Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Portland Airport

Felt newer, price competitive, helpful responsive staff, lobby comfortable security was excellent. Slept so well. Bed so comfortable. Even though near airport noise was not an issue. Housekeeping service great. No laundry at this time Entrance on to property was difficult and unattractive. Computer to print in lobby not working. Staff tried to help, but slow WiFi. We were confused about using the Channel guide to select shows. We never figured it out. No instructions, but we didn't ask for help. Would have liked more variety of breakfast hot food.

I picked this hotel because of the location. We had been traveling throughout Oregon and were flying back the next morning. This hotel is literally right down the street from the airport. There's a good number of restaurants nearby. The rooms were well-equipped, nice and clean. Including breakfast is a great perk. The breakfast selection included hot and cold items and was exactly what we needed. Staff was very friendly.

it was close to our destination instructions about the airconditioner would have been helpful, since the place was nearly empty would have apprectiated a room not right on the main drag where there was a lot of traffic noise, bad directions in the hotel as to where elevators etc. things were, Having to use room card to even make the elevator run.. when even the staff had problems with it.

I would not use expedia with late night booking

We left before breakfast served. We've stayed many times over the years and always pleased with stay, location and ability to park for travel days. Unfortunately this stat was booked thru 3rd party and I felt treated like 2nd class citizen. Our room was near Airport Way. It was extremely loud. Unfortunately the recent remodel didn't account for needed sound proofing. Might as well have slept with windows open. Not allowed to leave car and take advantage of shuttle which is the primary reason for picking this facility.

I was placed in a room directly above a construction site. They started at 7am!!! No warning from staff. I went there for a good night’s sleep and didn’t get that due to my room location.

The breakfast was fine, enough selections and variety, coffee was good. The location was convenient. If they let me know the cleaning schedule - i don't mind they don' t make the bed, and they left enough towels, but they should come and empty the trash. I was there 3 days and had to ask if they clean. I was there since Thursday and no one came in, desk said they weren't coming in til Wednesday that would be 6 days ???? I have never stayed at a place they dont check for 6 days - they need to replace toilet paper and there was a makeup remover pad i used but they only leave 2 - that is in adequate if they dont come more often. m This needs to be addressed!

No rollaway when the reservation showed they were available for free, charge for parking, and the shower water flow was weak. We had a party of three and someone had to sleep on the floor with blankets!

Fairfield inn was close to airport and very convenient. Nothing fancy but clean and very good for the one night stay that we needed.

hotel was ok, its at an airport so most people are traveling, often by car and they charge for parking, really irritated me.

Clean room great staff

Stayed in room 203, kept waking up multiple times from road noise. You should be given a warning before they give you those keys that there will be loud road noise. Kept waking up multiple times. Was not a restful night. Make sure your room is not by the road when getting the key. If it is would highly recommend canceling and getting a new hotel. Hotel place and overall was clean and good.

There was a fee for Parking that wasn’t mentioned on during booking and not informed of during check-in.

This was a very nice stay, and we recommend this Fairfield highly. The only thing that was slightly askew was the cabinet that houses the small refrigerator. It is too short and the front feet of the fridge fall off the edge when you open the door. Maintenance could easily take care of this.

The hotel is short of stuff. The room service on available in the morning. You need to book a day before. Otherwise, the housekeeping stuff had already finished their shifts.

We loved our stay. Comfortable room with nice, modern shower. Beds and pillows were excellent. Staff was awesome, especially Josh who helped with our bags and parking. He offered us options to the $35 a day valet parking and other helpful suggestions.

My stay was very good. Alex was very courteous helpful ,and pleasant. He checked us in and told us that if we need anything please feel free to ask.

Flew in late after traveling cross country with a toddler and this place was great! We were exhausted and called for the shuttle which arrived within five minutes. Andrew was super nice and personable, very professional service! Melissa at the front desk was fantastic in getting us quickly checked into our super clean room. My car was here for the park and stay and was safe with no break ins. Great place. Would stay here again. Also affordable.

Too far to walk because of construction and not one USB port in the room.

This property is being renovated and they did not have proper signage to direct you inside. Of three doors, only one worked, yet the entrance sign pointed you in the opposite direction. Even though several other guests told them that the outside door key reader did not work, they didn't call maintenance until I strongly encouraged them too. I had an early flight the next day, and when I asked about breakfast, I was told the front desk person would be able to grab me a muffin and there was always coffee available. Yes, coffee was available but COLD. And no, morning front desk clerk wasn't interested in finding anything for breakfast. Appalling attention to detail, dismal customer service (except for one front desk clerk at check-in who did her best to help, even going outside in the rain to try and fix the signage), lack of service and follow-through. Do not stay here.

From the desk staff to the breakfast crew everything was great. Clean comfortable rooms with everything you need. The breakfast was outstanding with so many choices and the staff was constantly checking to make sure everything was stocked and the area was clean.

Standard hotel, parts are recently renovated, but still looks out of date

The hotel is just completing some exterior and interior remodeling. There's a temp entrance and access is not convenient but inside was clean and service was very good.

Bed was comfortable. Breakfast options were great. Definitely worth the price compared to other hotels that may appear less expensive.

Our room didn't have enough towels and the shower soap dispenser was empty. When we asked for towels and a refill, the front desk person couldn't help us because they were the only person on staff and couldn't locate the items we needed. The room itself was good, but there was a lot to be desired for the staff and facilities.

It was a nice place to stay ,the breakfast from 6 to 10am has many options, and they have cold water, tea, coffee available at the lobby all the time. You have restaurants close too, shuttle to the airport. Front desk employees are Nice. We recommend this hotel.

The location was convenient to the airport and the shuttle was right on time for a 5am departure. Checkin staff (Melissa) was friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable but the AC was pretty terrible. It cycled on/off all night with a disruptive sound and wildly fluctuating temperature. It was freezing and breezy while it was on and then sweaty while it was off so no one slept well. The property also needs more than one luggage cart.

Great hotel. Close to the airport. The staff were pleasant and efficient. They were remodeling the entrance, so we had to use the back door, but it was well-marked and caused no issues.

I was hesitant when I saw the reviews about the renovation happening. Although the side door entrance and hallway was in poor condition (hence the renovation), the lobby and dining area were really nice and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and lots of breakfast options. It was great for our one night stay.

I don't necessarily mind either, but wish I knew ahead of time, since my daughter and I looked forward to swimming.

It's right next to the road, so it's noisy, and the hotel is under construction, so it's cluttered.

I stayed with two small children following a later flight into PDX and prior to an early morning departure the next week. Despite their current renovations, the property was very clean. The breakfast had a great variety. Our room was cozy and spotless and check-in and check-out was simple. I felt very safe staying with my kids on this property. The shuttle left for the airport on time and could be scheduled for the following morning upon check-in.

The property was under construction, requiring a back entry as well as the noise and the mess. This was not pointed out on Expedia when I booked and it should have been.

The property is currently undergoing remodeling. Our room (214) was quite nice with a new carpet and comfy beds.

The ongoing construction is creating a problem with the whole hotel I understand it is to be expected. The fitness room is well above average.

Very disappointing stay

The property claims to be a 3 star but its is not at that standard. Room was ok but not great. The wash basin is out side of the bathroom which was very inconsistent. The property is located in an area where multiple hotels are there, but this hotel looks the worst. The hotel is way overpriced as per the the hotel standards.

Although there was remodeling underway during our stay, it was very quiet and clean. The complimentary breakfasts were delicious. The room had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. We stayed four nights and will stay again!

Hotel under extensive renovation. No elevator and must use rear entrance, the bed was good but I’ve had much better stays at other locations near PDX including home2 suites and Hampton inn.
