They have the best gym you will see in a hotel. Close to shops, food trucks, downtown restaurants and in a walkable area of the city.
- 3/5
The staff was extremely rude, especially the young lady working in the market section
- 5/5
Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Had a coffee shop, restaurant and a bar. Very convenient as it was all on the main floor near lobby. Would stay here again.

The cheese dip was like soup and definitely no worth the order
- 5/5
I like the lobby, wide open, with the bar and restaurant. The gym is large/comfortable I had a great time, I got up to the 23rd , the panoramic view, spectacular. Windows are too small, on a nice day I like the fresh air coming in.

Parking is horrendous. Had to walk a block to and from hotel to get to vehicle. Staff was not accommodating or helpful. Staff was judgmental at the front desk and asking personal questions.
- 2/5
Noise in the room due to the temperature device. Nobody answered phone at night to the reception. Empty amenities in the room even if you want to pay for them. Empty fridge. For a Hilton I expect much better definitely.
- 3/5
Water pressure is unacceptable, hardly no pressure, bell man never showed up, got stuck on the elevator! Didn’t know I would get charged a extra $225 when I checked in and haven’t got receipt or email since o checked out which was promised from a text , then I had to call the front desk to speak with someone, still haven’t received it!

Excellent location in Downtown Portland -- easy to drive to and park at as well as walk to/from the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall and the river front. Wonderful staff, too.

Clean. Modern. Secure.

The staff was fantastic!

- 3/5
Room 1619 was clean; however, there was a noticeable urine odor that comes and goes. Additionally, there was a drainage issue in the bathroom—the shower did not drain properly, causing water to accumulate during use.
- 5/5
Nice hotel. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Good restaurant at hotel. On a busy weekend, parking in the garage was limited. Valet was available.
- 3/5
difficulty w/ booking a certain kind of room and gettng a very different and awkward room due to over booking. we were there for a dance convention.
- 4/5
Parking was awful
- 4/5
The food for the conference was excellent!
- 5/5
Clean and beautiful! Great restaurant on property with a gym as well.
- 4/5
Clean room. Excellent bar tender. (Ashly) food was delicious
- 1/5
The property is old. Some things could use updating. There are absolutely no amenities like pool, hot tub. The prices at the bar are overpriced. They make you pay for parking in the worst underground parking I've ever been in. I'll never go back there.

One of the biggest highlights was the location. We attended the Jammin’ Bob Marley Symphony at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, and the hotel is right across the street—an easy walking distance, which was incredibly convenient. Our room had a beautiful view, and it was also very clean, which I always appreciate. The only downside was that the suite felt a bit smaller than expected. Based on the photos, I had hoped for a little more space, as the pictures made it appear larger in scale. I also wish the hotel had been more upfront about parking costs. Self-parking is $45 and valet is $59, which is important information to know ahead of time. Also, the hotel is a cashless location, and all transactions here are either by POS or QR code, which can be a turn off for people who like to tip in cash or need change from a large bill. Overall, despite a couple of minor drawbacks, we had a great experience and I would absolutely stay here again with my family.
- 4/5
This was the second time we have stayed at this Hilton. We find the hotel clean, service good, valet excellent, and location very walkable. I did message the hotel prior and never received a reply and if you want to stream a program that is not an option. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and will return.
- 5/5
Very clean and accommodating
- 1/5
To many druggies and staff wasn’t helpful and room was super small
- 3/5
Tv was glitched out, would prefer to be given a phone number to call the valet, i would like to have been able to see what was on the breakfast menu the night before, using the qr code, relatively small room with old fashioned style
- 3/5
The staff at the Hilton Downtown PDX was great. Everyone was very friendly and professional. The hotel was clean and in a great location, very walkable to so much. The room itself wasn't bad, with a comfortable bed, but the pillows were too tall to sleep comfortably. The room was very small, but not a big deal since we weren't there to hang out in the room. My biggest complaint would be the bathroom. It is too small. There was no counter space to put out your makeup or other items that one might need to get ready comfortably. I might stay here again, but I would probably look for a place with a little more room first.
- 3/5
No free wifi and very expensive parking charges.

The location is great. You’re close to all the shopping and whatever Portland can offer. The view of my room was really nice. Just the room was a bit outdated and small.
- 5/5
The room was exceptional. The staff second to none to none. Food was great. Bar service, best service I received in awhile. Hilton Portland best hotel on west coat.
- 5/5
The Hilton was in the heart of Portland! It was close to GREAT shopping. & restaurants!
- 2/5
Access to and from the parking area was very challenging. We were driving an SUV and nearly scraped the side wall; there were many visible scratch marks on the wall, likely from other vehicles as well.
- 5/5
The area was close to many dining options and felt very comfortable walking around. Parking was easy and the staff very accommodating.
- 5/5
Very peaceful and Quiet very huge luxury rooms
- 2/5
Wasn’t aware of the valet charge until too late. Rooms felt small and cheap. Lobby didn’t feel welcoming
- 3/5
Room could use work, worn and dingy. Bed was terrible
- 5/5
Room was clean, though there was a strong oder of weed when we first checked it. It either dissipated or we grew used to it. Staff was friendly, check in was easy and smooth and the entire atmosphere of the hotel was wonderful. Will absolutely stay here again.
- 4/5
The room was very clean, except around essentially the baseboards along the window. I was in my socks, and I ended up with lots of fuzzies on my socks. Additionally, the fan motor squeaked like there was a squirrel in it, and it was very disrupting to my sleep hence I got up and left at 3:30 AM
- 4/5
There was a very bad glitch in their parking system for opening the gates one has to pass through to get in or out of their secured parking garage. However, the management gave me the valet service to make up for the inconveniece. Thank you, Anthony.
- 5/5
Clean decent room. Great location for walking to different spots. The parking was great, I felt better that it was underground and needed a key to get in and out.
- 5/5
I’m 6’1 and valet never puts my seat back and make it hard to get in. It’s easy to push memory 1.
- 5/5
Spotless, Quit, comfort, great service

Everything was great! I would recommend upgrading the TV’s to Smart TV’s.
- 5/5
Everything was great 👍
- 5/5
The location the staff and room was all amazing
- 3/5
The room wouldn’t let me set the AC below a certain temperature. I barely slept because I was overheating all night. Also, the elevators weren’t working correctly. I got stuck in one of the elevators for about a minute because the door wouldn’t open. Another elevator wouldn’t read my room key unless I tried to scan it 10,11,12 times. Finally, I self parked. When I tried to leave the garage it wouldn’t read my room key, so I ended up paying twice (once through incidentals/used incidental money to cover the parking fee), then again when I left the garage.
- 5/5
Clean
- 4/5
Good stay! Staff was awesome
- 4/5
The service was great. Parking is horrible. The shower pressure was horrible- it barely trickled out. The towels looked washed but had residual hair on them from guests. Disgusting. The concierge and parking attendant were so kind.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly and the restaurant food was decent. Nice conference facilities and very walkable.
- 5/5
Had a great experience. Clean, comfy beds, walkable to restaurants, stores and theater. Felt safe.
- 3/5
Conceriage was very helpful at the front desk I was surprised the room had no microwave or freezer, definitely not what was expected at a Hilton Hotel
- 5/5
It was great
- 5/5
I appreciate that rooms are cleaned daily without having to make a request like other Hilton properties do (Hampton Inn). It’s the right thing to do. Thank you.
- 4/5
The room was beautiful, staff was very helpful. However I got charge the valet service when none of the valets could drive my friends manual transmission vehicle. Outside of that, was a fun stay.
- 3/5
Despite requesting housekeeping and leaving the do not disturb off the door, did not receive any services for a 3 night stay. Staff was friendly enough. Not rude, but not helpful beyond bare minimum. Valet did not offer to help with bags, when I
- 4/5
It was a great overall experience. The staff were attentive. The restaurants were reasonably priced. The room was clean and the room service was very nice. I was in town for a conference and my only complaint is the handling fee for every package you have delivered. It seems a lot of companies are nickel and diming you nowadays.
- 5/5
The valet, the workout room
- 5/5
Conveniently located in downtown Portland. Take the Max train to the airport, the stop is 2 blocks from hotel. Staff are courteous and helpful!

- 5/5
It is clean and quiet
- 4/5
The staff at the property are great. They helped get a cab scheduled for me to go to the airport early in the morning. The area around the hotel is a little sketch. It is downtown Portland. The room was clean, but the tub didn't drain well. The cleaning staff made it look nice each day though. Overall, I had a good stay.
- 4/5
Food people including coffee bar were not very friendly.
- 3/5
Breakfast was very slow - we waited for almost an hour for our order.
- 5/5
Nice place and good staff also.
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff
- 1/5
It was not clean and up to the standard that I associate with Hilton. For a $100 I can find a much cleaner and spacious room at the Holiday Inn. Very disappointed with the money I spent. And then no free parking was also a let-down.
- 4/5
No early morning courtesy coffee.
- 4/5
Breakfast package included with room reservation is confusing. The dining place did not want to explain further. We were sent back to talk to the reception.
- 5/5
Very accessible to shops
- 5/5
Nice view
- 3/5
They have a garage under the hotel, but make you pay $60 per day to put your car there. Unacceptable.
- 4/5
Staff was extremely helpful.
- 3/5
Overall my stay was nice but i had a few complaints. The mattress on the pull out didn’t have a fitted sheet on it, so my friend had to sleep on the bare mattress. Also when i booked my room it stated that we would get free breakfast but they only did A La Carte and we had to pay. Lastly the valet staff did not listen to instructions for my vehicle. I explained to them NOT to roll my driver window all the way down or else it’ll come off the track and get stuck. They repeatedly kept rolling my window all the way down. When we went to check out and retrieve my car , my car was filled with flies because they left my window wide open all night in the valet parking area. They could’ve contacted me in my room, brought my car out and let me roll my window up for the night but instead they left it down all night . They didn’t apologize or acknowledge that my car was full of flies, they just handed me the keys and walked to the next person. Other than those things, i had a decent stay.
- 3/5
Transient was in loby until I complained while waiting 15 min in line, while he circled around the lobby and me. Bed wasn't a King, i measured it. Although the check in person was nice and confirmed it was, sorry it was not. The wall adjacent was against the elevator shaft which ran all night, so i couldnt sleep until 3am, the 2 nights we were there. The remote for the TV didn't work, the wifi hooked into the room above, the counter person again gave me a passcode so i could get wifi. The conditioner bottle was empty, Since there's no paper or pens in the room i had to leave a note to put some in the room. 14oz, how often do you refill them. Oh and my husband is 6'4" and was difficult to fit in the tiny bathroom and tiny toilet. It was my size, im 5'1"
- 1/5
The staff was amazing every single one of them, sweet kind, caring always there to help Shawn. The bellhop makes the whole hotel. Sweetest people I’ve ever met full of advice on restaurants, places to go things to do. In my opinion he needs a raise. The only downfall is Expedia put false pictures so when we got to the Hilton to stay in our room, it was nothing like I wanted. My daughter turned 13 years old and she’s never been to Portland Oregon. I wanted it to be an experience that she would never forget, and instead of looking over the city of the beautiful lights and the hustle and bustle we looked at big old buildings. Will I stay again no maybe the manager Ethan D was very kind and very understanding. The beds were amazing. The blankets and pillows were amazing and I don’t understand why there’s not microwaves in the rooms we had to go down 21 floors just to pop our popcorn
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Great place, staff is accommodating and helpful. The location is close to nearby shopping, dining and local pubs. Area is very walkable, felt self entire time.
- 5/5
Fantastic
- 4/5
Was fine. Booked a room with a city view and they originally put me in a lower floor room with no view. Asked for a view and they were very accommodating, moving me to the 21st floor with a spectacular view of the West hills.
- 3/5
Room was fine bathroom had paint coming off the ceiling. No extra TP in the bathroom.. had to ask for some to be brought up as I sat and waited.
- 3/5
Hotel was ok… front desk could’ve been nicer… showering was bad, very low water pressure and the tub drain was slightly clogged causing a pool of water in the tub while showering
- 5/5
Great!!
- 4/5
Always have liked this hotel. Great location. Like the lobby bar. Great crew. For me personally I don’t like dogs in facilities like this . There was a nuisance dog in the bar one night so I left. There should never be dogs in restaurants or bars. Due to this I will look for a different hotel next time
- 5/5
Clean and friendly

my room was dirty

My stay was awesome. The only thing was the water pressure in the shower was not good. Barely any water came out. Took forever to wash my hair.
- 5/5
Great location!
- 2/5
For the cost it was just average
- 5/5
We booked corner room and had great views from the 20th floor staff was extremely helpful and was able to do us great service!
- 5/5
Beds were terrible & the room did not cool down. We were sweating all night.
- 5/5
Dope
- 4/5
It was a great stay. We were upset there was limited access to food options late at night. Snacks available for purchase would’ve been nice, and there was no vending machine on our floor. Also, we had a few questions about self parking and while we were helped with our questions, having a handout about self parking or more detailed info on your website would’ve been really helpful in that process.
- 5/5
Amazing location to everything in downtown
- 3/5
The hotel is centrally located in downtown Portland and they have valet service parking so you don’t have to worry about your car. We arrived to our room and there was an odor eater present with open windows. The sink leaked. We purchased the breakfast package, but were leaving at 8am for the airport. When we got to breakfast at 7, no one was at the take out counter. A server came over, but said we’d be unable to get anything out of the fridge section or anything from the latte machine because no one would be there to ring us up. We ordered some fruit to go and a coffee, wasting most of our breakfast credit. It was a fine hotel, but not worth the $300 we paid for it.
- 4/5
I was happy with everything for the most part. The only things I didnt like was the pillows and the air condtioner did not work very well.
- 4/5
Food/dining was lackluster at best.
- 5/5
Although in the city, valet parking and location were perfect for transit and returning to the hotel.
- 3/5
Rooms and bathroom are small. Very low water pressure.
- 4/5
The location of the property was perfect. We were there for the parade. Staff was super friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
Overall the stay was good. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was nice and clean. We were a bit disappointed in the size of the room and the temperature of the room. The AC would not hit the low temperature that we wanted. I would stay again as a couple but not with my family due to the size of the room.
- 3/5
Staff was very friendly and attentive. Area around the hotel felt unsafe especially after dark.
- 5/5
It had a breakfast place to eat on site.
- 2/5
Our room was overheated and showed a lot of wear and tear. The shower only produced hot water we were not able to reduce the temperature. The security latch on the door did not close properly and two of the elevators shook severely when in motion. At breakfast, we were lucky and happened to show up at a quiet moment and were promptly served. Within moments though the restaurant was filled with guests with only one waiter and every table was filled. Guests were leaving after waiting for extended periods with no service. The front desk and bell service were likewise overwhelmed with guests and only one staff person available. I had a long wait to check out and then wait more with our luggage as the person with me hiked to our car and then circled the block repeatedly trying to get a space at the curb so we could load the car.
- 5/5
Thank you
- 5/5
We found the check in staff very friendly and personable. The room was fantastic but the bathroom was cramped and we had to hold down the handle for the toilet to fully flush.
- 5/5
This morning they were understaffed at the dining area. We ended up leaving after waiting for 45 minutes. Others did also. It was very busy, but still there was only one server for food and one for drinks. Needs improvement!
- 4/5
The Staff are friendly, the lobby is clean and pleasant scent.
- 5/5
I think $59 per day to park is absurd
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
Parking is only valet or $35 garage close by, but is a great location close to Pioneer center
- 5/5
I like it all
- 2/5
The door to the room has visible dents that it was pried open. Room 1014. Toilet was so close to sink and towel bar it was uncomfortable. Air conditioning in this room makes a terrible noise when the fan kicked on. It kept waking us up. Safe did not work but security did come and reset it. I know it’s the 2nd oldest Hilton but dirty elevator doors and doors that look like motel 6 are not how Hilton should look. Just my opinion I and experience. Thought I’d share.
- 4/5
The hotel is an older hotel that needs renovation, but is doing the best possible with the current situation
- 5/5
Walking distance to mall and food
- 4/5
It was a lovely venue, however, rather old and felt cramped for the price. Considering the cost of the room, I was shocked that we needed to pay extra for internet service. The staff was great and I was allowed to continue to work on the computer after checking out as I needed to stay for family that still had obligations.
- 5/5
Nice room.
- 5/5
Very nice!
- 1/5
The pool was not working and parking was too high
- 5/5
I would recommend to my friends and family. Will come back again.
- 5/5
Hotel was under construction during my stay, so there were closed off areas and some construction dust, etc. However the very friendly and helpful staff made up for it with outstanding service. They went above and beyond to take care of me.
- 4/5
The service was great, the rooms are a little small but clean and it’s hard and pricey to valet or park your car for several days.
- 5/5
Took my wife here for her birthday it was an amazing trip! She enjoyed the city. Enjoyed the views. Enjoyed the gym. It was beautiful
- 4/5
The stay itself was fine. But first the system double booked us and we had to get that straightened out. Then, your elevators are terrible for people with balance issues. Which is usually fine but your stairs are not easy to navigate. Then the transparency of all the charges was not clear. The room was great but I thought we would have a view from the description on the website. The bed and room was great. We drive up to Portman and stay a lot, but I would debate whether I would stay again.
- 5/5
We loved staying here. We had reservations at Fogo de chao which was very convenient since it was right across from the hotel.
- 4/5
Hotel was clean and recently updated based on decor. room was very small but fine for a one night stay. Don't love the no self-park option and valet only.
- 4/5
we had to be moved as their was a leak on the ceiling in the bathroom
- 5/5
The ease for freeway access
- 5/5
Front desk staff so very helpful!
- 5/5
Nice stay. Highly recommend. Will come back again.
- 4/5
Nice room. Bed was very uncomfortable but only stayed one night. Short walking distance to good food trucks and bars
- 5/5
Really enjoyed our stay. Good location near Max to airport. Easy walk to our fav Stumptown coffee and lots of other cool eateries! Close to Portland State, as well!
- 5/5
I had such an easy check in and I would recommend to anyone!
- 4/5
A good star stay
- 5/5
found us another room on a busy wedding party filled weekend. Thank you Victoria, your service was exceptional! .
- 5/5
Overall excellent
- 5/5
Lots of things to do around
- 5/5
Had a great experience would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
The staff is excellent
- 3/5
Our room AC UNIT would not cool on my heat. So it was a hot stay
- 5/5
You’ve some how managed to keep a beautiful hotel in such a dirty city. Amazing.
- 5/5
Southpark restaurant only two blocks away had great seafood
- 5/5
Awesome stay in Portland! Clean and comfortable rooms.
- 5/5
Love my stay
- 5/5
Great place! Will stay again
- 5/5
i loved the fact i could walk everywhere, that was great. Everyone was friendly. The fact that you couldn't get to the rooms without a room key(loved that) What i didnt like was the price we had to pay for the parking and the rooms were small.
