Breakfast was good! Room is a little dated! and pull out bed needs attention! my 12 yr old had to sleep on it , not a good experience! the mattress was stained and very thin, she complained about feeling the bar and springs! This kid can sleep anywhere usually! other wise good over all!

Loved having 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms as well full kitchen in our suite. The gentleman who was just coming in his shift was the most pleasant person, so helpful and genuinely kind, he was “filling in” from another property but I wished I had gotten his name because he deserves recognition. And the lady this morning was very friendly too. One elevator not working, the other sounded like it was dying. Breakfast from 6-9 was a bummer, we slept great, so, with a noon checkout, 10 or 11 would be ideal.

Parking was convenient. Room was clean. We had a problem checking in. Breakfast was good.
- 3/5
Nice place to stay. Facilities are good enough and location good of expo area. Street and hotel are densely packed into hundreds of apts so very crowded. Breakfast is below average and all frozen microwaved eggs a such.

When I arrived to the hotel, they put me in a room that was already occupied. Then the staff at the front desk apologized and put me in another room that I found a bug in the bed in. They then moved me to another room. They did try to make it right by comping our entire stay. We did end up checking out of the hotel a day early.

The room was perfect for our family of 5. The staff was very friendly.

Breakfast was good with reasonable choices. Parking easy and always available, road to hotel is a bit insane with cars parked both sides, hopefully you don't meet a truck going other way lol.

Parking is convenient. Breakfast offerings were limited, but generally good quality. Staff at front desk was a new hire. She was pleasant and helpful. Bed was too soft. Sofa cushions were too spongy and kept slipping into its frame. We were awakened at 3am when we heard the arrival of a large, noisy truck with squealing brakes, right outside our 2nd story window. Stopper in bathroom sink was broken; bottom of dishwasher was full of water. Although the hotel is close to the river, it is surrounded by other hotels and apartment buildings, so all you see is a narrow street, some parking, and buildings. It wasn't dreadful... it was just meh

When I went to breakfast staff ran up on me like I didn’t belong. Not ok!!! Black guy with dreads. Also, they were painting the wing I was on and they started at 8am. No warning from staff.

The suite was clean and the staff were really friendly and helpful.

And the room was excellent. Very clean and had everything we needed. We were in Portland to work an event, and will be booking again next year.

Room in need of renovation, elevators both out of service during our stay
- 5/5
I would come here again for the spacious rooms

Very good
- 4/5
Everything was pretty good, the door to our room could have easily been broken into and there was no way to lock it from anyone to get in except the card lock but that wasn’t promising
- 4/5
Central location near airport, but not too near. Easy to get to most areas. Crazy street parking and driving. Streets too narrow.

Front desk guy was so helpful and friendly. What great manners and communication skills. He always had a big smile!! I appreciate that level of service!!

The breakfast had a large assortment of food. The staff was absolutely wonderful and very friendly. Our granddaughter got sick one night and they brought up new bedding immediately. The location wasn't the greatest not being close to anything to really walk to, but was only 20 minutes away from downtown.

I was traveling with my family of 5 and reserved the 2 bedroom suite. We had plenty of space and really enjoyed our stay. The staff was really friendly. They have an outdoor pool but it was closed and they let us know that we could use the indoor pool at a sister Hotel across the roadway. The property of Residence Inn is tucked away from a busy street and it felt safe and peaceful. We would recommend this hotel and plan to stay here again.
- 5/5
Great staff! Nithing short of excellence as is with all my Residence Inn stays.

We were on the second floor and elevator was down
- 3/5
I did not like how tight the area is. Many hotels crammed on top of each other. I had to go and get my extra bedding for the sofa couch for my 3rd guest. From other Marriot's I have stayed at the packs were always in the room. The body wash bottle in the shower was also empty. I don't require much when I stay at hotels. The small things are what matter.
- 5/5
Bed is comfy, I love that there was 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

The hotel and room was nice but the pool was a little dirty.

Staff was great. Abraham was amazing

I stayed here for 2 weeks while repairs were done in my home. As a mobility impaired person, I appreciated having a room near to my parked car. My room was adjacent to the outdoor common areas and so it was a little noisy, but relatively peaceful. The windows were a little dated and were tricky to open and close when I aired out the room of a slight musty odor. I felt that my service dog was welcomed. I didn’t use the pool or hot tub, but they looked clean. I would have liked having the trash emptied more often. The breakfast was simple, but scrambled eggs, a breakfast meat, and make-your-own waffles were always included. I felt safe; the neighborhood has lots of people traffic from other hotels and apartments. The staff were friendly and were helpful when I needed to extend my stay, although it felt a bit cumbersome to be redirected to Expedia.com rather than making arrangements directly with the hotel.
- 5/5
Everyone was great. Pool was not working
- 4/5
Conveniently located right off the I-5 freeway. 5 minute drive to Jantzen Beach (Target, Dick's Sporting Goods, Ulta, etc.) Even though the pool was closed due to cleaning, guests could use the other Marriott hotel across the street.
- 3/5
Big Rooms qas good, AC wasn't working Properly, Damp smell in room probably from carpet, Pool was green wasn't clean kids couldnt swim
- 2/5
Booked a 2BR, requesting one with a BR with 2 beds in it. Ended up with a 2BR with a single bed in each BR. The living area does NOT have a sofa bed, so we had to get creative for our party of 3. I only picked this place due to it having 2 BR and a 24 hr lobby. I dont recommend.
- 5/5
My husband was worried a little about crime in the area, because Portland has a homeless problem. I felt totally ok when we got there and staff told me the safest place to park. I think the man’s name was Abraham? He was so sweet and helpful and I felt so welcomed after a long drive. Room was spacious and clean and suited us well. Great place to stay!
- 5/5
The good place to visit the Oregon with one week. All is okay
- 3/5
The staff are nice and respectful
- 5/5
Staff were fabulous. Portland has its homeless issue but the staff made sure to keep it safe for the guests.
- 5/5
The property offered breakfas, had a basketball court and was close to the freeway
- 5/5
Would stay here again
- 4/5
Service was amazing and the room setup was great. We were not able to use the neighboring pool due to an incident but otherwise great stay and super close to expo center.
- 5/5
I don’t think this is the nicest most updated place you can stay on the area- but the night manager (Abraham) and breakfast host (Tawny) were the best!
- 5/5
Staff was super friendly and kind we have some credit card issues but got them sorted out at the last minute staff was patient and awesome
- 5/5
Had a great evening here! Excellent rooms.
- 4/5
Great Staff especially front desk.
- 3/5
The staff is what separates this Residence Inn from other hotels. Everything was up to what you would expect from a Marriott property. The friendly and helpful staff is second to none. Front desk night supervisor Abraham, was fantastic. Thank you "A"!
- 5/5
I give 5 stars , very nice and clean! Staff was very helpful.
- 4/5
The toilet would not stop running until you wiggled the handle a couple of times.

- 4/5
The staff was so amazing.
- 5/5
Very clean and friendly service
- 5/5
It’s a nice hotel conveniently located near I5 and marine drive .
- 5/5
Abraham at the front desk was awesome! Lovely little breakfast area and parking was easy. Check in was easy. I do like how the main doors are locked and needs keys to enter. With little ones you can never be too safe.
- 5/5
Cleanliness of my room and common areas and courtesy of the staff was an A. Would recommend to others
- 5/5
Lovely place! Would stay again! Great facilities!
- 5/5
Friendly and clean.
- 5/5
What a beautiful facility and the staff was fantastic! Plus they had biscuits and gravy for breakfast.
- 4/5
It’s ok the room is nice and the set up is comfortable but the doors don’t always work with the card and it’s a struggle to get them open from time to time. Service was decent and the staff was not overly critical and were understandable when I had difficulty booking another stay.
- 5/5
Always a great stay
- 4/5
Clean room and dog friendly.
- 5/5
This place never fails to satisfy me. Love staying here.
- 2/5
Desk clerk offered to clean it as housekeeping was gone, but didn't want to stay at that point.
- 5/5
It’s was good people are nice
- 5/5
Friendly staff very clean rooms love the amenities will return.
- 3/5
Location wasn't great due to having to enter via a road with homeless and broken down cars, one was burned and a guy was sawing it apart. Staff was nice. Elevator wasn't working. Shower drain was clogged. Most importantly, the room or sheets or both smelled like dirty others and underwear. Needs deep clean.
- 5/5
We had a great experience at his hotel. Room was plenty large and clean. Did wake up after midnight when the room was getting warmer because the thermostat reset to higher temperature. It was easy to readjust the temperature again. Furniture not outdated, large pool and a gym onsite and parking available around the building. Full breakfast available the next morning. It was a pleasant stay here.
- 5/5
This was part of our cross country trip on AmTrak. The facilities and room were great and we would definitely sty here if we ever come back to Portland.
- 4/5
…I did appreciate having a two bedroom which is hard to find. Also, they charged $10 for parking when there was plenty of spaces.
- 3/5
Good staff. Good breakfast. Workout area not great Portland area is run down
- 2/5
Front desk staff seemed generally uninterested in the property. There were a bunch of cheetos in the elevator when I checked in at 9pm, they were still there at 7 am the next morning. I let the front desk staff know, and they just said "oh well, housekeeping doesn't come until 9 am'. Property was also very noisy at night, lots of road noise.
- 4/5
Clean and comfortable. Slight smell to room, recommend a candle. Otherwise good stay
- 4/5
Overall a nice experience. Hotel staff was helpful and pleasant to deal with. Caretaker was A . Bed was very comfortable. Area around property was a little sketchy though, and there are lots of homeless people in the area. Not the hotels fault, just the reality of the situation. Hotel is starting to show some age, and could probably benefit from a few updates. Breakfast was good! Unfortunately there were no towels when we used the pool and hot tub. Caretaker let us know that they were going to be done soon, but it started to storm so we had to get out before they were done. Also, the pool was very cold…like shock to the system cold. All that being said, a good experience…but if you have to walk the dogs, I suggest you do it before dark.
- 1/5
Can’t review because they apparently overbook their property, so they had no two bedroom suite available. Got notified by Expedia that we were being transferred to their sister Courtyard location across the street and given two rooms for the same price. We were driving in areas with poor cell service, but at least Expedia was able to notify us of all the details over a course of time. I read another review that said the same thing happened to them so beware if you book anything other than a standard room, you might be out of luck!
- 2/5
Old and unkept. Dirty. Wouldn’t stay here again. Drug addicts / homeless roaming around outside. Low class people stay here.
- 1/5
Pet hair all over the beds Will never stay here again
- 5/5
Great

We booked Residence Inn for its proximity to Portland International Raceway & location to the track was perfect. Also handy was the MAX train to the city in less than 30 mins. Room was spacious & mostly comfortable. Bed was comfortable & kitchen & bathroom amenities well stocked for our stay. (Some small items require repair & carpet is a little stale.) Also close proximity to Interstate so request a room on opposite side of hotel if traffic noise bothers you! Would question the “No Smoking” policy as smokers gathered at all the outdoor seating areas making it impossible to relax outside without being affected by odour. And our room overlooked the same area so had to keep our windows closed to avoid passive inhalation of nicotine & vape. Our Front Desk man Abraham was the best & breakfast was perfect!
- 5/5
This property was very convenient for what we needed. Super clean and located in a safe area.
- 4/5
Better than expected
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay. The room was perfect for our needs and the staff was so kind
- 4/5
It was ok
- 5/5
The front desk staff, especially Kyler, went above and beyond with every interaction! Very impressed!!!
- 4/5
Did not like the front door off of the street.
- 1/5
I booked my room months in advance and then to be told at check in that the room I rented had been completely sold out. So what’s the point in booking a ways out if what you’re booking will not be available?
- 5/5
It was ok. Parking is the right price and out of downtown pdx
- 2/5
I booked at the Marriott Residence, got an email saying my reservation was switched to the Marriott Fairfield the morning of my check in day. I went to check in and was told I had no reservations. I ended up in the Courtyard Marriott. My reservation was for one room with 2 beds, ended up with 2 rooms.
- 5/5
We have had some really bad luck with rooms in this area and were so glad to find such a nice, clean and comfortable room for such a great rate!
- 4/5
Reception staff were extremely nice. Cleanliness of the entire hotel was 5 stars. Continental breakfast was good, however, if we were staying longer, I probably would have gotten tired of the same options everyday. You have to pay $10/night for parking, not sure why that is. Its not covered parking. Our room was spacious and had a kitchenette, and fireplace. For the most part it was clean, there was this odor of cat urine in the room. That was alittle unsettling. Overall, good experience. Would recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
The room was spacious, most useful and super clean. The entire hotel is fabulous. The folks who work there are kind and the breakfast is fresh and good. What a find.
- 4/5
Great location, easy access to freeways. Hotel could use some upgrades but it was great for the price, proximity and space we had for our extended family! Would recommend.
- 5/5
We were there in an ice storm. While it would have been better for property to be proactive and have ice remediation (doors frozen shut, treacherous conditions in parking lot, no safe walking path) in place, it seems the entire city had same mentality when it comes to winter storms. The rooms were clean and roomy and it was quiet and safe once inside.
- 5/5
Nice property within walking distance to the expo center
- 4/5
Overall pretty good. The area felt safe, central, and the room was good. We had lots of issues with our keys not working bit that was it.
- 4/5
I liked how easy it was to go onto the freeway and get to the places I wanted to go. Convenient parking.
- 4/5
There were hair clippings all over the bathroom counter and floor. Coffee maker had old coffee, not cleaned. Bed was comfortable though.
- 5/5
Great place to stay.
- 5/5
This was one of the best places we’ve stayed. The front counter was extremely helpful, polite, welcoming, and overall just wonderful. We were staying at the hotel next door, we ended up just booking at the Residence as soon as a room was open. It was perfect for our family
- 5/5
Nice hotel with a pool and free breakfast. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Was a good experience.
- 2/5
The bedroom smells so bad the mattress, uncomfortable price doesn’t worth it. The front area access is not easy overall, I did not like the area or the hotel the hotel is too dark. The staff were so welcoming and they were very helpful. Everyone that work there was so friendly and welcoming If it wasn’t for them, I would give a zero star for this hotel. The hotel needs upgrading.
- 3/5
There was always some noise outside. Never got room service when i call it in.
- 2/5
Service and damaged bath tub that I didn’t like it
- 5/5
Everything was great. The room was very clean and everyone was very nice.
- 3/5
Check in was courteous and fast. I wasn’t aware of the $10/day parking fee since I’ve previously stayed there in the past and it was free then. I didn’t realize it until I received a $50 charge at the end of my stay. Oh well, lesson learned. Strike 1. I checked into the room to find out the lock gets stuck and called the front desk. Front desk clerk said “oh yeah, that lock gets stuck but I will send maintenance over” If you knew the lock gets stuck, why would you issue the room? Then as I get my clorox wipes out to sanitize the room and put my own bedsheets on the bed (seen too many travel horror stories), the tables and nightstands had this sticky brown gunk on it. Strike 2. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was hot. The neighboring area was pretty sketchy with homeless nearby and groups of people hanging out in cars and the sidewalk on an already narrow street made me not want to venture out past 8pm. Strike 3. I chose this hotel for proximity for work and one of the better hotels in north Portland but sadly, the homeless has created an unsatisfactory environment in that area that I hope those residents and guests that stay nearby can feel safe in the future.
- 5/5
Very well appointed room and kind staff. Had a great meal for a hotel.
- 5/5
The staff working the front desk was professional, courteous and beyond accommodating. From the front desk staff on /07/30 nights and the front desk staff on 07/31 helped us with our reservation and accommodated an early check in. The gentleman working the front desk on 07/31 even upgraded our reservation due to something minor. We were extremely appreciative. Furthermore, everyone at this Marriott from the housekeeping to the kitchen staff were professional and thoughtful. Thank you.
- 4/5
very nice rooms and comfortable bed. Area outside the hotel very dirty and sketchy.
- 5/5
We arrived early. 95+ outside with a 16 month old baby. We were, Hot, tired and hungry. Desk clerk let us check in early, gave us a run down of where to eat. Our room was perfect. Close to access door where we parked, ground floor with close by access to the pool. Room was comfy, clean and cool. Great service, great room and nice breakfast the next morning. Happy grandma, mom and baby!
- 5/5
Super glad I got to bring my doggy Kyro. Nice staff, super since and clean room. Will definitely be back!!
- 3/5
The room was not cleaned and had to call the housekeeper to change the sheets
- 1/5
Horrible experience. I would not recommend. No hot water to take a shower. Bed sunk in and comforter was stained. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
- 4/5
Good service.
- 5/5
The staff was super friendly. We got there late but our room still wasn’t ready and they allowed us beverages and snacks from the little store they had while we waited the 15-20 mins. The elevators were sketchy but got us up n down safely. Haha
- 4/5
Clean, easy check in out
- 1/5
Upon arrival my room was suppose to be ready. Got to the room tv was off the wall beds not made , furniture moved around and microwave disassemble
- 5/5
Excellent rooms and nice staff
- 3/5
They had a party in the courtyard and our room was above it and staff didn’t shut it down until late even after complaints. Was worst hotel experience we’ve had in 15 years. Only good thing was they honored our request to not stay second night and they cut our room rate in half.
- 4/5
Did not have any hot water our last morning
