Super 8 by Wyndham San Jose Airport

To be quite honest, if I could give a lower score I would because everything was terrible. There was no hot water. The room was dirty. The bed had stains on it. There was no television. The walls were unkempt. There was termite holes on the roof. I was just the worst day I’ve ever had in a hotel.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This place was so disgusting, I checked right out the minute I saw roaches on the floors and ticks or bed bugs moving on the bed. I insisted on getting a refund and the guy said I needed to call Expedia even when I showed him the pictures of room 124. My goodness, he didn’t even have the decency to apologize for the inconvenience. I have never experienced this with any other Expedia stay. Yuck!

This was a dirty room infested with bugs and roaches. I walked into the room and immediately left. I would never book to stay in any of their hotels/inns ever again. I have a very low bar in terms of overnight stay for conference travels, but this was a few sigma worse than the worst place I have stayed in globally. You wouldn't expect that from an inn at the hard of San Jose.

WiFi did not work. Tv did not work. Constant pot smoking and loud party noise. Stomping footsteps. Property was clearly very old and seedy looking . But room was fairly clean inside but but was dirty and old.outside.

This was quite possibly the WORST hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Absolutely filthy… I honestly ended up sleeping in my car because the room was so nasty. Smelled rotten.. dirty sheets.. roaches.. the fridge was so loud.. ac had a stink to it.. hole in the shower floor. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

The rooms were unclean in desperate need of repair people sleeping in the stairways and the hallways t v's not working no hot water. Wanted to leave staff would not give me a refund. The bathroom has no door, no hangers for clothes, refrigerator can’t work because the cord can’t reach to the outlet.when needed no one to answer and no one in reception. I booked online and never expect that much worse than on the pictures. Never come back here

I got a room and didn't stay in it, even though it was 1 am when my flight got in. It was very run down. There were people sleeping in their cars in the parking lot, police trying to get into rooms to talk to people. The front desk told me if my room hot water wasn't working they'd take care of it the next day. I had trouble finding my room because room numbers seemed out of order, I was exhausted and figured it must be on the other side of the building. I got to the breezeway and found a stained queen mattress and open bags of trash in the breezeway. I decided that was enough. I spent the next few hours trying to find another room in San Jose, I paid $300 + to stay somewhere else that night

The place needs major renovation. The old pool area was a dumping area for an apparent renovation taking place. My room was clean, but the shower was broke, what I mean was that the shower head connection to the wall was broke and you could not use it. There was a leak in floor area as you walk into the room. We place a towel over it and water was still tracked into the room. The breakfast was coffee, with no sugar and a bottle of very old creamer, 3 very old muffins and a juice machine with apple juice.

Its absolutely horrid. I had to leave and ask for my money back after walking into the hotel room less than 2 minutes later. You turn the light on to roaches running across the walls, sink, and counter. There was literal boogers flicked and wiped on the walls and what appeared to be some blood or something on the door. Just absolutely awful.

This place is an absolute dump. There is remodeling trash everywhere on the property. Other guests were very sketchy. I went to a Sharks game and decided to drive back home to Fresno that night. There wasn’t even a cup in the room for water and it smelled of mold.

I can't think of anything to say we liked except the location is close to the airport We had to walk through a dark parking lot to get to the room and encountered a naked man with the curtains wide open and lights on in his room. The smell of marijuana was everywhere. Another room with curtains wide open had several girls poised by the window which reminded me of an old movie brothel. When we opened the door to our room the scurey of cockroachs was shocking. Roaches running everywhere on the floor and walls. I immediately got chills and we returned to the front desk for a refund. I would not recommend the motel to anyone! The door jam was broken and a little piece of aluminum was held in with two tiny screws so the door could latch

The location wasn't to far from where I had my meeting. There wasn't any hot water either from the sink or the bath tub. I was told that they didn't have enough hot water to go around the whole building and that is why I didn't have any hot water. There was trash over flowing from the trash cans. The place was old and run down.

The room smelled like someone was smoking inside the room when I arrived. Tried calling the front lobby but kept getting sent to another location. No one seemed to be able to get a hold of the front desk. I felt like i was smoking in my room I had to get out and sit in my car

The swimming pool was filled in with concrete. The website showed a beautiful swimming pool. The room had no telephone and no water cups. The so-called breakfast was just apple juice and orange juice and coffee and small cupcake-like muffins. The parking lot had several vehicles on jack stands and homeless people, knocking on my door wanting to charge their cell phones in my room. But the worst thing was in the morning as I said eating my muffins, two different female customers came in to the front desk complaining about bugs and cockroaches crawling all over them at night, and they were actually bitten, and you could see the bite marks on their skin. The first woman walked in with nothing but her underwear on because she washed all of her clothing to try and get the bugs out of them. She wanted the clerk at the front desk to put her clothing in a dryer to dry it out, but he just gave her plastic bags while she stood there shivering freezing her ass off in her wet underwear. The clerk said that he would give her a discount on her room charge. After she left the front lobby, a second woman came in about 10 minutes later with the same complaint and she wanted all of her money back but the court said no I can only give you a discount. Third customer came in to the front lobby a man, complaining that there was no hot water. I have stayed in Super 8 before, but this place was a s*** hole.

The room was neglected, the parking had lots of potholes, it seemed like there was illegal things happening in that hotel. It seemed very low class. The staff was prompt and didn’t give me any hassle, even though I checked out early. But I wouldn’t recommend it.

Really poor conditions in the restroom when i turn the light on cockroaches everywhere. Power strip across the room on the floor causing a trip hazard. By the way i did not stay the night.

One stain in particular was definitely fecal matter. Trash left at the door. All kinds of sketchy things happening in the parking lot. Drugs, broken into cars, and people fighting. While the staff gave me a refund, they were totally indifferent to whole situation.

My husbsnd and i stay at this location regularly with our service dog. The rooms are a perfect size for us and well cleaned. Very private and no interruptions. Definitely worth the price

I have booked two nights at first, but had to check out after staying there for one night. It is a horrible experience. No water in the shower. Saw two cockroach running around the floor. The room has no smoke detector or CO detector, a serious safety issue. And worst of all, there are human feces on the walkway outside the motel building, so disgusting.

We actually booked 4nights but decided to transfer to Holiday Inn Express on the 4th day, the hotel next to it, without any refund, as we were already so stressed going back to Super8. Hope you can take immediate action to this concern. That was the worst hotel I have ever seen. It was filthy. I looked at the bathtub and you could tell it had not been cleaned in months. There was cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. There was a closet with a rod and no hangers. All the room was filthy. Was only in town for a short notice job interview, booked Super 8 due to it being "economical". Chief concerns were paper thin walls where I could hear everything, and I mean everything, that happened in the room next door. Wanted to yell at them to go get a motel room...but then I suddenly remembered where I was. Woke up the morning of my job interview looking forward to a nice hot shower...only to be rudely awakened by the blast of ice-cold water that hit me with upon getting in the shower. Then there was the disconnected fire/smoke alarm...good thing there was no fire that night. I'm almost positive California has some type of fire code requiring a working fire alarm in a hotel room. Bottom line, it was a roof over my head and a bed to sleep on for the night. If you're able to deal with the concerns I pointed out then this is the place for you.

My “neighbor” was having very loud conversation from 11:00 pm until 4:00 am. I tried to call the front desk and got no answer. So I got dressed and knocked on his door. I asked him to please be more quiet, and he said “I no knock on YOUR door when you want me to pay the rent.” I almost called the police. But thankfully he lowered the volume of his voice, and I got about 2 hours sleep.

I pulled up to a burnt down car paramedics a crime scene. I paid for a week a did not stay.

I needed a place to stay for 2 nights because I was working late the day before & had an early appointment in the morning. I had a choice between this one and another that was less than two miles away and needless to say, I made the wrong choice! I reserved a room with 1 King Bed with Sofa bed, Accessible, Non-Smoking (Mobility/Hearing, Roll-In Shower), but there was no sofa bed or enough space for one and it did not contain a roll-in shower. I discovered a lot of bugs crawling around in the tub, floor, walls, furniture, mattress, and found some dead ones in the refrigerator and in the picture frame. I requested another room, but did not receive it until the next day. They provided me with some air freshener as bug spray, but they had to be saturated to stop them from moving. The maids did not do a very good job cleaning the rooms, especially the floors and under the bed. I received a better room the next day around Noon, but the previous occupants were smokers and I had to air out all the toxic fumes with the fan. There were no pests, but it was missing a chair. I can't believe this dump was sold out and displaying a car that exploded and was destroyed in the parking lot is not the best way to make a good impression on guests. I don't blame the staff because they tried to help, but this place should be closed and upgraded if they can still afford to attract business. We can expect someone to contact us soon expressing remorse, but nothing short of a refund would suffice.

I was greeted to this property by a burned down car in the front parking lot. The room had no smoke detector, holes in the ceiling, the bathroom sink is cracked in filled with discoloured caulking, and to top it off the bathtub had the previous occupants' dirty underwear in the tub- did not seem like a safe or clean place to stay- especially at $80 a night- unacceptable- stay away

The premises were littered with trash and car parts. The hallways had old furniture that needed to be disposed and no remote control for the TV. The only way to contact any staff is in person. No phones in rooms

The room key didn't work and the room was far from the desk. When i got a working room key, i opened the door to a filthy room with food containers everywhere. When i went to get a new room, i was passively just given a new room without any type of apology. Thwre were broken beer bottles and car parts all around in the parking lot. I'll never come back here again. It costs way too much for a hotel that's nearly falling apart with roaches EVERYWHERE (including all over your room) and every single accommodation not working. The hot water didn't work, the TV didn't work, the AC didn't work, nothing worked. Staff were nonchalant and didn't care about your issues with the roach motel. Ridiculous.

The photos don’t do justice on what the room looks like. It’s totally opposite hotel is more of people living there. The bed was horrible stings on the floor on the bed. I waited at the outdoor night window after ringing the bell multiple times before anyone came to help me checkin (it was 8:30pm and lobby was closed). Nobody came to the window when I tried to tell them I was leaving and the state of my room. This place was absolutely terrible.

Room looked cleaned but it was noisy and looked delapitated and woke to a ton of cockroaches in the bathroom.

Hot water malfunctioning, bad condition worn badly

When we checked in the front desk attendant was fine. Got to our room and it was horrible. The bed comforter was stained and had crusty food on it. The sheets were clean. But once we turned on the bathroom lights…cockroaches appeared. On the side tables, the toilet and running under the bed. I went to the front and they offered me another room upstairs from where we were. I didn’t get refunded for that night but left and booked another room elsewhere

Would not stay here again

Needed a cheap hotel by the airport, but couldn't sleep at all due to full time residents and homeless blaring music and screaming at each other. Plus the smoke was unbearable, the rooms next to me smoked so much I could see it through the vents.

In the afternoon, we got back to ourcroom and the leak had been repaired and a new hand held shower was also installed. Great work by the maintenence staff.

There was a crack pile in my room and roaches place was falling apart. Management refuse to do anything about it.

DO NOT STAY THERE if you don’t like cockroaches, then a wall and door with holes! Wow! This place is something else!!!!

The Room didn't have a shower curtain toilet paper, no vath towels & the door didn't lock securely. There were roaches inside the room. The outside was diety with people smocking & drinking making lots of noise.

You cannot get even a bottle of water , no vending machine, nothing

The room I was allocated had bedbugs. I had bite marks on my arms and legs. They must fix this problem. The shower is in a terrible shape. The hot water did not warm up enough, just a little bit...

It looks like a large part of the hotel is used as homeless shelter. The hotel room is terrible. Bugs on bed, on windows, walls. Lots of crockroach and other unknown bugs. We were scared. We left arou 9:30 pm. It's a nightmare.

Location was good and staff was great.

Next day, the hotel did not change towels or clean room when I got back very late at night to the hotel. Next day, I asked the man at reception table: “WHY NOT”. He told me that I have to tell them so I can get new towels or need to clean the room. DO NOT BOOK TO STAY AT THIS HOTEL. You will feel sorry as I already felt

Wish I could give it a negative number for review. There was dog poop in the hallway. Floor in the bedroom was so sticky your shoes got stuck to the floor. Bed was disgusting and ‘Free Breakfast’ is Coffee and/or Orange Juice. Awful

It's really bad. This place should be closed for serious maintenance and repairs. The room reeks of smoke and there are cockroaches running around. Do not recommend.
