Sleep Inn & Suites Smyrna - Nashville Area

This hotel is in a great location, conveniently located near restaurants, but also in a quiet area. The beds were comfortable. It was well suited for our trip to Smyrna for a little girls getaway to go to candy cloud.

Well, I booked because reviews said how amazing this place was and “so clean”….furniture in rooms were terribly stained, a gummy bear was found on floor, bed not super comfy, and NO hot water in shower …..also room terribly humid even with a/c on 66 …had to run fan continuous all night. “Blackout drapes” not blackout at all!!! Woke up to BRIGHT light at 5:45 am!! Breakfast standard, not “outstanding”. Wouldn’t stay again.

Location. They claim they are a smoke free facility. But when walking to our room the whole hallway smelled like marijuana. The outside of the facility can definitely be cleaned up as well.

Con: the business computer in lobby had some kind of corrupt/ file damage and could not be used. It was a very old one and should have been updated.The same for the printer

When we checked in our room was 88 degrees inside took quite awhile to cool down. The air conditioning unit was a window unit and not very efficient and very noisy. The hallways were always hot. The breakfast was okay but the seating was very cramped. I will not stay here again.

The stay was just ok. The headboard was greasy and nasty, floor half vacuum, and the padding under the sheets were bunch up under the fitted sheet. We seen a bug flying on the curtains. I was told at the desk checking in that I would get a receipt at check out. When I checking out I was old if you use a 3rd party they mail the receipt. I use 3rd party often and still receive a printed out receipt.

It was close to our reason for being there. I found a crack pipe under my mattress, showed to the front desk clerk. They did not care to give me a new room or to offer any kind of anything because of the nasty crack pipe under my mattress and they kept my driver's license.

I thought sleep inns were a fairly nice hotel. This one was incredibly outdated and the bathroom gave me the ick. I coudve stayed somewhere much nicer for the same price. Won't stay here again.

The breakfast was a little lacking, and no hot tub in pool area. Those were the only negatives. everything else was great. Very clean and staff were very friendly.

The front staff is amazing and always ready to help! The place is always clean and smells nice, I have been here on a travel assignment and the smiling faces are always welcoming when we arrive!

They later discovered it was their error. Luckily they found my luggage. First night room smelled like dog. Next day was much better aside from my luggage being cleared out.

Sleep Inn Smyrna is a reasonably priced hotel with clean rooms, comfortable beds, decent breakfast, friendly staff, easy access to the highway, and right next to a Cracker Barrel.

The location was great, the room was not as clean as any other hotels I’ve stayed before. The guests beside us were smoking cigarettes and that’s what our room smelled like. We asked to upgrade and the hotel was fully booked. There was a stain on the sheet when we checked in and told the front desk. She offered to give us another one. Overall I would not ever stay at this location again or this line of hotels.

Veronica is an excellent property manager and this showed not only in her cheerful presence but in the staff and the smooth way the place operates night and day. We stayed for a week and found the location perfect for errands, meals, and convenience- avoiding much of the awful Nashville traffic. The room was quiet, roomy and had a great bed. We’ll be back!

Breakfast was good, fresh and plenty. Our room, sliding closet door did not slide, off track. The shower door didn't stay closed, would slowly slide open. Nothing we couldn't tend with. Not sure about a next time.

The bed sheets on the pull out couch were soiled pretty badly and not replaced. I spoke with the front desk and they were pretty disgusted with how it looked- received new sheets.

I enjoyed the waffles and orange juice in the morning to start my day. The staff were very nice and very helpful! The accommodations were perfect for having my dog, a pitbull. He was loved by everyone! Not every place is pet friendly. So hats off for that! Only negative thing i could say is the same breakfast every morning got old. Lol and the keys to the doors would fail alot. Specially when your arms are full and ya need it to work. But those are minor complaints that are outweighed by good qualities. Ty for the hospitality! We booked a stay for one night February 14 for my family of four. We had a king suite with a pullout sofa sleeper. When we pulled out the sofa, there was a urine stain and food crumbs on the sofa bed. We went to the office to see if we could move rooms and she said there was nothing that she could do and the manager was not on shift. Her resolution to that was to just give us a change of sheets. My kids ended up sleeping on the floor because they did not want to sleep on a urine stain mattress. When we checked out the next day, we told the manager and she said all she was able to do was give us 15% off the room for my children sleeping on the floor due to there unsanitary room. I do not recommend Sleep Inn & Suites.

We were able to get a room here from Monday- Friday morning during the Nashville ice storm while our house was without power. We originally booked for one night, and kept adding on as we still didn’t have power. I’m so thankful for a clean and warm place to stay. The staff at this hotel is top tier! Everyone was so kind, welcoming and understanding. The hotel itself was very comfortable and we really appreciated the complimentary breakfast. This experience was stressful, but our stay at Sleep Inn and Suites was wonderful.

We stayed one night and the overall experience was very good. The room was clean and bed slept very well. We also felt it was a safe area and was close to lots of shopping and places to eat.

terrible. cleaning staff is horrible, will "clean" and never take out garbage on a daily basis.

Otherwise: Staff was courteous enough. But the hotel’s pretty run down at this point. Didn’t want to walk barefoot on that carpet, didn’t like the peeling paint/water damage, and didn’t like the roach chilling next to the paint damage.

Floors were/are very creaky. Someone checked in directly above us later in the evening and every step, bump, creak was clearly audible. TV channels available were very limited in comparison to other similar hotels we frequent. The air conditioner continuously cycles all night from either too cold to why the hell is it so hot in here. But, the room was very clean and the bed comfortable.

Place was ok, but the cleaning smell was too strong throughout. Having 2 washing machines + 2 dryers was a plus.

Room smelled like mold and mildew. I had to change rooms and the room I was changed to smelled like mold and mildew as well. I didn’t even bother asking to change rooms again. The television in the room did not work either. It’s decent if you’re looking for somewhere just to stay for the night if you are traveling between states. Other than that I would prefer to stay somewhere else.

The facility was clean and rooms were a good size to move around. Parking was easy and access off and on the interestate 24 was easy. Breakfast was excellenet with hot and cold options. Only complaint was the extra $100 deposit that is returned after a few days of checkout.

One very small elevator that’s very slow, room smelled so musty since no air conditioning was on, took day and half to get musty smell out of room, carpet looked kinda dirty, we left day early. We had a large group staying there for the car event in town and I would expect better.

There were sticky stains on the chair with upholstery. There were stains all over the back of the office chair. There was hair left in the shower. Breakfast juice was unavailable, and eggs were shaped like rectangles. I had a $100 charge on my card for “deposit” and have to make sure it doesn’t come out. Other than that I enjoyed it. Unfortunately I will not return.

It was really subpar. The floors were sticky when we walked in to check in, our room smelled like they tried to cover up a musty smell with cleaners, there was a hard, sticky spot on the carpet, the bathroom sink was cracked and had a chunk out of it, one of the shower tiles was cracked very badly, and our TV didn’t work. I’m just glad we only had to stay there for one night.

The rooms smell horrible. They smell musty and moist. I had a horrible headache during my stay. The crazy thing about it is that the headache would go away while I was away from the room. Highly recommend looking into this and getting rid of the carpets. They are so disgusting

Great access to main freeway. Double- or triple glazed hotel room windows provided excellent sound proofing. Room prices most reasonable. Clean and spacious rooms with good facilities including fridge, kettle and microwave. Staff were friendly but quite new. Breakfast was modest but hit the spot just fine. Overall a good experience! Docked one point due to no plug in bath or wash basin and toilet needed some plumbing work as the water ran constantly. Lack of plugs meant bathing and wet shaving were challenges but had shower backup option at least.

The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. The hotel is located in a very nice area. There were many shopping stores and restaurants nearby.

The staff made the stay wonderful. They were attentive and kept the place clean. The breakfast was good and the breakfast staff kept everything stocked.

We loved the shower. Our room had a musty smell.The housekeeper gave me a spray for the carpet that helped.Coffee was not available after breakfast except for in the room.The overall experience was good.

Lobby and staff were outstanding. Very fresh and clean. Our first room was musty and there was standing water in the bathroom floor. They moved us to the third floor and the hallway was sweltering. The room smelled better. But one pillow had makeup on it and the ac didn’t work well. We couldn’t sleep with blankets because it was too warm. The floors definitely needed a cleaning. My socks were black after just a few minutes.

I liked the staff, they were very courteous. The breakfast was subpar. The toaster only toasted from one side. No real choice on tea. No available coffee or tea in the lobby. No extra goodies like a choice of fruit or sweet roll. It would be better to do a few things well rather than more things in an acceptable way.

I really liked Hemmet at the lobby when I checked in at night. He was very friendly and helpful.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and AC was good. Indoor pool was nice. Breakfast had lots of choices and was good. Pet friendly. We will be staying again. Very happy.

It was both comfortable and affordable. Nice shower, comfortable beds, A/C, coffee, pool. 25 min to Nashville.

Difficult to get into from the east. Heavy traffic. Room was nice and comfortable. Air conditioning was quiet. Breakfast was poor.

It was cool. No complaints. Well actually the gravy on Saturday breakfast was very watery, not tasty at all. Also didn’t love having to notify them that I wanted housekeeping every day. Otherwise, great stay.

Clean

My stay was very nice. My day to day life is very hectic and I just had to het away. So I booked a room for a few nights of peace. For once I had nothing to worry about. They kept an eye on everything. Not once did I see any conflicts with guest or amongst themselves. The guest that I interacted with were please with their stay as well. It's justa comfortable and relaxed environment.

Not sure how this property had a “Very Good” rating - I had a non smoking room that smelled like smoke and a bunch of older teenagers being loud and running up and down the floor cussing. The A/C didn’t work that great and just not the cleanest.

I want to give 2 star but staffs were nice. Parking is easy and safe. The room I slept in was so bad, it smelled so old, not clean, and I found dead cockroach on the floor. I didn’t bother to change the room because I checked in so late.

Always good to stay here but the 100 dollar "deposit" that isnt refunded for several days doesnt please me.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, but the carpet in the room had a strong unpleasant odor. The breakfast and the team were excellent. The pool stays open late, and the location is very convenient—close to everything.

Overall we had a good experience. All appeared pretty clean. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was ok. Staff was very friendly.

Everything is great but the bed was a little hard

To say it was underwhelming is generous. I will give credit for two positives— they allowed me to reschedule last minute when our event had a cancellation. And the air conditioning worked well in the room.

It was the worst experience at a hotel that I have ever had. The first one they put me in had a very bad older and the second room they put me in was already being rented out. The room that my son rented had cockroaches. I will never be returning to this property.

My only complaint is about the highly scented products offered(soaps, lotions, etc.). The whole place smells like "pear sandalwood" products. Anyone who is allergic or sensitive to perfume will have difficulty.

My stay was great. Budget friendly and convenient to all food and shopping areas.

Definitely a step up from the LaQuinta in Memphis, as far as room quality and staff attentiveness and food quality.

Great check in

The kids running up and down hallways. People banging on the walls kids kicking doors and running away. Had to call front desk multiple times. I was not happy about it and it still continued. I finally gave up and will request management to talk to me regatding it.

Convenience to interstate

Was great to be pet friendly. We did have a problem with the faucet in the bathroom leaking. They let us move to a different room.

Everything was great

This hotel is dirty and smells like animal urine in the hall and room. Huge dogs barking across the hall. Do not get a room on the first floor. That is where all the animals are. Hotel is very noisy as well and beds are very hard. Would never ever stay here again. Totally disappointed.

This hotel smells bad and they really try to cover it up with air freshener. It was really unpleasant.

My 3 night stay was really good. The hotel was clean & conveniently locating near lots of food places & shopping stores.

The stay was great. Room was beautiful. Very welcoming. Bed was comfortable. Love the shower. However, it took a bit for the water to warm up but when it did, it was great. It was hot and not luke warm.

Front desk staff very nice. Hotel overall had a (depending on your taste) weird floral smell. Carpets in hall seemed to need a cleaning. Room was great. Shower and bathroom excellent...so really can't complain much because the room is the key.
