    I was peeling off the walls. Comforter and towels were stained. The waffle mix was so thin out the waffles taste like cooking spray. The AC unit ran so loudly we could not sleep in the entire place smelled of cigarette smoke in the hallways and in our room, even though we had a no smoking room.

    The air conditioner in the room sounded like the furnace in the movie Home Alone. The refrigerator squealed. The shower did not drain at all. And flooded the bathroom. That would explain the nasty and moldy mildew smell the room had. We arrived at 2:50 p.m. and we're told check-in was not until 3:00 and we would have to wait 10 minutes or pay $10 to check in early. About time of day there was nobody in the lobby and nobody in the parking lot the building was pretty empty. Thought that was sort of odd.

    Third week of staying at this property this year. My plans changed on my prepaid, non refundable booking in that my job needed me to stay at the hospital my last night. I asked if I could receive consideration and was ignored. Five more weeks of hotels needed. Guess I need to find another hotel. But I’m glad you got that one night of money in the bank. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.

    When we opened the door to our section of the hotel, after walking down several walkways, we were hit with a wall of chemical smell, probably masking years of notes air, or smokers. The room was just as bad. No way was it healthy to be breathing that in. We were only hopeful that our clothes did not pick up that smell.

    This is an aging dog of a hotel. If you need a place to sleep and then move on, this might be it. But truly, it was awful. Building is in bad shape, the A/C in our room burnt up and smelled so we changed rooms from a King bed to the only other room avialable. The staff didn't know the difference between a full size (double) bed and a Queen bed. Two people on a full sized bed just didn't work and not for our planned four-day stay! We stayed that one more night because we were exhausted and didn't wnat to deal with a hotel change. Quality Inn did not provide any refund, not for the room with the broken AC or for the alternate room which was NOT the queen bed they assured us it was.

    Check in was awful, the person at the desk was clearly confused kept telling me I was checking in for three nights when I only had one night booked. She couldn’t get the transaction through the credit card machine and kept blaming me, when she clearly didn’t know what she was doing. Very rude and unprofessional

    This is a well placed hotel on Main, and is close to downtown, and there is a lot of available shopping near by. The hotel is kept clean and tidy. Only warning would be to make sure if you have mobility concerns to advocate for a room on the first floor as there did not appear to be an elevator available (not a concern for our traveling party, just found it important to note).

    Non smoking room, freaked of old cigarette smoke, so much so that all of our clothes smelled of it as well. AC unit did not work very well, set temperature to 60, but the AC unit never got to temperature, and barely cold air was being expelled. The room smell was the worst

    The facility does NOT have an elevator so if you’re on the second floor I hope you packed light. My room was located at the rear of the hotel. Took five minutes to walk through the building with luggage to get to the room. The front staff, who acted as I was an inconvenience when I was checking in, could have told me that if I drove my car to the back that there was an entrance which was closer to my room. Outside was poorly lit where cars were parked. The rooms had a musty smell to them which took an entire day to go away.

    Disappointed does even work as an appropriate descriptor. The hallways wreaked of cigarette smoke, the side doors that should have been secured for safety were always open and accessible for anyone off the streeet to enter the hotel. It was disgusting.

    First of all, when I thought I was booking a jacuzzi room on Expedia, I was not. I got there, no jacuzzi in my suite, lady on the phone said "well, you booked a suite, not a jacuzzi room," and didn't offer any more assistance on the matter. So if you're hoping to get a jacuzzi in the room like the pictures show, just know you can't book it directly on Expedia or their website, because it wasn't there either. The lady who checked us in was a different person, and she was phenomenal. She must work late evenings/nights at the front desk, and she was great conversation, but whoever answered the phone was cold and obviously didn't want to be at work. The hotel in general was a disappointment. I didn't get the room I thought I was getting (and there wasn't any specific choice for a jacuzzi room besides their suites—you would think they'd make that clear, but whatever), and the breakfast was not good at all! Only hot item was waffles, and you could get bagels, bread, fruit, cereal or oatmeal, yogurt and milk, but it was a really small selection. The apple juice and the orange juice were watered down, too. Tasted like flavored water. The room was clean and nice, and the front desk lady at night was really nice, but we did not particularly enjoy our stay. Oh and the key cards do not work to get into the back door because they are OBVIOUSLY a different type of key. No elevator. If you have bad knees, prepare to take the stairs anyway. Place is a little run down, but clean. Totally meh.

    The room itself was a major disappointment. It smelled musty, like it hadn’t been aired out in weeks. The carpet had visible stains, and the bathroom was not properly cleaned, there was hair in the shower and grime around the sink. The towels looked old and rough, and the bedding didn’t feel fresh. I didn’t feel comfortable walking barefoot anywhere in the room. Overall, this stay was not worth the money. There are far better options in the area for the same price, or less. I would not stay here again, and I definitely would not recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable or relaxing experience.

    We asked for an accessible room and the “accessibility” just didn’t make sense. They had a seat in the tub but nothing else even came remotely close to bring accessible. The shower head wasn’t adjustable so you couldn’t bathe properly using the seat. No bars to hold onto anywhere. Super low toilet. No room for a walker or wheelchair.

    The room was very clean and bathroom nicely updated. The front desk clerk had a difficult time finding a room for me. I stood there for several minutes while they searched your computer for a room that had been cleaned at 4 pm in the afternoon. She was very professional and friendly but you need to give these people better computer systems. A check in should never take that long.

    checked in after midnight, the front desk clerk was not very accommodating got to the room, unpacked put my head on the pillow and the sink had a major leak water all over the floor, kept coming out very fast and loud asked to switch rooms close one across the hallway, proceeded to get the keys slept for a few hours. They shut the breakfast town exactly at nine. There was no coffee at 8:30 I had to ask them to make that and then when it was shower time, the water was ice cold very upsetting. The only thing good about the hotel was the location.

    The shower was leaking water, when we first arrived the water was completely shut off. The bed has trash under it from previous visit. We left with the clean, just maybe some towels and sheets on the floor. But staff called and said the rooms were so nasty, they were going to have to get the deposit. Laughable! This place is a SCAM, and a joke. I will be taking this situation very public and to let those know about their scams! Just to keep the deposit! Very dirty place and a huge scam! Be ware!     The breakfast choices for our 2 day stay was very disappointing. Consequently both days we had to go out for breakfast which proved to be difficult as it Christmas. (most everything was closed) Plus the hallway where our room was located smelled of cigarette smoke. Don't plan on staying here again!

    I reserved a handicap room, they gave me a room on the second floor and said there was no elevator leaving me to carry my bags up a stair case. The hallways are dirty and there were random noises all night long in the room.

    The four stars is based on value for the price. For the price it was good! Clean room and comfy bed, although outdated hallways leading to my room. Breakfast was seriously lacking so I only had coffee. It was priced significantly below other area hotels so it was worth it, since sleeping was my priority.

    We didn't have breakfast so can't speak to that. Parking was excellent, the room was ok. Relatively clean, not enough towels, not enough paper products (kleenex and tp), and the toiletries were close to empty and the bath soap was barely useable. It was perfectly located to our activities and relatively quiet. It was inexpensive, so we got what we paid for.

    Our room was very clean and had plenty of amenities for the cost. The rooms have nice TV viewing options, ample mini-fridge space, microwave ovens, ironing boards, hair dryers, etc. They have a pool in the courtyard, a fireplace in the lobby seating area, and a decent continental breakfast every morning. The rooms haven’t been updated in a while, yet are in good shape still. The walk-in showers are nice enough, but the beds could be a bit more comfortable. All of the furniture is in great shape, generally. One complaint this stay: my driver’s license was not returned to me at check-in. They did call my mobile once to advise me to return, but I didn’t notice the (missed) call until the next day, hours away from the motel. We have stayed at this motel numerous times when visiting family. It’s a fair deal, and convenient for us.

    I’ve stayed here a couple times now and it’s incredibly clean and quiet. The building is older, but it’s ok because it’s so well maintained. I always sleep well and as a woman traveling alone I’ve always felt safe. Parking is easy and it’s in a convenient location.

    Staff was kind. Things were generally clean. The workout room was easy to access and clean. There was a stain on my comforter unfortunately and the complimentary breakfast was exclusively carbs with very minimal protein and fruit available, which was a bummer. Overall, for the price it was a good experience with only a few minor things I didn't love.

    The location of this hotel is good but it needs some work. Had an issue at check in time. Part of my group arrived before me and were given a room that wasnt cleaned. When I arrived later we were also given a room that wasnt cleaned. They were quick to assign a different room but it seems bad that we both received dirty rooms. The second room they gave us was fine except there was no lense in the door peep hole.

    Horrible! BED BUGS! Stay away! Booked this hotel for my mom as she needed a place to stay for a few days. The reviews were “very good” and the price didnt seem too bad. First night, my mom saw bed bugs crawling on her Bible as she was sitting on the bed. They kept coming out as she moved the sheets! This was room 260. Staff offered another room for the night and manager never called back instead he had front desk call me to tell me i was getting a full refund. Couldn't even apologize! Horrible experience.

    Check-in was smooth, but unfortunately, room #244 was not properly cleaned. The bed was unmade, and there was trash left behind by previous guests. It appeared the room hadn’t been cleaned at all. We also had difficulty locating the room within the hotel. When we returned to the front desk, they promptly provided us with a clean room. It seems housekeeping either overlooked this room or didn’t complete their duties.

    Easy check in, hotel convenient to get to. There is a good family restaurant across the street. Room was clean. Breakfast is very basic cold cereals, bagels/toast, yogurt and waffles. Beds are rock hard though and we all woke up with very sore backs.

    Liars all the way around. We booked on the way into Chicago for the first time. After stopping for dinner and realized after entering the hotel information into the map that it was not in Chicago as advertised and was an hour back the way we had just come. We called and asked for a transfer to a hotel actually in Chicago which wasn’t an option. After pleading our case she agrees to a refund which never happened. I used to rely on this brand but will no longer stop.

    The picture you show of the lobby might be the hotels dream. I had nothing but problems. The room was old, filthy and the shower didn't work. Nor the hot tub but i didn't care about that. The screen outside the window was torn and flapped all night. It was one thing after the next and I left early the next day. Unbelievably bad.

    Room was comfortable. Shower drained too slow, so you were standing in 6" of water when done. Wifi only worked reliably in the morning. Both of my devices couldn't connect in the evening due to "failed to retrieve IP" error messages. People knocking on my room window at night kept me up.

    Registration was easy. Getting to the room was not. Our room was on the 2nd Floor (no elevator) and you had to go up alot of steps. We requested a smoking room (even though we not smoke) as it was the only King Size Room available. However, upon entering the room you could hardly breathe as the air was heavy with smoke order. We put the air conditioner on high to get rid of the odor, but to no avail. It was so bad, we went to a store and picked up a can of Lysol Spray to see if that would help. I sprayed the room 3 times before leaving for our event in town. Upon coming back around 10 PM the smell in the room was no better. I believe air sanitizer machines might help. I will never request a "smoking room" again. I had no idea the experience would be so bad.

    5 stars customer service. The man at front desk (Sunday 08/17/25 4:15 pm)was polite and friendly. He deserves an employee of the month award. The hotel is neat and clean. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Great complementary breakfast. We're coming back next time we go to a concert in Arcadia theater. This hotel is highly recommended.

    This was an economical stay for my mom and my daughter while our AC was out of service. The room was average with a slight smell in the fridge and microwave area. The main issue was a $200 charge because housekeeping smelled smoke in our nonsmoking room, reported four hours after check out. No one smokes in our family. The front desk refused to remove the charge and the group Choice Hotels apologized but said they could do nothing.

    Hotel is under remodel and we get that. However to get to our room we had to walk past the hallways that are filled with construction. That was after we were never told how to get to our second story room. We went up stairs from the lobby could not find our room for the clerk to tell us oh sorry you have to go all the way down the first floor hallway because the second floors are not all connected. No elevators as well. Went to the pool. Pool was absolutely filthy. Not sure the last time it was cleaned. There was shredded babys poop super pieces all over the pool deck . Woman's fake eyelashes. I spent an hour skimming the pool before I would get in. That is how filthy it was. Hotel room had a punch hole in the bathroom door. Beds were flat and stiff. And ac was on the lowest setting and yet the room was never cold.

    To start...the place is quaint looking outside. However, the front desk was not staffed. I needed to use the desk phone and call the attendant who showed up about 10 minutes later....no apology. The room looked clean...just don't drop anything that causes you to see under the bed...yuk. Then there was the crazy druggy next door who I had the displeasure of being threatened by in the hallway. Other than that...a great overnight stay.

    The room itself was decent, adequate for what i needed. The air conditioner did not however work on the hottest days of the year so far. I set the temp to 60 and the air barely ran and the room remained hot. I ended up requesting a fan for the 2nd night to be able to sleep. They said the air was working fine as it eould kick on for a out 3 minutes and shut off before cool.

    One, when we checked in they placed us on the 2nd floor. We filled a cart with our luggage. As we walked to find an elevator, we could not find one. I returned to front desk and they said they did not have an elevator. 2. The my gave my son and daughter a room on the first floor. Originally I requested non smoking. Their room reeked of smoke. When they asked to change rooms. The guy at the desk said the section they were in was smoking. 3. The pool had floaties, no chemicals, and was dimly lit so you could not see how filthy it was. 4. The fitness area was filthy also. The amount we paid was not worth it!! How they got a 4 star rating is beyond me!!

    This hotel was just ok. When checking in, I specifically asked the lady if the breakfast was “a hot breakfast with eggs and stuff or just a basic breakfast” and she said “it’s a hot breakfast”. Well it isn’t. There’s a waffle maker and that’s about it. Everything else is toast, bagels, etc. There was no coffee except decaf. The water pressure in the shower was terrible. The entire hallway where our room was smelled like curry the whole time. The A/C was bipolar and the room didn’t cool off well most of the time, even turned down to 67°.     Check in was seamless and quick. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Very happy with my stay and would definitely go back. Staff was also VERY friendly and helpful.

    It is a great location with a safe and secure environment. Our room was clean. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows. Bathroom was clean and stocked with what we needed. We will stay again when staying in the area to visit family. We did not utilize the breakfast so nothing to say about that. Coffee was good. Staff were friendly and very accommodating.

    Once we we got a clean room our room was never cleaned again or even bed made the duration of our stay. Would not recommend

    Only stayed one night and it was a nice stay. St. Charles is a pretty town on the Fox River and there is plenty to do.
