Beautiful hotel, clean, modern and spacious rooms. The staff were very helpful with any needs or questions that came up. Only downside is there is only valet parking available, which is understandable for a downtown location but also inconvenient if you forgot something in your vehicle!

The AC is well located with nearby restaurants, bars, coffee shops, stores and the waterfront with all its events. Also not far from the moda center and convention center

The hotel looks like a bargain at first, but the extra fees add up quickly — $49 for valet parking (plus tip) and another $15 for breakfast made the stay more expensive than expected. The staff was friendly and professional throughout, but they seemed stretched very thin due to understaffing. With more support for the team and clearer upfront pricing, the experience would have been much better. Besides the major parking issue, this is a beautiful hotel in a great location.

Amazing staff that were friendly and helpful with my first stay in Portland! Would highly recommend!

1. The breakfast buffet was not worth the $15.95 charge. 2. House keeping was very poor. They did not come into the room during our stay, except once, and because we were in the room at that time, they never returned at a later time. We had been staying out late due to our outdoor treks, and we did not return to the room until very late at night, so it was unpleasant to know that upon our arrival back to the room in the late hours, the towels and linens were not replaced. There are signs in the bathroom stating if we wanted the towels replaced, then to leave them on the floor, and we did. Unfortunately, the lack of house keeping dampened our experience here. 3. Lastly, we were charged a valet fee when we did not use the valet.

Valet was excellent service and a fun and friendly first customer experience at check in. Not something expected and helped the stay start off right.

When I arrived there was a previous guests food in the fridge and the room not was not well cleaned, and the room was not cleaned for the entire three day stay. I was attending a trade show and had an awkward flight at midnight so tried to sort out a day rate or late checkout so I could have a place to replace my equipment but they only offered to charge me for a full day rate that was MUCH MORE expensive than my original booking, despite the fact that there was ample vacancy. The breakfast was ludicrously overpriced at $16 USD and was a basic continental breakfast that other hotels would have for free. The building looks fancy and modern but unfortunately the place is poorly managed and staffed. Will not stay again.

The room was ok. The flooring was bubbled throughout and the bathroom was an interesting design layout. The bathroom was compact and encased in glass with a film design of stripes. Unfortunately, this allowed you to see inside the bathroom when someone was in it. Also, the sliding glass door did not close completely and you could literally see the person sitting on the toilet from your bed. Total lack of privacy.

The parking was terrible $50 for ballet parking for one night that’s expensive. You had to wait for someone to leave late at night so you’re able to park your car.

Check in was easy. The staff at check in were extremely helpful. The room was nice and spacious. We had a couple drinks at the hotel bar and the bartender was friendly and he was great. We enjoyed the coffee bar each morning. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel in the heart of the Pearl district downtown. Clean, modern with comfortable beed and nicely designed. I little more breakfast options in the morning would have been nice.

Overall, the room was good. The hotel is in the heart of downtown, so lots to do in the area. Short walk to Voodoo Donuts, restaurants, coffee shops, and the riverfront. The room had cable tv, which felt a little limiting. Would rather gave streaming options. Parking a vehicle on property was very expensive. Would look into other parking options in the future. Staff were great and overall comfort and cleanliness was good.

I enjoyed the bed The view of the room was awful. There was a loud buzzing sound all night. The staff wasn’t very friendly at all. The sofa bed didn’t have blankets in the room I had to wait til I was ready to lay down in bed and discover this and then had to call down and wait another 20 minutes for it to be delivered. Valet parking didn’t answer several times. Also there are no prices on any items in the lobby. I paid $11 for a coke and Gatorade and $5 for a TINY bag of chips.

We were told that a late checkout, (noon) instead of 11 am, would not be charged to the room. What’s weird is that the attendant even offered the option prior to me asking if there was a charge. This hotel tries to appear affordable but seems to sneak charges in that will inevitably ruin their reputation.

Beds uncomfortable. Pillows too hard. Bathroom glass door kept getting stuck and it was difficult to open to get out. Did appreciate the mini frig and complimentary water bottles. Also, staff delivering a microwave when the front desk staff couldn't explain how to use the microwave in the front lobby.

Excellent location. Room was very clean and I had breakfast included. I will definitely come back to this hotel.

Clean room and accommodating staff.

Sofa bed had garbage on it when we pulled it out. Side table had glass rings and some other substance on it. Kids spilled some water on the floor and when I wiped it up the towel was black. Crumbs on the table. If we hadn’t gotten in so late I would’ve looked elsewhere for new accommodations.

The room was very clean, but I did have to ask to get some new towels twice before they were brought to the room. According to the room note, I was under the impression they would be replaced, but they weren't before I asked.

Stayed for five days, the staff was courteous. Check in was effortless as well as check out. The room was comfortable & more importantly clean! The cleaning staff were friendly & always helpful. Easy access to local transportation.

I love the very first room that I stayed in however the last two times I booked there I was put in a room directly across from the elevator which is my least favorite room. I dated one night and then ended up booking another night the next day because a lady friend wanted my company and the same staff member seemed kinda j judgmental. I get that a lot because I dress a certain way because I don’t want people to know that I have money. I often get judged as homeless which I am not. I have stayed at the courtyard downtown and it never matters who I bring to my room or how I dress I applaud get the same treatment which is the way it is supposed to be. Don’t judge a book by its cover. Especially not me.

The booking.com site said "on site parking". I chose this hotel for this very reason but no such parking exists at this property. This was on Booking.com not the hotel website. Also, Breskfsxt was mentioned on booking.com but it turned out to be $15.95 per person.

Room is clean and good size, front desk staff very friendly. Location is great for shopping and just a block away from light rail station.

Bar and aesthetic No free breakfast. I can’t remember the last place I stayed at that didn’t offer free breakfast (if they served it). Very disappointed in that.

We booked this place because it said that breakfast was included, which was not true. They gave us a mini croissant and cold coffee as compensation for the inconvenience. We are definitely not happy with this experience. Sadly, we liked the area and the style of the hotel.

Extremely clean and quiet rooms. Very close to anything, walking or driving. Have stayed here 3 times, that’s how much I enjoyed it. Valet staff is also great and you can text them whenever you need your vehicle. I live in town and love this spot for a staycation.

Perfect location. Easy to walk to Pioneer Square, or Waterfront Park. Nice bar downstairs for a glass of wine in the evening. The bathroom had a few things that housekeeping seemed to miss. Nobody wants to see hair in the sink when they arrive.

i actually didn't even realize there was a pool or hot tub, maybe it was closed for winter season. Room was beautiful, but i missed having storage in form of drawers or cabinet in bathroom.

The room was fine, but not cleaned well. There were signs of vomit in several places in the room, and also we found a can of White Claw under the bed, which was odd. Also, the toilet had an unusually wide seat which was a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise, our stay was just fine.

However, I did notice that the property is starting to feel a bit dated. The HVAC system in my room kept shutting off, which was inconvenient, and the flooring was bubbling in certain areas. Despite these issues, the stay was comfortable and enjoyable. In summary, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for convenience and value, though the hotel could benefit from some updates and maintenance.

The conditioner and shampoo were of poor quality and my daughter could not reach them. The room was not tidy and when I asked they said they didn’t know we needed it tidy, in every hotel they tidy up rooms. The breakfast was not nice we had to go someplace else.

There was hardly anything on the breakfast buffet. We had travelled with kids and we just went to another place in Downtown for breakfast.

Modern feel hotel - rooms are minimally decorated/vinyl floors, but handy if you need a bed with a pull out. Overall clean and pretty pleasant stay. Have to walk only a block or so for downtown amenities. Some parking garages nearby.

There was a loud bus running outside of my room on the street for 2 days and nights straight. The hotel said it belonged to a group of guests and there was nothing they could do about it.

Clean room, amazing staff & located perfectly for walking to a nice dinner. We actually stayed here twice. Once after our delayed flight arriving late into Portland & again our last night with an early morning flight back home.

I arrived early and they didn’t seem to want to check me in and the room wasn’t available until a while after check in time. Being lifetime gold didn’t help. And I accidentally left something in the room but there is no way to ask if they found anything when you call. They were not interested in solving that.

Both times I used my car from valet they didn’t put my seat back at all. Both times just of been short people because I couldn’t get back in my 2021 E350 without waiting after I pushed my memory. Wasn’t released about that. They should put the seats back

Very clean hotel! Comfortable beds. They held my luggage for me a few days before my stay so I could explore before heading out to the coast! Stayed here last year as well. Will definitely be staying again.

Upon return, somehow my reservation for king room changed to a two queens. The manager got involved as the desk clerk was unable to change the room assignment. The room was comfortable, sheets could be of higher quality. The cleaning staff rapped on our door at 8am. I dont know what possessed them to do that as although we didn’t display a DND, that’s far too early for a knock on the door if checkout is 11am. Although the valet parking is very expensive, the service was quick and courteous.

AC Hotel has the best location in DT Portland. Easily walkable to all the nearest restaurants and bars. Rooms are simple but clean. Amazingly quite at night even for downtown. There are plenty of shopping nearby if you need to get it our of your system. During our visit (August) there were plenty of street parking and didn't even need to use valet. I would stay here again.

Definitely recommend a new group of people in the valet area because my car was damaged. I have it on video that it was not damaged prior to being there but nobody wanted to hear that they made up a ticket and told us there was nothing they could do. It's just disgusting

Nice hotel

My daughter Alivia went to purchase coffee and water at the marketplace and told them that she had a $14 credit from Expedia and they said they would take care of it. But I received my receipt from the hotel and was charged $7 and not credited. She also did not receive a room upgrade.

I loved the beds, the area was safe and very walkable. It was perfect for our concert and we were able to walk there and back. Staff was very friendly and we were able to check in early. Hotel was very clean and the rooms were recently remodeled.

Poor Housekeeping: The room was not cleaned even once during the stay, despite daily housekeeping being a standard expectation at any hotel. No Room Service or In-Room Communication: There was no room service available, and we were unable to call the front desk from our room. For any assistance, we had to physically go down to the lobby, which was extremely inconvenient. Mishandled Food Delivery: Before ordering food via Uber Eats, I called the front desk to confirm the process. Alan from the reception assured me I could have food delivered and pick it up from the lobby. However, when we arrived, the food was missing. We have photo evidence showing the delivery was made in the lobby. The hotel staff denied receiving it and refused to take any responsibility. We suggested checking security footage to trace what happened to the order, but this was dismissed. Key Card Issues: Our room key stopped working both days. We had to return to the front desk multiple times to get it reissued, which was frustrating and unnecessary after long travel days. The lack of cleanliness, poor communication, mishandled food delivery, and unprofessional behavior from the staff made the experience thoroughly disappointing. I do not recommend this hotel and hope management addressesthis

However, the parking experience was extremely disappointing. I paid $50 for parking, but after checking out, it took nearly 30 minutes just to get my car back. For such a premium rate, I expected a much smoother and quicker process.

The room smell bad and also the bed sheets smell like it hasn't changed after another guest left , and also the breakfast was not good at all.

Overall, very satisfied with our stay. Staff was very welcoming and helpful in the answering of various questions and concerns. Property was very well-kept, and clean. Truly have nothing bad to say about our stay, however, note; there is no self parking on the premises. Either pay 50-60$ for valet, or put your vehicle on the street. We lucked out and were able to park on the street for free due to the times and day of the week. So many good spots for food around the hotel.

Service was great, room was wonderful. Only thing I could complain about is the breakfast spread. Definitely not worth $15 each so if you stay here just walk down to Drip Drop coffee and get some real food for the less. Everything else was great, valet service was $50 for overnight which I don’t think it too bad at all.

Rooms are well sized and well designed. Every floor has a hydration station with filtered water and ice. Bottled water was provided every 2 days during housekeeping, which was much appreciated given the hot weather.

The front desk staff member was not very friendly when we arrived or checked out. Almost as if we were bothering him. Lastly, the shape of the square toilet was awkward to sit on and uncomfortable. Other than those things, the property and rooms are updated and modern. They have several shopping and dining options in walking distance of the property.

Property was clean and room was nice. We did not eat or drink anything from Hotel so can not comment on that. As far as Booking, was a little different from what we were first given. Booked a room with a sofa couch and view of river is what it said on Expedia. We received a room on the 4th Floor with no view of the river and no sofa couch/bed as we booked. Went to front desk and spoke with Jack. He made it right by placing us in a room with the couch/bed as we needed it for your son. He also moved us to a room with a clear view of the river as stated when we booked. Make sure and read the parking situation as the Valet did not explain it very well to at all. (Glad I looked ahead of time) Yes you must pay for Valet and they charge you for oversized vehicles. Only other issue I have, but most hotels are now doing this (BOO) Maid service is only every other day and was not even an option for daily service. (I asked) That always is a negative point with me as when traveling that is part of the experience is clean and fresh linen daily. Overall I would stay again at this property.

The place is clean and at a great location. Breakfast was good but they need one other person working the breakfast area. The poor girl was having to do everything and the supplies were getting low so it would take some time for her to catch up. Also the sink in the room was having a hard time draining

We only stayed one night. Hotel always had a line to get in the elevators. Ate at the bar downstairs and there was only one server so it took forever no fault of hers. She should have had help. It was way too much. Drink was bad I couldn’t even drink it and the food was mid at best.

The tv was broken and the remote didn’t work. We told front desk and they moved us to a different room. We had the same issue, we just ignored reporting it. They told us they had a high volume of people coming in so there wasn’t much we couldn’t do

The hotel was super clean - the only bad experience was breakfast on Saturday. We arrived down around 9AM and there was hardly any food left, there were dirty dishes everywhere, no clean silverware, no glasses for water, yet we were still charged $15 a plate. Very disappointing for a Marriott.

A great hotel, received a free $15 credit with stay, upgraded to a higher view, cute little breakfast spot behind the slab of wood, nice shower in the bathroom. Just an amazing location!

This hotel was amazing and special thanks to Alex at the front desk as he was so helpful with everything. The only beef I had with the property is that I feel like there should be a microwave in every room and maid service every other day is just not acceptable.

A solid budget choice which offers nice, but basic room furnishings. There are typically no storage drawers for clothes except for 2 small drawers under the fridge compartment. We asked for additional hangers and green tea…they were provided quickly. Hotel location was great for walking around downtown.

Lovely area to stay in far enough away from old town to be away from homeless my car was completely safe never had a worry and property was beautiful
