Comfort Inn Rockford near Casino District

The smell from air freshener was overwhelmingly strong. We had to sleep with window open to be able to breathe. There were no towels in bedroom when we arrived. The staff did provide us with towels. The carpet in front of air-conditioning was very wet. There were only a few local stations available. We left before breakfast was served.

Probably do better cleaning around the entrance of the building carpet to old and better way to clean the air in side the building.

The rooms were clean & comfortable. The security for the guests needs to be taken a little more seriously. A guy was in the front parking lot in his truck all day & night slumped over in the drivers seat. Also, I had to park in the back parking lot at night and the door toward the back was propped open with a rug and people were going in and out until I complained at the front desk.

I’ve stayed at this particular hotel many times. This time - it’s not the Comfort Inn chain hotel. It’s more like a rundown version of the chain. Very sad to see it in this unkept state as I know what it used to to look at.

We were in room 309. Room was clean for the most part other than a sticky spot on the carpet that we tried avoid. Furniture pretty beat up and it looked like mold on the wall in the bathroom. No tv remote but the front desk was quick to get us one. Got down to the complementary breakfast at 7:30am and the eggs were gone and only 3 sausage links left. We were down there around 30 mins a the eggs never filled and 6 sausages were refilled. Coffee cups were out so I had to search the cabinets for more. Indoor pool area was clean but small. Good things, the shower had good pressure and hot water and the beds were clean and very comfortable. The staff that I dealt with were friendly and helpful.

The pool area was never cleaned. We stayed over a week and the same towels that kids had left from the first night by a chair sat there the entire week. Not once was the room vacuumed even when asked. Bedding had stains on them. Managers and staff could not speak English. Stayed there times before and it was much better then.

Room was filthy, cheese on the floor, crumbs on the pull out bed, stains on the comforter.

Our non-smoking room had a horrible smoke smell, Tv remote was broke and we had 1 channel. Definitely better options to go with instead

I always booked there when I come into Rockford for work, so things wasn't working like the refrigerator nob and tv remote was hard to control but the bed was comfortable and relaxing

Given keys to the room that wasn't even cleaned yet. Staff cleaning didn't speak english and couldn't communicate with us. Front desk manager didn't seem to care, offered to move room but accomodations were made specifically for adjoing rooms. One door almost falling of hinges. Springler hanging out of wall. Beds were hard as a rock. Shower was like warm at best. Very low class and worn. Breakfast was small and minimal for guests. Most food was gone.

DO NOT! I REPEAT DO NOT reserve rooms here unless you know you will absolutely be staying. They don’t offer refunds, the insurance Expedia sells you insurance, but won’t honor it.

In the past booking at a comfort inn was a soild choice. Different locations seemed to be more up to standards of the name. Unfortunately for the condition of the hotel we stayed in it needs some maintenance, upkeep and a deep clean. Price vs what we got is what my biggest complaint. People service wise were great.

Great until i got put off property because my uber app was compromised. So it took hours to resolve and it was cold so i didn't feel comfortable walking as a woman alone . Unfortunately that got me put off property. Your jot allowed to sit calmy quietly in wait area after you check out of your $220.00 room for one night 😫

The property was unkept and everything looked run down and dirty. I honestly regret staying here but I couldn’t get my money back. The room was disgusting. Blood on the pillows, mirrors and window were filthy, there was mucus on the walls. There were questionable people hanging around. I believe other activities happen there. It was nasty. They switched our room, but I would never stay here again.

Used to stay there few year ago but stopped because other owners not care and service was lousy and breakfast even worse!!!!! Now great place to stay and when go back to area for visiting family will stay there again

While this was not a 5 star hotel, we didn’t pay 5 star prices either. It was a very nice hotel for what we paid. There was pride and care taken in their work. The breakfast was good with a few different choices. Only complaint was the lobby size and only having 6 tables for breakfast.

The hotel and rooms smell humidity

Bathroom was small and towels and toiletries were on the skimpy side. Still this was a very comfortable room, especially for the price. There was a breakfast, but the hot dishes were barely luke warm. Only real complaint was the door to the room. While it is great that it is a heavy fire door, it was very hard to open and had to be pushed to fully close.

Only complaint is you couldn't shut the curtains, only the shears were able to be closed. Let light into the room while trying to sleep.

This an average place to stay. The main reason we picked it was for the couch and tables. We had family staying nearby and they came over we played cards and hung out.

When we arrived at our room we noticed that there was give to the door when you pushed lightly on it. Upon further investigation we saw that the lock plate on the door frame was missing and it looked as if someone had attempted to pry the door from the inside. We asked for a new room and they abliged. The breakfast in the morning was luke warm scrambled eggs and steamed sausage links. The coffee cups were extremely small which, turned out, was a good thing because the "press the button for bad tasting coffee with floaties" was awful.

Orthopedic prescription items in our room and called once we realized we left it, maybe 3 hours after or check out. Staff said that nothing was left behind in the room. We know where exactly it was in the room and they denied it was there. Yes it was our mistake for not checking one more time before turning the keys in. But when it comes to this kind of stuff BE HONEST

Shower flooded the bathroom floor, sink was way slow to drain. The room above us sounded like a herd if elephants stomping around till after 11pm and right away in the morning. Refrigerator barely kept things cold. The heat was either too hot or too cold.

TV issues, staff answered phone but never came to check or solve the issue. And the air conditioning is forced on all night long until 8am, there’s no way to turn it off or warm up the room.

The toilet seat wasn’t fastened down we had to fix it the sink was loose and the remote had no back and we said something about a different getting a different one and they told us don’t worry about it it’s fine

We were given a "non-smoking room" which had obviously been a smoking room at some point, or the previous guests smoked in there! It was cold, even with putting the heat up to 75, the curtains blew open with the heat coming out, disrupting our sleep in the morning. I had no interest in trying the breakfast. I will likely not stay in any Comfort Inn again. Not worth the price!!

My husband took me to Rockford for a concert. We didn’t spend much time in the room. It was very clean a bit outdated. The breakfast was nice. Overall for a quick stay it was nice.

The lights in the restroom weren’t working in the morning and there was a roach in the bedroom.

We booked here because of its proximity to the Rockford Casino. However, the Casino is closed, so there really is no good reason to stay there again.

Comfortable bed and pillows. Room was clean. Breakfast was better than most. Indoor Pool temperature was too cold to use.

Our stay was fine except that the breakfast was supposed to be available until 9 AM. We went down at 8:15 and there was virtually nothing left with no sign of anything being refilled.

We inadvertently left a Philips CPAP machine in Room 101 on Thursday, 10/17/24. I was informed by telephone with the front desk that no CPAP was found. Please consult with the hotel staff.

Carpet was filthy. Bathroom curtains were stained and very dirty as well. Just over all very dirty.

They were fixing the front entrance of the hotel, so it was difficult to get in and out - a temporary problem. Very little seating for breakfast, so it was difficult to find a place to eat. The elevator had issues one morning, so my 87 year old mother had to walk up the stairs to the third floor.

Location was conveniently located off the interstate. Our room had an odor.. musty/smoky? There was an automatic room freshener in room that would go off every 10 minutes or so and not sure if it made it better or worse. The walls in bathroom were dirty/spots. The continental breakfast was less than satisfactory…scrambled eggs looked/tasted artificial. The gentleman checking us in was kind. I would not stay at this hotel again mainly for the odor in room.

I stayed for a week everything was Great!

Housekeeping only by request, minial breakfast. Almost no water in the shower. They have energy efficient heads and it takes 20min to take a 3 min shower. Make sure you have slippers or something because after you take your shower you have to get across a sticky carpet. There are better options in the area for the same price.

AVOID booking at this hotel. Survived two nights but it was gross. Window blinds were filthy and gross to touch when moving the shades in the evening/ morning. Everything felt dirty and sticky. Bedsheets and towels were fine but God forbid you dropped something on the floor and peeked under the bathroom counter/ bed etc. Room had a coffee maker but no cups available. Not hot water at breakfast, I was told “the machine is out of it and we are waiting for it to be fixed. I think the hotel must be understaffed there never seemed to be anyone around to ask for help ( such as replenish the dough for the waffle maker, coffee pot etc.). Light switch in the room by the entrance door did not work so when arriving after dark one had to find their way to the bedside lamp to turn on the light. Hallways smelled bad, the llist could go on and on and on. I never complained as it seemed like there would not be any resolution anyway but stated my concerns at check out with hopes that something could be done for the next guest falling for the “high ratings” and staying there.

When booking, it should state they are remodeling. The floor was very wet down the hallway from the pool, making it slippery. This should have been monitored better. The bed was very comfortable though.

This Comfort Inn is a very serviceable hotel for an overnight stay. The bed is comfortable, the A/C is reasonably quiet, the rooms are clean, and the bathroom is ample. In our room, the noise from the kids in the pool was a little irritating, but that all ended about 10PM. "Breakfast" was minimal.

Worst hotel experience I've ever had! The gentleman at the front desk was so rude and kept my whole deposit because my little niece and nephew came to visit and swam in the pool! Will never be back! There was beoken glass and house keeper came in the room and opened the bathroom door with my son using the bathroom!! The "housekeeper" had no name tag on or a uniform and didn't speak any English at all!

Goid comfort places

Well for starters the beds were small not a queen size like advertised more like a full,the mattress was hard and extremely uncomfortable woke up stiff the full 2 days. The pillows had no support to them which makes you wake up with extreme neck pain. The housekeeping were great. Very friendly and polite.

Both refrigerator and microwave were not pluged in. Wanted to use both. Refrigenator no good if not pluged in.

It was a decent but I had my sister in law come to visit me at the hotel as I was taking my toddler swimming she brought her grandkids to play with my daughter and the man at the desk called me to tell me anyone that wasn't registered couldn't use the pool. That has never happened to me before If I had known I couldn't have a family member visit me at my hotel I would have stayed somewhere else.

It was very average. The eggs were a little cold, they ran out of sausage, the people weren't unfriendly, but they weren't very friendly either.

Carpet was wet right inside the door from the shower head leaking. When showering had to use a towel on the floor to catch the water. Room smelled and felt damp (took a few minutes to figure out it was because of the shower). The door lock didn’t work. Only had the top latch to flip over. Used some furniture to help block the door as it was only me (mom) and my teenage son. My son was grossed out by the brown mark on the shower curtain, but it was some kind of marker, not anything gross. Beds were clean and comfy. Didn’t eat anything as it was not open when we had to leave. Pool looked nice while walking by the windows, small but nice (but we didn’t use).
