Hyatt Place Seattle Downtown

Room was a nice layout and great view of the a Space Needle. Shower had great water pressure and hot water. My wife thought the bed was soft for her liking. Pullout couch was ok, not a lot of padding for my daughter. Breakfast was a great amenity. Main complaint would be the noise. Didn’t seem to have any sound proofing between rooms or outside so could hear everything the neighbors were arguing about and a lot of sirens and other road noise outside.

I really liked that this hotel was located in a very central location. We took the train from the airport to the Space Needle then the hotel was a 5-6 minute walk from there. We then used the city bikes to take the 15-20 minute ride down to the Pikes Place Market . The buffet for breakfast was great, lots of options, and the room and lobby was nice. We also used the gym which had good equipment. Overall, when I go back to Seattle, I would go back to this hotel.

Breakfast was really good.The room is spacious. Staff is okay. Cleaning people doesn’t know how to greet their guests. There’s only 2 elevators. Would rather use the stairs. Location is excellent. Walking distance to the Space needle and to the Monorail.

Front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast and clean and comfortable room. Only negatives were the elevators were having trouble during our checkout, but these things happen. Also, the luggage rack in the room was very rickety. Nothing we couldn’t work around. Would definitely stay again.

Rooms were very spacious and well maintained. Staff was extremely accommodating, and texted us when our rooms were ready. This will now be my first choice when staying in Seattle.

Location is walking distance to the Space Needle and MoPop Museum and other restaurants, as well as a Walgreens across the street. The breakfast each morning was amazing. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is also a stop for the double decker tour bus just steps outside the hotel.

The best part is the convenient location… walking distance from the space center & monorail. I liked the breakfast spread as well which varies from one day to another, the studio style room was quite spacious with a window view of the space needle. We enjoyed our 2 day-stay there.

Beautiful room, we had the king with pull out sofa. We were able to enjoy pizza and watch the baseball game from our room. The staff brought us extra linens and towels, and they served the best breakfast!! It was a short walk to the Space Needle, the area was safe and well lit at night.

We got the room with a Spaceneedle view at the 9th floor. We really like this hotel, the staff are all nice, breakfast is always tasty, the hotel and our room when we checked in is really clean and it smells really nice. Location is also great, just a few blocks away from the Spaceneedle, Chihuly and MoPop. Also close to the Monorail and very accessible to bus. There’s a Walgreens across the street. There are restaurants around as well. You can also leave your luggages after you check out so you can still go around if you’re leaving at night or late in the afternoon. Overall, I highly recommend this place and we’ll definitely stay here again.

Stayed overnight for our cruise. Room was clean and quiet. We stayed in a room with of the Space Needle, which is walkable about 4 blocks. Staff at check in was great. Check out was easy and they didn't mind us staying in the lobby after we checked out.

Breakfast choices were excellent and the food was hot. Flat pillows and there is not enough seating in the breakfast area. Lots of wasted space that could have been used to add additional seating.

I booked 2 rooms and requested early check in for both. I did get one room well before the regular check in time, but the second one was not ready until close to 5:30 pm. I understand rooms were being cleaned up, but guests expect rooms to be ready at the time the hotel states so. The staff was very professional all around. Management should pay close attention to the hotel resources.

Breakfast was fresh and good. We went on a cruise and the location was close to our cruise. We used the transportation offered by our hotel and it was fast and effective getting us to our cruise. The staff was great and our Hotel was very clean. We walked around in the evening and quite a few homeless were walking and asking for money. We will stay at this hotel again. In this day and age it’s expected that a room at this price point should have a safe and I couldn’t believe there wasn’t one. Furniture is in need of updating/refreshing, scratches and stains are unsightly.

Everything about the hotel was great. Especially the supervisor on duty that helped me out when multiple people from Expedia couldn’t help with a situation that they put me in.

Our stay was very enjoyable. The breakfast by far was the most impressive part of our stay! The room with the view of the Space Needle was also very comfortable and worth the additional price. There is street parking directly across the street from the hotel which as of this review is free most nights after 8PM until 8AM. This hotel is also directly across the street from a pharmacy which is super convenient.

Breakfast is ok. Staff are friendly. Elevator is super slow in the morning, we had to go by stairs. Parking was expensive and I was not informed about it. When i checked out I asked the front desk if there is any additional charge. She confirmed no additional charge. My credit card got charged USD56.28, I called the hotel and they told me it is for one night parking fee.

The staff was lovely! Dan was friendly, courteous and very helpful! Unfortunately, the room was disappointing. The bathrooms are quite dated with several chips and marks. The tv did not have the capability to stream apps or screen mirror, though it said it did. And the room was very noisy (beds creaking, loud AC turning on/off, etc.)

Breakfast was great. Both mornings was a slightly different breakfast but still consistent! Staff was super friendly and accommodating especially since we had an oversized vehicle! Space needle and monorail within walking distance. Some restaurants around the hotel. The one we went to was really good and accommodated 8 of us. Rooms were quiet couldn’t hear the people next door or above you so big bonus!!

My only complaint was that we were not granted a late check out. I asked for an additional 30 mins. The fire alarm went off at 5am and kept us up. Management could have made an exception.

Do not like the traffic noises especially when vehicles have loud exhaust and music with bass woke me up several times.

I stayed on the second floor and was able to hear the people outside arguing, then the fire alarm went off at 5 am the room was big the restroom was small I reserved a room with the space needle view and couldn’t see anything past the tree on my window I was disappointed about that but I loved the breakfast and the staff was very help full and welcoming in the kitchen

We had a great room with a good view of the space needle. The lobby was clean and inviting and the room had all the amenities we needed and then some. Parking was pricey at $45 a night but worth paying so I didn’t have to park my car on the street. Breakfast was good but loaded with carbs would like to get to a hotel where they don’t do majority carbs and they have more proteins available that are not fake eggs.

Add a great experience the staff was wonderful and I have to say that the food was amazing. I usually don’t expect much from breakfast, but it was so good. Thank you for the stay.

Our room was not ready until 6PM when check in was at 4. This prevented us from being able to go to our room prior to heading to a Kraken game.

Room was in good condition. Bathroom was to small. Traveling with family so it would have been nice to have a microwave in the room. Staff was great tho, very friendly.

Visited from San Diego and definitely want to comeback again, Dan at the front desk was a big help with a lot of the travel tips that actually saved us a lot of money super friendly guy to. Room had a great view of the space needle also which we were able to walk to in about 10ish min. Pizza at pizza mart that’s close by is also super good lol definitely would stay here again

Great room, I loved the hardwood floors. Hotel is a few minutes walk to the Space Needle, and about 15 minutes walk to the Piers. Yummy breakfast and very nice hotel workers. Will stay here again, when I come back to Seattle.

Barbra the cook in the kitchen was an absolute delight and such a beautiful person. Dan at the front desk was amazing and so helpful. Unfortunately the room gets clean every other day! Had to pay an additional$249 for parking which I was surprised! Great location near popular places such as the iconic Space Needle and Pikes Market!

Based on overall value. $45 a night parking charge was not made explicit in advance, so I feel cheated. Otherwise, it's okay, basically a three plus star place in a convenient downtown Seattle location. The bed was quite comfortable, the room was clean and the staff was nice. The breakfast is pretty good as well, but it ended up being over $200 a night, in off season! A real four star hotel was likely available for that.

Toilet kept getting stuck running, ac was incredibly loud, bed was uncomfortable, incredibly loud as it is up against gas station, appliances dated and google cast did not work. Would not stay again

The location was good. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was good and the staff manning the breakfast area were very friendly. I was disappointed with the “Cafe and Bar”. I guess the bar was the 3 or 4 stools at an extension of the front desk. Nothing to indicate if they were serving anything. I guess the cafe was the area where prepackaged food was available. I saw a few sandwiches with a prepared date of 1/13 and a use by date of 1/20. It was 7pm on the 20th. Needless to say we didn’t purchase anything.

The hotel was extremely flexible... allowed early check in with no issues as rooms were available and even let a late checkout happen to get that extra hour of sleep or two. The kinds of things that are so easy for places to do when able and what makes some places stand out compared to the rest that follow their stringent rules. Also, a great breakfast included, nice shower in the room and really clean overall. A no brainer to stay as a very well rounded option!

Didn’t expect so many negatives at a Hyatt property. Lighting was awful and blinding. Shower curtain way too long and didn’t keep the water in the shower. Bathroom floor soaked after each shower. Extra blanket had a huge hole in it. Bathroom vent didn’t work properly and made More noise than a defective 1950s truck. One disappointment after another.

The staff was quite friendly upon arrival. The room, however, could use some work. There were some unusual spots under the toilet along with multiple loose hairs. I was very thankful that the staff offered to move a night of parking from my bill, but was taken back by needing to fill out the feedback in front of the receptionist. I felt obligated to give them a good review because she was holding my phone and marking the ratings for me. Great location, pretty central to everything. The rooms however have thin walls. I was able to hear the lovely sound of the upstairs neighbor hurling for about two hours as I was trying to go to bed not even the sound of my TV could take away from the sound.

We stayed there for 5 nights during the holiday seasons and it was a comfortable and convenient spot to rest and explore the city. The room is spacious and comfortable. Clean bed clean linens. Front desk is polite and helpful. Literally no complaints.

Breakfast was good, but there was no tea unfortunately. The hotel was exceptionally clean, always my priority, and well-maintained. It was also in a fantastic location. 15 minutes walk to shopping, to pike place market, Elliot Bay trail, and even shorter to Climate pledge Arena and the space needle. If they improve the coffee/tea situation in the rooms and for breakfast, I would have rated much higher.

This was a nice hotel for the price. Love the secure parking and staff were very nice, especially the people doing the complimentary breakfast. The room was clean and had what was needed. The only thing i would say they need to change is their pillows. I normally bring my own but forgot. The pillows were flimsy & the matress on the pull-out was uncomfortable. I would definitely stay there again but would get two queen size beds instead of a king and a pullout.

He not only found an available room for us but he also upgraded us. We had a lovely view of the space needle. The room was quiet and clean. And the bed was so comfortable. Everything was within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Seattle.

My stay was unfortunately not ideal. The bed was extremely squeaky and felt very flimsy, almost like it was made of cardboard. The hallways were also very noisy, and the large gap under the door made it even easier to hear everything going on outside. One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was because it advertised having a pool, but I later found out the pool has been closed for two years, which was disappointing and misleading. On a positive note, the staff was very nice and friendly throughout my stay.

Clean room, great bed and pillows, amazing view, amazing staff. Breakfast wasnt good but, least of my concerns, personally.

Room was spacious and clean. Check in and out was easy. Staff were helpful and kind. Many options for the breakfast.

We had a wonderful stay. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Front desk and buffet staff exceptional. Had a couple of issues starting with no room cleaning for a three day stay- we understood rooms only cleaned every second day. Specifically checked at desk on our way out for the day as was reassured our room was on the list. Room was not touched upon our return. Front desk was very apologetic- hence 4/5. To add to our discord no hot water available on our morning to check out- hence 3/5. Front desk again was as helpful as they could be offering extra points and discount on our parking but we are not likely to have trust in this chain for awhile so points not of any value or incentive.

Staff was wonderful. Room was very nice, and reasonably priced. The hotel is close to the Cultural Center. We walked to the attractions there. This hotel does not have a restaurant/bar; but offered a wide variety of breakfasts. All good.

Great for staying when attending a Climate Pledge event. Easily walkable to the arena, clean spacious room, adequate breakfast next morning. Parking underground was convenient.

I stayed in a room that was very nice. I came with a baby and they had a crib ready for me when I arrived. This was very much needed and appreciated. The front desk was friendly. I loved how close we were to the space needle and the arena where the kracken were playing.

Right m was nice. Location was perfect. Very loud garbage trucks starting at 4 am. Traffic sounds and sirens was not pleasent.

When traveling we always look for accommodations with a bar and restaurant. The ad stated this hotel had both and they now have neither. This made our visit difficult since I am limited in my mobility. Very disappointed

Very clean, breakfast was good and staff was amazing. One employee was even watching over us and protected me and my girl friends from a homeless man that was bothering us right outside so very thankful for that! No complaints!

Room is clean, staffs were polite and helpful. Location is perfect, close to bus stop and Space Needle. Our room was on the 2nd floor, on side where the gas station is so it does get noisy. Not sure if there’s a construction nearby as well. Food was freshly cooked, appreciate the variety of fruits served. There are good restaurants nearby as well. They stored our luggage after check out so we were able to do last minute walk around the Space Needle before heading home. Overall, it was a great place to stay.

Excellent room that was comfortable and very clean. Fantastic location in walking distance to key arena and downtown restaurants/shopping. The area for breakfast was dirty, with no obvious area for people to bus dishes, so plates piled up on the tables. A careless guest spilled coffee all over the tea and sugar packets at the coffee station that was left uncleaned by staff, so there were no dry tea packets available.

The bed in the room was set very high off the floor. As a short person with some mobility issues, it was extremely difficult for me to get into the bed. I almost fell several times trying to get into it. I will never stay here again despite it being a nice place otherwise.

We only stayed one night, before getting onto a cruise, but it was within walking distance to everything, it was clean. I felt safe and the complementary breakfast was nice.

I love this place. Super friendly staff. Clean. We arrived around 9am after a long night of traveling. They let us check in early, which I thought was so awesome. We were exhausted.

Furniture in the room was old and cushions did not provide support for comfortable sitting.

Breakfast was pretty fair. I like the security and the elevators you had to have a room key to get up into the hotel. Staff seemed a little indifferent to anything that was going on.

The gentleman at the front desk in the evening was extremely helpful and knowledgeable!

The rooms are spacious and clean. It would greatly benefit from a better “To-Go” section, seeing there is not a restaurant.

The bed was so comfortable, and I have never had such great pillows before. The ladies at the front desk both when we checked in late in the evening and during the day were very accommodating and professional.

Restaurants within less than a block. We didn’t hesitate to walk at night.

Service was good, but their website isn't accurate. There's no pool and no restaurant (there is breakfast only and it's very crowded on the weekend). Not a lot of food and shopping in the area but it is close to the space Needle. Rooms are adequate, no dresser to store clothes in drawers, very small closet.

Great place to stay for a family wanting to explore the city. Location convenient. The room was good for the 4 of us although the pull out bed was a bit old and not super comfortable for the kids, but did the trick. Room was super clean and the staff soo friendly.

Room was spacious, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a great stay for 2 nights before our cruise.

The Alarm was on at about 2:00am in the morning. We could not go back sleep after. We were told in the morning that two building share the same alarm and unfortunately there might be some issue in the next building. But this was very bad experience. The room was not cleaned on the second day.

It was really comfortable, we stayed for one night and it was nice. A little noisy, but otherwise very comfortable. I enjoyed my stay, the staff were so nice and the breakfast and facilities were great :0)

Pros are that it’s conveniently located near most tourist sights making walking pleasant . Only con was that we didn’t get room service til the third day there Sunday afternoon. We checked in on the Friday before . We also had a fire alarm go off at about 10pm making everyone evacuate to w building only to be told it’s ok without any explanation or follow up update for the inconvenience .

Room is big and clean

The person who checked us in was rude and short with us. Parking cost $75 (also advertised as less expensive than that) It was a waste of money honestly. We splurged for a nice hotel and it was totally not worth it. Will not be going back.

The hotel was exceptionally clean. The staff was friendly. The hotel is in a great spot and it was easy to walk to all the attractions from the Space Needle and museums to Pike Place Market and the waterfront.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly! The location made for a short walk to the space Needle, museums, and several cafes. For as many people as they had going through the breakfast line, a very kind lady worked hard to keep it clean and pleasant. They were very good and helpful to get all of us cruise passengers taken care of, including helping with all that luggage!

Great overnight stay with family roadtrip

One of the beds was horrible. Very noisy and uncomfortable. We had the maintenance guy check it as well and he agreed that it was noisy but nothing could be done except changing the room and no other rooms were available.

After I pressed the issue and refused to simply accept that answer, a room “magically” became available. No apology, no explanation — just a complete lack of transparency about what actually happened. It felt like I was being bumped in favor of someone else, and only got a room because I didn’t back down. The room itself was fine, there is NO POOL, one elevator was out of order and breakfast was pretty disappointing.

There is NOT everyday housekeeping, despite what the description says. The elevator is constantly broken (and average dummies ride the elevator up, thinking it gets them to their destination faster, so that when it arrives at the top floor, it's too full for those passengers. This hotel has a great view of the Space Needle and really capitalizes on that and nothing else.

Hotel was just ok. Very noisy at night by gas station and kids were screaming late into the night. Doors also slam loudly. Some of this you cannot control but on vacation I will not stay here. It is close to attractions but not desirable area.

Checking in early was not an issue because Dorjon knows his business. Maryem said it would not be a problem to leave our car until noon when we checked out around 9 AM to see the Space Needle and Chihuly Glass Garden.

One elevator was diwn which delayed housekeeping so the rooms were not ready by check-in tome od 4 pm. Staff was rude and indifferent to the delay. Felt likewe were putting them out vs the other way around.

Great location in downtown Seattle, close proximity to the Space Needle and other attractions around the area. Price was great for the location. Staff was friendly and the free continental breakfast was great. Also have free cribs if you don't want to bring one (Pak N Play style). Mattress's are super comfy just the right amount of firm and soft to be reasonable for most people.

We were just staying here one night prior to our Alaskan cruise. We were very comfortable in our room and my only minor complaint would be that some items in the complimentary breakfast did not taste so great. But the location was perfect and we were able to walk less than a mile to the pier where we needed to meet our cruise ship.

Great experience! Does get crowded so sometimes catching the elevator can take time and there is a long line for breakfast but it was really nice and I would definitely stay were again. Staff was friendly and the location is perfect.
