Reviews
The hotel is praised for its friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, and complimentary breakfast. However, some guests have expressed dissatisfaction with the noise levels, particularly from the freeway and homeless people in the area.

Great home base for hiking in Columbia River Gorge. Great breakfast. Hot tub not working, but we were able to use the outdoor one at the sister hotel on the other side of the parking lot. Would stay here again.

It was clean and the room was nice. Breakfast wasn’t to shabby either I hated the space and how to get into the property, way to tight and crammed

BREAKFAST WAS 1* AT BEST. MOST ITEMS REMAINED EMPTY BOTH MORNINGS. THE WORKER WAS SIMPLY NOT ABLE TO KEEP UP WITH MINIMAL PATRONS. THIS LOCATION OF THIS HOTEL IS NOT IDEAL. NARROW STREETS BETWEEN APPARTMENTS TO GET IN AND OUT. LOTS OF LOUD, NEIGHBORHOOD TEENS/TWENTIES RUNNING AROUND OUTSIDE AT NIGHT. WE WON'T STAY HERE AGAIN.
- 4/5
Location ~ great but a bit difficult to get to hotel with the freeway crossovers and hotel being crammed in by many new apartment complexes. Breakfast ~ 👍/ran out of coffee on Sunday and took awhile to refill, but it was a busy place with just one employee (poor guy!) Room ~ good but not enough toilet paper (one half roll, one quarter roll). Bed was comfy. Hated being on the ground floor (had asked when I booked for upper floor), but they were probably pretty booked up with Rose Festival/Graduations).
- 4/5
The room was clean and the beds were comfortable! The breakfast was decent the coffee was good. Check in was a little hard there was no one at the counter when we showed up, the lady that checked us in was very polite and apologized for the wait.

- 2/5
The room was very clean. The staff was friendly. Shower was phenomenal. Negatives, Bed was hard as a rock, wife threw out her back. Pool was very cloudy and dirty, Booked way in advance rooms were not together. Kept insisting that our bed was not a king bed that we had reserved but they kept saying it was, had a measuring tape (literally) under 70 inches in width. Room was missing a chair,
- 1.5/5
Not Much They couldn’t find our reservation and made US call bookings.com. After an hour booking.com straightened them out and we finally got to our room. We had requested a double queen but got a king. We requested an upper floor for quiet but got a ground level with a crying baby next door. There were several other issues. I always use bookings.com and stayed at several Fairfield’s but this time they let us down.

The staff was great, Jasmine especially went out of her way to help and answer our questions about the area. The breakfast was disappointing; everything was prepackaged/not fresh and the waffle machine was broken.

It's kind of out of the way and I didn't need to use the AC

Nice people. Comfortable rooms. Clean for sure.

- 5/5
We were staying to attend an event. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff was wonderful. We would consider staying again in the future.
- 3/5
Yes, the property was welcoming to pets and there is a freat pizza place called Dough Boys next to the hotel that is great.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Quiet place

- 5/5
Front staff was super friendly and welcoming
- 5/5
The room was clean and bead was comfortable. The staff was very hospitable. I would have appreciated more selection options in their market area.
- 2/5
It was kinda loud, we were on the 3rd floor on the roadside. The road was so loud, thin walls. Felt like a cleaner motel 6. Breakfast was good! Very clean, enjoyed the hot tub.
- 4/5
Rooms were very clean, breakfast was good, staff was nice, and good amenities in the room and hotel. I paid for parking on the Hotels.com app, but they tried charging me another $10 for parking. It was weird.
- 3/5
They also don’t clean the room each day. Apparently, it’s an every-other-day task for them. So if you’re expecting fresh towels or a made-bed, be prepared to make a special request. On-site parking was convenient, but came with an extra fee ($10 per day). The free breakfast and coffee was adequate. Better than expected, in fact, and reasonably tasty.
- 4/5
The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was very enjoyable.

No safe in the room, room temp difficult to control. We were part of a large group staying for a cheer competition and asked if we could have a 2 hour delayed checkout (we were happy to pay any associated fees). They said no because we were not a gold member.

Rooms toilets old and sit to low no hdmi ports bed was hard and uncomfortable pillows were to soft room had a strong sent smell need upgrade no movie channels

Yes The Food For Breakfast Was So Good And Nutritious And The Hot Tub Was Plenty Warm And The Beds Were So Soft And Comfortable And The Staff Was Very Helpful And Friendly I Would Recommend Staying There Again And Telling Others To Stay. Thank You So Very Much.

- 5/5
Clean room and staff very friendly and courteous.
- 1/5
There’s essentially no sound proofing whatsoever in the walls. My neighboring rooms are so noisy and I could hear everything said and more. Road noise is incredibly loud and I thought I forgot to shut the windows. Anyway, barely slept at all in the night. Would never stay here again.
- 5/5
Cleanliness & courtesy staff. Cont. breakfast was great!
- 5/5
The staff was super friendly. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and my kids loved swimming in the pool.
- 4/5
Clean and good size of room
- 5/5
The staff is very friendly and professional!
- 5/5
room clean
- 5/5
Staff was friendly. Hotel is secure, you can only get into the hotel with your room key. Kids enjoyed the hot tub and pool.
- 4/5
Room was clean.
- 5/5
Staff was great. Pool was smaller than expected but still nice to have something to do with the rainy weather.
- 4/5
All the staffs were great especially front desk. I reported a slow draining sink to front desk and they addressed the issue right away. Only thing i didnt like was the drive to the hotel. The road to the hotel is crowed with vehicles on both side of the street making it narrow...
- 3/5
Staff was very courteous. Our room smelled like it was pulling in cigarette smoke from another room.
- 4/5
It was clean, staff was very nice
- 3/5
The property was lovely but the staff seemed frustrated to answer questions.
- 5/5
Nice staff, clean room and WOW, that breakfast!?!!
- 4/5
Breakfast not as good as it used to be at other fairfield Inns. Staff was good
- 5/5
My husband liked the spacious room and the breakfast that had many options. We will stay here again.
- 4/5
Great hotel but super bad area
- 5/5
The property is right by a major freeway in which you could hear traffic at night. However, overall . . . the stay was great. The employees are all friendly and courteous.
- 5/5
The staff is friendly and the free breakfast is pretty good. Only issue might be location that it is near a fairly busy road within a dense apartment area. Oddly enough there are limited eateries within this complex. There are many resturants that are one exit north of complex but not walking distance. The closet MAX park and ride is fairly close but does not feel safe. There is a homeless encampment in the parking lot and feels very unsafe. Area near Portland downtown has a homeless issue and feels generally less safe. Usually I prefer using public transit when I go on vacation but was not able to from this location.
- 5/5
Perfect for a one night stay while going to Foodland. It’s a 10 minute walk. Facilities were clean. Breakfast was pretty good.
- 3/5
Breakfast was horrible!
- 3/5
Air conditioner was not working in my room and they argued about cleaning my room when they offer 2 days of cleaning and only did one. Also the breakfast always ran out and was taken away before the time breakfast was over.
- 4/5
Reasonably priced but very close to freeways.
- 4/5
Secluded feel, but quick access to I-5, Delta Park, Portland Int'l Raceway.
- 5/5
Breakfast was lacking and its right beside the highway so you will hear road noise. Not a bad place overall.
- 5/5
The staff were friendly and professional.
- 5/5
It was very well locked, and very clean! Staff was also very helpful and nice!
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
The light rail was within easy walking distance. The area around the hotel was mostly apartments, quiet but not particularly interesting.
- 5/5
The hotel is nice, well kept and clean. The complimentary breakfast was better than I expected, with hot options, waffle makers and other good items. The breakfast attendant was superb at keeping it stocked. The pool was smaller than it looked in the pictures and the fitness room left a little to be desired but we had a great stay.
- 2/5
The upgrade put us in a room where it's next to the highway and it's extremely loud. Wasn't able to get any sleep!
- 4/5
Price was a bit high for accommodation
- 1/5
We got a rental car and drive straight to your establishment. That morning we got a big door ding in our rental car. We asked for help in getting video surveillance and it turns it they don’t have video surveillance straight out front of the building. Yes, it’s not the hotels fault we got a door ding but surveillance in the parking lot is a MUST in this day and age.
- 5/5
It was very good
- 5/5
Check in was smooth and the person at the counter was nice. The room was nice, the beds were comfortable and the following morning, the breakfast area was clean and well stocked. We had a two night stay and everything was good.
- 4/5
Hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. In all my travels, I’ve never had a better free hotel breakfast than this property. Only negatives were that the pool was closed for maintenance and the location is tucked between numerous apartment complexes making it difficult to find upon arrival.
- 5/5
Clean friendly staff, good price
- 4/5
The bed was comfortable which is a priority for us when staying in a hotel. The main problem was the road noise.
- 5/5
This is a beautiful hotel, clean, spacious, and friendly. We have stayed here 2 years in a row and it has become our favorite. The staff is incredible, patient, gracious, helpful, accommodating. A shoutout to Jasmine who checked us in, the gal who handles the breakfast is a saint and the man who manages the pool became our hero when he offered to add a little extra warm water for our young grandchildren.
- 4/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Great hotel. Beautiful. Jasmine checked us in and was very informative and helpful. Nice variety for breakfast.
- 5/5
Nice place located near Portland easy access to many locations in the city.
- 5/5
So clean! So well taken care of! Bed and pillows comfortable! Coffee and breakfast was delicious and well prepared! Friendly housekeeping staff, desk staff and management! We did not take part, but swim pool and hot tub was clean, in a separate building and very clean!!
- 4/5
Friendly staff. Could use some updating. Clean.
- 5/5
Very enjoyable stay. We were at this facility when we arrived in Portland and again at the end of our stay
- 5/5
This is a beautiful hotel. It was easy to find. Nice rooms, good breakfast and great pool area. We enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Close to expo center, friendly staff
- 5/5
We were in town for a volleyball tournament and this hotel was just perfect! Great breakfast. Leo was friendly and helpful and kept the food and coffee stocked.
- 4/5
Had a great experience, staff were very kind, great parking, navigating the route to get there was a little tricky
- 4/5
There were 5 of us in the room and we only had 2 washcloths. It was late when we checked in and had to get up early and go again so, no, we didn’t bother to call for more.
- 5/5
Great staff everyone was helpful and friendly. Was surprised when I was charged for parking I didn’t know that in advance.
- 4/5
Would suggest not getting a room on the freeway side. A bit noisy. No close dinner spots other than Pizza.
- 5/5
Loved the stay perfect location
- 4/5
One thing they only out 3 towels in the room when we had 4 staying there so had to go downstairs to get another towel as they didn’t have housekeeping to bring up to us. Overall staff was helpful and breakfast was good in the morning.
- 5/5
Good stay! Would stay here again.
- 4/5
My stay was great. Super kind, very quiet. Only complaint was that the pool was freezing cold which really disappointed my 5 year old. When I told the front desk she nodded like this was something she hears a lot but no one offered to turn it up. Pool is always a really important part for us
- 3/5
This property needs renovation. The pool and hottub are very small. The front desk was very helpful. The breakfast was ok. Good location to the freeway. Beds quite hard. Was just ok.
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Beautiful property. Wonderful staff. Rooms are spacious. Great for families.
- 4/5
I’ve stayed here in the past and loved it. This time I was charged for parking but was not informed of that at check in. I didn’t know until I checked my credit card and noted that there was a $40 charge. Called the hotel and they informed me of such. They did feel bad and gave me Marriott points for the inconvenience. But still communication is key. Staff were very nice. Breakfast was just ok. I’ll still stay there in future trips.
- 5/5
Great place to stay everything went very well. Great back pressed hot tub, and the staff was overwhelmingly good

- 2/5
Staff not very friendly.
- 4/5
Excellent quality for the money. Amazing breakfast. Not your ordinary free breakfast.
- 5/5
I felt very welcomed when I was greeted when I walked in, and the gentleman was very kind to let me know breakfast times and times to be expected to leave the hotel. The hotel was very clean. It didn’t smell like smoke. The doggy area was clean as well. Nice walkway to walk around the hotel with my dogs. Definitely recommending this place and coming back. I was there for the Rose city dog show.
- 5/5
All about it was amazing! Best service ever!
- 5/5
Great location, easy to access freeway, close to airport and the University of Portland. The breakfast thatʻs included was great as well.
- 5/5
The property and staff were great!
- 5/5
Great customer service with privacy and quality rooms
- 5/5
The facility was very clean and the staff was kind and courteous.
- 2/5
The tap in the bathroom dripped all night, the remote for the TV was broken and there was someone else’s hair in the shower when I arrived. They also didn’t have cream cheese for the bagels which is weird but not a deal breaker.
- 4/5
Staff were super helpful and friendly, breakfast was great quality and good variety
- 1/5
The staff was extremely rude
- 5/5
Very nice hotel ! Modern and clean.
- 5/5
Best continental breakfast I've seen
- 5/5
Super comfortable bed, very clean hotel (almost felt new!) and a great price
- 4/5
Our only real issue was the pool/spa area. It seemed to be in need of maintenance. We wanted to use the pool, but there was some unidentifiable gelatinous substance floating in it. We tried skimming it out with the pool net, but we couldn't determine what it was. We decided to skip the pool and just used the spa. It was ok. I like that the toiletries are supplied in eco-conscious refillable units rather than thousands of tiny plastic bottles. Overall we had a great trip with friends and a comfortable 2 night stay.
- 5/5
I loved the staff here. They were super friendly and attentive especially to our rambunctious 7 year old!
- 5/5
Rooms were clean. Towels clean. Would’ve have preferred daily tidy up vs every other day. Minor wear/tear on wallpaper.
- 4/5
Safe,Quiet, not much shopping and dining options nearby also no variety of options on the breakfast menu is about the same everyday, stayed for four nights.
- 5/5
Very clean.
- 4/5
The mattress in our room is overly soft compared to the hotels we have stayed. Despite The noise insulation, there is a low frequency hum noise from the road traffic of the nearby I-5, which doesn’t bother me that much, but others might find it annoying.
- 5/5
Clean and safe place to stay. 15 min drive to UP
- 5/5
Overall great place to stay!!
- 5/5
My 7yo and I stayed here after a concert. The staff was friendly, the process was easy, the pool and hot tub were decent. The air works so well and the bed was so cozy. Breakfast options weren't terrible. Would stay here again.
- 3/5
Dislike: My room was extremely noisy because of the highway. Needed earplugs because of truck traffic all night long. Do not stay on the side of the hotel facing the highway.
- 5/5
Exceptional staff, great breakfast, loved the market available 24/7, Doughboys Pizzatopia is walking distance from the hotel and is absolutely delicious. Rooms are spacious and well maintained, the pool and hot tub were both great as well. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Older but a great place to sta! Staff was excellent!
- 5/5
Everything is ok
- 5/5
Good location. Staff was accommodating, easy parking for my U-Haul truck and car that I was towing. Had a restful night sleep after driving cross country would definitely recommend this property when you visit Portland.
- 3/5
Not worth the price.
- 5/5
Property was very clean and close to the freeway.
- 3/5
The common areas looked nice and clean and fairly newly removated. The room, however, was old and in need of a refresh.
- 4/5
Our stay at Fairfield Inn & Suites was nice. Staff was friendly and breakfast was great. Overall, I was disappointed with the value. I booked the room because a sofa was pictured in the photo, which we needed for an extra kiddo. My room had no sofa. The room window also faced a major highway which made sleep difficult. We were able to run white noise to drown it out, but not what I expected for the price paid.
- 5/5
The staff are very helpful and pleasant.
- 5/5
Front desk staff are wonderful. Great pool & hottub.
- 5/5
It’s worth the price. Great customer service
- 4/5
Room was clean with nice amenities. Indoor pool is ok .
- 5/5
Everything very nice
- 5/5
place was great. clean and very spacious
- 2/5
Blood stain on pillow was gross. Floor was dirty.
- 5/5
Easy in, easy out.
- 5/5
The one detractor is trying to get onto I-5 North. If you need to get somewhere north in a hurry, you must leave at least an hour early. Car lines are long and super slow due to the two merging loops.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and quiet.
- 5/5
It's inconvenient to sleep because the freeway is close by.
- 5/5
Parking lot full at night not easy to find spot, other that that everything was great
- 5/5
Great customer service
- 5/5
It was quite place
- 2/5
One toaster for breakfast that worked so bad there was a guest line waiting for the toast to brown. Really?!
- 5/5
Plenty of free parking and a good breakfast
- 5/5
Dea was very great to us during our stay. Very sweet and accommodating!
- 5/5
clean friendly and convenient
- 4/5
The employees at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Portland were very nice and cordial. We appreciated the hotel, the pool, the hot tub, and the breakfast.
- 4/5
A quick overnight stay, room was comfortable. Breakfest was great.
