Aloft by Marriott Chicago Schaumburg

Only bad thing was there are only 2 elevators and 1 of them was down all weekend and cleaning staff had to use the working elevator as well as guests and that elevator was stuck on the nineth floor for a number of hours.

1 Elevator was not working and second elevator was stuck on 9th floor for some time. Elevator that was not working was not repaired for at least an entire day more.

The design of the room bathroom was very awkward. The showers had clear glass doors open to living space offering no privacy. Got really hard for us chose it again

Excellent stay. A tad noisy, but it would not stop me from staying again.

Not the fault of the hotel, but I should have been able to walk to the Convention Center, but due to construction all routes were blocked, which required getting an Uber, since I had no car. The staff was pleasant, the room was clean. Really a fine place. I'd stay there again.

Stayed here on a quick overnight. Lobby was loud and the staff did not look remotely like they wanted to be there. The room was fine for what we needed. Laying in bed the tv definitely felt small and far away but it worked.

This hotel was great! Staff is friendly and very accommodating. Hotel and room are very clean and comfortable. The only reason I gave the hotel lower stars was because of the food options. While what they had was delicious to-go items, it would have been nice to have meals or at least small bites available during the day.

This room was so nice and clean, it had enough luxury without being too much and we got everything we needed for a reasonable price. I thank the staff for getting us what we needed soon after requesting it. This hotel is also in a nice community ,this is hands down by far the best room we've had in a long time, Thank you and I highly recommend to anyone who will be in the Schaumburg area to consider this hotel. 10 stars.

Hotel staff was friendly enough. You could hear everything through the hotel room door. I was awakened by the cleaning staff talking loudly in hallway. Could hear children running in hallway late at night. Hotel maintenance was subpar and not the cleanest. I would not recommend this hotel.

Staff was not helpful at all, rooms are not restocked with towels daily. Asked for towels from room service and she said she couldn’t give me any even though she had a cart full of them. Front desk was not helpful either! Pretty basic hospitality request.

It was very unclear where the breakfast was. Pool was cold. We had to change our own sheets in our room because nobody was there to do it. We had to change them because we are pretty sure nobody else did before we checked in. Nobody asked how are stay was when we checked out.

clean room, modern, friendly staff. we brought our dog with us so i wasn't expecting anything good. The room smelled and looked clean. King size bed large tv. Only complaint I have is the room felt drafty.

The pillows were flat as a pancake. The body wash on the wall in the shower was empty, of course didnt know that until you were already in there! The air conditioner was not working properly. It would not stay on but a few minutes. The parking was good and it was conveniently located.

There was no breakfast bar. The hallways were cold and the parking lot did not have ice removal with salt upon check in. Overnight it snowed and the lot remained unplowed at checkout of 11:00. That was disappointing.

Have always had a good experience at any Aloft location I’ve been to. Check in was SUPER easy and quick. Everyone was super friendly & personable. They had a great section of snacks , treats and quick meals for when it’s late and you’re hungry. I ended up extending my stay because of a snow storm and it was a super simple process! And the location was very clean! Would recommend Aloft & all their locations to everyone.

The location The elevator didn’t work, staff didn’t let guest know the elevator didn’t work. When we told them that the elevator wasn’t working it was skipping floors they stated oh yes it’s been like that since yesterday. That’s dangerous and unacceptable for an establishment to not inform guest about that. When we told the staff they acted unbothered.

Amazing hotel. Everything seems brand new. Room and bathroom was immaculate. Swimming pool and fitness center were new and saw someone cleaning it often. Excellent stay all in all. Would highly recommend over other stays in the area.

The property was good the staff was friendly although there was a hiccup with the room the room was already taken and I had to go back to the front desk to inform them that the room was already taken. I did get another room. once in the room the room was simple and I did not like that the door opened automatically and a full 90 degrees and stayed open for several seconds before closing that I did not like, any one passing can see into the room. Privacy was a concern at that moment other than that it was different but good.

When anyone leaves their room the doors always slam shut and you can hear the noise all the way down the hall way. Kind of annoying. The property itself is very clean and well maintained and the staff is very friendly and smiling!

Room was clean, hallways left a little to be desired. Had large chunks of wall missing in some areas. Staff was great. Pool was very nice. Room was very nice. Other than the hallways the only thing worth mentioning is it was quite loud in the hallways at night. However, I do understand there was a couple of large events that night.

Recommend booking through Expedia always for a fair price or sometimes on the marriot bonvoy app. Always compare first.

I thought the decor and rooms were very nice. Liked the little food bar thing in the lobby. The air freshener/perfume/cologne/whatever pumped into the air on the ground floor was incredibly offensive. You should warn people who have issues with heavily scented areas. It was worse than Abercrombie and Fitch. Seriously, make that not be a thing. It’s brutal.

I really love Aloft hotels and I’ve been to this one several times through the years for work. It seems that each time I come the overall quality continues to decline. The staff are also very blah. They don’t seem like they want to be there. The black guy at the receptionist desk seemed like it was difficult for him to greet me when I’d see him. Very strange. The rooms are starting to look dated and I had flies in the second room I changed to. I’m not sure I’ll book this location again.

Great location, room was excellent, bed was comfy, felt very safe, gym is fantastic for a hotel and there’s a fireplace!!! Only two quibbles. First, the room was very quiet. The AC is on a motion sensor, so if you don’t move periodically, it turns off. As someone who needs a fair amount of white noise to sleep, I usually run the HVAC fan all night. However, because of the sensor, the fan would turn off and it would get very quiet in the room. This was pretty hard on me and I startled awake a number of times every night as people opened and shut doors nearby. Easy solution, bring a white noise machine! Lesson learned. The other was the hot water, although it got warm enough to shower, the water never really got hot and it took a very long time for me to warm up in the morning. That’s it, though, other than those two things, this place is great! The staff was warm and friendly, the facility is gorgeous, there’s even a pool!

Great hotel. Very clean and comfortable beds. The room we were in didn’t have a door to close for privacy while you showered, which was odd with kids. Hallways were very noisy after 11pm from kids.

There was no place in shower to put your own toiletries. The smart tv only had Netflix and Prime as major streaming choices. Hallway noise is loud. Only one elevator worked So not huge things, just things I would have better planned for.

The staff was friendly I will give them that, was here on a little honeymoon after getting married on Saturday thru court, room had stains, killed 2 bugs, pool was cloudy when asked when it would be cleaned no one knew, whole point of staying was to enjoy the pool with our little ones till we go on our getaway, the bar drinks over priced and subpar bar tenders. I am a frequent stayer and so are my colleagues at the Alofts this one is definitely not a representation of the chain.

Room we pretty basic, floors were sticky and there was spilled wine under the night stand, splatter on the wall. Rooms were cleaned every other day, but this was not communicated at check in. Elevators needed a deep cleaning. Lobby area was clean, lots of good seating and bar available. Good hotel if you are not planning on spending alot of time there. Easy to find right off the freeway.

The room was very clean, there was a small fridge and coffee maker available. The tv had options to log in to Netflix and Prime. The pool seemed nice and was handicap accessible, but we did not use it this trip. Overall the hotel was pretty good, however it did seem that the walls were pretty thin. It was easy to hear people in the hallway and in the rooms across from us even if we weren't right by our door.

Overall it was very good...

Asked front desk for sheet and blanket and was told it would be delivered to our room. After an hour of waiting, my husband fell asleep on the couch, with nothing but a pillow. Bartender was NOT attentive as i asked for a glass of ice, he told me it'd be a bit, still took care of customers that came after me and 15 minutes later i had to ask again. No ice machine on main floor nor no instructions of where to find (4th and 6th floor only)

We chose this location, since it was close to Mitsuwa. It was very clean and spacious and was a good stay for 2 nights. We knew there wasn’t any breakfast available, but we didn’t realize there was no tub in the bathroom. It made it a bit difficult to bathe our little ones. There was a tiny fridge in the room, but there was no microwave in the room which made it a bit inconvenient.

The room was very nicely decorated with a modern open airy vibe. Indoor Heated pool with good quality towels. The only concern was cleanliness of the area around the pool. Hair and debris on the floor near the lounge chairs.

The hotel itself was fine. My issue was them charging me $100 for a “bed stain”. Not once was food consumed in the bed itself so I’m not sure how anything was stained. Also not sure how a bed stain can cost them $100 to fix, I can understand a charge of some sort but that seems unreasonably high.
