angels stadium. The breakfast was as excellent as advertised, and the room was very comfortable.

The hotel is near a freeway but you can’t tell, it is extremely quiet. The hotel staff, Letty in particular was amazing. They are warm and inviting, the hotel room was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again, worth every penny

Rooms are always clean. The free breakfast is good for what it is. The staff is always friendly. The only downside is finding enough working 110 outlets in the room for all the electronics we use. There are two lamps with a USB and a 110 outlet they did not all work. There was also an alarm clock with two 110 outlets and neither worked. We found work arounds (plugged in by the microwave and in the bathroom), but why have them if they don't have power?

The room is quite noisy. Lots of noise from the hallway. Voices and slamming doors up until midnight. There was a large group of students on site, multiple school buses. Had the doors to the room been better designed, perhaps the noise would not have been so loud. Beds aren’t great, but they are okay. Clean properly, and the staff was friendly.

We had a 2 night stay for our Disneyland trip, we arrived early Friday morning and were able to leave our car at the hotel rather than paying the $30+ parking fee at the DLR. Check-in was a breeze and the staff was very kind, friendly and helpful. Due to health conditions we had an accessible room which was very helpful with a nice large walk-in shower and a wand shower head that was perfect for our situation. The room was clean, comfy and had full size toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, bodywash) and met our expectations. We also booked this hotel for the full breakfast buffet every morning and really enjoyed it, quick, convenient and a great way to start your day. During our stay, there were 4-5 bus loads of school bands on property and much to my amazement, we didn't hear them or know they were there at all. We would recommend this hotel whole heartedly, it ticked all our boxes and then some. We were also able to have some necessities delivered from a local store which was very convenient. It was a 10 out of 10 for us.

Stayed for 2 nights to attend a local event and it was pretty nice! Clean areas, friendly staff, safe area, everything is close. Only negative I had was the blankets on the bed were so uncomfortable and cheap I had to go buy a blanket at 2am to be able to sleep.

The AC unit and duck make very loud noise thru vent in bathroom. Vent was very dirty. Breakfast was something to be desired as the tater tots for breakfast were dried out and are not a breakfast potatoe, not alot to choose from.

It’s a decent hotel for the price. The room AC is motion-controlled and would cut off and on throughout the night, making the room impossible to temperature control. The TVs are VERY old and ghetto. There was an issue with a homeless man while we were there, and the inside of the elevator had a curious white liquid smeared on the inside of the door following the incident. The next morning, part of the stain was still on the door.

The room itself was clean (linens etc.) but the floorboards had some sort of water damage that made them splotchy and uneven. I had a king room and it was pretty small, just a couple feet of space along each side of the bed. There also isn’t a water jug or fountain available in the lobby, so if I wanted water I’d either have to ask the staff to fill my bottle with the one in their back room, or walk across the property to the gym. Not a big deal, but something I thought was strange. Overall, if you’re literally just there to sleep and spend the whole day out it does the job, but if you’re a light sleeper I’d definitely recommend elsewhere.

It was a great room and amenities. My only complaint was that the shower was NOT clean at all! There was hair all over the walls and the bottom was slippery like it had not been cleaned!!! Yuck! Turned us off to another stay in the future.

Front desk staff were indifferent, not friendly and were not helpful. I drove around trying to find parking after a 6 hour drive, had to go back in and then they told me I could park in parking garage. Cute hotel but pillows smelled like sweat. Very average.

As soon as we walked in the front staff was welcoming. She provided places in the area. We only stayed for a night and we have an upcoming reason to be in the area again. We will definitely book again! Nice room, clean, nice space and good location.

Can't say enough good things about this hotel and staff! Stayed for 4 nights with my German Shepherd. The room was conveniently located on the 1st floor by the rear exit to make walks easier. Room was updated, super clean and refreshed every day. Really nice gym and small pool. Complimentary breakfast was expansive and tasty. Self-serve laundry (pay by credit card) available on the 4th floor. Room price was so reasonable. Would definitely recommend and will return.

When I arrived to check in, it was about 1:30am. I went into the lobby and a man standing there told me someone would be back in a few minutes. I asked if he worked there. He said yes, but that he couldn't check me in. So I waited about 15 minutes before the employee returned to check me in. He also wasn't friendly at all. The hotel is fine, but this was very frustrating, especially after a long drive. No one apologized either.

We stayed here last year and had a great experience, which makes this even more unfortunate. Sadly, after this visit, we will likely consider staying elsewhere the next time we attend in Anaheim. Overall, the stay was mediocre this time. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast in the morning was very good. The only other issue I had was that the ART website seemed to be down for the majority of our stay, so one of the days we had to Uber to Disneyland because otherwise we wouldn’t have made it in time. The communication with the bus company was also a little choppy this year, which was not a problem during our stay last year.

Had a nice, clean room. In the evenings we enjoyed the complementary coffee and cookies from the lobby and both tasted great.

The room was old and average but fairly clean. It was super loud street traffic since it’s near UCI medical center. The TV was tiny and had connection issues. We did all the trouble shooting they recommended and the sound would skip like an old 90s CD. Will not be returning.

Room clean breakfast was good

We stay 3 times a year and have noticed that all services are going downhill from the breakfast option to the cleanliness of the hotel and rooms. Even asking for a later check out was frowned upon. Very disappointed.

Staff was friendly: the rooms weren’t as clean, I felt the carpets need a deep cleaning as the allergens were causing such issues each time we returned to the room.

Sleeping conditions were deplorable. Rugs were dirty smelt like smoke unable the room bathroom look like it had not been clean. The tub was so high to get in. We walked in and walked out immediately. Did not stay there reviews were so wrong it’s not a walk-in shower old-fashioned bathroom. Don’t know how it was rated at 9.0 this is a 1

This property was very well kept. Room was spacious and clean. Many dining and shopping options in the surrounding area. Staff was great, and they have a parking garage with security cameras as well as a shuttle service to Disneyland!

Room was a good size , complimentary breakfast was insanely better than most of my other hotel meals and they have a nice restaurant attached with great bar, definitely staying here each time I visit Anaheim.

Excellent location. Love the pet friendly rooms, as I had my small dog with me. It’s nice there is a dog relief area in the back as well. Friendly staff (front desk and housekeeping). A little bummed there is a fee to park per night now.

I love that the room is so clean and quite. The room also has microwave, coffee maker and a little fridge. It’s also a good location with nearby restaurants that are open until after midnight. We will definitely book again if we are in Anaheim.

The hotel was great with wonderful service, well kept, and friendly staff. The one negative was our room was in the side of the freeway and busy streets. We had to get a noisy fan in order to sleep. It was too loud.

For those of us staying multiple days, it would be great to see a little variety from day to day, but overall it was appreciated and convenient. The breakfast food was below average. The breakfast reataurant was very cold wvery morning. One of the elevators stopped working. Staff was great and so was the room. Towels are nice and we had housekeeping everyday, which is rare.

The room was very clean and the bed was comfy. Great value for being a 5 min drive to Disneyland. That being said…..if you plan on using the ART shuttle, it’s awful. It’s very unreliable. One night it never came to pickup at Disneyland and after an hour of waiting and no response from ART about next shuttle we ended up getting a Lyft. The next night, same thing. Also Alo charged me $30 to check in “early” at noon even though she told me my room was already ready. She said sorry but it’s our policy. Like what?! How does it matter to them if I go in 3 hrs early if the room is already ready?! I do like this hotel but just be aware of these issues if you decide to stay here.

I told her “NO, there is no way that I’m going to plunge the toilet myself”, “how dare you trying to get the PAYING customer to go fix the toilet in the middle of the night” I was furious, I told LETTY no way I’m doing that, she mumble “I’m not doing it” so I told her, since you are not doing it, why do you think it ok for you to ask me the paying customer to do it, that’s just ridiculous, at this moment a coworker or manager stepped in and apologized for the situation that it was not their intentions to offend me. But the stupid smirk of LETTY during the whole interaction told me different. She (LETTY) even try to blame ME about the toilet being clogged when she told her coworker o manager in SPANISH “it’s because they put so much toilet paper in the toilet”… you have not seen the toilet, you were not there, you don’t know anything about me… how dare you… I’m sure she didn’t know that I’m fluent Spanish speaker because when I told her in Spanish no to be blaming me for things she doesn’t know is when her coworker or manager stepped in and started to apologize I find it INCREÍBLE DISRESPECTFUL to ask the customer to go plunge the toilet in the middle of the nigh. We will never be back to this hotel

Loved our stay at the ALO hotel! Everyone was so sweet from checking in, to breakfast in the morning and checking out. Our room was very spacious with a comfy couch. Be advised the hotel is right by UCI medical center so you will be hearing sirens going to the ER. AC was amazing and room was very clean! Would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

The hotel was clean and the staff was nice. The only gripe i had was that the showerhead is so low you have to squat to get your head wet and the pillows are so thin they are almost pointless. Also, it would be awesome if there were some other meat options for breakfast that do not include pork.

Comfortable place, good location, attentive staff, attached Mexican Restaurant was very good with many unusual entrees.

Staff was great, hotel was clean and breakfast was good. The only complaint I have is that you have to pay for parking there which forces you to scan a QR code and download an app. It should be free parking with your stay.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful at check-in all through check-out. Rooms were comfortable and very clean. I also appreciate micro and fridge in room. I felt secure and comfortable in hallways and in building. Nice decor. The TV's in the rooms could be updated. The method to pay for parking was a bit cumbersome (I had to pay through a different app on my phone).

The room was simple, but clean and quiet. There was a full spread for breakfast each morning and an on-site dining option and bar. Parking was also very convenient. This location is walking distance to Mainplace Mall and many dining options. I would consider staying here again!

The ladies that work here are absolutely amazing!

I didn’t get their names, but Sunday (10/19/2025) morning front desk staff (2 women) were very friendly and greeted everyone with smiles. Housekeeping staff and maintenance staff were all friendly and greeted us as we passed them in the hallway or on the property grounds. Right across from Outlets at Orange, so many options for lunch, dinner and shopping.

From the friendly check in attendant to the sad to see you go check out clerk, we had a wonderful hotel stay. Rooms were convenient to UCI Orange for an early morning procedure. Beds were extremely comfortable and the shower had ample room to do pre-op prep/clean up.

This hotel was very clean, our room had plenty of space and it was in a good location for bus or Uber.

My stay at ALO Hotel by Ayres, Orange was great! The service was great, I appreciated the complimentary breakfast, and the staff were very helpful and kind. They kept the room clean and kept the attached restaurant and breakfast dining area spotless each day we were there. I appreciate this hotel and its staff and will be returning should I have more business in the area.

This was a fine hotel. We had the first floor room that is closest to the back door which is convenient but the housekeepers has a meeting every morning at 8am right outside our door and they were very loud. I don’t want to get them in trouble, they seemed to be very happy and having a good time, it was just loud and we were trying to sleep. So just ask to not stay in that room I guess.

This is our second stay within a week. This time it was for two nights. Nothing else except compliments to the staff.

This was a gamble since I have never been to Disney land and Alo did not disappoint! We stayed for three nights with our 11yr old granddaughter. There were great food options for the whole family and a mall with great activities within walking distance. The Uber to Disneyland was awesome and only a few minutes away. Staff was awesome, hot breakfast was great and the pool/jacuzzi was clean and refreshing. Highly recommend.

Overall the entire stay was really nice. Only takeaway is a personal one but the elevators were extremely small and the doorways were small. It was tough getting the luggage cart up to our room and inside. But might have just been an older building. Otherwise a great stay!

Our stay was great, staff was friendly. The only thing about this hotel is that the elevators are extremely tiny, so we did have to take multiple trips with our family and luggages. Ice machines were NOT accessible on every floor, just the 2nd and 6th floor only. Certain parts of the hallways were warm and muggy. Once we got into our room, the a/c took a while to turn on. We had to reset it on our own to get the air on.. other than that the stay overall was good. I’d maybe stay here again.

The only thing I have to complain about was the floor by the bathroom had something sharp sticking up. Like a nail or something. Other than that the hotel is dated but the rooms are comfy. For the price it was good.

I will say the hotel was very clean. You can tell it’s a much older building that’s been updated. I read a lot of reviews about there being free parking. They no longer offer free parking. It upset me, but obviously I should’ve checked on my own and not trusted old reviews, so that’s on me. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast ended too early so we never had any. Breakfast should last at least until 10 o’clock in my opinion. Like I said, the room was clean, but we had countless issues getting the shower to work and to get hot water. I would not stay again.

Appreciated getting a room on the first floor (my husband was walking with a cane and we stayed there prior to his surgery at St. Joseph's. Our room was the first one to the exit to parking which was what we needed.
