Room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast spread looked better than average, and the room was comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

The property was beautiful. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the room was very disappointing. When I checked in, the room did not appear to have been properly cleaned. The carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed, the bathroom was dirty, and there was hair on the shower wall and floor. These issues made for a poor first impression and detracted from an otherwise pleasant experience. Additionally, while walking past the front desk, I overheard another guest reporting concerns about the cleanliness of their room as well. This suggests that my experience may not have been an isolated.

A very nice hotel with a very good breakfast.

So I deep dived hotels in the area for any comments with bad reviews for dirty beds, bugs, bad staff, all the things. After the deep dive this and one other hotel on the island came up as possibles. I ultimately chose the Hampton Inn because it had a pool and offered breakfast. My experience with the hotel personally was 5 star! Check in was easy. Friendly front desk staff. Clean and pleasing lobby. Elevators worked! The room was clean and didn’t smell musty. I check for clean sheets and bugs no matter where I go. Everything was clean and bug free! Bathrooms were clean and shower was mold free. No random hairs. The rooms were clean and spacious. The pool was clean and the area was very relaxing. Myself and my family had a great time. The hot tub was down, but I don’t use hotel hot tubs anyway so that wasn’t an issue for us. I cannot stop talking about the offered breakfast. It was better than nearly any other hotel we’ve ever stayed at. Everything was fresh and hot and seasoned! The attendant was quick to refill anything and very nice and helpful. Waffle batter was made fresh. Eggs weren’t gross but fluffy and delicious! I will stay there again even if only for the breakfast! We will be staying at this hotel again in July. Thank you hotel staff for going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable!

No bathtub in the bathroom and I had my 6yr old and 3yr old grandsons with me so I had to shower them and they were crying because they aren't used to taking showers. The breakfast lady closed breakfast 5 minutes early and she didn't even smile and greet the guests who were there she had a scowl on her face. Blonde haired lady.

My vehicle was parked in the hotel parking lot when someone shattered my car window and stole property from my vehicle. The staff pretended like this never happens in this area. I would never stay at this property again. They gave no warnings that vehicle theft/burglary is common in this area.

The cleanliness

The staff were great. Very helpful and very friendly. The building needs some maintenance. The tiles that were put in about 8 to 10 years ago are chip and cracked and pieces missing. The outside blind in our room would not operate so we had to use the blackout blind instead making our room completely dark even when we were up during the day.

The room had a musty smell as did the linens. Breakfast was always crowded. It was really nice when it first opened but now I felt it was run down.

The first 5 min of being in the room, was told of complaints from downstairs occupants of my toddler running around. Received 2 other complaints throughout the night. $600 and was expected to keep a 3 year old from running around.

Love that the breakfast hours were 6-10. Gave us a chance to sleep in. The construction next door. They started very early. Nothing to do with the hotel stay though. The hotel was amazing.

The location The ice machine needs to be replace or deep cleaned, because when I pour ice in the bucket black stuff fell along with the ice. The woman when I checked in was super friendly but the other staff I come to contact wasn’t.

Breakfast was good. Lots to choose from. However the WiFi wasn't working this trip and the hot tub was Luke warm. Never really got hot when we were there (May 9-10)

The bed was comfortable, the space felt fresh, and it was nice coming back after a long day out without having to worry about anything. You can tell they stay on top of maintenance and cleanliness, which makes a big difference. One thing I really liked was the overall atmosphere of the hotel. It felt calm and easygoing, not too crowded or chaotic, even during busy times. It’s a good place whether you’re going with family, as a couple, or even just for a quick solo getaway. The location is also a big plus. You’re close to the beach and main spots around Port Aransas, so getting around is simple and convenient without needing to drive too far. That made the whole trip feel more relaxed. Breakfast was solid too—simple but enough to start the day right. Everything was organized, and the area stayed clean even with people coming and going. Overall, it’s a really good option if you’re visiting Port Aransas and want a place that’s comfortable, reliable, and stress-free. Hampton has gone down dramatically. Whoever owns it now doesn’t seem to care. Room dirty, someone else’s hair in shower, broken machines in hallways, grounds haven’t been tended to, breakfast horrible. Dry eggish powder used for “scramble” gross, coffee terrible, juice yuck. “Green” plates but nothing recycled. Lousy pillows. Clogged bathroom drain. Not staying here again. Staff super friendly and pool area was actually clean. Not worth the price though. Nice that it’s pet friendly.

We got a handicap room everything like the shower bars were low, we didn’t request a room like that. I forgot my phone charger in the room then my husband called to see if we could get mailed to us and they said there was no charger and no one turned it in. I know for sure I left it there plugged in. Be aware that if you forget something they will lie to you and say you didn’t.

We have stayed here before and it was fine. But it seems that over spring break the property was pretty ravaged. Everyone was very nice but sand everywhere- breakfast tables and ground covered in crumbs, our curtains didn’t work- remained closed, air conditioning unit would not adjust, cleaning rooms every other day- I guess to be expected… but maybe better to come in a more mellow time.

Location was great, front desk was really nice and resolved my issues to their best ability. They gave me a bedroom that did not look clean. I found a pop tart under the bed, hair in my sheets and the bathroom door would get jammed when trying to open it or close it. It got stuck on the floor. I felt it was not nice to pay 200 a night to fight with a door and sleep in dirty room. The next morning, I got breakfast and there was a fly fried with the sausages. The cheese used on the eggs was the cheap kind. The food offered at breakfast was really low quality. I was not expecting made to order or anything but they could improve the quality a bit. We ended up checking out that day after the breakfast incident. The manager was really kind, and gave us a discount on our stay for that day and gave us time to pack our things and check out.

Breakfast could have been better. Cold food, what was left. Asked for more to be brought out and person was a bit cold. Not a happy camper.

Toni and the staff were amazing, some of the place is dated and needs renovations. The elevator made horrible sounds, areas were taped off and unused and the breakfast was....ok....but it was clean, room was nice size and comfortable and the location was handy. The people made the trip though the staff was very gracious and accommodating! Overall good stay for a weekend get away!

Our room’s bathroom needs an upgrade. The walls were pealing. We were next to a room who had a dog that barked over night and affected our sleep; however, the breakfast was great. Our first stay at this hotel was a better experience, and that’s why we stayed the second time. I was sad that this stay was not as enjoyable as our first one.

The hotel staff is always friendly and professional. The rooms are clean and the breakfast buffet is very good and plentiful.

Our room was very clean. The hotel provided us complimentary toothpaste since we forgot ours and didnt have to go buy some. They were very welcoming of us and our golden retriever. They even had treats for him at the front desk and greeted him with pets! They didnt even mind when we bought him to the hotel straight from the beach! The complimentary breakfast was great, as well! Every morning they featured a different hot meal every dayfrom eggs and sausage, mini omletes, and biscuits and gravy along with the usual cereal, bread/english muffins/bagels, juices, and a waffle maker with a featured flavored waffle mix each day along with a classic mix. We will definitely stay here again.

Safety: the morning of our departure, with do not disturb flag on door, but door ajar, a man barged into our room unannounced to be surprised we were there. No uniform, no name tag, he claimed to be housekeeping. This action on his part causes concern for guests safety. I forcefully but not physically told him to leave and if part of housekeeping staff should honor door privacy flags. I reported this to front desk.

When registering, we were told they did every other day room service, which was fine. However, on the day they were to service, our room did not receive service. Had to call front desk for fresh towels.

The staff were friendly and helpful. There was coffee in the lobby available for guests all the time. Although the elevators were large and spacious, one elevator popped and cracked while operating. It made us quite uncomfortable and fearful it might break down when using it. The bathroom particularly the tub needed remodeling. The grout was old and cracked, but the shower had 2 head with only one that worked. We also couldn't figure out how to make water come out of the faucet to fill the tub. It would be nice if the sink area had a magnifying mirror.

The breakfast was good but definitely not healthy. Couldn't get eggs without cheese, sausage was super greasy and salty. I personally don't mind any of that too much. But it would have been nice to have plain eggs.

I was disappointed in the cleanliness of my room. I took pictures of you’re interested, the showerhead was out of the wall, exposing a hole in the wall, the sprinkler heads were rusted, the floorboard and shower floorboard were filthy and rusted out. I showed these pictures to the manager at which time I was checking out And I do not believe that I will choose this location when I go back down to the area.

Room was very nice, clean, quiet, with a comfortable bed, friendly staff. Took a star off because the hallway carpets were really dirty and had a noticeable odor. Room carpets were tolerable but also had an odor. I would stay here again.

Third stay in three years/annually. All good except breakfast selection and quality. I ate before 7 am. The oatmeal was not cooked and watery. Potatoes spicy with pepper and non spicy eggs 1 of 3 mornings. Minimal fruit.. bananas 1 pf 3 mornings and only apples. Otherwise good as expected.

All of the staff remarkable but most importantly, I nominate Barry as “Man of the Year”! He turned a bad situation good. He was extremely helpful throughout the check-in Very clean establishment.

Lovely place close to everything

Overall great hotel! Room refrigerator froze everything we put in it including my $20 salad that I was saving for later! Limited grassy area for the dog to potty-hate to go right in front! Otherwise clean,comfortable and had a great breakfast!! We will definitely stay here again!!

This is for the Hampton Inn suites located in Port Aransas, Texas. It started with me calling to set a reservation, I was told that I would get a better rate by setting the reservation online. I set the reservation online and when I arrived, I was told that I would not receive any points for the stay because I registered online. The attitude that I received basically felt like they were doing me a favor by allowing me to stay at their hotel. After the first night stay, I realize that I had been sleeping in a bed that had horrible blood stains and body fluids dried up on the sheets that we were laying on. We also found that the comforter and sheets had blood stains on them as well.We were very disappointed, especially since we paid extra to get a larger room. Which came with a view of where they stash all the crap they don’t use anymore. The staff changed the sheets and basically explained that they have problems with their employees, and that was why things weren’t that great. To top it all off they have the audacity to put a envelope in the room, asking for you to give them a tip.

Great hotel! Slept like a baby…and breakfast was fantastic. Margaret at the front was so welcoming and kind. I would definitely stay again; however, I never got a receipt so I don’t know how much I was charged for my room.

This was by far the worst hotel I have stayed in. The cabinet in the room was broken, the toilet water pressure and sink faucet were incredibly low. When we notified the front desk the guy did not care and said maintenance was not in on weekends and there were no other rooms available. The tv was on a screen with static we attempted to access it but were unable to, the same guy said to just keep pressing buttons and it would work. The next day we asked for towels since housekeeping hadn’t come yet and the same guy the same said that housekeeping only comes every other day and when we asked for additional towels for showers he said you can take them up yourselves. The breakfast buffet was the only saving grace. This place definitely needs an update.

We absolutely loved this hotel. Being pet friendly is so awesome. Everyone there loved our dog and the staff made us feel very comfortable while we stayed there.

The complimentary breakfast is always good. The rooms are always clean except for this time there was hair in the shower sink and counter. Not sure if the housekeeper had it on their rag or missed cleaning it.. Other than that, This is the ol faithful place to stay. P.S. This location is pet friendly with an additional fee.

My room was dirty. There was an old french fry by the air conditioning unit. Behind the hair dryer door, there was a really old and dirty hand towel. The shower wasn’t properly cleaned, and the room overall felt unclean.

I booked through hotels.com and was not given the room I paid extra for. I was told I was charged a lower price by the front desk staff which was infuriating as I did not get that refunded amount by using Hotels.com. I wouldn’t have booked the room I chose if it wasn’t actually available. Everything else was ok.

The staff was amazing. I want to say she was the manager. Very sweet and considerate. Everything was perfect except my AC made a weird humming noise like the fan was hitting against something. I ignored it but others might find it impossible to sleep.

Everyone was super friendly, room was nice, bed was very comfortable. The shower wasn't that great, (water pressure was low) couldn't get it to work properly,turned knob, but wouldn't transfer to the non-hand held) but it did the job. The breakfast was delicious. .

Hampton's location offers comfort and good service, just lacks the ambiance of a beach area in that it is rather hidden and is short on any pleasant views, other than an adjacent lumber yard.

Upon a late arrival was given keys to our room only to have to come down the elevator 3 times as the keys did not work. The third time the older gentle man went up with us with a master key only to him opening the room to find other guest sleepibg

First time in the area and we loved it! The hospitality was amazing and very kind and welcomed. Hot tub was perfect, the pool was pretty cold. But we still enjoyed it. Would highly recommend to stay!

We had a suite and it was very spacious. Perfect for us! The beds were comfy, had all the accommodations we needed. The free breakfast was a hit, but the food was mid. Nothing special. We enjoyed the hot tub. Overall very clean hotel. We would stay here again.
