Hyatt Place San Jose Airport

Accidentally left a very expensive scarf in our room, Called immediately before catching our flight. Staff assured us the item left would be held by housekeeping until we returned. That the scarf would be held for 30-days. Upon return the staff could not retrieve the scarf and then claimed the hotel had no policy to hold lost items. Came across as a scam.

Nice location, very close to the San Jose airport. Close to transportation links and restaurants.

Kinda a surprise there was no microwave in the room and parking was $25 a day.. I didn't know that during booking. Nice hotel, people and such though. Good enough to ignore my only complaints.

Hotel and staff were great. Return shuttle from airport was not good. We waited over 45 minutes for the shuttle to arrive after calling, they should have at least stated it would take that long. Would not stay again because of this.

Hyatt Place San Jose Airport is in a quiet location, and only 5 minutes by car to the airport. The staff is efficient. Breakfast was included in our booking, and the offerings were the typical American breakfast: eggs, sausage, pancakes, coffee, juices, etc. Our room is large with a King bed and a Sofa bed, with plenty of space to move around and set up our luggage. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. Bathroom was spacious, a good-sized sink with decent counter top to set up our personal toiletries, and decent amount of towel bars and hooks. Water pressure in the shower was good, and a rubber mat provided so as not to slip on the wet shower stall. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would stay here again.

Everything was fantastic. My only quip was I was charged $615 for incidentals when I should have only been charged $200.

Excellent property and customer service

Room was very neat and clean. Had a nice sitting area with a couch. Furniture, blinds, and appliances in the room were in top condition. Room was serviced by staff daily without my making a specific request for it. Buffet style breakfast had a nice variety of items, and was kept well stocked and very clean by the staff. Location was good if you want to be near the airport. Parking fees worked out to be about $25 per day.

Overall much better than Hyatt House next door. It’s in a small cul-de-sac, so it’s quieter than Hyatt House. Breakfast quality appears to be better using fresh ingredients rather than cheap mass-produced packaged food.

Very nice , courteous and friendly staffs. We stayed on the seventh floor , mid section and everything was great except for the annoying almost constantly humming electrical noise which I’m not sure where’s coming from. May be ? Generator, ? Transformer . Disturbing sleep, even watching tv.

My daughter and I stayed for two nights. The shuttle was waiting for us once we got off of the airplane, (we didn't have any luggage) so that was a pleasant surprise. Our check-in was fast and the room was very clean and the beds were great. Having breakfast included at this hotel was a perfect way to start the day. The selection was very good and I especially enjoyed the quiche (get there early) with the link sausages. Our driver who took us to the airport was very friendly. This ended our trip in a positive note! I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is on the fence.

Have not left an evaluation for the staff because the reason below: I left my expensive headphone in bed due to in hurry to catch early morning flight. In airport I realized leaving headphone in hotel and called front-desk immediately and the staff promised to have someone retrieve for me. Called back several times to let them know to have my friend to pick up. So far still have no luck, always was told that they would need to find out who had picked it up and would let me know.

A room was assigned, gS station and Parking info details given, food choices and ordering happened prior to gas and park so that when I came back, my order was handed to me! I later discovered my phone charger was broken, they found several ideas to solve the issue and made me a cup of tea while I waited on my phone charger. They both went above the ordinary to ensure my one night stay and early 4 am wake up call was going to be comfortable and stress free. I highly recommend Hyatt Place San Jose whose representatives went above and beyond for me!

The bed was comfortable. The door going out to the pool didn’t work with the key the first day, we let the staff know and it didn’t work the next day. Breakfast was ok. There was a good variety but the “hot” food wasn’t hot or even warm.

The staff is always great to me and goes the extra mile. They are one of the main reasons I keep coming back. I was there for to see my daughter for Mother's Day and was shocked to see that the hotel had done NOTHING special for breakfast on Mother's Day. Not special food, not flowers, not a sign, nothing. No acknowledgment at all. It was very disappointing. Just like your mattresses.

This is NOT the hotel to book for a fun, relaxing day trip. This is a place for workers/fly in business type. Majority news channels, not updated to play Netflix or anything like that. Had to wipe down bathroom before using. Pretty disappointed for $290 plus parking. Will not return. Would recommend if you do not want anything other than a bed and breakfast.

I had a great stay at this Hyatt. The hotel was clean and the staff were nice and friendly. One of the staff at the front desk by the name Allen/Allan was really helpful with whatever questions I had. Breakfast was great too! The hotel was really close to San Jose airport, like 5 minutes drive and easy access to highway. Even though it was close to the freeway and airport, I couldn’t hear the noise at all. Would definitely stay here again.

So the first day there was no water. I have a picture for that, and when I asked the front desk said it will be fixed. Also, no shower gel and I can't ask front desk from the room as there's no phone in the room. I got off without shower gel. Not expected from Hyatt.

We were pleased with our room and the breakfast was wonderful. Although we were were floored when we found out the price we had to pay for parking. Enough to not go there again!

Check in was terrible staff was rude. Made me wait to check in at 2am after all day of extended medical work while she talked on the phone for 5 mins. Then gave me a double room even though I booked and paid for king. Said to bad kings are first come first serve regardless of what you book.

The room was clean and comfortable. Our initial front desk staff was great! He was friendly, courteous and informative. later in the evening we attempted to eat at the hotel restaurant. I'm not sure there is a restaurant. There were tables and a bar area right next to the front desk. I saw no restaurant staff. The front desk staff asked us to take a seat and he would be right with us. Several other guests were in line waiting hotel service. Needless to say, after 5 or so minutes we went back to our room. We called an uber to eat out. While waiting we noticed that a section of the glass awning, above the main entrance,was shattered. it appeared to be a safety hazard. In summary, it served our purpose for an unexpected overnight but nothing impressive or memorable.

The hotel room is super clean and spacious. The staffs are friendly and helpful. It is very convenient; near San Jose Airport. It provides free bus shuttle, great driver. I will book the same hotel if I need to travel to San Jose. Thank you.

Room is clean and spacious and the staff are always nice. They have a lot of options for breakfast. My kid’s only complaint is that the pool isn’t heated.

Everything was perfect. The only thing was we got there an hour later than our check in time and our room wasnt ready but they got it ready after a few minutes waiting

Overall place is clean and well upkept. Rooms are clean and spacious and the hotel itself is conveniently located within 6 minutes of the hotel. One downside I had was that the hotel staff were not very clear on certain charges. I didnt find out till I got there that you have to pay to park in their parking lot, which was $26 a day. They were not transparent about this, nor was this made clear when booking through Expedia. Aside from that slight annoyance the hotel experience was good and worth considering especially if you prefer being closer to the airport.

Everything was great however the a/c system inside the room felt a bit weak had set to 66f and the room temperature was 71f all night.

The breakfast was great. Usually my family doesn’t bother with continental breakfasts, but they had fresh fruit, great bacon, ham, small quiches, oatmeal with all the toppings, breakfast burrito assembly station, cereal, etc. The room and location of the hotel was perfect. It wasn’t a huge issue, but they don’t have enough elevators. There are two and it seemed like the maids also used the guest elevators.

Everything was great except for two issues. We paid for parking but on the last day of our stay we had a note that without an official parking pass, we could be towed. When we checked in, I asked if we needed anything on our dash to park and they said no. Also, if you are a light sleeper to noise, don’t take a room facing the freeway.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but this was worth noting. We were traveling the coast with our family and stayed one night in San Jose. After checking in late and finally getting settled, we were woken up by a knock on the door from staff asking if we had requested maintenance, which we had not. The next morning during breakfast, an alarm went off and guests were asked to evacuate, only to find out it was a false alarm. While things happen, the interruptions made for a restless and disappointing stay.

I booked this hotel as opposed to other for 2 reasons: 1. Airport Shuttle (proximity) and 2. Electric Vehicle Charging. What they failed to disclose is that the EV chargers are for Teslas only. When I needed the hotel shuttle to the airport, I was told that I had to wait over 1.5 hours despite my asking about reserving a spot the night before.

Everyone we encountered were more than helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was well done.

Parking was not free — it cost over $20 per night, which adds up quickly. The rooms did not have a microwave, and there was only one shared microwave in the entire hotel, along with a single water fountain for guests. Breakfast was another disappointment: while kids eat free, adults have to pay $12 each, which felt a bit unreasonable given the limited options. Another challenge was communication — many of the hotel workers did not speak English, and I actually had to call a translator at one point. Lastly, there are signs posted around the property stating the hotel is not responsible for theft, vandalism, or towing, which doesn’t exactly inspire confidence about parking safety. Overall, I’d rate my stay 2 out of 5 stars. The service desk was great, but between the fees, lack of amenities, and general inconvenience, I wouldn’t recommend staying here again.

The shuttle time I needed was full even with contacting them previously. The front desk didn’t give me any information at check in and never got back to me about checking on another shuttle. A couple of hairs in the bathroom, shower, and in the bedding. The furnace and fridge both ran very loud overnight. I wouldn’t stay here again,

Also, we had an accessible room, which was appreciated, but need more bedside plugs for accessible folks machines…and the shower was roll in but it needs a bracket to hold the shower head up at regular height, having to hold the shower head for the whole shower isn’t great if you aren’t in a wheelchair or using the bench…just a second bracket up higher would be a good addition. Last but not least, the room was very nice and cared for, but when I put down the seat in the shower there were 2 very long hairs on it, obviously a place in the room not cleaned every time….we both have short hair.

Parking was horrendous and they did not offer validation, and just said it was game day. Left by 10AM in the beginning of the day and when I came back room was never cleaned. Front person offered 2,000 points for my account for all the inconveniences which they did not even follow up with. Called multiple times for extra towels and tissues had to go down stairs to actually get them. I usually never leave really bad reviews and even heard other people were offered validation for parking due to being game day but when I told the front desk they never mentioned it to me. Probably spent 15-20 minutes a day looking for parking due to anyone can buy and pay for parking there not just guest. Be wary may just be worth it to have a reservation elsewhere to not deal with the hassle. Really expected much better experience staff seemed nice however is it overall a big let down at the end of the day with lack of service and compensation.

Everything was great. Only complaint was parking. Horrible for parking. Actually a safety issue for all guest including me.. People double parking and parking in red. No room for fire truck. Can be in danger here on busy weekends.

I had issues with the room key, they gave me the wrong room. The male staff at the front desk said I had a “special room” and wanted to walk me to my door and it made me me you comfortable. They had no parking. They had nobody working the bar or restaurant area. We tried to have dinner there, but ended up leaving for dinnrr

Staff was really nice and helpful! The gentleman at the front desk on both days was really friendly, and helped us store not only our luggage but also an item that needed to be refrigerated. We really appreciate that!

I loved everything about our stay except for how the parking worked. The room was great, staff friendly and helpful, amenities all nice. Arriving to a new city, managing a rental car, getting to the property, shuffling luggage, checking in…the parking was an added layer of new/complexity/cost. Why not just let hotel guests park in the lot and include costs in the room fee? Also, please fix the printer! Didn’t love having to email the staff a personal doc to print, but they were awesome and helped. Thanks!

Bed was comfy and clean and the different hotel staff throughout the stay we're friendly and helpful.

We were only there overnight between flights but the hotel seemed very nice.

Will not be returning. They charge separately on an app for parking and also a charge for the breakfast. This was our third year at this location. Previous years parking and breakfast were included. Now for two it’s an additional $42 for parking and breakfast. No thanks.

Simple but modern, clean, comfortable, good amenities including bar & a pool. Only downside is that self parking in paid but they offer a discount code to make it $10 per night.

Perfect hotel for those who have flights the following morning. The rooms are clean, there’s a fridge in each room. There’s a breakfast option available if you want it. They also have drinks available for purchase in the lobby.

Nice clean quiet property. Comfy bed, nice smelling shampoo, conditioner, body wash products which was a nice plus. Good breakfast for a good price. Parking was a little limited but enough. My window shade was broken but I didn’t need to adjust it so I just left it. Would definitely stay again.

Dispute over my pre-paid reservation. Upon arrival they said they would not charge my card for the room but for deposit. Was charges $700...I disputed with the front desk, multiple staff and they all said it was I had to resolve with Expedia, they made their problem my problem. WORST STAFF, THEY ALL SHOULD NOT BE IN THE HOSPITALITY BUSINESS! DO NOT STAY HERE.

I then booked the rest of my family, same thing but their reservation SOMEHOW DID NOT COME WITH COMPLIMENTARY PARKING. That was disappointing. There’s available self parking, and it’s not free, you scan a QR code. I booked both reservations and theirs didn’t include it and I didn’t do anything different. The rooms were extremely clean, very serene and safe. The blankets and towels clean and laundered but they did smell like human sebum, kinda like when you thrift shop and launder the item and it still smells. The showers do leak next to the toilet through the slide crack, there’s no anti slip mat or anything like that. That’s my only complaint.
