Quality Inn Schaumburg - Chicago near the Mall

Clean rooms although a little dated. Bathroom door finish was chipping and cracked. However the overall cleanliness was good.

I would definitely stay again

The bathrooms are super small, we had tape on our bathroom door…could barely open the bedroom door as the lock kept sticking…a very outdated hotel. The hot tub was nice but there were no towels to dry off with…the 2nd floor coke machine didn’t work….it was ok for a quick weekend trip but would not stay again.

Housekeeping was super nice. The breakfast was one of the better ones we've had post covid. A lot of places went to strictly prepackaged stuff but they had a different breakfast both days we were there which was refreshing. My daughter loved the herb potatoes. Having a crib on site was extremely appreciated and helpful. The indoor pool was nice since we had rain. It gave my daughter something to do after being in a car for 8 hours. We had a good stay.

Breakfast was solid. Very similar every day but I appreciated the quality and consistency. Hot tub was operating, almost seemed like there were a touch too many chemicals. There's a lot of places to eat and a nice mall close to the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were old but well maintained in my opinion. Unfortunately the low point was the bed. It was quite hard and not very comfortable. Woke up with back pain a couple days. Pretty happy with the stay overall but the one problem was one that cannot be easily overlooked.

It was clean and reasonably priced. It was nice having daily room service without having to ask. The property itself is older but it has been updated through the years. No issues with the property. The commute to the North Lincoln Park area was painfully long.

Good value hotel. Rooms were clean, though showing signs of age. But everything worked and beds were comfortable. The staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet was not horrible, but very basic. The only complaint is that, for a stay of our length (8 nights), it would have been nice to have a smart tv on which we could play our streaming services.

Loved the room had a refrigerator and a microwave. Room was very cleaned. Great to have the free breakfast with enough choices to choose from . The Woodfield mall was very close by. They have a movie theater at walking distance like a 1.5 min away. Also a couple of restaurants walking distance. The city have a shuttle bus nearby. I never used it but would have if I didn’t have a car. There are also a few restaurant nearby that you can drive to.

Nice comfortable place. Very good breakfast and hot tub. The only thing is the door to the stairs slams hard and is loud.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Was close to many restaurants and the mall. Biggest problem was that the mini fridge was really small, and there was no way to adjust the temperature of it. And it did not get very cold to begin with.

Our room was very clean, comfortable and attractive. The pool and the hot tub were clean and functional Breakfast was wonderful! Great selection and quality. And the staff dealt very well with a huge crush of people on the weekend. Wifi, wifi and wifi. It was better than our last time there, but still slow. OK for casual browsing, not very useful for work.

No major complaints. Beds were older and the middle dipped hurting our backs. Water pressure on our floor was minimal. Staff was amazing and the property was very clean.

I really enjoyed the hotel, it had everything you needed! Close to many locations (especially wood field mall!) enjoyed the continental breakfast, room was clean and staff came in each day to tidy and replace linens as needed. They were able to honor a last minute necessary accommodation for a disabled family member which was amazing. Definitely will stay again in the future!

Shower, bed both were excellent. It was quiet and the heating/cooling also worked well. The little fridge kept small items fresh for the 3 night stay. Buffet breakfast was better than most as well. Toilet didn't flush very well. It would fill up with water and slowly drain down. I'm not sure if that is the way it is supposed to work with this elevated toilet.

Would have given the hotel a 5 star rating but in the morning we were sitting in our room and a large centipede was climbing on the wall behind the tv. Otherwise place is great.

Hair dryer blew out sparks and made a horrible sound when turned on. Shampoo was empty.

I stay here on average once a month. The property is clean close to good restaurants. Woodfield mall in theaters.

The location is convenient. But not so much of amenities, for example: toilet is semi clogged, shower head is in bad condition. The vending machine is cash only, inconvenient to get water.

Everything was great but couldn’t stand smell had to get an air freshener plug in. Great hot tub and pool area

The bed had a toe nail in it. There was black colored mold in the tub and we got electrocuted 3 times 2 times by alex and 1 time by myself. The staff said they would bring up mantinance which never arrived. No trash can apart from a small one by the toilet. And the food made both me and alex sick. And there is what seems to be a peep hole in our room. Management/ front end didn't seem to care. Also i have proof photos and everything.

The location for what we needed was great. We took our now adult children here when they were younger to swim and visit Lego discovery place. We now took our granddaughter for the same experience. The only thing was our lock on our door the battery died so every time we needed to get into our room we had to get with the front desk to let us in.

The room was tidy, although it could have used more towels. Ice machine on 3rd floor has NO ice. On, but not dispensing any. Vending machine on 3rd floor is also on but not dispensing anything. A disgusting image of male genitalia is drawn on a window in the stairwell by the vending machines. Desk staff were attentive and I especially appreciated the efforts to protect my privacy when checking in

I did not eat breakfast but since my room was right over the kitchen, my room would get contaminated with the smell of food. The bed sheets had a ton of static. I kept shocking everyone I came in contact with. Not a pleasant place. I will definitely avoid this place in the future.

Staff was excellent. Room and public areas where very clean. The breakfast was fine. The hotel itself is a bit dated. The heater/cooling device in the room was very loud. The chlorine smell was noticeable. Next time get a room away from the center of the building near the elevators.

We were there for three days. Staff was amazing and everything was super clean. Pool/hot tub area was awesome as well. My only suggestion would be to have someone monitoring the pool/hot tub area. Way too many parents seem to use the hot tub as their personal kiddie pool so they don’t have to watch their kids in the actual pool.

Room was clean close to the mall and Legoland and Medieval Times. Pool was pretty good warm enough and small hot tub. Breakfast was good hot potatoes sausage eggs and waffles and the other basic pastries. Good coffee with vanilla creamer.

Had a weekend planned at Woodfield mall and IKEA and this nearby property had many positive reviews. We were not disappointed except for one minor issue. We forgot our phone chargers at home (had cables in car). Surprisingly the room had NO usb ports anywhere. I had to go to the nearby Target store an buy a wall charger. Other than that the stay was great.

Gym was tiny. Parking was fine. Staff barely spoke English. Buffet was average. Parking was fine. Room smelled horribly of a cleaner or something. Felt like they were overcompensating for a cover up. Will not stay again.

This is becoming our regular place to stay when visiting family. Rooms are always clean, staff is always friendly and smiling and there is always something differnet offered for breakfast. Great location as well.

Great staff, very friendly and accommodating. Needed a first floor room for my mom due to the elevator being worked on amd they followed through. Breakfast was great and they rotated the options daily. Cleaning staff did an excellent job. Stayed seven days celebrating Christmas and then celebrating our first grandchild being born. Plan on staying regularly as we return to spend time with our son, his wife and our grandchild.

The hot tub was perfectly hot for me. The swimming pool felt amazing.

A nice room with a very comfortable bed. Great hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage bacon, roasted potatoes and all of the foods included in a continental breakfast. Fresh-squeezed orange juice! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The Room was nice. It had a great breakfast. I was very disturbed that they charged my Credit Card $50.00 for amenities and it took 3 days to refund my card. No other hotel i have stayed at has ever done that, They do ask for a card in case but never charge it.

We went there to relax. Two doors down from us. They were doing construction for three hours drilling very loud. The next morning the elevators were out and my wife and eyes knees hurt a lot and we were on the fourth floor. Over all not a great experience.

Prime location. You can literally walk to the Schaumburg AMC movie theaters and the shops in the streets of Woodfield. The Pace bus station is also very close.

The breakfast was the best and housekeeping was excellent but when the bus of teenagers arrived I couldn’t enjoy the pool or hot tub and it got noisy. When went the for a nice getaway to see family but the room was nice just noisy.

This hotel is not the best. Upon checking in, man spoke very fast with an accent and it was difficult to understand him. Slight smell of bleach to make the hotel seem clean, but it was not. Bed and pillow were ok, room was not really clean. I question if the floor was swept or mopped (carpet had been removed.) There were crumbs or something on the floor. Breakfast was marginal. Eggs were tasteless as was ‘French toast’. Coffee was hot, cups were small, probably 6 oz.

Staff pleasant and respectful . Spacious room. Bathroom clean but old and the shower not flexible . The bathroom fan is very loud and noisy and can't be turned off . It stops automatically for like half and hour , then works again on its own . Breakfast minimal but acceptable especially compared to the rate of the room . 5 min walk to bus station and 10 min walk to Woodfield mall. Nevertheless, my husband and I enjoyed our stay there.

Ive stayed here a few times. Very clean every time, breakfast is always hot and good. Only.thing I dont like is the pool closes too early at 9pm. If no lifegaurd is on duty anyways then why not stay open till midnight or at leaat 11pm. Other than that still an excellent property I would stay at again

Non Smoking room vents are connected to smoking vents. Had Cigarette smoke seaping into the bathroom.

The hotel is generally OK. However, the elevator was out of service throughout my 3-day stay. I witnessed several elderly guests struggling to carry their luggage down the stairs- not sure staffs noticed the situation or offered help.

I was appalled at their attitude of, 'you know its a weekend and hence the technician may not come' Why do you even operate a hotel, if you don't have back up service plans for an escalator. Anyway. Great experience for a one night stay. Hotel staff was friendly and check in was quick. They answered all of my questions. Perfect set up for a one person business stay for one night.

The shower head and a/c worked, but not like they should. Then we walked into our room and had an overwhelming smell of weed. We were on the 4th floor and the elevator broker our first day. Spent the next day going up and down 4 flights of stairs. After that we asked for a new room and we were moved to the 1st floor. No complaints after moving rooms and staff was nice and accommodating about switching.

Good solid hotel for family or otherwise. Very conveniently located with shopping and food options either in walking distance or with a free trolley! Pool was small but nice and indoors. Buffet was plentiful with lots of choices. Only downside is that the interior is feeling dated in decor and the mattresses could have been firmer, but very nice staff, good price and convenience made up for this.

The property was built in 1983, I think. It’s very, very clean from the lobby, restaurant, pool to room. Staff were friendly. Bed and pillows were comfortable. I slept well. That said, room decor, while freshly painted, is tired.

It was easy driving to the hospital where my daughter was admitted. Easy access to food options. It’s an older hotel wear and tear on the furniture but clean. I didn’t like the fact that I had to go through the site that I booked the room through to get extended stay. Upon rebooking the clerk didn’t renew my key

I was happy with the cleanliness and how quiet it was for such a busy weekend.

Checking in was good we got there on time and he helped us quickly to get into our room. Bed was soft. TV size was adequate. Bathroom was small. No carpet. Shower was good pressure, until it did work the next day. Had to shower with a cup. Pool was ok,hot tub was very Hot. Pool and hotel’s hallway had a kind of musty smell to me…. I don’t know why. This hotel wasn’t the worst or the best, maybe in between.

I like the staff they were nice but it just wasn’t a good experience the food was awful I rather pay a higher price for better food and my tv did not work in my room.

Not a new hotel yet I've never stayed in a better hotel. Very clean, great breakfast, and professional and helpful staff.

I was really disappointed with the hotel, especially the beds. The sheets felt really rough and uncomfortable.

As others have mentioned, the room was spic and span CLEAN. And I actually prefer the no-carpet, you never know what's lurking among the fibers. One reviewer was so negative about the bathroom -- I thought it looked beautiful, and the tub drain flowed freely without any pooling for once! I love that. My overall rating would have been 5 stars if staff was a little more friendly and service-oriented... maybe it's a Chicago thing.

This hotel is Frim 1980's. Small room. Little Tv and not a Regular Size like the Average Hotels. It was below Standard for price.

Was exactly what you’d expect, clean, well run and friendly staff.

Great places to eat within walking distance… Seasons 53, Alehouse, even IHOP for kiddos. Across from AMC and mall. Great location.

The hotel was quiet and clean.

Used the hot tub. Clean and a good temperature. Clean room. Breakfast was not big, but everything was warm, seemed fresh and not greasy. Tasty!

Asked housekeeping for towels and was told WAIT 20 minutes. That's absurd. There were a stack of towels on the cart.

Overall it was an ok stay. Very quiet, I just didn't like the funky smell my room had, there were dirty socks from the previous guest left which let's me know housekeeping didn't do their job properly. There was still good left in the fridge from the previous guest just wasnt cleaned to my liking so I cleaned and sanitized myself.

Quietly tucked away across the street from Streets of Woodfield. Pleasantly surprised on how quiet the street is and how little traffic there is on the street. A real find!

Was easy to find and close to the expressway. Lots of parking. Close to shopping and places to eat. Very clean and great breakfast.

I stay here every year on business in April. A well run and clean hotel, good breakfast. No complaints at all.
