- Safety concerns and uncomfortable experiences related to the area

Surrounding area was full of homeless people, very scary parking at night. Breakfast was great, daily variety. Ashley at front desk was very helpful.
- 4/5
tell them to put a sign in the lobby with an arrow pointing to the elevator
- 2/5
alot of home less in the parking lot
- 5/5
The room. The clinlyness. The homeless people in the parking lot. Plus side the security. But leaving at 4:30 am was a little creepy
- 4/5
Great rooms and breakfast To many homeless druggies over by there.
- 4/5
Breakfast, Coffee quality and Room was fine. Breakfast could have more fruits available.
- 3.5/5
It was nice and quiet. Not much to do outside of the hotel. Unfortunately there were a lot of homeless people in the area, but they didn't seem to bother anyone. Was not able to walk much outside of the hotel.
- 3.5/5
Breakfast was fine - about what you would expect - a B- which is fine because that saves a lot of money and adds value. room was quiet - a bit small but all the amenities were there. Everything in great condition. Like they say, the homeless encampment next door is sketchy and some crazies are wandering around but they seemed harmless, just wasted and they did not linger near the hotel. this is part of what drives the price of the rooms down.
- 4/5
Nice room. Tub dripped all night. Breakfast could have more fresh choices
- 5/5
With no pet fee for my dog was able to get grate room that’s was great location for the same money as a much lesser hotel with a pet fee.
- 5/5
Great place to stay. It’s my go to when I’ve got contractors working in my house. Awesome staff!
- 3/5
They should not advertise there is a fitness center when 2 of the machines did not work and the other one was fair at best
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
Convenient location for my purpose, pleasant front desk staff, complete breakfast.
- 1.5/5
The breakfast had a good selection Location was horrible, homeless central, hallways smells like cigarettes and Marijuana and the front desk guy was extremely unfriendly

Room and property was clean. Property rated as good only due to the homeless population hanging around the area next to the gas station and parking areas. Doors to the property was excellent due to needing a key card for access. Quiet at night surprisingly.
- 0.5/5
Not much. Everything was terrible. Sketchy homeless people. Not comfortable. No pool.
- 4/5
Comfortable beds and decent-sized room. Glad they’re using large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion rather than little travel size bottles. Great breakfast with many choices of hot and cold items. Would appreciate it if they’d add real oatmeal (rather than packaged) to the menu. Cookies in lobby late afternoon/early evening. Just off I-5 so convenient to reach. Close to cute neighborhood of Kenton (with several restaurants and shops) and north Portland. Soccer complex (for youth practices & games) is behind motel so you can check out games on weekends if interested. Good security. It’s not the motel’s fault, but a lot of homeless folks hang out nearby. They don’t hassle you at all, but that’s why outside door can only be opened with room key.
- 4/5
We had a very comfortable stay at Country Inn & Suites by Radisson – Delta Park. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and spacious enough for a family. The complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus with a variety of options. Staff were welcoming and always ready to help. The hotel’s location is convenient for exploring Portland and nearby areas. Would definitely recommend for families and short trips!

Clean, good breakfast, nice people, convenient location for me.
- 4/5
It was close to the event where we were attending.
- 5/5
I’ve been having work done on my house for several years as I can afford to have it done. This Hotel is my go to when contractors have the house torn up. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and more importantly the Stsff at this location is just awesome. Friendly and always go out of their way to be accommodating when they can. Really can’t say enough nice things about them.
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
The hotel stay was fine. Room was clean and comfortable. The exterior of the rooms were old/worn however. Most notably, although a non issue, many vegabonds/transits all near the property and intimidating to stay there.
- 5/5
Breakfast was always good. the beds comfortable, staff very friendly.
- 3/5
A large group of unhoused people wander through the parking lot and live at the edge of the property.
- 5/5
Fantastic room. Easy check in
- 3/5
The hotel was nice inside, but there were a lot of homeless individuals outside, and they blocked the entrance to the parking lot where we had to maneuver around groups of them to get to the parking lot. There is a a vacant building right there that seems to be the hangout. It didn't feel very safe outside. But the entrance to the hotel is locked and you have to use your key card to get in, so that was good. Someone must've called the police one evening because they showed up outside. There was also WAY too much air-freshener in the hotel, to where I had a hard time breathing. It was so overpowering!!! I've never experienced that before in a hotel. You could smell it before even walking into the building. We had to sit outside multiple times to get fresh air and get away from it all. We will not be staying at this location again.
- 4/5
Breakfast was good. Parking area seemed ok but surrounding area is questionable.
- 4/5
Good breakfast and very nice staff
- 4/5
Room was clean enough. Had a slight mildew scene after shower. Staff were very friendly. Location is right near expo center, but i would not walk there as you would need to walk past a *lot* of people struggling with addiction to reach it.
- 3/5
Here’s the issues: The homeless gather in the parking lot till the manager drives them away to the Chevron next door. Homeless don’t bother you however they sleep on the grass near your car so it might be scary for some. The gym is not functioning. The treadmill has a broken screen but works. The step climber doesn’t work. Basic weights. AC barely functioning. I would have walked around the parking lot if it wasn’t for the homeless. Breakfast is good but 1 hour prior to shut down they don’t refill anything. So make sure that you go between 6-8 am. 9-10 is nothing. One staff member was wondering and friendly. I wish I got her name. The rest were like robots. I was sad such as nice hotel had so many negative quirks.

- 5/5
Very accommodating staff. Clean rooms comfortable bed. Always an enjoyable stay
- 4/5
Breakfast was good and there is lots of parking. The staff was great.
- 4/5
The breakfast and rooms were great
- 5/5
Good place to get a good night’s sleep in a comfortable bed without breaking the bank. Breakfast was good, with the best biscuits and gravy I’ve had in ages.
- 4/5
Bathroom felt a bit cramped. There were some loitering/homeless folks outside, and didn't feel very secure while checking in a bit late at night.
- 5/5
Breakfast was great one of the best, loved the cookies in the lobby. The staff was nice even when we checked out a little late due to the clock in the room being off. Bed was beyond comfy!!
- 3/5
The A/C unit was very loud.
- 4/5
Clean room, easy check-in, easier check-out, good price.
- 3/5
Beds a little soft, water pressure a little low but not bad, just average
- 3/5
Breakfast did not have enough options at all. And the outer area is so full of sketchy homeless that police were called out multiple times. Beds were very soft and hotel itself it’s decent but if you have families and safety concerns. Don’t stay here.
- 1/5
The doors to noted the building were locked all the time. Had to wait for an employee to let us in.
- 5/5
The room was extremely clean and the front desk staff were amazing, will definitely be staying here for all my trips back to Portland
- 4/5
Good
- 3/5
The rooms were what you paid for. Decent bed, decent location to the expo center which is why I was in town. There was a very very strong odor in both the hotel and the room itself. I think it was cleaning supplies, which is good but also difficult if someone is sensitive to smells like I am. The morning staff was very nice, but the staff who checked us in wasn’t as friendly. I was on the ground floor and you could hear the people above us banging around all night, so if you’re a light sleeper also keep that in mind. There is a houseless problem like people mentioned. Coming from Seattle; I assumed people were being dramatic but not as much as I assumed. There is a visible houses presence near the hotel, but we never encountered any trouble and even though they were near the hotel, they were never directly in the hotel parking lot. The hotel was secure and I never saw anyone near the entrance, even at 2 am when I got back. It was a what you’d expect at that price point hotel
- 4/5
The room seemed smaller then what we have had staying there before. seems pretty clean
- 2/5
Roaches, not a safe neighborhood, cold room, heater too loud
- 4/5
Courteous staff. Clean but very dated room.
- 5/5
As always. Clean rooms and exceptional staff
- 5/5
The lady in the kitchen does a great job. The food is fresh and place is clean
- 5/5
The place is really clean. The staff is super nice. The woman at the front desk is really cool. The sheets and the pillowcases are very clean. The hotel was spotless. The breakfast buffet was nice. No complaints. The woman at the breakfast buffet she’s really accommodatable anything you need she’ll get it for you
- 1/5
When we pulled into the parking lot of the hotel, we had to wait for a vagrant to finish pooping in the middle of the road. The hotel has to lock it's entrance, and the mini market next door has bars on the windows. We did not expect a Radisson to have the problems that this one has. I did not feel safe parking my car there or having my young teenage girls stay in that hotel. I asked to be let out of our stay, and the gentleman at the front desk told us that it happens all the time and just to ask our 3rd party reservation company for a refund. Well, I did, and the hotel refused to issue a refund. We had to find alternate accomodations, and really feel that the hotel owes it to people to explain that they have a large homeless population that lives right next to the property.
- 3/5
The “homeless” population around the hotel was a security concern for us. They also had trash everywhere. A back door did not have anyway to use the room key to get back in and that was a major inconvenience for us. There wasn’t a beverage vending machine anywhere to be found which was also a disappointment. For these reasons we will not stay at this location again and cannot recommend it to others.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect and right near my exit on the freeway to get home. The room is comfy and I got the sleep I needed to start my new day. Recommend.
- 1/5
The area is very unsafe to stay with family. I chose not to stay and moved on, the property canceled my reservation for the refund (as they mentioned) but Expedia is not letting the cancellation go through, and I’m still struggling to get refunded. Staying away from both - this property and Expedia for the future.
- 2/5
Let me start by saying, the staff was awesome. Hot breakfast was great! The room was clean. The only thing that turned us off and would be the reason why we never stay here again, is the amount of homeless people surrounding the hotel. It’s so much, that the outside of the hotel almost looks dirty. Now, I understand this has nothing to do with the hotel itself, but when you’re staying there and you have to honk for people to move out the way, who are blocking the only entry to the hotel, or you have to keep looking over your shoulder because there’s homeless men (mostly) walking through the parking lot, to get to the side where the chevron is, that’s where they like to hangout, makes you feel unsafe. There is a patrol car but I doubt there’s much he can do. We asked about it and were told by a male front desk staff, there’s no cameras in the parking lot, which made it hard to rest fully knowing someone could break into our car. Thankfully it didn’t happen, but these are things you shouldn’t have to be thinking about when staying in a hotel and are on vacation. We were three females kinda worried about stepping outside. Other than that, the inside of the hotel is clean, the staff is accommodating, even let us know cookies would be baked and offered, and what time breakfast would be served. Our girls name was Tiffany I believe, she’s awesome. So yeah, clean it up outside, and take the piss smell away and we’re good lol. Honestly, I wouldn’t stay here for that reason.
- 3/5
My concern was the amount of homeless people around the hotel. They walked by and around the entrance late at night. The room and the hotel was nice and so was the staff. I felt safe using the key card to enter the building.
- 3/5
The room was so congested and it is definitely not for four people. The bath tub had bugs in it and they kept on coming. The cleaning was not done even on the third day as communicated by the hotel over text message. The breakfast was ok but everything fell short when we arrived to have it. It is the same everyday we got for our stay of four days. The surrounding area is really sketchy and not safe to go for a walk past sunset.
- 3/5
No hdirdryer in room
- 5/5
Cleab
- 4/5
Building felt safe and secure even though it’s not in the greatest part of town. Kyle was a great help at the front desk to straighten things out after my booking got missed.
- 3/5
The room was ok but smelly and bathroom cramped. Need hooks on the wall to hang damp towels, maybe this would help with the smell/dampness.
- 4/5
Friendly Staff
- 5/5
It's not a go for a walk at night type neighbourhood. It's walk out the door onto the field close for tournaments. Works very well. A gated parking lot would be a huge win. But no issues at all. It's fully fenced. Breakfast was enough. We'll use it for tournaments 100%.
- 2/5
The staff at check in were completely rude and we seemed like a big inconvenience to them. One guy was rolling his eyes the whole time. And kept saying I don’t got time for this when someone would ask a question. And another staff member seemed more interested in watching his phone than helping guests. There was an older gentleman man on during both nights and he was fantastic.
- 1/5
Rude staff. Not willing to be helpful
- 5/5
I love this place. Almost always a great value (pricing) staff if very accommodating and room very clean
- 4/5
They take great care of this hotel. The only odd thing was you have to ask for housekeeping or they don't come and make your bed and get you towels. The breakfast is the bomb! The staff is absolutely the best. It's sad to say it's in an area that has homeless around it and it's sad because it really hurts their business. I wish they'd actually do something about the homeless because there was actually a shooting at the corner grocery store / gas station which stopped people from coming in or out of the hotel for several hours. If you really want to fix something stop picking up Mexicans from home Depot and send the troops in to clear up the homeless and get them into institutions if they need it or housing!!!
- 4/5

The breakfast was great. No need for A/C
- 5/5
Clean rooms friendly staff
- 4/5
The hotel is kept nicely and smells good even the rooms are clean. The beds are comfortable only thing missing was an extra trash can in the bathroom just had one in the bedroom area
- 4/5
Needs repairs in the exterior
- 3/5
Everything about the facility, staff, and comfort were fine. The only problem was that less than a block away there was a homeless community. The short amount of time we were there my family witnessed a drug deal and people doing drugs on the street.
- 5/5
Awesome!
- 4/5
The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The dining area was clean and well attended. I wish there were more options for the hot food. Only on our first day, Wednesday, there was biscuits and gravy. The other days were all the same: scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage or bacon. Otherwise you could choose to make a waffle, muffins, bagels, cereal, or yogurt. We liked the cookies that were available in the evening.
- 3/5
For a place to sleep passing through it was ok, room was clean and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was better than expected. No access to WiFi even after asking the front desk likely due to needing WiFi boosters for the property. Very limited cell service also.
- 3/5
We did not stay overnight because the cable was not working so I’m thankful that they refunded our money. The area around hotel did not feel safe because of homeless camp near parking lot although nothing happened and nobody did in anything as we drove by it still did not feel safe. The room was clean and comfortable and price was good.
- 4/5
Good
- 3/5
The hotel was fine. I did notice there were some homeless and or sketchy people hanging out by the gas station on the way into the property. Room was clean. Breakfast buffet was very good with waffles, eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausage, cereal, oatmeal, bagels, muffins and more. I styed here as it was closer to family I was visiting. I might consider other in the future, but it was not bad, just not used to seeing the homeless around a hotel.
- 3/5
The Hotel is ok . The breakfast is good. The only thing is in a bad area. Drug addicts around the property.
- 3/5
A very bland reception when I arrived a night not welcoming at all, despite all of the homeless activity in the parking lot and garbage everywhere in the parking spots, at least be friendly and hide the fact of all the mayhem going on outside. A very dismal experience.
- 5/5
Perfect economic stay
- 5/5
Clean room, quiet hotel, nice staff
- 3/5
The room was clean. Almost all of the staff was friendly and helpful. Only two employees out of about 10 were rude and unwilling to be helpful. Everything was great. Except once you stepped outside of the hotel, it was frightening!! Hotel is pet friendly. There is a large field to take your dogs. But the field and entire parking lot surrounding hotel. Which is fenced in. Is full of burnt tin foil, syringe, piles of human feces, multiple people smoking fentanyl under a guests room. I informed staff of the 3 people sittin in their bushes, backs leaning on hotel, under a guest window all with tin foil in hands burning it with a lighter, straws in mouth, large clouds of smelly smoke blew in my direction. It was so strong. I could smell the sweet gross smell that fetty has. My dog is 11 pounds and still a puppy. I was terrifieeaxh time I took him potty. Also on the edge of parking lot,to exit motel. A crowd of 10-30 people would be at any and all hours of the night. The gas station/store next door share this area. We walked to the store many times. I was nervous because of my dog possibly picking something up. Also the people were passed out like the dead in wheeel chairs block side walks. I witnessed multiple drug deals. To explain what the parking lot of hotel looked like, watch a walking dead episode and that explains what it looks identical too. But other then that. Inside of hotel is great. They have a great breakfast provided. With several hot items and cold food
- 5/5
A lot of homeless people hang out in the area, but the security seems to be pretty good and we do not have any problem with our vehicle in the parking lot. The rest of the facility was excellent. They were very outgoing and we felt extremely comfortable inside.
- 4/5
Nice clean ready and comfortable, nice off freeway and chevron steps away.
- 5/5
Just a nice spot. Period
- 5/5
This property was very clean, the rooms were a little outdated with carpet interior still but overall everything was very decently cleaned room service came by on our third day and folded our clothes for us that we had accidentally left on the bed. The customer service at the desk was amazing as well and they insured us. They had security watching the property at night due to the all of the Unhoused being outside. The breakfast was different every single day and it was actually phenomenal. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. It was a great price for what we got as well. We also had to leave a date early and without even requesting it, they charged us back for a full day without asking any questions which was super nice since I didn’t think I was gonna get my money back at all thank you all so much!
- 5/5
Really nice area and clean rooms! Great service and appreciate the breakfast and other amenities!
- 2/5
Large unhomed population camp at entrance of parking area which is not well lite. You have to be buzzed in if checking in late. Cash only vending machines onsite. Room and facilities were clean, did not try their breakfast.
- 4/5
The hallways and rooms smelled stale. Elevator a little creaky. The peanut butter was bad, i told the kitchen lady. She didnt seem to care. But overall good breakfast. Great shower head. Comfortable bed. Gave enough towel. Should always get 4 full size with 2 beds.
- 3/5
The hotel itself is okay… clean. Friendly staff. The area around the building is sketchy at best. Not the worst hotel I’ve stayed at, but it’s nothing to rave about either.
- 5/5
Room had a wet dog smell as well as hallway. Staff was nice. Lots of homeless outside grounds, property had a security guard
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel. Feels unsafe outside the hotel. Many homeless people. No judgement here but it feels unsafe even though you have security
- 3/5
The property itself was not too bad it’s located right behind a gas station that had heavy police presents when we pulled up. There was a huge homeless presents in the parking lot.
- 5/5
The place was clean, staff very friendly and professional, breakfast was very good. We will be back next time in Portland.
- 5/5
Shower was large and very well stocked with shampoo/conditioner. A/C worked well and kept the room cool. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
- 4/5
Hi 👋
- 5/5
Once we got past a little at the entrance to the parking lot, we were
- 4/5
Rooms are clean and smell good. Bedding clean. Room came with mini fridge, microwave, blow dryer, full size shampoo, conditioner, body soap and lotion. The parking lot- It’s Dark!! Although I personally felt safe, my companion mentioned they did not and were uncomfortable going outside alone. Lots of homeless clearly high on something at gas station, the entrance to Hotel and the main streets and near by side streets. BUT I would stay here again :)
- 4/5
Staff were amazing. Room and service were definitely 5 star. Security was good.
- 5/5
Very good
- 4/5
Staff was nice and lobby was clean. Room smelled of strong cigarette smoke even though property claims to be smoke-free
- 5/5
Ya know hotel great even though homeless zombies everywhere, I had a great time
- 5/5
Room was great and quiet. Outdoor area was beautiful! Complimentary limo service was wonderful
- 5/5
It was the perfect location for my work at a nearby golf course. The staff, property, and breakfast options were great.
- 3/5
The homeless population around there is a serious problem. It is not safe for my family to walk a block for fast food at night. The breakfast is ok, but the eggs are rubbery and the potatoes taste like they're yesterday's. Desk clerk gives off a vibe like he's serving a sentence
- 4/5
Really liked the accomadations but the area is not what I expected. Portland needs to start programs to house the homeless and at risk youth.
- 5/5
Excellent accommodations
- 5/5
Spacious room, clean facility
- 3/5
Many homeless people in the area. Didn’t know it was such a problem. Would have picked a hotel in different location near airport.
- 2/5
The homeless population and the huge piles of trash made us feel very unsafe. we were asked for spare change on the way in and swore at loudly on the way out.
- 4/5
Suggest more consistent or double security for the property to better deter the non-guests frequenting the property, or maybe a high electric-gate and surrounding fence. The security responded quickly to the persons looking inside cars but maybe double security or a gate will help. Suggest using same deodorizer in rooms as used in lobby.
- 1/5
We did not stay in this property after looking at this place and rooms.
- 3/5
There was a horrible sewage smell noticed immediately when you stepped in the lobby. The front desk staff said they were dealing with what was possibly broken pipes. The smell was in the lobby and hallways, but I did not get into the rooms. I felt sorry for the front desk who could not escape it. I didn't try the breakfast, being it was held where the sewage smell was.
- 4/5
Hotel itself is ok, very dated and needs new working gym equipment. The area is sketchy with so many unhoused people in very close proximity to the hotel! It gives the impression of being unsafe.
- 2/5
There was a terrible smell
- 3/5
many homeless around making us feel unsafe. building was as secure Ss it could be. staff had horrible attitude, did inform management
- 2/5
When we arrived at about 9:30PM, we should have known from the large gathering of homeless people at the driveway entrance that we picked the wrong location. We did pass a security patrol car, though. The clerk seemed bothered and annoyed to check us in. We booked a room with two queens, but they didn’t have any. The clerk told us his colleague (not we) upgraded us to a suit with a king and a pull-out. It wasn’t a huge perk, as the room was outdated, the floors creaked, and the toilet wobbled when you sat on it. We discovered the hard way that the toilet didn’t just wobble; the caulking was gone from around it and the seal was bad. A pool of water covering the entire bathroom floor formed around the toilet requiring every towel, hand towel, and washcloth to dry it up. We did notify housekeeping and the front desk. All we got was “I am so sorry. We will let maintenance know.” We had zero dry towels and given the tiny bubbles we saw escape from between the tiles, water was definitely seeping somewhere else. I should have paid the extra $30 to stay somewhere else. Lesson learned.
- 2/5
Multiple staff very rude when checking in, asking for a blanket and when cards would not work to get in room.
- 2/5
We found our stay to be in acceptable and will not stay again.
- 4/5
Hotel was clean
- 4/5
Good for two nights to see Portland. It's near the TriMet railnto downtown. Room was quiet and comfortable. The area around the hotel is very run down with a lot of homeless. Hotel was secure.
- 4/5
Overall was good
- 4/5
The floor in the elevator was quite dirty
- 3/5
There's a liquor outside of the hotel full of homeless and you can see the homeless walking around the parking, the hotel is good for what you pay, the breakfast is great
- 2/5
Drug addicts around the hotel parking lot at all hours. Pretty unsafe area. I don't recommend this hotel. Pictures in expidia don't match the actual hotel. Room Carpet was dirty and smelling.
- 4/5
Property inside was nice. Staff was nice. Outside was the scariest place ever!!!!!
- 5/5
Too many homeless people near the hotel and in the parkinglot.
- 4/5
Thanks
- 4/5
Nice hotel with great breakfast. There are many homeless people near the hotel. It is safe inside the hotel.
- 5/5
Affotdable
- 5/5
nice
- 3/5
Everything was good about the place, And they tried to be sure we felt secure, But there was a lot of Homeless people in the area and that was negative.
- 4/5
Security bldg in an industrial area. Attached market/deli. Very good water pressure in shower. Very good big TV. Large spacious jr suite. Lots of parking. Fast easy access to freeway. Huge soccer park behind building provides great walking area. Good free breakfast.
- 3/5
The hot breakfast was cold every morning. Cold scrambled eggs, cold potatoes etc. Other than that just average.
- 3/5
Hotel is fine. But the mobs of tweakers nearby is not the best.
- 1/5
Stay away! This place is surrounded by drug addicts! I had my 2 children with me after seeing how unsafe it was I checked out after one night! The manager was nice to refund the second night. Rooms are old and dirty looking.
- 5/5
Not the fault of the hotel but I wouldn’t walk near there at night. Lots of homeless people at the gas station next door
- 3/5
The property is located behind a gas station with a parking lot teaming with homeless individuals and full of debris left thereby. Among the buildings nearby are multiple vacant ones, all magnets for questionable activity. The rooms are clean, the staff is pleasant, access to Portland thoroughfares is good, but the overall environment is not at all pleasant.
- 5/5
This was a great stay! I searched a long time for good breakfasts and this exceeded my and my family’s’ expectations! Yes, the area outside the hotel has a large population of people experiencing homelessness. It’s Portland. I don’t know what to tell you other than everyone minded their own business outside and weren’t there in the morning. Our room was quiet and the beds were comfortable. The staff were all great. We would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Great service

It's a nice hotel. Older but maintained well enough for it to be charming. It's conveniently right off the freeway

While the area around the property had me wondering if booking there was a mistake. We had to be buzzed into the lobby but everything inside was quiet clean and reassuring. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was very good. Our room had everything we could have wanted and we didnt have any issues.

The lobby smells amazing, but then you step into the elevator and the hallway to your floor and then your room is not the same smell when you walk in to lobby. It is like 2 different hotels. The one to draw you in in the lobby and the one you get when you go upstairs. First floor is all closed for a "deep clean." Soooooo many drug addicts. outside in the parking lots leading to the entrance and also sneaking in even though you need a key to get into the lobby for free breakfast. Avoid if you have never seen drug addicts in your town and are easily spooked by this and have a sensitive nose. I don't see how guests have given this place the ratings it has.

First time in Portland. Nothing prepared me to see so many homeless people roaming the streets, including by the hotel. I was advised not to venture outside for any reason. I felt terrible the first day, but got more comfortable the following 2 days.

This hotel itself is good, but the surrounding is messy and lots of street people hangout around outside the property, it makes you feel unsafe.

The TV did not work the entire time

Very nice staff, clean and quiet. The breakfast was very good. I would have liked fresh fruit; but it was still quite good. Thank you.

The property itself is comfortable and well maintained. Room and bedding is very comfortable. Staff is friendly and efficient. Breakfast is better than the average fare. Really the only negative is the high number of homeless that surround the property. There seemed to be good security presence and we had no issues but my wife did not feel comfortable going to and from the car. It is fine for a one night stay. Just be aware of your surroundings.

Bed was too soft

The first room they gave us did not have running water in the toilet and the room smelled like food. The new room was better but still did not feel clean. The hallway smelled strongly of marijuana and food all of the time. I definitely would not stay there again. I was happy they keep the front door locked at all times because there were always around 10 homeless people gathering at the entry of the parking lot. To be fair, I will say the homeless people did not approach us or bother our vehicle.

It was a nice stay, really good breakfast. Only downsides, are really the homeless population surrounding the hotel makes it feel not safe. Also certain areas have a odd smell, not unbearable though.

Wonderful breakfast! Room was clean & comfortable. Delta Park is full of homeless folks, so don't leave your car unlocked.

Comfortable and clean room.

Nice room, good bed, breakfast was good. Dresser drawers wouldn’t stay closed, about 2 inches out.

Just ok

The hotel is not in the best area of Portland, the surrounding streets are dirty and people sleeping on the streets. The lobby was very clean, but the smell in my room was horrible.
- 2/5
The area around was dark , limited food options, off the highway where you are trapped in major traffic once you try to leave location
- 5/5
The area is a little sketch but the hotel itself is clean and safe. The breakfast is a nice touch and the beds are comfortable

Can’t be mad at the price. Was one of the cheapest we could find. The inside of our room had a few dings and scratches, still was able to sleep at night. The location could steer some away with being close to a gas station with a lot of wanderers. Breakfast was great and had many options each day. 4 out of 5 stars

Country Inn & Suites is a really nice hotel that is unfortunately in an area that has suffered economically. Closed and boarded up restaurants, homeless people hanging around the parking lots, broken glass and trash everywhere. Nowhere to grab a cup of coffee or a bite to eat. No foot traffic. None of the usual Portland-neighborhood charm that we've come to expect, and it's a shame because we really liked the hotel. Great staff, clean and comfortable rooms, good breakfast but awful location.

I genuinely wish I could give a better review, but I believe constructive feedback is the only way this property can improve. Unfortunately, my experience here was deeply frustrating due to several serious issues. First and foremost, the room service was completely inadequate. I requested housekeeping and fresh towels multiple times, yet my requests were ignored, leaving my stay uncomfortable and inconvenient. The condition of the room itself was concerning—windows were covered in soot and mildew, creating an unpleasant and unhygienic atmosphere. The air conditioning emitted a foul odor, making it difficult to relax indoors. Beyond the poor room conditions, security and management appeared to be lacking. There was a noticeable issue with non-guests entering the premises, including homeless individuals who were seen taking breakfast items meant for paying guests. Additionally, several guests openly smoked in their rooms, which contributed to an overall lack of cleanliness and comfort throughout the property. This hotel has potential, but only if management takes these concerns seriously and prioritizes guest satisfaction. I strongly urge the property managers to address staff responsiveness, room maintenance, and security measures to create a more comfortable and safe environment for visitors. Until these improvements are made, I cannot recommend staying here.

Stay was awesome have no issues with the hotel or staff we loved it!!! Only issue is the amount of homeless that linger around the front but that’s not the hotels fault they were on top of it with security!!

An encampment of homeless people was in the parking lot. Staff had to call security on a man that my eleven year old daughter and I saw free basing next to a side door. All hotel doors are locked, even the front, with a side door lock broken.

The beds were good quality and the bathroom was clean with clean towels. Body wash, shampoo, conditioner and moisturizer provided were good quality. Breakfast was included which was a plus. The carpets in hallways had stains and there was an odor on the premises that was not great. The neighborhood of the hotel seemed shady. However, this did not negativily impact our stay in terms of safety.

Smell inside of room was terrible. Told the front desk and they gave me air freshener. Ton of homeless around the building. Would never stay here again

Excessive number of homeless in this part of Portland

There were many homeless persons in the parking lot, laying on the ground in front of hotel, people in parking lot inside cars and in sleeping bags outside their cars. The property was dirty and felt unsafe. We didn’t even get out of our vehicles after an 8 hour drive. We drove in, observed, and kept driving. Never again, will we make reservations here.
