Location No hand towels, only a bar of soap for shower, no hand soap only two towels and cant ask for more between certain times ( front desk is closed) no ice machine .. it’s an extend a stay??
- 2/5
Bring you own dishes and pans or you can buy them from the front desk to buy desk. We were given 2 washcloths and 2 very thin small towels for a four day stay additional towels need to be exchanged daily for a fee. There are NO USB charging plugs in room. The selection of TV shows was very limited. There is no pool. There is an additional pet fee per night. The staff was friendly. We will not stay here again. Would not recommend.
- 2/5
I was not impressed. Both my daughter and I were concerned with a random phone call to our room 5 minutes after we arrived and then at 2:15 in the morning there was a strange banging noise outside our room door. We did not feel very safe.
- 1/5
Banging and bumping all night had to leave in the middle of the night and find a room that was better than that. Will never stay there again.
- 5/5
Clean room. Staff helpful.
- 2.5/5
The hotel is pet friendly and allows animals in all rooms. So all rooms have the potential for pet hair and dander. The worst part is that the linens, while "clean" had animal hair on them. It makes the room feel unclean in general. Unpleasant

Lobby looked and smelled clean. The put us in room 105, wreaked of cigarettes. My husband said he charged $28 for our dog, which is an certified emotional support animal and is against the law. I went to the desk and complained about the smoke and my throat burning. He moved us to 113. I also told him he isn't allowed to charge for Esa or service dogs, he said he didn't know. But it's been charged anyway. Would not stay here again. Lobby and hallways clean. Rooms have black mold that has been painted over with dark gold paint. You can still see it where the walls meet. Bed was very hard.

Hello the stay was justbfine

The lady at check in was very nice. Smelled terrible in the hallway and room. No bedding on or for the pull out. Not enough towels. Uncomfortable beds. So noisy, coming from inside hotel and exotic bar next door.

We stayed one night. The staff was very friendly and helpful, though when we arrived at 10:30 pm the front desk was closed and we needed to phone a national number to get the night clerk to come check us in. The room, though reasonably clean, was very outdated and had a strange and unpleasant smell. There was also a very foul smell in the hallways on the first floor. It was a cheap stay, but we would certainly not stay here again.
- 3/5
It would be nice to have coffee makers in room with coffee packets or offer coffee in the lobby. We were only staying one night and didn't realize it didn't offer it. That would have changed my mind to stay here.

The rooms were very clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful, the price was great and the very nice location would definitely stay again. WiFi was a little slow but not that much of a problem kids always wanted it faster lol

I had ordered dinner from doordash and was surprised that my room had no eating utensils or for that matter any kitchen utensils. No pus, pans spatulas, spoons, knives or fork. Went to front desk and he supplied me with a set of plastic eating utensils.

Veiw Checking in & out both receptionist inattentive to front window. Informed phone call was needed. Minimum bath supplies. Laminated flooring on concrete made experience like being in a storage facility. It also made two room parties louder than necessary.

I called with the telephone at the door and on my phone to check in - late check in at 11pm however nobody answered and I was left standing there. I have the call log on my phone , nobody was there to assist. Did not even get to come into hotel, had to book another

This isn't a hotel, motel etc. The extended stay is exactly as advertised. Let me put it to you this way....it's a diamond in the rough everyone should know about. If you stay at one, you won't be disappointed.
- 3/5
Staff was excellent and very helpful, property was a little worn, our room was a non smoking but obviously had been a smoking room at some point because of the smell, room furnishings were worn and older. We were just stopping for a quick rest on a long trip so it didn’t affect us that much.
- 5/5
Stay was okay basically for the location. No breakfast or ice machine
- 5/5
Very nice and cost friendly
- 1/5
Noisy
- 1/5
No enough soap nor coffee anywhere in the lobby or to make in your hotel room. Cheap blankets and not enough towels for a two night stay or to be equipped with a kitchen. There was not a way to wash even the dishes and utensils I brought from home. I was told this place is for longer stays and I explained regardless I was not moving in. No shower gel or toiletries at all. And front desk pulls down a metal lock door and is not accessible past 10 pm. Horrible and should be removed based on false marketing and pretenses. This is a displacement location.
- 3/5
The sofa bed was dirty key card stop working
- 3/5
I understand if people get busy and they need to step out... However, put an electronic bell or buzzer, that people can use to alert you for service when you are away. It's ANNOYING to have CONSTANTLY YELL for help at the front desk until someone comes.
- 3/5
Since they built the casino in the area the prices of all the hotels has gone way up. We stayed here because the price was still reasonable. There are absolutely no frills. You get no breakfast you get one towel, one little bar of soap. The room smelled of cigarettes, and the decoration was stuck in the seventies. I am writing Extended Stay America off of my list
- 3/5
The assistant manager who checked us in and out was great and deserves a raise for all he was dealing with.
- 4/5
The experience was one of contrasts. The room was spacious and quiet but also old and worn. The room included a kitchen but surprisingly no cookware. Only one waste basket in the room. The desk trim was falling off. But I slept well and the shower was great. No coffee maker, no breakfast but also no bowls or silverware in the kitchen. Overall it was worth the price but instead of amazing it was a little frustrating in lacking amenities available elsewhere for less.
- 5/5
We like a super soft bed and this one was quite firm (not rock hard). If we needed to stay a week here, we would have had some bad issues. If you like a firm mattress, you’re golden!
- 3/5
We were disappointed by the inaccurate description. The fully equipped kitchen had nothing in it. Luckily we hadn’t stopped at a grocery store to get our own fixings for dinner. Also you can hear every step made from upstairs. The room was clean and fine for our one night stay.
- 3/5
It said nonsmoking. But people were smoking right at front entrance. A bug crawled out of the faucet. They had a balcony but the seating was disgusting. Just a very old hotel. Needs a lot of renovations.
- 2/5
This was to be an suite. But no cup coffee maker, no breakfast
- 4/5
Basic, no frills stay. If you plan to use the kitchen being your own supplies. None are included. Otherwise the stay was good.
- 3/5
Property was old and outdated. I realize it’s an extended stay but the overwhelming smell of many different people cooking and dogs barking was a bit much. And the bed was god awful. Bathroom faucet was bad. Suggestion would be to have a plug in air freshener or something like that in each room!
- 5/5
The rooms are clean and well furnished.
- 5/5
The management is jock to respond and address any concerns. Safe and friendly place to stay. It’s a home away from home. Thank you for your hospitality.
- 3/5
There for a basketball tournament. Things were clean, and as pictured. Had to ask for more towels, but was able to get them. Was late checking out but no hassles.
- 1/5
Front desk closes at 10pm. If you show up after that, it’s a hassle to get in to the building and to check in.
- 5/5
Good
- 2/5
The staff that checked me in didn't even read the reservation. She talked so fast it was hard to understand her. After she gave me the keys that said 321, I asked her was this on the 1st floor? No on the third floor. She then finally read the reservation and she said that she could possibly fix it. I just took the keys and went out to my car. The Room was too warm 77 degrees and did not cool down. No coffee for in the morning. Will never stay there again.
- 4/5
Check in was weird, there was no one there. We waited for approximately 10 minutes then used the lobby phone to finally call the front desk and ask for someone to come and he finally did. There were other people that said they had waited for almost 15 minutes before us and even started calling out and looking around for someone and no one ever came for them. The smell in the room and hallway was really strange too. There were Skittles on the carpet in the room next to the bed. The toilet would rock and bang against the wall everytime we sat down and the shower head was leaking and spraying sideways out of the shower. There were also no amenities in the room, shampoo, conditioner etc but we asked for some and they did give it to us. Other than that, the room was big and spacious and the hotel was quiet. And there is a LOT of eating and shopping options in the area which was so nice.
- 2/5
The room was clean/odor free. The TV remote was jacked up and some vuttons worked while orhers didn’t … but I was there for work so I didn’t use the TV much. All staff members I encoutered were courteous and available when needed. For some …. these accomodations may be fine (especially if working more than staying in the hotel). As for me, I prefer to stay at a hotel where, at the very least, coffee is available in the morning, and everything in the room works as intended (regardless how often used or not .. i.e. tv remote).

Place was dirty and unkept. Looked like a home for refuges. Unable to check in past 10 pm. Phone in lobby door went to endless loop and no one available after 20 minutes of trying. How do you run a hotel like this?
- 5/5
The room was great ,staff above and beyond helpful . Will be back.
- 2/5
Why is this called an extended stay? No garbage cans, no coffee, kitchen but no dishes or utensils. No coffee in room or lobby. Office closes at 10pm and opens at 10am. Hole in our wall. Worst place ever.
- 5/5
Reservation was just 1 night but everything was great. No issues check in was smooth, room clean, location was good.
- 5/5
Very convenient for us and our dog. Passing through the area. Could use some updating but is clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
There was a lot of people smoking pot outside in their vehicles when we would come and go. There is not anything that can be done about that. It just made the area feel a bit sketch. The staff was wonderful. Room was fine.
- 5/5
We needed a kitchen to prepare food for a reunion. Also had to bring the dog at the last minute and hotel dog friendly.
- 3/5
The entrance of the building smelled we only had 2 towels when the reservation was for 5
- 4/5
Only issue I experienced was loud stomping, jumping coming from the above room first night I arrived.,it went on for quite sometimes. I tried to report the issue at time of occurrence unfortunately call to the front desk was unsuccessful as it was “ after hours”,very frustrating!! However I did advise front desk desk next morning
- 1/5
I didn't get the room that I paid for I didn't get breakfast there no one there i need help in had Questionswas no water no ice I didn't get good service I couldn't even get no one there I didn't even get to see anyone to talk to this morning one bed in a the room i couldn't get no sleep because of the 7 dogs
- 5/5
Good space. Nice layout of a room. 2 desk chairs for 2 people. Room heat works, refrigerator works. This is not the case with many of the Extended Stays we’ve been at. Comfortable bed. There is an oven here. The only thing is that you need to bring your own pans and dishes. They are available, but you have to purchase them. Staff is very nice.
- 5/5
Clean place
- 5/5
I have to admit that I was very surprised at the appearance, conditions, comfortable room, and friendliness of the Extended Stay America Select Suites Rockford State Street. Some Extended Stay America Select Suites smells like cigarette smoke rooms, bad smelly, rugs torn, bugs, and homeless outside facility but this particular facility really surprised me and next time I come through Rockford I will definitely stay here.
- 4/5
nice
- 3/5
Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Large kitchen area with stove, refrigerator dishwasher, but there were no glasses, dishes, silverware or coffeemaker. No coffee in the lobby either.
- 5/5
Nice room
- 1/5
The room smelled like Animals so obviously there were dogs in their prior to our stay. The front office shuts down and is closed from 10 PM to 10 AM. One in the people in our party was locked out of their room and could not get back in because the front desk was . The bathroom in one of our rooms overflowed, and the overnight staff brought a plunger, gloves and towels to us to Fix the issue ourself. No ice machine, No breakfast and it cost $40 to get dishes from the front desk.
- 5/5
Had a very nice stay here! The staff was friendly and helpful. This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The air quality out side smelled like weed! But that has nothing to do with the hotel that is out of their control.
- 5/5
Nice place to stay
- 4/5
Nice and clean, good neighborhood. Disliked that there wasn't a 24-hour clerk.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
Knowing that it was a suite, we were still impressed how large the room was. We had 2 pack-n-plays along and they easily fit in there. No frills place, but we were only there for a night while on a road trip. Pillows were the ones your head sinks through, but otherwise bed was comfortable, showers were solid. There is no staff after 10 pm on site and when we left at 9, there was no one there either.
- 1/5
Don’t stay here. Room smelled like urine, no extra sheets for pull-out sofa, security gate covering front desk, employees NEVER seen at front desk…

It was clean, easy to get to. Friendly staff. Great rates.

My stay was excellent.

I have never stayed at an Extended Stay Hot, so I didn't know what to expect. My husband booked this hotel because it was the MOST REASONABLE in Rockford! It was SUPER CLEAN! BUT the hours of the check-in desk were 7am-10pm M-F and 10am-6pm on S/S ~ NOT ACCOMMODATING @ all! ("Call 911 if you have an emergency.")Then there was NOTHING in the room/kitchen! NOT EVEN A PAPER CUP! NO COFFEE POT, No tissues, ONE bar of soap, no Shampoo, etc! I thought it was just my room, but my friend's room down the hall was the same! NOTHING for breakfast, except Pop-Tarts in the vending machine! NO AMENITIES!!!!! BEWARE! The room was clean with plenty of storage space, but nothing else! Clean - but that's as far as it went! Nice laundry facilities. 3 machines in the exercise room. Be ready to bring EVERYTHING with you!
- 4/5
Was happy with room and it was comfortable
- 4/5
Very nice and clean however the front desk closes at 10. One has to call an agent who contacts someone who is sleeping in the building. They open the door for you and check you in. NOT a smooth process
- 5/5
All good!
- 3/5
Overall hotel was ok. Due to the nature of pets allowed in this hotel my room had the smell of dogs.
- 1/5
The staff was friendly upon arrival. The hotel smells horrible, not to mention the entire floor we stayed on smelled like marijuana.
- 4/5
Very pet friendly, very clean. Heat/air unit loud.
- 5/5
Loved it !

Liked the cleanliness
- 4/5
No ice machine and even though we had cooking facilities they only offered utensils and eating utensils of you bought them. Loved the size of the room and we slept well. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
It was perfect for our overnight trip for a sold out concert in Rockford. Room was clean and comfy, nice bathroom, loved the simplicity. Just enough!
- 2/5
We wasn’t buying cups or silverware. Plastic cups would have been fine. Disliked no ice machine available.
- 5/5
Lugar limpio y excelente servicio
- 5/5
Clean and friendly staff
- 3/5
Building and rooms are outdated. Cabinets are from the 80s. Full kitchen but you need to rent dishes/pots, etc. Only 1 bar of soap in bathroom, no shampoo and conditioner. Room has been patched/painted in spots repeatedly. Time to repaint rooms. Only towels for 2 people, for a 3 person reservation. Called for linens for pull out. After over an hour of waiting for linens, finally went down by ourselfs to get them from the front desk. Overall pretty disappointed.
- 2/5
Due to a delayed flight we arrived at 1 AM to check in. The entry door was locked and a sign stated the front desk closed at 10 PM. Had to call an offsite answering service who then contacted an off duty manager at the hotel. Finally got checked in over a half hour later. Unacceptable process.
- 4/5
Really nice room but there was a party of 20 plus people in the room next to us. Very loud music, started fighting and door slamming until 2:45 am. Otherwise it was ok.
- 2/5
No toiletries save for a bar of soap. No coffee. No breakfast. No one available at the desk for late check-in so we had to wait in the doorway for someone to come. It was our wedding night and we just wanted to shower and relax in a warm dry place. It was not a great hotel or experience.
- 4/5
This is one hotel among a sea of many so the location isn’t beautiful but for a clean safe place to stop it works. Also there is a Walmart across the street so you can purchase a pot for $7.
- 1/5
Everything is old inside and the walls r thin that u can hear everything all the the furniture is from the 80’s and 90’s the only thing positive that is clean but to much $$$ to stay in a outdated hotel
- 5/5
Room was comfortable aside from the air conditioner resetting itself to 68 a couple times. Building construction is light so you will hear every footstep, and loud stereos from the adult cabaret next door, so earplugs are recommended. Being able to leave bathroom fan on without the light helped. Security lights shining into the room made it difficult to get it dark enough to sleep. Disappointed they discontinued the morning coffee service.
- 1/5
Dog hair all over the floor. Asked front desk clerk to have my room vacuumed and he said it would take a day for someone to come do it.
- 3/5
AC was noisy. Room was not clean.
- 5/5
Quick check in, friendly staff, spacious room.
- 5/5
Clean comfortable room great price even a full kitchen at a great price. A lot of dining close
- 5/5
Friendly, clean
- 5/5
The person who checked us in was very nice. The bed and pillows were just right.
- 4/5
Clean enough, kitchenette showing it's age, breakfast could be better. Good enough.
