Always pleasant. Could maybe expand breakfast selection or alternate items. But everything is great! Had a blast in the pool and sauna! Kevin was a great help, very friendly!! Looking forward and planning next vacation already! Will be at the plantation Again soon!

Just needed a place to lay our heads since we were fishing at the jetty. This was a last minute trip but the reviews looked good and the price was reasonable. Would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are nice clean and spacious. The breakfast was not good. Bagels were still frozen bread was hard. But overall it was a great stay. Front desk was very nice and welcoming. Would definitely be back.

The room didn't match the pictures that was shown on website. The room also had broken Glass on the beds and floor when we entered. Staff very little English. Would not recommend to anyone.

The front desk staff is really nice! The rooms not so much. Not as clean as they should be. Old furniture that should be thrown out asap. Broken front door security bar. Broken shower handle. They did give us a refund of 1 day as we planned to stay 3 but 2 was enough. Glad they were nice about it. These were simple fixes it's too bad they haven't taken care if it. The worst was when we left we put the DO NOT DISTURB notice on door. They totally disregarded it and came in to clean ac unit. I understand it has to be done but a little warning would've been great so that we could put up or take valuable and personal items with us. Friendly staff helps with these issues. Appreciate that!

We enjoyed our stay. The room and lobby were clean, but the pool was not the best. We really liked the free breakfast daily, very clean dining area, hot food, lots of choice items. The maintenance decided to clean all the a/c units during our stay. It was a fast process.

For the price, everything was great. Good breakfast and great staff.

Pool was nice and plenty of parking. Generally the property needed to have small bits of trash removed. The flower and bushes outside the rooms needed to have trash removed. The rocks were spray painted under the white fence outside the rooms. Gazebo had exposed electrical outlets.

The pool was nice along with the hot tub and breakfast was nice too. Staff were all very friendly. Comfy beds, comfy rooms and we felt it was a perfect stay for our pet.

I loved everything about this property.

If you want an affordable stay, I recommend this place!! We had five rooms for my family and me and it was a good experience for the most part! The hotel would benefit from adding an outdoor shower because the bathtubs are likely damaged from the sand (making some of them a bit unsightly) but everything functioned fine. The rooms are nice and big and I believe most come with a sleeper sofa so a double queen room can really fit at least six people, which is great. The staff is very nice and helpful. The breakfast is fine - about what you’d expect for a continental brek. Pool and hot tub are great. Charcoal grills outside the hotel came in handy. If you are picky about pillows, bring your own. Beds and sheets comfortable otherwise :) Would also recommend a name change. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk and 5 mins drive to the beach. For the price, I’d say this is a great deal and we will be coming back!

This is our 2nd time staying at Plantation Suites, and both visits were great! Our room was clean and well cooled. Extra towels were readily available. The complimentary breakfast waffles are delicious and there is plenty of hot coffee early mornings. The pool/hot tub area is normally very clean. This trip, we did notice some trash in the bottom of the pool mid afternoon, but staff took care of this promptly. NEW* this trip there were 6 and 8 seat golf cart rentals on site! This was a game changer for us! The golf carts come well equipped with touch screen, good speakers, and are iphone/android friendly! Good pricing for the convenience on these carts. Last, but not least fur babies are always welcome!

We had a great time. Location was great for us. The room was a little rough, but they working on it.

The room had recently been renovated, but there was rust in the bathtub, mold in the bathroom sink. We were there for 5 nights, housekeeping did not clean, empty trash, etc the entire stay. We had to ask the front desk for more toilet paper and clean towels on day 3 of the stay.

Front desk person was super nice however hotel really need updated. The tub was old and looked like someone tried to paint it “with white out” and had a motel smell. Breakfast was awful.

I love this place. It's my go to for convenience, and not so expensive. Free breakfast (awesome selection), hot tub, and a pool for a great price. I love the pillows and the beds, idk where they get them but I wish I could buy one! So soft and comfortable! The staff has always been very helpful even under circumstances where they were almost closed, but they still helped me. I appreciate them so much! I've stayed here for several night multiple times and only once the bath tub/shower was not cleaned at all. Another time, they had construction going on a few rooms down from me, and a bug spray guy going door to door.. but other than that, everything is amazing. They'll give you a Do Not Disturb sign so that helps. <3 it had a homey vibe after the 2nd time staying.

We stay here every time we come to Port A which is usually twice a year. We've been coming here and staying at the Plantation for years. We know what to expect. The price is great, the staff go out of their way to help you, and on this visit I needed assistance with paying our phone bill and the front desk went out of their way to assist me. We are getting older and they accommodate our need to be on the ground floor. We will continue to come back here in the years to come. It is nice to have a snack for breakfast although the quality of the food is not my favorite, you can get coffee and a Danish or bagel. The ice machine ran out of ice twice during our three night stay which was a bit annoying.

The room was clean, the environment felt like home and safe. Breakfast was decent - had the standard cereal, waffles, pastries, and the eggs and potatoes were pretty good! Everything was great 10/10.

Initially staff was fine, check in was fine. Left hotel to go eat dinner and go to the beach. I got to my room, unloaded my things, the refrigerator was filthy, the floor in the bathroom had not been swept or mopped, the bathtub/shower combo had someone else’s long brown hair in the tub, on the wall, and on the handle. Sheets were clean…that’s about it. The images on Expedia do NOT look like the location, and the room had an old musty smell. Staff not available after 11pm, and of course it was after 11 when I got into my room. No response when contacting office staff and I was leaving first thing in the morning. I bought some overpriced Clorox wipes and cleaned the bathroom. Will never stay there again.

Beautiful hotel on the outside with a gorgeous lobby, pool area, a wonderful breakfast bar. I also love the large beach chairs outside the rooms. However, when it came to the inside of the room.... the bed was comfortable, sheets and blankets were clean, but there were cracks in the walls everywhere, holes where things used to hang on the walls, the bathroom was dirty, let alone I had to completely clean the hair dryer before using it. It was as if it hadn't been wiped down between bookings and was very dirty with build up and finger prints. Same with the bathroom faucet and sink. There lobby staff was exhaling nice and sweet and are accommodating, but the cleaning staff can be a bit rude.

It is an older facility but the pool, hot tub, and lower cost made it worthwhile. However, this time the hot tub was out-of-service, and the room housecleaning was almost non existent. My wife advised we would not be returning…

This was my first experience renting a golf cart I usually just take my vehicle to the beach but being able to rent it right from the hotel was awesome! And I loved how it helped me not come home with the entire beach in my truck ? Being so close to the beach + my fad coffee chop on the island was amazing. The beds were comfy, the AC worked great, I'm a hot sleeper so that is important to me and the entire place was very clean. I also love the dog friendliness as well as well the picnic area and large grassy area for the pups. My only real complaint is the driveway in the back is extremely rough especially in the golf cart. Would definitely be great is y'all could smoothe that out a little it's like going over a whole curb. There were also a couple of loose tiles in the floor of our room(#46) they didn't really bother me but made me feel bad for the people underneath us. Even stepping lightly they made a pretty loud popping noise.

Comfy bed Felt dirty-i did not want to walk on the floor with my bare feet. The toilet still had pee around the bottom The bathroom wall behind the door had damage like someone was pushed into it and part of spackle was on the floor. Hot tub was not working. It never is. Breakfast was bad. The Only protein was powdered eggs.

It definitely looks nicer online. It’s a little run down. When we got to our room, there was a huge, live roach that greeted us. The room had an odd smell, maybe mildew. Bath towels are very small and beds are kind of hard. Overall, it was a fine stay for wanting something cheap just to sleep in. But next time, I’d spend a little more for something a little nicer. Hot tub was broken and pool was quite foggy.

We enjoyed our stay. The hot tub was so nice after coming back from the beach. The location is perfect. The price was excellent considering location, cleanliness, large room size and price. The not so good, there was an odor in the room. We got use to it but when we’d leave and come back, we’d smell it again. The breakfast wasn’t great at all really and the coffee maker didn’t work. All very manageable things. Even with that said, we recommend this property and will consider staying again when we visit Port A! 🥰👙🌊☀️⛱️

Not much of a selection for for breakfast but just enough to get your day started. The room was clean but unfortunately one of the tiles on the floor was loose . That would be my only complaint. For the price we paid compared to other properties near by it was worth it.

The first room we were put in had a live roach in it and a woman's hair all over the ground. The second room they put us in was a little better, but the railing in the shower was hanging off the wall. Rust everywhere. The dog park trash can was so overflowed with poop that there was bags hanging on the fence and littered on the ground with dog poop. I booked this based on the reviews I read about it being clean and a nice place. I would be hesitant to book here ago.

everything was great and the jetted tub was a bonus. We were close to shops and dining so we had a wonderful stay.

The room was decent. Good size, the office chair had a stain and the room had a weird smell but for the price it was ok. we had originally booked another hotel since we were just going for a day. Decided to stay another day and the original hotel wanted to charge a lot. Found this place on Expedia and it was a really good price. The bath tub was a Jacuzzi which was a real nice surprise. But once I was sitting in it, I looked to my right and could see that the toilet needed a cleaning. The AC was wonderful, kept the room cold the whole time. The stairs leading up to the room were kinda scary. But overall I was pleased with my stay. If you book I definitely suggest having dinner at Kodys across the street.

The WiFi didn’t work. The shower was not what was pictured at all. It just seemed run down and not updated. From the pictures I expected more.

The room was very humid and the bathroom was not up to par. The tub looked like it was dirty but it was just stained. The bottom, corners and walls needed to be resurfaced. It was very musty smelling as well. The room needed a deep cleaning. When we were packing to leave there were 2 men walking in and checking every room, must be to make sure people checked out? We were still packing up and had the door lock out to keep the room open. I informed them we were still moving out, this was at 11:03am. They seem to take the 11:00am very seriously. Location is convenient to everything and I would consider staying here again if I needed to. A friend of ours stayed in a different room and said the same about her room as well. It's mediocre at best

Room was clean, the area was quiet and felt safe. Hotel was located near the places we wanted to go. We were there for Sand fest. The pool was clean and the man at the counter was very nice and friendly he told us what was around the area. I would stay here again.

From the moment we walked in, it was clear something was wrong. The front desk staff were completely unprepared no proper greeting, no professionalism, and one employee appeared to be brand new with no support. Despite the hotel being nearly empty (maybe 5% occupancy), they tried to charge extra for a basic first-floor room and called it an “upgrade.” It only got worse. They placed us in a room at the very back of the property, on the top floor, next to a dumpster. The surrounding area looked like an active construction zone workers hauling trash out of rooms, old mattresses and bed frames hanging over railings. The entire place felt neglected, unsafe, and run down. When we entered the room, it was filthy and unacceptable: Sticky, unclean floors Strong, foul odor throughout Dirty counters and visibly stained, worn furniture AC turned off, making the room unbearably hot The bathroom was beyond disturbing—dead cockroaches in the bathtub and clear signs it had not been cleaned at all. This is not just poor service this is a serious hygiene and maintenance failure. No guest should be subjected to these conditions. Save your money and your health—DO NOT STAY HERE!

Our room had pizza left from other guests in the drawers for clothes, got switched rooms because no cleaning staff was on duty, found a roach in the room, sand on the tub ( not from us), a burnt microwave, and a burnt ironing board. The breakfast was not great however we did enjoy the pool and the hot tub very much. My family had cleanish rooms better than what we got, it could be good if you don’t have much options otherwise I would stay away. It was a pretty mid stay.

Chose to book this property due to high reviews, this was a mistake, checked into room #26, laid down to go to bed and noticed my arms and back felt wet, got up and relized the mattress was URINE soaked under the covers, Went to the lobby to request another room, the new room at least didnt have a urine soaked bed.

The hotel and staff were nice! We enjoyed the hot tub, pool and free breakfast. There were lots of activities to do near by and our family enjoyed our stay.

Bathroom needs renovated. Next door was very noisy during the night. Kept slamming the door.

Stayed the weekend with my family. Couldn’t use the pool or hottub due to over crowding of intoxicated individuals. It was loud with intoxicated individuals partying all night, I had to call the front desk twice and eventually the police due to be threatened by another (intoxicated) guest. I had to have our room serviced twice due to the bedding smelling like urine (even after they changed it once) breakfast was less than desirable, breakfast area not stocked or cleaned from previous days use. I wouldn’t recommend a family getaway here. It seemed like it was all about the party. Super disappointed to have chosen this location for a weekend getaway with my kids. Won’t be returning and probably shouldn’t be listed on Expedia, it doesn’t really reflect well. I’ve never had such a poor experience with an Expedia reservation.

We didn’t get no housekeeping, and the neighbors from upstairs were very noisy. Didn’t get that good of a night sleep.

Breakfast was, waffles, eggs and sausage..juice and coffee.. Only thing that could have been added, was there needs to be a container with water to drink, in the breakfast room. I love my water and there was none available to drink at breakfast.

Good price clean room. Quiet during the week we were there. Bathroom fan in our room was very loud (47). Would stay there again.

Clean rooms. Friendly staff. had problems in one room the AC didn't want to work. Talk to the front desk staff. Had to wait a day and they put in a brand new unit. They just freshly painted when we checked in. Painting the floors right outside our room doors so we went and got dinner and some groceries. When we got back the floor was still wet. The painter and the front desk staff got us some cardboard to put down to get to our rooms. Next morning everything was dry. Great place always stay here. Best prices! Great people.

Food was ok for free food. Pillows and beds could be better but were ok for the price.

Convenient location, enjoyed the hot tub, close to Toby Amos Beach, and the huge alligator in the canal outside my room was super fun to photograph and saw so many in town coming to look at it. The only issue in the room was the toaster oven set off the fire alarm and I felt the fridge could've run colder. Bed was comfortable and room very well designed and extremely cozy. I really enjoyed my stay and will be back!

Unfortunately, it’s best days are way behind them. The room was dirty. They never emptied our trash. We didn’t have enough towels and we didn’t have linens for the fold up bed. The manager was wonderfully nice, but after many years, we will never stay at the Plantation again. There are just better options.

I was very impressed of how good the hotel was. Usually, for twice the money even in a cheap location it is unrelistic to expect the same things this hotel was offering to its guests. The room was bigger than a typical Hyatt Place room. There was plenty of space for our travel cribs. Yes, this hotel officially allowes 3children+2adults in the same room, that is so rare! Everything inside was in order, the beds were clean and felt new, plenty of light features inside even on the ceiling, the A/C was SUPER QUIET even at night, the hot water was hot without waiting. The Internet was trouble free and fast! The hot breakfast was REALLY TASTY (deliciously cooked) and good (good choice of items) and the staff was taking good care of it, the dining room and the guests. There was also a pool, hot pool, grills and many other things available for the guests. Fridge and 1000W of microwave power in the room. All these alone tunes into a good mood.

I seldom write reviews but this place stands out. The effortless, quick, and friendly checkin/checkout was top notch. The small details on the breakfast bar like chocolate chips for waffles showed the hotel is proud of what they do. The facilities are clean and no bells and whistles.

Yes and the general manager, I think her name is Anna….was so sweet and helpful for me today since I lost my phone and totaled my car on vacation. The guy that worked the night before 11/7/2025, was super awesome as well after my wreck.

There were some small issues (some breakfast items not stocked, paint fumes, housekeeping banging on our door well before checkout time, etc.) but the real problem is that the wifi does NOT work. We were told it was spotty on arrival, but for three days, nothing. Something at this property has changed, because we stay here regularly and when scanning for networks this time, most of them were gone, and the few that remained were renamed. Unfortunately, this is a dealbreaker for us, and we will have to look elsewhere (Alister, Days Inn) next time if it is not completely fixed.

Always love coming here. Try to visit as least once a month. New GM is absolutely amazing. She made us feel at home. Great location where we can do our golf cart. Plus pool and hot tub for after the beach. Just always perfect.

Parking was close to the room. Short drive to the beach and town. They were in the process of painting and remodeling. Management responded to any issues or concerns.

The manager and staff were very kind and accommodating. This is an older place but very clean and comfortable. They are making some upgrades currently. I felt safe here traveling alone.

The rooms were somewhat clean several of the rooms we first were put in had black mold The staff was pretty nice The pool was nice no ocean view breakfast was decent but I will never stay here again they definitely need to continue to repair their rooms update their beds up the metal frame of the beds everything is uncomfortable but for two nights it was doable on a budget.

I know that everybody's different , but if the beds could have just been a little more soft and not noisy with a metal boxspring, i might have slept with a smile on my face. Nonetheless, good customer service is always the best.So i'm very happy with that!

Property is getting dated. Our bathroom door would get stuck and the handle was upside down. Nice that it’s pet friendly. Area was quiet.

Breakfast is acceptable but could be improved. If the problem is the costs, just increase the price. You pay for a good breakfast. The rooms are fine but could use some improvements to the mattresses and lamps, and some of the high dusting. Otherwise, it's fine.

The room smelled like it was mopped with mildew old mop water. There was no alarm clock. One of the lamps did not turn on. And the mirror was not there like it was ripped off the wall. The pillows and bedding and Mattress was very comfortable.

Air conditioning worked great. Mattress was very comfortable. But the bed frame was so noisy. Room was extremely dirty. Pool was full of paint from the people painting exterior. The lock on our room didnt work. Leftover food from precious people. Rust and peeling paint in the microwave .

It was alright.

We just needed a quick over night place to stay on our trip back home. You definitely get what you pay for. They were painting the hotel walls and we were unable to access our room when we first arrived because they were painting around our door, my toddler enjoyed the finger painting experience. We had to park in the grass because they had the parking lot closed off for the painters. The room was generally ok, it was probably the place to be back in the 60s which I think is when it was last decorated inside. The room also smelled damper than Davy Jones’s locker. The gravel around the pool is like walking on a bed of nails, I wouldn’t recommend for a stay longer than a one night. There wasn’t any bugs in our room which was a bonus.

It was all chill. I loved my stay at Plantation. Will be doin it again .

Also , the place was under renovation and it is lookin pretty sweet . I will definitely check-in the hotel . It was fair prices, dog friendly, park and walkable was perfect. Also you can buy your own food and cook on the pit on the property which is pretty sweet . And they got tent benches stuff like that to sit on and hang out with friends and family . Pool is nice and clean , very sweet . Breakfast , they got peanut butter jif pods which is totally sweet for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on the beach. My stay will happen again , next year when summer is back on. Totally.

Rooms were clean, updated and supplied well with towels, hair dryer, iron and coffee and cups.

The breakfast was good what I didn't like there was a kid running and jumping in their room over our head from the time we checked in at 4:00 till 3:00 in the morning the towels one was wet and the sheets on the bed were a little wet

Very nice place with reasonable rates for a property located at the coast. The breakfast spread is decent and does help save on money when you are on a budget to be able to not have to pay for breakfast.

First room we had been put into had mold, the smell was so strong and you could see it in the lamp between the beds, they told my fiance that it was “dead” but it obviously wasn’t, we were there with our 1 yr old and me pregnant, we got switched to a second room that didn’t have the same smell thankfully but started developing the dark mold stains by the end of our stay, I’d say that’s the only thing that made it terrible because our kid ended up getting sick, they also have no housekeeping so the room was dirty too with dog hair inside drawers and in corners of floor, floor wasn’t clean and beds had weird dar red stains in the mattress, I wouldn’t recommend

The AC worked great and kept the room nice and cool. The room itself was clean, but the bathroom definitely needs some attention. There was a foul odor coming from the plumbing and noticeable mold, which isn’t ideal—especially for someone with allergies like me. Overall, the property could benefit from some updates and maintenance.

After a speedy check-in, walked into a very clean and spacious room, good breakfast, great price, overall no complaints.

Room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is a 5 min drive to the beach and a 10 min drive to the ferry. No room service during my 3-day stay, but that was fine because the price was so reasonable. Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Port Aransas!

Arrived for late check in for 2 night stay. As soon as we walked in room. Smell of mold hit us hard. Being tired, we went to sleep only to get awakend by my daughter having trouble breathing. Told front desk of our situation and got offered to get moved to another room. We did not want to risk it and got a room at another hotel. I asked for a refund and was told they could no give it to me since reservation was done thru hotels.com. Called hotels.com and was told hotel manager was supposed to approve refund. Its been a week and so far no refund.

Good stay. Beds were comfortable. They would squeak every now and then when shifting. Place was quiet in general but can hear people rolling luggage and carts outside easily. Didn’t care for their breakfast, could be better. Good location with eateries and beach nearby.

We walked in was immediately shocked to see that it looked NOTHING like the pictures on the hotels.com website. We paid $221/night for a rusty bath tub, outdated furniture, hollow walls and horrible noise all through the night. It just looked junky. Never returning. Please update to true photos and bring down the price! Unacceptable.

The ceiling was stained and there were stains on the sofa pullout mattress. There was a stain on the floor from the lamp. The mattresses were spring mattresses and creaked a lot, but I you get what you pay for. The front desk staff was friendly though. Our room had plenty of space though. It's very close to the beach and next to a Dollar General if you forget incidentals.

Terrible, cockroaches in the rooms, we turned around and checked out and did not bother staying. Looks like barf was in the bathtub too

Needs renovation

We absolutely will never stay here again. The room was dirty, had mold and smelled like mold, rust in the bathroom and tub was filthy. To get more clean towels we had to turn in the dirty ones at the front just to get more clean towels. The sheets had bad stains luckily we brought our own sheets. Definitely not worth your money staying here way overpriced for this trash.

This was the most unclean and unkempt hotel we’ve ever stayed in. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting with a brown shower curtain… they not only do not clean in between stays, but they are also stingy on towels. The noise at night was unreasonable with both neighbors having parties. For the amount of money we paid to be here I would expect better… we will not be coming back

Was black mold in room. Rooms were not cleaned at all doubt they even had new sheets we had to buy blankets to use because beds were disgusting. The pull out sofa that was supposed to be for my 9 year old appeared to have been pissed on and put up without being cleaned, which explains the smell of the room as well. The pool was filthy had chunks of hair in it literally was pulling off literal chunks of hair off of me pieces of paper deteriorating throughout. Hot tub didnt work and is just as gross as pool. Breakfast was edible but barely. Only thing positive about this place is that its at the beach. We left to come to another hotel just down the road instead of extending our booking. Then even after we had checked out tried charging $158 dollars after we paid in full on expedia even charged me $33 dollars before i could check in additional to what i paid in full on expedia. Not sure why they tried to charge the additional $158.00 but pretty sure we left that room cleaner than it was before.

rooms were almost soundproof. outside noise from people going up & down was not noticible like in many other hotels.

We used to LOVE vacationing at the Plantation Inn, but it appears to have not been kept up with. I know they painted the outside of the building a few years ago but when we got there it looked like it hadnt been painted in years and looked old and cheap. The rooms looked bad. Holes in walls, paint chipped, toilet seat doesnt stay on. The breakfast was the only thing kind of ok. There is no phone in the room to contact the front desk so if you need anything you need to walk all the way to the front desk which stinks if its dark out. There were no available pool towels and you cant even get in the pool until 10am which stinks because check out is at 11am. Cant check in until 4pm. For what they charged we could have gotten a nicer room at a motel 6. We will be looking for a new place to stay on vacation. Positive- The front desk staff were so nice and friendly and quick to help when we needed an extra pillow and blanket for the couch. I did appreciate that.

This place definitely has potential with some updates. A refresh of the rooms, bathroom improvements, and an investment in more comfortable mattresses would go a long way. But based on the current conditions, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

The staff is very sweet and nice. They do their best to try and help. Rooms are big and spacious. Close to beach . Cons: Our first room had mold on the wall behind the bed and beside the bed. It was also in the bathroom. The lamp shades are stained yellow so first impression when you walk in the room is not good. They were this way in both rooms. We asked for a different room and were moved. The second room still had mold in the bathroom. Mildew on both rooms shower curtains. The ac unit made a scratching noise each time it kicked on, very loud and it kept my toddler awake. The fridge made a awful buzzing noise as well. The whole night. And the worst part other than the mold was the beds. They are very uncomfortable and hard. Both husband and I woke up so stiff and sore. Top lock chain broken on the door in new room which is a must have if you have a little toddler who knows how to open doors. And lastly, the toilet makes this awful screeching noise each time we flushed it. Overall would not stay here again. The price was decent but not enough to sacrifice my family's comfort. Really wanted to like it but had to leave an honest review. The place requires some upkeep.

The room wasnt as clean as expected. Things were rusted. Hard to find an outlet that would charge phones. Almost $200 to check in at 4 pm and out at 11am. Not even 24 hours. Inside fridge/freezer looked dirty. Floors looked dirty. Not worth what we paid honestly.

It was conveniently located on the main highway. Direct access to the beach was difficult due to purposely-planned dead ends by the city of Port Aransas. Had a few mechanical problems that were cheerfully and promptly resolved.

Room was disgustingly dirty. Pool was unclean. Bathroom looked to have never been cleaned.

I booked two rooms both with queen beds, they were fullsize. The rooms smelled like cigarettes. The upstairs room had mold on the lamp. The bed was super uncomfortable and the bed frames were metal boxes so any hit on it would make noise

Easy stay

When I was on my way I was contacted and said they would not hold my room after 4 because they couldn’t get my card to work I informed them I had gotten a new card but that my deposit had been paid in which he said it had not but on the hotels.com site it showed it had. When I arrived at 1pm I was told my room was about to be cancelled again. I cleared it up and then had to pay the deposit again. He said he only had the honeymoon suite. This was odd since it was just my daughter and I. However when I walked up to the room after 5 the room definitely was just a standard king room and was run down. The floor was still sandy, there was hair in the bathroom, mold in the fridge and on the bathroom floor, the shelf in the bathroom was coming off the wall, the lock on the front door wouldn’t lock from the inside. Then upon Leaving I pulled the bed sheet back and there was globs of hair at the foot of the bed, which no one had slept under since we brought our own blanket. When we were in the pool there was giant strands of hair floating in it so we quickly got out. There were no other places to stay for the weekend and didn’t want to lose the money we had already spent so we roughed it out anyway.

We had started our vacation at a LaQuinta in Corpus Christi. The pics looked great, but when we arrived it was obvious there was a problem with that motel and after two day of misery, we were finally able to leave there. I found the Plantation Suites by accident and we were able to stay here for our last night. What a difference. We went from a 5 star dumpster fire to an outstanding facility. Extremely clean, extremely well maintained. My granddaughters loved the pool and my better half fell in love with their charm. We love coming to the Port Aransas area and now we will return here every year and stay at the Plantation Suites

I’ve stayed at Plantation Suites over the years and this year was really a let down. There was obvious signs of needing upkeep around the room. Bedding looked like it could’ve been cleaned better. Bathroom (shower) was not in good clean condition. Breakfast wasn’t good. The pool was dirty. Just overall it felt like it’s gone downhill which is so disappointing as I’ve loved my stays prior to this one.

I rarely leave bad reviews but I have to be honest about the disappointment I experienced at Plantation Suites. My siblings and I lost our mom this year and it was supposed to be a great time away but the fridge didnt work, ac took forever to cool down, stains on sheets, some kind of substance on headboard, hole in the wall, a patched hole on another wall but not painted, pool was dirty with super high chlorine and you could feel the hair floating in the water rub across your legs, I could go on. I had the "condo" and my siblings had 3 other rooms - they smelled like mildew and were dirty. Very disappointed.

Location wise, it was perfect if you are wanting to explore the Port Aransas area.

Stay was great, friendly front desk employee, safe environment. Hot tub didn’t seem to be functioning as it should but other than that great stay.

On another note, if you are checking out on Sunday, stay in Port A until after 12:30

The floor in our bathroom had hair all over it a used bar of soap in the shower and the bathtub was disgusting with areas of the enamel chipping that were very sharp. The pull out couch was filthy when we unfolded it. There were stains and tons of dog hair on the mattress cover that unzipped and could have been change. When I told the front desk about it they gave me an extra sheet to put on the mattress. The ice machine had the same empty beer cans crushed and setting on it for 3 days and at night all you could smell was marijuana. It was a very disappointing stay. We use to love to stay her with our 4 kids and we recommended it to everyone but we will not be back and will make sure to tell people that it has gone down hill and not a place to stay!

The staff was wonderful, and breakfast was good. However, the property definitely need refurbishing! For example, I did not want to use the ice from their machine because of the extensive rusting and the dirt around the area. There was a hole in the ceiling of my room and lots of chipped paint. I eas with a large group of family with four different rooms. The family members had similar experiences of old musty rooms except the group in the large suite. It was in better condition than the others. The swimming pool was very dirty. Even the kids did not want to swim in it.

IT was my moms and my brothers first time in Port Aransas, and second rime in Usa. And it wasnt pleasant stay. I booked two queen bed room with sleep couch and i think theh haven't clean the room for a long time. It was filthy, dirty. Sheets had mold on it and the sleepers couch, i even dont want to talk about it. It was surely not was sleeping, i even did not want to sit on it. You needed to be careful to sit on the toilet because it was moving around and feels like comes out the floor. Plus on br3akfast you get water, water down juice and coffee is not coffee. I wanted creamer and when i open it it was molded. Disgusting. But overall Port Aransas welcomed us great and the beach was beautiful. As we know, when you cheap, you can not wait more. But i have been more cheaper place and it has been the best stay. You need to be proud of the stuffs what you own, and i feel the owners are not really taking care of this place, there is potential.

It would have been a great room for a cheaper price but at the price we paid, a little more is expected. It was a good place to lay our heads after spending the day out and about.

Unfortunately, we walked in our room and walked right out. So much mold on ceilings, base boards floors were wet furniture was wet and couch had mold. We booked the handicaps room as my daughter is handicapped and couldn’t believe what we walked into. Highly disappointed and health risk!

Definitely did not enjoy our stay, would not recommend this motel. We booked 3 nights and checked out after the first night. Room did not fit description, sheets had blood, towels were dirty, out dated bathroom was putting it mildly and the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Will not ever stay here again and will not recommend going by reviews this place.

This hotel needs a deep clean and refresh. We had to go get air fresheners to hide the smell and Clorox wipes to clean commonly used surfaces. Fixtures had mold/mildew spots and so did the bedding. The mattresses are worn and the metal bed frames squeak every time you get up. The floors need a good scrub and swept behind beds. Not the worst place I’ve stayed but a good clean and refresh would really make this place decent.

Very hospitable, also helped us with no issues when we had misplaced a key. Will definitely book another stay here in the future. Awesome breakfast very kind staff and quiet area.

This was our 4th time to stay here and it is always clean, well stocked and all of the employees are so friendly. I would highly recommend it.

We have stayed here several times in the last couple of years. The staff--Kevin especially-- was very attentive, and most of all, the towels were clean and the covers bright white. The only thing I didn't like is that the beds have a cover underneath where the legs are, like a metal skirt is, and they make a booming sound when you get in. We just laughed about it.

Me and my daughters arrived around 3 pm and asked if we could check in early, that was not an option as the guy said we had to wait until 4 pm. We killed some time at the beach and then went back shortly after 4. We were able to check in however, when we walked in it smelt of wetness and the first attention grabber was the lamps - obviously we had to turn them on for more room lighting but OH My Goodness, from eyes view it looked like mold on the bottom of each one!!! The floors were tile and dirty not to mention the dirty baseboards. BUT THE WORST was the bathtub with someone’s hair in it and it looked dirty, like it hadn’t even been cleaned or ATTEMPTED to be cleaned. So long story short, I could not let my children stay there as I felt like it was one of those motels from the movies - cheap and dirty. I was almost in tears when I went to the front desk and said that the room was dirty, the bathtub hadn’t been cleaned cuz there was hair in it and dirt on the bottom and lastly because the bathroom soap dispenser to push on WAS DIRTY. I put my room keys down and said we cannot stay here, my girls used the restroom and sat on one bed. The guy said ok, and I walked out. I didn’t ask for a different room because at this point I was already so exhausted and just wanted to lay my head down and most importantly didn’t want to be disgusted again at $180 a night. On the plus side the sheets appeared to be very white but I just couldn’t imagine the stay there. We were there for 10 min

It was a quiet stay. The rooms felt like there was sand on the floor and bed but they appeared clean enough. The shower did have black mold between the grout and caulking. AC worked good. Parking was good. Breakfast needed some help but it was free so, I won’t complain.

The lift chairs for the pool and hot tub did not work. So my father or was not able to get into the pool or hot tub

The room had splatters up the wall, couch had holes, stains and dog hair, the chair had food or something on it and stains. The RR looked gross and I was so grossed out I got my family out of there and got my money back.

My family and I stayed at this hotel twice in last two months and the experience was exactly the same!

It was decent the ppl were amazing but it was dusty and the furniture was severely outdated for 400$ plus a night !!!!

Very reasonable rates. Nice sized clean room on the second floor. Very pleasant staff. Only thing that i found that could be better would be a lighting upgrade. The lamp shades had holes in them and the floor lamp couldn't be turned on. New artwork update would make the rooms amazing!
