Reviews
The Shilo Inn PDX receives mixed reviews, with guests appreciating the cleanliness, spacious rooms, and friendly staff. However, the property's age and lack of maintenance are common complaints, with several amenities such as the pool, hot tub, and restaurant not functioning as advertised. The hotel's proximity to the airport and affordable price are noted as positives, but some guests express disappointment with the overall value and condition of the property.
- Clean and spacious rooms

Construction. Having a room against the stairs with not one but two doors that slammed constantly. The disgusting stairwell and the gross room. The manager walked with me and saw the problems.

5 stars is perfect and let’s be honest hard to come by. I would of given 4 except the manager after I’d stayed 3 days and left 3 deposits decides to tell me I couldn’t stay any longer because they don’t take my direct express card ( government issued) and mind you this was only for my concede
- 3/5
Bathroom was very clean. Sufficient bathroom supplies.

The price No one warned us that there was so much construction and that the rooms were run down and a dirty looking. Additionally the website had a different expectation of pets than reality.

Location is near PDX, great for arriving from a late night flight to stay some place close because I’m exhausted from traveling all day. It’s under construction, converting to a Hyatt. Front entrance not operable, insufficient signage where lobby is. Had to find someone to ask- parking lot security guard (prying his young eyes away from his phone and encouraging to speak loud and clear because I’m half deaf) gave instructions to find temporary lobby door. Lobby clerk pleasant. Drywall dust and debris everywhere. Haven’t vacuumed hallways in weeks, luggage wheels getting stuck in construction debris in hallways. Room ok. Smelled ok. Clean. Outdated but I’m not concerned about that. Bed comfortable and clean. Shower and bathroom clean.

Under construction! Hallways dirty. Restaurant next door excellent
- 5/5
Good location. fairly quiet for being near the airport.
- 3/5
Nice staff, clean room. Old and outdated though. Undergoing construction, so I’m sure that it will be better in the near future. But served his purpose since I didn’t have to wake up early to get to the airport and the room was clean.
- 2/5
Had to run the water over five minutes to get hot water 😞
- 1/5
I have stayed here before and was so impressed but wow did things change. The entire building is under construction and being torn apart. Construction noise all day long. Office relocated to an end conference room. Rooms were dirty and no service the entire three day stay. Room keys would only work one time so had to constantly get new ones. I have always recommended this place to friends going to Portland but wow will not be doing that and they definitely lost my business.
- 3/5
Loud, toilet could barely flush, shower stayed cold even after running for 10mins *** Full disclosure, they are undergoing major renovations. Great hospitality staff, everyone is great but would like to acknowledge the following people who exceed the standard. GM Geoff (hope that's right) pleasant, capable problem solver. No issue is too big, no task is to minute. Witnessed him perform both with the same pleasant demeanor. Leads by example not by title. Front Desk - Rebecca knows her job, does it very well and is friendly and efficient Front Desk- Patricia friendly, professional yet no nonsense and consistent Front Desk, House keeping, auditor,- Diana the Swiss army knife of Sojourn. Is there anything she can't do? Always working and is the same the 1st hour or 12th hour of her shift, undeniably delightful. Security- Sean. Not reactive but proactive in keeping guest and their propertysafe. Thank you all

Wasn’t aware of the remodeling. Inconvenient check in, dusty and dirty all throughout the hallways!! Room smelled. Horrible experience
- 2/5
Before booking, I should have considered the construction and remodeling happening at the hotel.
- 4/5
Clean room, lots of space, good price
- 3/5

- 5/5
Super courteous and accommodating staff. The building is going through some renovations but it didnt bother us.
- 2/5
Room was ok at best, luke warm water no hot water, tge tub barely drained, the hotel is under major construction and it stinks!
- 1/5
I would like to formally complaint about the wrong information provided by Expedia, first of all the hotel was under construction and this was not informed in your website, even though the personnel in charge was very kind and helpful the amount of dust, the noise made by the workers and the fact that none of the commodities were available make a very unpleasant stay.
- 5/5
一楼的房间不是很好、我还是喜欢三楼
- 4/5
The bed was uncomfortable. Everything else was fine.
- 5/5
We really liked the size of the rooms. They were not dirty they were well kept and modernized as much as possible for the age of the hotel. The staff was super friendly and pay attention to detail
- 1/5
The first room had an already flooded toilet and a bad smell throughout the room Requested a different room in the second room TV in the couch area did not work, alarm clock did not work, coffee pot brewed weird This is our second time staying at this motel. The first time was much more pleasant. Also did not return my $75 deposit.
- 5/5
Outstanding
- 1/5
The worst room I've ever had at a hotel.. filthy, everything broken, no phone in the room that worked, fridge was broken, bathroom had broken tile and the tub floor had a big patch over the floor, drain didn't drain in shower so you were standing in a foot of water as you showered. Stayed at this location before and everything was great this was the worst hotel stay I've ever had. The room was definitely not worth the cost. Feel like I should be reimbursed for this day it was that bad
- 4/5
Very friendly and professional staff, however the lobby was being remodeled and more signs should be used to help find the way to check in.
- 3/5
Dated. Old. Duct tape on carpets. Had to ask for towels. Toilet paper holder was dirty. Bed skirts rumpled and improperly placed. Car noise. Kind of creepy.
- 5/5
Great stay clean rooms
- 1/5

- 5/5
Property is under renovation with understandanle related mess. Wouldn't be too difficult, however, to pick up old sheets lining the hallway floors and maybe run a vacuum cleaner to get up some debris.
- 4/5
New transitioning from previous owners with renovations underway. Decent value with lower rates.

Great room
- 1/5
Staff was rude, hidden incidental charges, computer at front desk not working properly. I ended up not staying there because they were having computer problems.
- 1/5
The best and only good thing about the Sojourn Suites was Jose at the front desk, a true professional. Beyond that, I feel bad for the challenges he has to face at this property. The room was dirty including used coffee pods, comforters with huge burn holes, burnt out lights, a tv with no limited channels and bad picture, a sink that wouldn’t drain. Garbage piled up in the common area trash cans, complimentary coffee wasn’t labeled decaf or regular. The lack of security and safety protocols at this establishment considering the amount of vagrancy and homelessness was shocking. Doors that wouldn’t shut properly to the exterior, my window in my ground floor room was unlocked and had no screen. I’d like to discuss receiving some compensation from Expedia for this stay.
- 4/5
The associated restaurant “Jawfish” was nice, friendly staff soild Slice of key lime pie and good bourbon selection
- 5/5

THERES NO HOT WATER!!
- 1/5
Found gloves and clothes with blood (junkies? around) and dirty laundry in hallway. felt very unsafe
- 5/5
Nice hotel for the price.
- 1/5
The desk clerk was awesome, and I saw a security guard walking the property. If it wasn't for this I wouldn't have given them a star. The property is very dated; there is construction happening at restaurant onste maybe hotel is next. Cleaning staff is none existant, trash in corridors and room needed help. I have used bigger and softer towels in the bathroom of a gas station.

N/A ita an old building, very musty and stuffy and messed with my sinuses. The ice machine was broken
- 5/5
This is an older property and showing some signs of its age, but gives a very nice stay.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly
- 3/5
No fitted sheets and old mattress with stains.
- 3/5
The lobby was nothing great. Everywhere looked old and out of date. The bathrooms in lobby where so gross is was unreal. The halls always had garbage from rooms and dirty sheets sitting in hall. I was only there to sleep as I was there to move my parent out of Portland. But, I would never stay there again. I don’t need fancy but do want to feel good and safe and have it clean.
- 4/5
The property itself was great! Staff was wonderful and pleasant. The hotel could definitely use an upgrade but for the price and convenience and location it was suitable for my needs during my stay! Overall it was fine! A little noisy at night from others across the rooms but overall it was ok
- 5/5
Very good
- 2/5
The whole property has been neglected. I’m sure there are Motel 6’s that are cleaner. I don’t believe there’s a working vacuum on site. Floors were dirty throughout. Found things on the floor of room, moulding looked like it had been chewed off by a dog . No real amenities there. Two of four ice machines were out of order
- 5/5
All the amenities a person could ask for in a hotel. I was not able to go to the restaurant but, will be going back. Thank you.
- 2/5
Room not ready at 5pm (check in time is 4),Ice machine didn't work. Tape in the carpet sears in the hallway. Had a jr suite, TV didn't work in the sitting area. No light bulb in the bedside lamp. Checked in in Demand the AC was on...Room was freezing.Room was clean but in real need of an update. Have no idea how it was rated 8/10?
- 5/5

- 4/5
Reasonable price and quiet. Staffs are friendly.
- 5/5
Good property. Very spacious room with good ceiling lights. Needs some carpet cleaning to get rid of bad smell.
- 5/5
It was fine
- 3/5
Hotel is dated. Check in was a cold process. There is no restaurant on premises.
- 4/5
Outdated, needs modernization with things like usb ports. Neds new carpets, psint, etc.
- 2/5
I got charged for two rooms instead of one, I would appreciate a refund or credit. Thanks!
- 5/5
Room was clean, Staff was very nice. Parking was convenient. Price was amazing.
- 5/5
Very nice place at a great price.
- 3/5
On the upside, the room I had was amazingly large. You could tell there was a time that it looked great... but that was probably in the early 80's. A deep carpet cleaning/vacuuming/replacement would go far. Bed sheets didn't smell that clean & had a big cigarette burn on what I assumed was the comforter. Pillows smelled off. But, you can tell they're trying. It's just many things are in need of replacement and/or repair. Perhaps they're getting ready to do that?
- 5/5
Fantastic room service, and fron desk was very helpful with my adding days to my stay.
- 3/5
Very good for the price. Bathtub, bedding, towels all seemed clean, but not so much for other furniture and flooring. Still a good value. All staff I encountered were polite, efficient.
- 3/5
Everyone was so nice. But we had to ask for a remote and wash clothes.
- 5/5
Yes the ac and heater worked very well. The room was big with lots of space & amenities also very clean. The staff was nice and it was a safe environment.
- 1/5
The bathroom had water damage with the door pealing paint and wood. Mold in the shower.
- 5/5
Room was spotless staff extremely friendly very helpful
- 5/5
Large room for the price.
- 5/5
Awesome great customer service
- 5/5
Nice place to stay at
- 4/5
ac was good. staff was helpful although check in did take a bit of time (20 minutes+) due to their system not working. overall, stay was fine
- 5/5
Overall a pleasant stay
- 3/5
The next morning, I spoke with Patricia at the front desk and told her everything that was wrong. She was super nice, apologized right away, and even offered a refund (but since we booked through Expedia, it had to go through them). She moved us to a different room, and it made such a big difference — it was clean, smelled fresh, and the shower worked perfectly. Thanks to Patricia’s help, our stay turned around and ended up being a lot better. I really appreciate how she handled everything.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Pleasantly surprised and this gem of a find for a quick overnight stay between flights. Very spacious clean quiet room. Security guard outside front door of hotel all night…so cars and premise were safe.Less than 5 min drive to airport.
- 5/5
Rooms are plenty spacious for the price and quite.
- 2/5
Hallways were dirty, elevator not working, room was big but they didn’t clean it thoroughly and our room key stopped working twice.
- 3/5
Leave . Young Hispanic with long hair
- 1/5
One of the most disgusting rooms I've been in. No fitted sheet. The staff was very nice though.
- 4/5
Could easily hear neighbors up above, especially when they took a shower, it sounded like a freight train. Room is much larger than we expected, bed comfortable, no creamer only empty used package.
- 5/5
Huge rooms
- 3/5
The shower pressure needs some work. The shower curtain was filthy as well as the tub.
- 1/5
The bed in the room had 3 red stains and a urine stain on the bed sheet
- 1/5
Ok
- 5/5
Great rates
- 5/5
I room was very clean, quiet and comfortable.
- 5/5
The room was large and comfortable
- 5/5
Great spacious room.
- 4/5
All was good.
- 5/5
For the price, the stay was great. The rooms are comfortable. Close to the airport
- 4/5
Easy check-in. Did the job for a few hours sleep before my flight back home. Big room.
- 4/5
There were some issues with the shower that need to be addressed — the faucet leaked and the diverter was broken, so I could only use the shower head. Not a huge problem, and the bathroom was large, clean, and well-stocked. I used the guest laundry and it was decent, with credit card readers on the machines and an option to pay with your phone. Someone called my room in the middle of the night and asked for housekeeping. I have no idea how that would happen, and I’m willing to blame the caller for the disturbance. This place was kind of like two different hotels on the same property — one really nice one inside the room, and a much less nice one outside. One of the elevators was broken, the one I used had some broken parts on it, the hallways were dirty, housekeeping was working well into the evening. But I was more than happy to deal with all that for the low price, and the place was quiet. My note to all hotels from this day forward is to get streaming services on your TVs. Flipping through cable channels is insane in 2025.
- 3/5
Staff = nice But there is nothing much that they can do to the property's condition since everything is supposedly to be renovated in the near futures (it is in their plan). Currently, the restaurant is being renovated now). A/C = old and loud Parking = spacious and easy to find available spaces.
- 4/5
The rooms were clean and larger than expected which would be ideal for families, although they are a little dated. :)
- 3/5
It was okay for an overnight stay. The carpet looked like it hadn't been washed for awhile. There was peeling paint and it looked like water damage in the bathroom. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The heating was good. It seemed like it had previously been an assisted living facility, with support bars and a shower seat installed.
- 2/5
We booked this hotel because it advertised a shuttle to the airport. Learned after we got there that they don’t. The cost of the Lyft to the airport should be refunded.
- 5/5
Perfect
- 3/5
It was OK
- 4/5
The staff is amazing though
- 3/5
The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. However, the elevator was broken and the building was under Construction so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs to the third floor. The walls were thin and the plumbing was extremely loud all through the night so it was hard to sleep. The hotel is affordable. However you get what you pay for.
- 3/5
The bed was decent. No amenities. The place was a little rough around the edges. It appears rhe facility is under a new name and they may in the stages of renovation. They need to vacuum hallways and stairwells
- 4/5
The room was great, comfortable bed. The elevator was out the entire time, luckily I was on the 2nd floor. Very convenient location, I would stay again.
- 5/5

- 5/5
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
- 5/5
The staff member working overnight was very helpful checking me in and excellent customer service. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.
- 5/5
It was a great room. Great staff. Location was great.
- 1/5
We booked a room to stay due to an early am flight the next morning. At 11:00pm, we were awakened by hotel staff banging loudly and repeatedly and yelling wake up. I went to the door and the gentleman said they were "auditing" who was in the rooms. He continued down the hall doing the same. I don’t know what was happening but it was inappropriate and made us feel uneasy and unsafe.
- 3/5
Great service, dirty room
- 4/5
No airport shuttle service
- 3/5
nice staff, spacious rooms for families with children. Hotel does need some updates in rooms and out.
- 5/5
For the price, you can’t beat this hotel. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean. Jose, who checked us in, even found some chamomile tea for me as he overheard me tell my husband that I needed a cup of decaf tea. He was very thoughtful. I will definitely stay again!
- 4/5
The hotel is quiet with big rooms and lots of free parking. It's currently in the process of a full remodel and when done, so I was told, is going to be rebranded. The room I had was clean and comfortable but not yet remodeled.
- 3/5
Room is so dirty no cleaning service and lady at the front dest not friendly at all.
- 5/5
This property was very clean and luxurious. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfy, and the staff was very kind.
- 5/5
So roomy, comfortable, better than the more expensive hotels
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
good price, low amount of plane noise considering how close it is to the airport.
- 2/5
Very out dated. Stained furniture. Noisy people talking and partying all night. No security was seen.
- 5/5
Stayed for the weekend and absolutely enjoyed it! The room was nice and spacious for a really good deal! Plus it’s really close to a lot of stores and food places and right down the road from the airport. Definitely will be staying there again
- 5/5
Handy for PHX
- 5/5
Excellent facility for the price.
- 3/5
seemed safe enough and quiet, comfy bed but overall the place was a bit rundown and needed a deep clean.
- 5/5
Staff remembers you each time you stay
- 4/5
clean rooms, staff very friendly, A/C was running very well, noise to a minimum, parking was convenient.
- 5/5
Very nice place. I am impressed.
- 4/5
Friendly staff. Thanks!
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
The staff was friendly. Check in was quick and easy. The property is older and could use some upgrades. The hallways had trash and dust. The shower had duct tape.
- 4/5
Rather dated and worn
- 5/5
The room was large with three sinks and two working TV's. It was comfortable even thought there were needed repairs.
- 3/5
This hotel is average and affordable so I can’t really complain you get what you pay for! When I sat on the I felt like the bedding might not had been washed but it could have been the detergent from washing and drying? The refrigerator I believe was not working and there was crumbs and stuff in the corners on the carpet. Overall is average again. I’m not complaining the water works. My roommate said the toilet didn’t work didn’t flush very well but we got to work. It is an old building. What do you expect. I would come back. It’s a place to lay your head down.
- 5/5
Very nice staff just hate having to leave a deposit hahah I’m a good guest
- 4/5
room was clean but needed updating
- 3/5
The room was spacious and bedding was clean. Carpets need cleaned, replaced. No outdoor lighting in dog run area. Staff was friendly. One of the key cards would not open the room. Faculty was not secure…exterior hallway doors were not latched so did not require a keycard to enter. Close to the airport and reasonably priced. Just could tell it was an “older” hotel.
- 5/5
Very roomy, bed was comfortable and hotel was very quiet. Perfect for my weekend stay in Portland. I will return!
- 4/5
We were given an accessible room. When my wife took a shower, the floor got wet and was a bit slippery. Could use some tiles with a little traction in the bath.
- 3/5
Dated. Clean. Close to airport.
- 5/5
Really enjoyed the big space of 2 rooms.
- 3/5
Hope they get it repaired completely!
- 1/5
as soon as we pulled up, there were unhoused person digging through the garbage can, and a couple of people in the doorway hanging out smoking the cigars as if it was an apartment building, the stench of cigarettes was so bad very scary that we didn’t want to leave the rental car parked overnight
- 1/5
took me 20 minutes to check in. Never staying here again. !!
- 2/5
The staff at this hotel was great but there were bed bugs in both rooms they provided. They were easy in changing my room and floor but next room also had bed bugs. It’s cheap so you get what you pay.
- 3/5
Nice
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Safe and quiet, friendly staff
- 2/5
I have stayed here on many occasions and never have any issues. The staff here are always nice and very kind. On this trip my only issue was my room had flies and which made the stay slight
- 4/5
Hard to find.
- 5/5
Enjoyed the lobby and was a nice lounge room setting.
- 5/5
Like the room nice and spacious and friendly staff, will definitely book again.
- 5/5
Beautiful room, professional staff.
- 5/5
Staff is so friendly
- 5/5
Great staff, huge rooms, very quiet.
- 5/5
Property is in the middle of some renovation, so there is a mix of new and old things, but the staff is very friendly, and the quality is good. Would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Clean room. Prompt service.
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 2/5
Bedding was stained with pen ink and beds were made backwards!(sheet on top comforter on bottom) the room was rundown and we did not feel clean at all. Recommend bringing own sheets.
- 5/5
Only drawback was rush hour traffic - hard to get in and out of the parking lot on Friday afternoon.
- 5/5
It would be nice if they had breakfast
- 1/5
The smell was atrocious, damaged rooms, doors, and the filth was disgusting. There was trash on floors in hallway and in the room. If we had arrived earlier than midnight, I would have left immediately but needed to sleep for a couple hours before flight. Everything was shut down, including restaurant, soda machines and again the filth was unbearable. Service was rude and abrupt and not friendly.
- 5/5
Rooms are dated but nothing wrong with them. Bed is comfy and shower works fine
- 3/5
Vaccume the hallways more please.
- 3/5
A very spacious room, we got to our room late in the evening and found that the toilet would not flush. The clerk at the desk said there was no maintenance personnel available at that hour, so she gave us a toilet plunger. The problem was not fixable with the plunger.
- 3/5
The room is quite spacious and has a nice floor plan. While the layout is great, the room itself is very run down. From the carpet, wall, bathroom, faucet etc are in need of an update. Blanket has a stain on it.
- 3/5
wake up call never happened so late to airport which was annoying Otherwise nice place to stay
- 5/5
Pleasantly surprised
- 3/5
This property is under renovation but fully open. Parking is easy and close to main entrance. My suite faced a greenbelt between two hotels so was very quiet. Hotel is accessed (as are many others in this area) off NE Airport Way so car access is a traffic horror especially at rush hour. First room smelled like smoke to me although hotel is officially non-smoking. I learned that the first assigned floor (2nd floor) accepts pets, so that might be what the smell was. Second assigned room was on 3rd floor and had no smell. Suite room was very large with 2 TVs although only one worked. Hotel had great wi-fi and staff at check-in and checkout were very friendly and helpful. Nearest restaurants are about a 10 minute walk.
- 5/5
Safe and plenty of parking.
- 5/5
Even though it's old and a bit rundown, this hotel is safe and affordable. I stay here often. Just make sure you get a remodeled room. Some rooms I've stayed in were very rundown, smelled very strange, and had broken toilets and shower curtains. If you are looking for a bargain, this place is the spot!
- 4/5
Over all good stay just needs carpet update
- 4/5
Really nice, big room. Property itself is going through renovations, so it’s not pretty outside. Also, the Traffic in this area is abysmal, which is not of the fault of the hotel. For 80$ a night, this is totally worth it. I would stay here again
- 2/5
Room smelled of stale Cigar and the carpet felt crummy. It is a very large room though and the bed was very well worn but the sheets and pillows were clean. No breakfast paid or complementary ( restaurant being renovated) although they do offer coffee at all times. No airport shuttle told to take an uber Lyft about $20 for 3 miles . Nothing really in the area other businesses closed for remodel. $75 deposit and a parking pass for your car .
- 2/5
We had to change rooms at 1st because the room was dirty. Hair on sheets & dirt on sheets :(
- 5/5
Staff r great
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and made it easy to get to our room right a way.
- 5/5
Really like the front desk people
- 4/5
AC filter was completely blocking air flow.

This is the fourth time I’ve stayed at this hotel within the past couple of months while visiting my son in Portland. This time was probably the most disappointing. The check-in process is way too slow and at check in time there are generally is only one person the overall condition of the room looks clean When you first walk in, but on further inspection, the shower was dirty. The shower curtain had holes in it and the carpet on the third floor is terrible and smells very old. Although I love this hotel, and the proximity it has to everything, I believe that next time I would make a different choice.

Only complaint was the noise at midnight f

Booked 7 rooms for a high school sports event. We were charged more than the amount we booked the rooms for on 4 of the 7 rooms and they said they could not change the prices.
- 4/5
The hotel is as bit dated but the rooms are big and quiet. No issues at all during our visit. The price was excellent for the value received.

The staff were very friendly. We needed an iron and the gal at the front desk got us one rather quickly. The size of the room is nice. Since it’s a suite we had a living room area with a couch, table, refrigerator and tv. There was also a tv by the beds. Surprisingly, the beds weren’t too bad and the sheets looked clean. There is a nice vanity with sink outside the bathroom. The bathroom tile floor is very slippery. Not sure I’d stay here again but the price was right for this trip. There are a lot of places to eat fairly close to the hotel. Hair dryer in the room. The room is definitely not dark but that doesn’t bother me. I like that the air conditioner is on the living room side so it didn’t blow directly on me and it wasn’t loud. The towels aren’t soft but they absorb just fine.

Tv remote didn't work. Mold in shower. Something sticky on the floor

The rooms were clean and spacious, the property is in disrepair.
- 5/5
Yes, I would stay there again when visiting Portland.
- 5/5
The people working there. So very NICE.
- 3/5
There was a big room adjacent to the beds separated by a glass wall which was unexpected. The TV wouldn't work with the remote and when it was turned on by hand there was no way to change the station. The airport is close by (less than 10 minute drive) but that made the room somewhat noisy. The price was $92. We didn't want to go out to eat but if we did, I don't think there was much available close by.

Well everything was good the ladies were very very nice
- 4/5
There was confusion because the website mentioned breakfast, yet there wasn’t any. The room was clean and the staff members were friendly.
- 4/5
Liked the location of this hotel. It would be nice to have water available in the vending machine as none was provided in the room. Price was great!
- 4/5
Staff very professional. One of the lamps was broken. Room was spacious and very reasonable priced.
- 2/5
Run down and dirty...go elsewhere
- 4/5
Not the most modern place but the rooms are large and comfortable. Easy parking and close to the airport. Would book again.
- 4/5
Check in was simple and quick. There was some construction occurring on the floor I stayed on, so there was some messiness in the hallways, but the room was clean, stocked, comfortable. Great rates for the stay!
- 2/5
I didn’t get any sleep! Loud bangs at night sounded like someone was trying to get into my room and it was awful when you were just trying to get sleep before a early flight
- 5/5
It was very clean and quiet I enjoyed my stay
- 4/5
Cleanliness wasn’t the best but reflective of the good price. Comfy bed and convenient location from airport. Would stay here again.
- 3/5
This building is “fine” but is old and needs a ton of updating. Half the light switches in the room didn’t work, none of the ice machines on any floor worked (some weren’t even hooked up), and the room had a grimy feel. Worst part was our sheets hadn’t been changed. Not a place we’ll go back to!
- 5/5
It’s really a suite!
- 3/5
Price was too good to be true but you get what you pay for I guess! The older woman at the front desk in the morning was rude. We had no fitted bottom sheets on our beds, the refrigerator did not work and I asked for towel refresh and it was refused!
- 5/5
The hotel is currently being renovated in places, area makes it difficult to get into parking lot from the road as traffic backs up horrible in that area. The room was huge and comfortable, very quiet for being right by the airport, the insulation is excellent. It is pet friendly as well, very close to some shopping and restaurants as well.

The check in staff was wonderful, very friendly. When I booked it showed a pool, that when I got there was closed, very limited gym… no in hotel restaurant and my room wasn’t clean. There was gunk on the walls, bed sheets were dirty
- 4/5
Ot was a good price for what you got. The hallway on the second floor smelled really bad. But the room was big and clean enough. It seemed run down which probably gives the illusion of less clean but i dodnt feel gross sleeping in the bed which is the primary reason i was there (to sleep between flights). The staff were all very nice and accommodating. I did not like that it was $20 per hour for late check out.

Once it was brought to the housekeeping manager of the room/l. She the was claiming damage to the room cuz my dog was spinning half the roll off. Charged my card besides $75 deposit at check in. $105,$100,and $75 again.

Super Clean BIG ROOM! Other than being Dated this room was Amazing! I’d stay there again and again and again! Super Room!
- 3/5
Our suite was spacious and well laid out. It had several nice features. The bed was very comfortable. Although The lamps had been updated to ones that included electrical outlets and USB ports it still needed some updating to restore it to its original grandour. The carpeting and couch were stained and the grouting around the tub needed cleaning. The hallway needed vacuumed. It needed some TLC.
- 5/5
The room was nice and clean
- 3/5
Access into parking and facility inconvenient and busy traffic. Very busy in afternoon commute often unsafe. No food establishment near by other than fast food.
- 1/5
First of all, when I entered my room, everything that had a plug was unplugged. Every television, every lamp. I had to plug them in myself in order to see around the hotel room. I was told that "because of renovations" there is no breakfast available. All of the elevators had any kind of marketing stripped from it and replaced by a piece of plywood. I was told that for late check out I need to pay extra.
- 5/5
Extremely spacious room! Extra large, an abundance or storage. Very clean and all in great condition. Super comfortable beds. Awesome!!
- 5/5
Property will be undergoing renovations on and about the site. This was once a grand hotel and I fully believe it will be again. Previously a shilo inn the owners let it deteriorate but the properties bones fixtures and beautiful glasswork and excellent layout of the rooms it could be a contender to become one of Portlands finest hotels.

A step down from the old Shiloh, no breakfast and Shari’s Pies is gone, but I found the facilities to be good, clean, comfortable bed. Reasonably priced and close to the airport.

Friendly staff. Room smell a little musty but very spacious and comfortable bed.

Needed to work through room accommodations and HVAC issues. But all is resolved.

Ok, Suites is an over statement. In 1980 it was suites. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean. The rooms were older but like I said clean. The hallways and lobby would have benefited from the use of a vacuum. The ice maker had ice one day but none the second. The other “guests might have left a little to be desired, if they were guests at all. The front doors never shut. The outside and parking lot looked as if they were never cleaned. Out room had a 19 inch Magnavox television set, just like the one we had when I was 8, in the seventies. There was a larger flat screen if you wanted to sit on the bed to watch TV. I don’t know that I will stay here again but our room was clean and livable for two days.
- 4/5
Good price so I'd stay again.

Room is nice and big. We were comfortable. I feel the room should have been aired out before we arrived. Staff was great room was quiet.
- 5/5
They are under construction but it didn't interrupt the flow of the hotel. It is still in the 90s style and amazingly very well kept. The aur conditioner stopped working a few hours before check in and we did leave a little early because it was too hot. The front desk attendant was apologetic. She called shortly after I left and told me she wanted to give me a small discount which was extremely unexpected and very nice. I've been traveling a lot and there were way worse issues which made me a soild yes on returning to this hotel in the future. Thank you! sometimes its not even about the money and its the gesture of valuing the hard earned money the customers pay for these hotel rooms.
- 5/5
It was a pleasant stay, good customer service.

I have stayed here many times in the last few months, and have gotten to know virtually every member of the staff. This is one of the most accommodating hospitality teams I have ever encountered and I have traveled to many corners of the country and the world at large. They know how to make you feel at home from the moment you walk in the door.

Beautiful room. Very large. Clean. New

Like stepping into the late eighties, early nineties. So if they keep that decor for another decade or two, it'll be pretty cool.

Room was a large suite with microwave and refrigerator. Bed was a very comfortable king. The room was very clean but very worn. There appears to be little insulation between rooms and between floors. It was a very noisy night!

I was told that if I need my room to be cleaned that I have to request a room cleaning. I requested that I needed my room cleaned but I was told that it was scheduled to be cleaned on Friday August 22nd because I checked in on August 19th. As I leaving the hotel that morning of August 22nd housekeeper was on my floor and I requested that they clean my room but I was told that my room was not on the list to be cleaned so I stopped by the front desk. The staff at the desk gave a flimsy excuse that they have had a lot of check ins and if she had to do it herself that she will. I came that evening nothing was done and I went back to the front desk to request a third time for my room to cleaned and was told it will be cleaned on Saturday August 23rd, I came to the Saturday only to find out that it was not cleaned, again I went back to them and asked why my room wasn’t cleaned this time there not excuse given but told that they sent my request to housekeeping department. I have pictures of how gross the bathtub and shower curtain looks after a week of it not being taken care of but my payment was taken from me but no service was provided even after I requested for it four different times.

The location was great, the price was fair, and the room itself was a decent size. That said, it could’ve been cleaner — I found hair in the shower from whoever stayed before me, and the sofa had some burn marks. Additionally, the shower pressure was weak, and in the morning the water wasn’t even hot.
- 3/5
The hotel stay was good but the shower curtains had mold and the floor mats need to be changed
