We only stayed 1 night, but it was perfect and I look forward to booking again! The room was long and had a home feel. There were 2 televisions, 1 in the bedroom and 1 with a sofa in the entrance of the hotel room. It felt like we could relax and unwind without just being on the bed. I really enjoyed the spacious feel! Staff were also very lovely and polite. The only downside was we were upstairs and had to carry the suitcases up and down at check-in and check out.

Not much for amenities, but clean, well maintained and a solid friendly staff. Parking can be challenge on busy nights as first come, first served. 8/10 for value.

Check in and check out service with Austin was terrible. Did not greet us when checking in or checking out. Parking was very limited, room was very dark and outdated. Would not recommend staying here.

Parking was very limited but there there is street parking, the room was very clean and functional, very updated, we got the room late so the rate was unbelievable , we tried to reserve a room next night but they were bisy with only two rooms left and theu were not able to match rate from night before , i will stay again

I enjoyed the Sea Air and the quiet atmosphere. The Motel is practical, straight forward and easy going. No glam. Nothing over the top. Just a nicely managed and down to earth establishment. I would gladly stay here again when back in town. The room was a little cramped but within reason.

Parking was on the street because it was first come first serve, so I ended up parking on the street so I got a $55 dollar ticket. Other than that it was clean and cheap. I would probably stay again.

The room we got was a one queen bed room with bathroom. The room and bathroom was pretty clean only thing is it did have a smell of incense that I'm not a fan of other then that it was an okay spot to stay at for just sleeping and getting ready. The parking there is also every limited so if you do get there late like we did at around 930 pm you'll have to park along the street and have to wake up early to move your car into a parking space.

A cool little place that has a great vibe and although it looks like something right out of the 70s from the outside, the inside is modern, clean and comfortable. Love this motel.

Business friendly, good location old building

At 66 per night it was a steal but regular rates it becomes average. Better than most motels and it’s good value for what it is. Great area, limited amenities, it’s shockingly quiet given the set up and being right on a major street.

Very outdated and rooms incredibly small.

The staff were friendly and check-in was a breeze! When I asked for extra pillows.and towels, the front desk manager, a young gentleman, he was very accommodating....The location was great-5 mins to the Strand, Beach and shopping in Hermosa....10 mins to Manhattan Beach. I also enjoyed all the boutique shops and the variety of food restaurants within walking distance from the hotel, mainly along Artesia Blvd. I will definitely stay here again and will not hesitate to recommend the Seaside to friends and family next time they're in town visiting.... On-site parking lot fills up fairly quickly... That being said, there is plenty of overflow parking just in front of the motel along Artesia Blvd., so it's really not an issue.

We stumbled on this little gem of a hotel. Small room, very clean and better than the hotel we had just paid 4 times more for. The bathroom was lovely. If we ever go back we would book here for sure.

Quiet, clean conveniently located.

Cons: the room was dirty, there were multiple stains on the walls, ceiling, mirror, and headboard. This made the stay uncomfortable for me as the room felt unclean. The room also had an odd smell, may have been due to the stains. They almost look like coffee? Maybe soda. The motel is on the street so you will hear street traffic. Also, the air conditioner is INCREDIBLY loud, like, sounds like an old truck trying to start loud. If you’re sensitive to noises, you will have a hard time sleeping.

Customer Service and facilities are awesome. Love having a kitchen. The location is great. No complaints.

I travel for business, and I have stayed here many times. The staff is always friendly, and the rooms are clean. There are refrigerators and microwaves in the rooms, and a coffee station in the office. Check-in and out is simple. This is my favorite motel in Redondo Beach for work stays.

Staff was nice, room clean, and had more amenities than I expected. The only small issue is that there is not enough parking for all the rooms, but that's okay given the properties size it makes sense. Overall a good experiencwand I would recommend it to anyone staying in the Redondo Beach area.

Value for money A/C was functioning well, but a little too noisy.

The not so good part? No shower head- and just before checking out- yikes- I went through & did the final inspection- opening all drawers- found a drawer full of horrible things- probably best not to mention a- I did take a photo & let them know

Overall, it’s too expensive for what you get. The property is outdated, and no housekeeping was provided. Staff said they didn’t show up for work, so cleaning would be delayed until the next day. Trash wasn’t removed, and shampoo/shower gel weren’t restocked.

My stay was good mainly because it is more affordable. It is nice also to have a small fridge and microwave. However, the shower stall is small. The only major problem is the water from the bathroom faucet smells very bad. The sink's drain area may need cleaning too. Having bottled water on hand is a must.

Room apperared clean. Front desk said we were getting a "free upgrade" to a "suite" but it was just the regular room. My sister was also coming in from out of town to stay there too and they told her the same thing. Cleaning service came into the room while we were out and turned off the ac in our room that we had specifically left on because the room was extremely hot. The hotel is on a very busy street and its hard to pull out of the parking lot. Otherwise it was overall fine.

The host was very nice and accommodating. There are two floors but only stairs. Fortunately they gave us a room on the bottom floor.

The worst customer service! Needs to be upgraded too. Kitchen and appliances were old and smelly. Not enough towels even for the people staying n the room. Uncomfortable beds and sofas. Bathroom found hair. They said if we used the dishes, they had to be clean or will charge you. It’s a hotel not a Airbnb. Would not stay there again

Small but nice room and nice remodeled bath and shower. Coffee in the small office but not in the room. Parking is limited and be careful parking on the street Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00am to 8:00am (see the sign down by Chick fil-A)

Bedding, carpet and paint were old. Single queen room was cramped and not well kept, holes in bathroom wall was stuffed with tissue paper and towel hanger was barely hanging on by one screw. We went out for a couple of hours to come back to find ac was turned off and window was wide open with our electronics in the room. Parking was terrible, most guests had to park in the streets.

Pleasant, humble motel amidst the Santa Monica business district. It's not 'seaside', but a good two or three mile walk will get you there. The Wi-Fi is just passable (with no security), and the flat screen TV just gets basic TV channels, no streaming media. It's reasonably priced considering the other options available. I’d come back.

We had a very brief stay but the kind manager called to make sure we were still on for our stay and made check in so easy and fast. The room was quiet and quaint. I’d definitely stay here again! Very convenient and safe area!

My reservation was not in the system the front desk man said, even though I called earlier to confirm. It was late at night, he must have been asleep when I arrived. He was very rude and told me to watch my tone. I contemplated staying but it was so late and we were tired from traveling so we stayed. The stay itself was not bad. It is a no frills motel. A place to rest your head in a convenient safe enough area. Parking is first come first serve so if you don’t get a spot you need to park on street. Bed was comfortable and it did appear clean. Will I stay here again? Unfortunately not. The man at the front desk made it the worst check in experience I’ve ever had. While I am grateful he “honored” my reservation even though I called earlier and he said he has my reservation and I had My confirmation from orbitz he provided horrible service and I would rather pay double than go through that experience again.

bad experience with owner. the guy took my question of how safe the area was personally and the interaction deteriorated from there. glad i left and found a better place to stay. always get the option to cancel if its not a major chain just incase the place isnt what you want.

I recently stayed at a motel conveniently located close to the beaches. While the room was decent and matched the price paid, my experience was marred by an issue. The guest details provided to Expedia were not accurately transmitted to the motel, resulting in a shortage of room supplies. This caused inconvenience and led to an unnecessary argument with the staff. This lack of coordination and poor customer service overshadowed what could have been a pleasant stay.

Me and my girlfriend booked a last minute stay here for about 3 days to visit family. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. In all honesty, I was worried about the area before booking but I was pleasantly surprised when we showed up. The area surrounding is very safe and clean. Lots of stores to walk to and friendly locals throughout. The room was clean although our shower seemed to have overflowed a few times as it would not drain adequately. Other than that, it was a good, memorable stay.

Now the fun part...at around 2:00 a.m., a woman burst into our room, flipped on the light and started screaming. Apparently, she was freaked out because she had been checked into the same room. It was kind of funny! When she saw us in bed, asleep, she could have turned the light off, closed the door & gone back to the front desk. But no! She had to freak out. We were the ones that should have been screaming. LOL! So, in summary, the place was filthy and inefficient. Not a chance in Hades we would go back. I can't imagine any scenario where the Seaside Motel could be rated WONDERFUL!

My wife and I asked for an extra blanket, the manager saud that's what heaters are for. Extremely cold room, heater made the temperature uncomfortable. Then after a night sleeping on pillows that were like bags of cement, asked for "softer" pillows, again, the manager said that "hotels" don't have soft pillows. Finally,, our room although big and spacious, was facing the noisy blvd. Overall, not a very comfortable and accomodating stay

Near Hermosa beach. It was kind of a far walk but we walked all the way to Hermosa amd then down to Redondo beach. Good price for the quality and location.

We liked the hotel's location, cleanliness, and quick service. However, we asked for a late check-out due to an event, and the housekeeper kept constantly knocking on the door even after we told her that we had a late check-out.

It didn’t feel or smell clean in our room. Beds were comfortable but I didn’t feel clean overall.

I stayed here for 5 nights while on a work trip. This is a great option for the price. The property has a pleasant and personal touch to it with very clean rooms, sheets/pillows and bathrooms. The family that manages this motel take pride in the property and are very nice people. Coffee machine downstairs is easy and quick to use. I would definitely stay here again.

I don’t know how this place could get an 8.5 rating. I would give it a 4 or 5 at best. First off, this was the smallest motel room I have ever stayed in. There was barely enough room to move around the bed and barely enough room to set our small carry on bags anywhere to be able to open them. If we had full sized luggage there would have been nowhere to set it where you could open other than on the bed. Walking around the room barefoot, we could feel all kinds of dirt on the floor. I laid on the bed and got all kinds of debris in the bed sheets off my feet. Obviously the floor was not cleaned. There one tiny soap about 1 1/2” in size in the bathroom and that was it. We had to go to the front desk and ask for some more soap to use in the shower. There was a couple waters in the room which was nice. However, we used the water up and they did not put more water in the room the next day. Not too big of a deal as there was a vending machine just outside our room. But when we tried to get a water out of it, sold out. Had to get in the car and drive to a nearby market to get more water. At least the price was fairly cheap for a room but the rating matches the room. 4-5, no way it’s an 8.5.
