This is a newer building and it was clean. The rooms were smaller than most hotels in this price range. The breakfast was light. Eggs, potatoes and a meat. Cereal, fruit and yogurt but no waffles. Coffee and tea is offered 24-7 but there is no coffee pot in the room. In the future I will probably stay at a different location.

We were supposed to pay when we arrived & they charged us hours before then. Breakfast was beyond minimal. The staff was very friendly to the gentleman in front of us, giving him lots of choices & small talk. He was short and rude with me, prompting me to pay without letting me know an amount or explanation.

Everything was clean and fairly new, but walls were thin as far as hearing everything happening in the next room. The dog barking at 545AM was NOT cool. Not really the hotels fault directly, but for allowing animals it is. I love dogs...when they stay home

Breakfast was good and the location had plenty of things around. The floors between rooms were very thin and noisey.

The place was clean and tidy. the room was excellent. However there were guests that literally stayed up past 3:00 am partying in a room next to mine. the TV was loud and the talking continued. A suggestion, at midnight have someone walk the halls and call rooms that are noisy and ask to be respectful?

Great place. They were one of more affordable options in the area the night we stayed, and it was rated well, so we went. It was great - plenty of room with 2 queens for 2 sisters travelling together; bed and pillows were very comfortable; physical condition of the room was great; plenty of bathroom counter space, great shower… Good selection of fairly-priced late-night snacks at the front desk; staff are all friendly; breakfast was amazing; great tea & coffee selection available 24/7… It seemed to me from my interactions with staff that management respects them, listens, and takes customer feedback seriously. The whole operation just feels well-run. Someone at the top there is a very good innkeeper, and their attention is evident everywhere. That’s rare for a budget hotel, and doubly tough in this market, so Bravo to you for that! I wish all budget hotels could be this good. I wish *any* budget hotel could be. This one scores 10/10. I didn’t mind that the room had no coffee machine. Their coffee is better, and it’s available 24/7, so who cares? Fridge didn’t have a freezer - but if we had e.g. a med ice pack to freeze, I know they would have been happy to keep it in their freezer, so no problem. It would have been nice to be able to connect my Bluetooth headphones to the TV so my sister could sleep while I watched it. Some lines of code in the TV’s hotel-use firmware programming could fix that. These next two items would have made a great experience stellar: Bathroom could use a nightlight (maybe buy some rovers and offer them at the front desk for sign-out?). Bed lamps could really use dimmers. So could the bathroom light, although a night light might be adequate. But functionally, dimmers allow one person to sleep while the other is awake. They also change mood while adding elegance, which would add warmth to the rooms’ Euro-functional aesthetic (one review compared them to an Ikea). They aren’t expensive to buy, install & maintain, but they’d add a lot of value. I gave that advice to the (friendly and efficient) front desk clerk, who I felt really heard me. He said they were planning to do some work. I wouldn’t be surprised to find nightlights and at least the promise of dimmers on my next visit.

This was our first time staying at an Avid hotel and we will definitely be back! The lobby is spacious & we were greeted by friendly staff. Our room was clean and smelled fresh! It was overall pretty quiet, only heard some doors occasionally closing which is to be expected, but overall pretty quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was very good with a great selection of items. We only stayed one night, but it was enjoyable. Plenty of shopping and restaurants near by if needed. Quick access to I24 and only about 15-20 minutes from the airport.

The free breakfast was outstanding! Parking was convenient and ample handicap parking. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Stayed at the Hilton across the road and it cost twice as much, wouldn't allow check in until after 5 PM, and no free breakfast. All those things matter. Through no fault of the hotel, the state booked all available rooms before I could get 2 additional days

Likely will not be returning to this hotel. Our room had previous water damage in the bathroom (101). You can tell they tried to patch fix it with caulking. The corner of the wall was separating from the other wall, and the wallpaper was pulled away from the wall. There were brown stains down the length of the corner of the wall. The pillowcase I wanted to use had stains on it. Unsure if it was unwashed or a permanent stain. The bed was soft and rolling towards the edge on one side and was hard on the other. The bar across the street played music until 3 AM. When other guests would shut their door, our door shook. Every single time. The first time it happened I thought someone was trying to open up our door, that’s how much it moved. That continued throughout the night. Did not sleep well. I did appreciate the ample wall hooks and places to put our bags so they weren’t on the floor.

I had an excellent stay at the Avid Hotel Nashville South – Smyrna by IHG. From the moment we arrived, the staff was absolutely amazing—friendly, professional, and welcoming. Check-in took less than five minutes and was completely seamless. The room itself was modern, spotless, and very well maintained. Everything felt fresh and thoughtfully designed, which made the stay extremely comfortable. While the breakfast options were somewhat limited, the quality was very good and more than sufficient to start the day. The 24-hour bean-to-cup coffee was a standout amenity and very much appreciated. The hotel’s location is ideal—right off I-24—yet surprisingly quiet and felt very safe. You could not hear freeway traffic at all, which was impressive given how close it is to the interstate. I was also very satisfied with the nightly rate. We are locals who stayed during the extreme weather emergency that impacted Nashville, TN, and I was genuinely pleased that this hotel did not inflate their pricing during that time. That level of fairness and integrity truly stood out. Overall, a fantastic experience. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through the area.

When I arrived at this property, the hotel front desk person had canceled my reservation and this was my first time in Tennessee. After the manager was made aware of what happened everything was OK but also the hotel rooms are smaller than what the picture shows and also there was no mirror in our room except in the bathroom.

The room was fine, but the walls at this hotel are paper thin. You can hear people walking in the rooms above you, every bag slammed on the floor, and this is all night. So, getting a good night’s rest probably only happens on the top floor. Also, the 24-hr coffee machines weren’t working properly. Lukewarm coffee- yuck. The staff was nice, but I won’t stay here again. Terrible night’s rest.

Very nice and clean hotel. Excellent proximity to restaurants and shopping. Our only downside is comfort! Only a single office chair in the room. Timed bathroom light that throws one into darkness during shower or just using the commode. Single hooks on the wall for clothe hanging. The hotel in our experience is uncomfortable for long stay. Maybe just overnight stay could be ideal.

The first bedroom we had, had a huge roach crawling on the floor. The hotel was really packed that night but they ended up giving us a room next door from the previous room. It’s was a bit Better of course because that room was bugless , but it still couldn’t have been a bit cleaner.

It was a very clean room and super easy to check in. Ground floor room - every time someone used a faucet or flushed it sounded like the room was being flooded. Be prepared if you are by an exit door for a lot of slamming doors. Breakfast was just okay.

Terrible odor in our room. We asked to change rooms, but they were all booked. We were told that they would bring us room odorizers and reduce our charge for the room. We never got any odorizers and as of right now, I charge has not been reduced.

Check in was very easy. The staff was very kind and professional. The location is great! A lot of shops and restaraunts nearby. The 24 hr coffee station was the best. The facility is very clean and inviting. I dont like that they dont have a pool, but everything else was wonderful.

The king bedroom was very small.

Cons: Breakfast was limited in variety and the juice was very watered down. Room was not very sound proof and we could hear others in the hallway and in the rooms around us.

Room was fine there was a ripped chair in room and I heavily stained bench. Bed was ok you did sink into mold where others have slept. Walls are paper thin. There must of been a dog next door because it barked for awhile. Breakfast was fine your normal morning breakfast at hotels. The attendant was working hard name very friendly.

Property, room, dining area cleanliness great. Problems you hear ever door slam!!! Ever foot step made in the hall ways and in the rooms. Room A/C would not regulate hot all night. I will NOT ever stay at another AVID. Holiday Inn corp. needs to sell or up these properties.

I love how up to date and clean the hotel is. Being a member let's you check in early which was exactly the situation I ran into with needing to get into my room before 4 pm. The staff is amazing and the breakfast is top notch I have zero complaints.

Just when housekeeper arrive at 8 o’clock in the morning. They are so loud closing doors banging and talking very loud. Just a courtesy that people are still sleeping at 8 am so just try to be a little quiet.

This was the first time we have stayed at this brand of hotel. We were pleasantly surprised. The room (although a little small) was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good (coffee machine was very unique). Would highly recommend this location.

This hotel was spotless. Its the cleanest we have ever been in. We never heard any noises.. the breakfast was great. We had scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, bacon and toast. There was no coffee pot in the room. It was served in the lobby. We will definitely stay here again.
