Love the location of the hotel and the staff was great
- 4/5
There was no cafeteria at this time. Everything else was fine.
- 5/5
Great rooms , good location
- 2/5
I travel to Pleasant Hill monthly, thought I'd try this hotel. Property needs major updates: old creaky elevators, stuffy hallways/no AC, unpleasant smells in room, rooms need updating and freshening, cramped bathroom vanity, poor lighting and LOW water pressure. Loud guests/party next door/hallway/balcony through 12-4 a.m. even after I called front desk TWICE. Will not consider staying here again.
- 5/5
Appreciated the step in shower. Parking could be better, had to compete with maintenance vehicles for spaces. Overall though a good experience. I would book there again.
- 5/5
Right off the freeway, easy to ask for help from the staff.

Nice hotel and staff. The room was clean but the elevators could be cleaner. Bummer no breakfast or cafe open.
- 3.5/5
Easy to get to. It's located next to the freeway and it was loud. I could hear a sneeze from the room next to me as well. The bed was not comfortable. Staff wasn't friendly. or welcoming.
- 5/5
Great location and helpful staff. We plan to stay here again.
- 3.5/5
Location, clean, lobby sitting area is nice and rooms are comfortable enough. - Check-in encounter with lady at reception was very unpleasant. After driving 7 hours with 11 people we were greeted with an unfriendly attitude when checking in for 3 rooms and 2 nights. She was not explaining things properly, and seemed annoyed at my questions. She also gave us rooms in 3 different floors! Which she later had to correct. - Breakfast options were not offered since the kitchen was being remodeled. that information was not provided either. - WiFi password not provided had to ask about it after.
- 5/5
Clean, friendly staff, safe parking and convenient location
- 4/5
Nice, clean
- 3/5
No commons -- they are under construction but did not say that at reservation time.
- 4.5/5

- 4/5
No breakfast offered!

BED BUGS!! WAS THERE FOR 4 NIGHTS - REPORTED THE ISSUE AND THE MANAGER (JAY) AND HE DENIED THE PROBLEM. I HAD BITES ON BOTH ARMS AND LEGS AND SHOWED THIS TO THE STAFF - THEY DIDN'T CARE. TERRIBLE SERVICE!
- 4/5

- 5/5
I love this place! whenever I return home to visit my family for the holidays or whatever I always stay here.. I had to stay here for about three weeks when I used to live in the Bay Area when my home flooded. That’s when I fell in love with it.. The rooms are so cozy and they have Netflix.. they allow dogs. It’s right next to everything free parking and balconies. The pillows are so cozy and most importantly I feel safe there.. also there’s a gym with free weights. The staff has always been amazing and it’s such a walkable area. I was just there last weekend and I’m gonna be back next month at the Pleasant Hill location! I never have problems here. They are so accommodating and nice even when I’ve had difficulties on my part.
- 3/5
Okay stay but I wouldn’t again. Yes, it’s very clean. But the breakfast place was closed for remodeling and there was nothing else put in its place somewhere else. I m unsure still if breakfast was included but I don’t think so-I think you had to pay. The fact I still don’t know after talking to the person who registered us says quite a lot. The wait to register was quite long and no one came to help speed up the line. Parking was okay as we always found a place. The bed was dreadful-so firm we tossed and turned all night. And finally, no personality! There was not a single picture on the barren walls.
- 4.5/5
The breakfast area was under construction and I was supposed to get complimentary breakfast but didn't receive any compensation
- 4.5/5
Nice comfortable bed
- 5/5
yes
- 4/5
We had some hiccups with our stay but overall it served our purpose. This is an older property that has been remodeled with new paint and furniture. There wasn’t any breakfasts or coffee offered in the lobby. There is instant coffee in the room which is meh. The beds are comfortable and if you want housekeeping, you have to request it. Not a lot of amenities but it is located in a great area close to restaurants and a movie theater. It was a nice stay for our family that was no frills.
- 4/5
We picked the hotel based on other reviews. We understand there can be an "one off" day and such. The first room given to us - it was evident the bed was made ut the sheets were not clean. There was multiple hairs of various lengths so we asked for new sheets. The desk manager apologized and gave us a new room, which we were happy. The new bed appeared to be clean but it was very suspect that the sheets were not new (odd creases and folded over- not like a fresh sheet). The room overall was clean and the gentleman was polite to accommodate us but he didn't greet us upon entering and he wasn't on the phone just doing something on his computer. I found it odd. Lastly, their Commons area for breakfast was being remodeled but there was no notice of this until we got to the hotel. I realize Hotels.com cannot post all updates but they didn't even have basic coffee available, which they clearly had the means and space elsewhere. It was lackluster. I was disappointed in the experience overall.
- 4.5/5
Excellent costumer service
- 4.5/5
Clean, great place to land after many delayed flights and getting in past midnight. They offered a late check out which we didn’t end up using, but we appreciated the offer. Check out was pleasant, too! Offered a coffee before we hit the road. :)
- 5/5
Staff as a whole were very accommodating.
- 2/5
We were hoping for the continental breakfast that was advertised but were told their little dining area was closed for renovations although we never saw any renovations happening so that was disappointing, no pool, loud music coming from the other room late at night, and unfriendly staff. Very disappointing.
- 2.5/5
It was close to where I needed to be. Room was not clean. Furniture was crammed together causing my wife to bruise her leg coming back to bed in the middle of the night. No breakfast as advertised.
- 5/5
I like the staff that help at check in very helpful remembered us from our last time we stayed there We liked everything we didn’t have any complaints
- 1/5
Also there was cops and so much commotion at 3 am The door lock wasn’t not working Horrible experience
- 5/5
Clean room, nice staff
- 5/5
Everything was good
- 4/5
I hit my shins several times with the bed frame because it is sticking out. They should make sure that the bed is the same size as the frame so that the customers doesn’t hit themselves when walking. Then my husband told the manager and he just acknowledged that they knew it was an issue but no refund or credits or a sorry was given.
- 5/5
Parking was easy. Surrounding area is safe.
- 5/5
Excelente hotel muy impecable sus habitaciones y el personal es agradable
- 5/5
Nice property. Spacious room. Excellent location. Close to restaurants and shops. Walking distance from a movie theater. The room had a little balcony. This hotel does not have a pool. There was no breakfast or restaurant available at the hotel.
- 4/5
The hotel was nice and easy to get to from the highway. It was also close to a charging station which was convenient for me. It was close to stores and a shopping area which is nice if you needed it. The location was 20 miles away from where my conference was. It would have been better if it were closer as it was going in the opposite direction. Also had construction in the parking lot so a few spaces were lost.
- 3/5
We asked for extra pillows and no one came to bring them. Also, front desk was rude and unprofessional when inquiring about the Wi-Fi information.
- 5/5
Very nice location, the room was perfect and the staff was helpful.
- 4/5
Conveniently located across the street from a mall with choices for meals.
- 4/5
Nothing, great people
- 3.5/5
The room had carpet squares torn and replaced, the room smelled like smoke.
- 0.5/5
Construction on the roof right above our room. Early check in but couldn't get any rest. Out late night for a function but first thing in the morning on a Sunday back at Construction no sleeping. Front desk said sorry but not gonna do anything
- 5/5
I love this place.
- 3/5
Disappointing they advertise a bar but do not have one. They do not start serving coffee till 7am and you need to pay. Hotel is on a busy road so you hear road noise from the room. AC had a funky smell in the room.
- 4/5
Friendly staff, clean property…only negative was limited parking…
- 5/5

THE ROOMS ARE SPOTLESS VERY NICE PLACE TO STAY THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!! TROY IWINSKI
- 5/5
Clean room , nice view. Breakfast not included
- 4/5
The location: perfect, the property and room: excellent, the staff: perfect. The breakfast: Terrible, over priced and inadequate. The breakfast should be complimentary based on quality. To charge a guest $13 for a plate for sub par food is disrespectful.
- 5/5
Good property
- 3/5
Room was not very clean and it had some smel
- 5/5
Good tv service nice bed to sleep on and a nice shower as well.

Yes
- 5/5
The room was super nice and clean!! Perfect for an overnight stay.
- 2/5
The front desk upon checking in was rude. The microwave wasn't working, but it was the entire plug that didn't work. Went to take a shower and there was no hot water. You have to pay for parking that I didn't know about until we got out parking paper. This isn't where we normally stay, but we booked last minute.
- 4/5
Parking is no longer free.
- 5/5
Great job on service, room. Comfortable.

Nice room very spacious and quiet. Loved the microwave and mini fridge. Staff was very friendly and love the dog friendly vibe will definitely visit again.
- 5/5
Room was clean staff was nice. I stay there often.
- 2/5
Didn’t like the locked lobby doors.
- 4/5
Room was fine , clean nice bed everything you need. People above me a little noisy and I didn’t like the fact that they charged me $7 for parking. Ridiculous!
- 4/5
Room was clean, staff were very kind and helpful, and the room was nice. However, the towels are like sandpaper and the room (on the ground floor) is not ventilated in any way. I microwaved something in the evening and the scent stuck around until I left. Could not open windows as it's ground floor.
- 5/5
Room was clean and staff helpful
- 4/5
Employees were nice. I think they should have cookies or apples at the front.
- 5/5
staff was great.

Had to call both nights due to night 1, someone with a Bluetooth speaker at 1 am, and night 2 someone being thrown against the walls or beat the next room over at midnight. They went to go see where it was coming from but the staff looked very scared in the hallway and I believe they simply left. Zero compensation was offered due to booking with Expedia vs the hotel, which is insane. Ghetto customers. This too cheap for this area, multiple pot smokers in the parking lot when I arrived even though the area is rich, but this rate equals motel 6 in comparison. Zero in room toiletries, so much furniture you are guaranteed to bang a shin up, beds are not true king, low water pressure. Good luck rinsing shampoo. Elevator is a thing of nightmare. Continental breakfast is 13 per plate. Not meal. Per plate. It's just the same stuff others offer for free. Parking 7 per night for a non busy area, no airport, casino, venue, center etc anywhere near by. Just a cash grab from the greedy new management. Subway style leadership. Wouldn't come back for free. Also, firm beds.
- 3/5
Staff & room were good but we stayed on the 2nd floor where the morons on either side of our room were playing loud music all night + people up & down the hall were talking loud like it was a party.
- 5/5
Clean room, clean lobby, great management, very friendly and helpful
- 5/5
Great place to stay, good price
- 2/5
I stay at hotels at least 4 to 6 times a month so I was a little shocked that the hotel had breakfast for $13 which would be ok if it was a nice breakfast but iv stayed at hotels where chefs made omelets and had 10 times the breakfast for free. The worst was they charge for parking and did not have free coffee either which is sad because even motel 6 has free coffee. I asked for a luggage rack, front desk said they probably weren’t returned from the night before. Iv stayed at a lot of sonesta hotels before but this was by far no where near worth the money they charge. Most hotels would have put some effort into retrieving the luggage racks. I had to make 7 trips to the car to load mine and my wife’s luggage. Advise to anyone staying in the area don’t let the near by shopping and advertising of the hotel fool you like it did me.
- 4/5
Staff was great
- 5/5
all good
- 4/5
Staff was very courteous room was nice Lobby was clean, I was just sad there was no coffee downstairs and it was $4 to buy a small coffee. There was coffee in my room but it's not the same :-) yes I would absolutely stay here again
- 4/5
Clean room, quick check-in. No issues at all
- 3/5
$4.95 for a cup of coffee it’s pretty ridiculous when most hotels include it for free. Overpriced breakfast buffet too. I just went to the café down the street a couple blocks for better food at a cheaper price.
- 5/5
Staff and the room were all great except sirens woke me up in early morning. It’s better to get a room away from the street.
- 5/5
Great room
- 5/5
Great staff. Pet friendly!

Can’t connect the tv to wifi. Remote and tv has Netflix capability but they are too cheap to make it work for some reason and refused to help. It’s 2026 make the tv connect to wifi so I can watch my shows.

- 5/5
My Wife and I enjoyed our get away at this Nice Quiet & Clean Hotel…
- 5/5
Did not have the breakfast
- 4/5
It was nice and the room was spacious. Older building but you can see where they are trying to improve it but have missed some smaller details. My only issue was my late checkout wasn't entered into the system so my internet access and keys were turned off early. Got the key issue fixed but that internet was a hiccup since I was working.
- 5/5
Super clean room….only negative is the shower pressure was really low, besides that great stay

- 4/5
It was clean and friendly staff
- 5/5
Really great shape clean and quiet and all the staff are helpful
- 5/5
They treat us well
- 5/5
My room was spotless, the water for the sink and shower was HOT, and I loved it. My floor was quiet; I was able to sleep all night. Thank you so much.
- 2/5
Also the bathroom lights are motion sensitive. This means they turn on automatically in the middle of the night when you go to the restroom. This is disturbing and unnecessary to all in the room.
- 5/5
This was an excellent getaway from my everyday. Beautiful and comfortable hotel.
- 5/5
Room was great, comfortable and clean. Lots of space for clothes and coats
- 1/5
Staf are very nice but room sheets are very disgusting not clean at all.i will never go back again there. Even o cut my stay and went back to a different hotel. Its a waste of money unfortunately

Checked in and right off the bat, the customer service was off. The clerk at the front (India nationality) was assisting another customer. Their exchange was really awkward as they weren’t talking to each other and the customer kept walking from away the counter so I assume he was a clerk but apparently he was being helped. If they had conversed with each other better, the situation wouldn’t be so awkward as it would clearly indicate to me that they were in the middle of a transaction. However, the customer was left to walk around. Kept staring at me. Told me to move back because the door kept moving where I stood. I got irritated so I just sat down until they finished. When I got up, there was no apologies, the clerk simply just asked for my id. Then ask if I was going to park. Then mumbled something. I couldn’t understand so I asked. He said a card for incidental. Omg! How hard is it to talk. Entered my card, he gave me my room card and that’s it. No mention of amenities, breakfast, nothing. Got to our room and it smells like smoke. Kids were tired so I did not bother trying to get another room. Overall, kinda disappointed in customer service as most reviews have been good.
- 5/5
Nice
- 3/5
The room was very nice and clean. The only issue was the receptionist. He was very well-dressed and well-groomed, but rude. I didn’t catch his name, but was an Indian guy, maybe in his late 20’s to mid 30’s. Let’s just say customer service is not his strong suit.
- 4/5
Great hotel for a short stay. Near a lot of shopping and restaurants.
- 3/5
Please make sure you advise your clients about the PARKING FEE… outrageous.
- 2/5
When my children and I arrived at midnight there were 2 cops out front within 5 minutes of us getting out and unloading there were 7 cops there. we checked in feeling very uncomfortable only one officer was thee at the desk while we were checking in we headed up to our room and they put us like 3 rooms away from were all the cops were. They stayed out there for quiet awhile. We had to leave at 6 am for a soccer tournament that room had the music blasting. the room they put us in also had marks on the door like someone had pried it open. Just not the best experience.
- 4/5

- 4/5
Room was pleasant and parking easy. Breakfast was just ok, with not much to offer. Our TV was not working & maintenance had to come fix the cable that was unattached. The worker came up very quick, so tha5 was much appreciated.
- 4/5
Great five day stay. Clean, safe and nice staff. Easily accessible. Dining and shopping nearby. Plenty of parking. Will stay here again!

- 5/5
Very comfortable one-night stay.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 3/5
freeze which did wonders. Other than that the stay was great. There was a nice brunch restaurant right outside the parking lot. I definitely stay again. But I would recommend deeper cleaning to the carpets because I’m sure that’s where the pet smell is being held.
- 2/5
There was an odd smell coming from the restroom, similar to sewage that made the entire room stink. The shower was also not in great condition.
- 5/5
Good!
- 5/5
Sumit at the front office was great. He was very friendly and easy going. Will be coming back
- 4/5
Thank you
- 5/5

- 5/5
Very clean
- 5/5
Clean room, comfortable, quiet, staff was friendly and helpful
- 5/5
Clean and comfy
- 4/5
Very pleasant stay. Ample parking, felt safe in the area. Convenient location near (walkable) shopping and casual restaurants, a few minutes drive from area parks and Walnut Creek. Some mild traffic noise from nearby streets, but reasonably quiet during sleeping hours. Friendly, accommodating staff, easy check-in/out. Some minor details missed in cleaning, but overall rooms were acceptably clean and comfortably appointed. Pillows felt too squishy and shower pressure a little low to our taste, but that's the norm these days. We did not have time to enjoy the gym, breakfast, other amenities, but we felt very comfortable at the Pleasant Hill Sonesta and will stay again!
- 5/5

Good
- 5/5
First of let me start by saying that I am big on good smells and this hotel smells AMAZING! The lobby, the room, the hands soap, lotions and hair care in the room were all amazing. The staff is friendly, the rooms are so spacious and modern but so comfy. Best sleep I’ve had at any hotel. Wish I could have stayed longer. Will be back soon.
- 4/5
The pillows are terrible, way to soft.
- 2/5
I stay at this hotel at least 6-7 times a year and this was the worst it’s been. May need to start looking for another place. Staff were nice and friendly.
- 5/5
Simple and convenient
- 2/5
Walls are paper thin. A lady next door knocked on my door asking me to turn down the TV volume...it was not loud at all. If you want a good nite sleep, don't stay here!
- 5/5
Good overall
- 5/5
I only have a lower number on condition and clean because it was the first time I had a balcony. The room was excellent on condition and cleanliness but the balcony could have used some attention.
- 5/5
Outstanding value. Very clean comfortable rooms. With great mattresses and pillows for the price.
- 2/5
The staff is pleasant but the halls are cold and dark and you can hear the person in the next room. We had both someone arguing with someone on the phone and an all night snorer. On top of that they charge for parking in a huge public lot, and they charge for coffee and muffins in the morning. It was not a pleasant experience for us.
- 5/5
Nice room. Close to the freeway.
- 5/5
great room. Parking was challenging - the only open spot was under a tree and my car was covered in sap the next day. Next time, I'll take my chances in the strip mall parking lot.
- 5/5
nice room, nice price. booked again for the following weekend.

I stayed for 1 night at 2nd floor, was too loud. The shower was cold ( warm for 2 mins) .

Greeting/check-in was very nice. Elevators need some maintenance. Noise levels were not ideal. VERY limited dining..nearly nonexistent. What was available was just OK. Had to discard fruit on plate because it tasted like it was covered with chems to keep it “fresh”. They could only manage to make “regular coffee”. Room OK. Appeared clean. Beds were firm. Not sure if return.

Pleasant Hill shopping center is excellent and within walkable distance from the hotel.
- 5/5
Great as usual.

The room was very nice and roomy. The staff was alway very nice and helpful.

Great location!
- 4/5
Was hesitant at first because of some negative reviews but decided to book anyway based on the price and accessibility to food/shopping locations in the area of this location (Pleasant Hill). The moment I walked in the lobby it looked clean and smelled very nice and fresh. Room did not disappoint either , was exactly as pictured.

Clean hotel, needs better customer service.

First day of walking into the hotel, the manager didn’t want to acknowledge us. Until I remained still, staring at him. He had an undertone with me. And stared at me each time I would walk by during my stay. First time I felt uncomfortable in a hotel. Will not be staying here again.

Our work trucks had the windows broken out, nothing was taken just vandalism (4-8) trucks had windows broken out

Best bang fir your buck hotel wise in Pleasant Hill
- 5/5
Very nice for a short stay in Pleasant hill. A lot of shops and restaurants nearby.
- 2/5
Final day of a four day stay housekeeping knocked on my door at 8:00AM, not cool. Location for food is great, sits right on busy expressway and freeway so a bit noisy. Budget friendly, but service was fairly poor. Probably wouldn’t stay there again, my next business trip to the area.
- 5/5
Great comfortable property with a nice accommodative staff

I come for a conference Friday to Saturday so just stay one night. The hotel is clean, comfortable and kept up very nice. The rooms are quiet, seem sound proof, and black out curtains so you get a good night sleep. This is my second time staying there and I’ll stay again for the conference in the future.

huge, clean room with blackout curtain. comfortable bed.

I’m a repeat customer and also had friends stay at the hotel . Staff is friendly and considerate 😉

Area was amazing! Hotel immaculate!
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Close to local restaurants and easy access to freeway.

The front desk staff are lovely and the location is convenient. The hotel just seems tired, though. Our king bed was OK, but the pillows were flat. The towels are thin. The arrangement of the room is too small for the bed and small sofa, hard to walk between them. I was glad to have ear plugs, due to the closeness of the highway.
- 5/5
Excellent location, close to everything.
- 5/5
Great hotel and good amenities and great food options nearby.
- 5/5
I wish they included breakfast, instead of charging, but other than that the hotel was very nice and super clean. It's conveniently located and again I can't emphasize enough how comfortable we slept.
- 5/5
The property was very nice and clean. The rooms are spacious.

Requested for a wake up call on the departing morning and nothing. No call.

Nice little brewery called Morgan Territory just around the corner

When I got to my room, none of the lamps worked. To make things worse, people were openly smoking Black & Mild cigars on their patios, and the smell was flooding the hallway. I was placed in the far back of the property, which felt intentional given I booked through Hotels.com — and for just a $1 difference from the hotel’s direct rate. Then at 7:15 AM, housekeeping started vacuuming the hallways. I got barely any sleep. At checkout, I expressed my frustration. The front desk agent apologized but still charged me the full amount, minus the parking fee. While the hotel exterior was charming, the overall experience felt subpar, especially for a Hotels.com guest. I believe a partial refund is warranted based on the issues I encountered.

I had reserved a standard room with a king Bed, and I was given an accessible unit, which is not a big deal other than the shower (It is a tub shower with hand wand) Not a good set up for me not sure why I was given this room and not what I reserved

Nothing to add

Everything was very good.

They charged me $7 for parking in an area so empty with street parking. And they didn’t tell me

Great stay. Helpful and nice staff
- 4/5
The hotel was very nice. But what should be improved is the bad water pressure in the shower. Hardly any water would come out. But other than that the hotel was nice.

Its was a great place when it was a marriott - systems down - no ability to extend reservations without more deposits - noisy and kind of run down - value an 7

The staff were very nice and the room was in great condition. I would book again

I love it

No microwave in the room. I need one because I have RA and I know they are in some rooms. I had to go down to the lobby every time I needed to heat my heat bags.
- 5/5
Nice and quiet and everything you need is just a walk away.
- 3/5
The property was fine however parking was extra and breakfast was not included and it was too much for the limited items. I was there a week and they missed to service my room until I complain my refrigerator froze all my drinks and food and I had to throw away. I won’t stay there again
- 5/5
Street side is a bit noisy.

I had a nice stay at Sonesta Select. It was clean and quiet. Many restaurants and a grocery store in walking distance. One negative is that breakfast isn't free so I bought some items at the store. You also have to pay for parking which many hotels offer for free. I would stay here again.

The hotel was quite nice. But there were some scuffs and paint spots in hallways and on bathroom floor. Did not like having to pay for breakfast.

Very helpful staff, excellent service.

This property was very clean and had a lot of walkable shops close by. Very convenient.

Check in was easy. The hotel is in generally good condition, but the hallway area near the elevators gives a cheap motel vibe. Within 10 minutes of getting to my room, someone knocked and then quickly opened my door with a key card. I shouted that the room was occupied and they closed the door, apologized, and went away. No idea what that was about; I've never had someone that wasn't room service try to enter my occupied hotel room. I used the deadbolt from then on. The person in the room above me got up around 5a and made a ton of noise for 30 minutes. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean, but it wasn't the most relaxing stay.

Each year around March 21, my wife and love celebrating our anniversary at the Sonesta hotel. The Sonesta feels like our second home. We appreciate the staff, for they make us feel like family. My wife and I only think one place to stay for our anniversary and its the Pleasant Hill Sonesta hotel.
- 4/5
Second stay at this location, this time facing Monument Blvd and the I680 freeway. Extremely noisy, especially at night. Preferred facing parking lot. Staff is incredibly nice and very accommodating. Decent value for money.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, always ready with a smile and great local recommendations. The room was spotless, spacious, and well-appointed with modern amenities and a super comfortable bed. The location was perfect—close to major attractions yet quiet enough for a peaceful night’s sleep. The breakfast buffet had a great variety and everything was fresh and delicious. I also appreciated the little touches like complimentary water bottles, fast Wi-Fi, and thoughtful room service. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending this place to friends and family!

I had lost my iPad and spent a major portion of my day trying to locate it, the staff was involved, however assured me it was not in a room I previously was in, finally had to demand they open door, sure enough it was in room.
