Holiday Inn Express & Suites St. Petersburg - Madeira Beach by IHG

​We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this Holiday Inn in St. Petersburg! The hotel was exceptionally nice and spotlessly clean throughout our entire visit. ​The standout features for us were definitely the amenities: the pool and hot tub areas are amazing and a perfect place to relax. We also looked forward to breakfast every morning—it was absolutely delicious with a great variety. ​Getting to the beach was a breeze thanks to their free shuttle service, which saved us so much time and hassle with parking. To top it all off, every single staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. ​We will definitely be staying here again next time we are in town!

Breakfast was above and beyond . Everything you could want or need was available , so many choices and the rotation was appreciated . Coffee was excellent. Pool was clean and inviting however it was very warm and didn’t care for the salty water but enjoyed it anyway . We will definitely return to this property next year . Close to the beaches, too .

I loved everything about this hotel. The only thing that prevents me from giving them a high rating is that I had dirty bedding (dried blood or dookie) and didn’t realize it until the next morning. I went downstairs and notified the front office around 8:45am and it took them until about 4pm to change the sheets. Other than that it was a great stay

The refrigerator smelled like a dead something in there. My food stank and had to throw it away. It was so bad I had to wash my ice pack before I could put it back in my own freezer. The shower had NO body lotion left in the dispenser, lucky for me I travel with a small bar of hotel soap... Not a great experience, I stay at your property one night every month.

The breakfast was great. The room was great. The pool was great. Everybody was friendly and my dog loved the stay.

I stayed 1 night but would definitely stay there again. The hotel is in a walmart parking lot, next door to roadhouse and so.e other family Denny's style restaurant.

Great for families! Loved the buffet breakfast! Staff is super helpful and friendly. House keeping does a wonderful job and are super nice! Free shuttle is offered to anywhere within 5 miles! Helps you save money on parking! We will return!

We had an amazing 2 night stay at the Holiday Day Inn Madeira Beach. We were in town for a marriage conference but chose to stay at this location over the marriage conference was held at. The entire staff were so nice and accommodating from check in to check out. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The room was modern, comfortable and clean. The water pressure in the shower was so good and strong! The hot breakfast was so good and fresh. The location was excellent and didn’t have to drive to the store or a restaurant with Walmart and Texas Road House being just steps away. We loved our stay and highly recommend.

I will be staying here more often! Very clean, close to my boat storage and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly!

Recommend this hotel for your next trip to St Pete. The hotel was kept very clean, breakfast was quite diverse specially for a holiday inn express, and staff were friendly and helpful! Shoutout to Jimmy for going above and beyond with his great service and super helpful shuttle service to beaches and locations within 5miles. Location was excellent within walking distance to Walmart and TX Roadhouse, and beaches within a 10min drive. Will be staying here next time !

The staff at check-in was kind and professional, allowing the luggage drop-off, before our room was available. The room was very large. The air conditioning was good and quiet: it was possible to warm up the room temperature, in order to have a comfortable night. The staff at check-out was not so friendly. The breakfast had a limited offer and providing only one-use only cutlery, instead of metal one.

We stay here several times a year and it is always enjoyable with clean, comfortable rooms and friendly staff!

called the hotel right after landing at 10:00 AM to see if we could drop off our luggage. Maya answered and happily let me know we could check in early since our room was ready! When we arrived, she even remembered my name from the call and got us checked in right away. The rest of our stay was just as great. The entire staff was incredibly friendly, and the restaurant provided excellent service for both dinner and breakfast. Maya was fantastic, and I will definitely be staying here again!

This is a very clean hotel that's right next to a Walmart and about 10 minutes from the beach. The rooms are newly renovated and clean. The staff are super friendly and helpful! Parking is free which is nice! I highly recommend this hotel!

We loved our stay. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Everything was clean. Breakfast was fresh and on time. Rooms came with dove products instead of the off brand products that dry your skin and hair out. Amenities on site were helpful like the laundry room, gym room, office space. Pool area was consistently clean.

everyone was friendly. i checked in an hour early and a room was available. they accomodated my mom who could not handle walking all the way down the hallway to the original room they placed us in. thank you we appreciated it. the wifi can be slow at times. i love that the gym was always available (but we were too tired from running around already by the time we get back). they have a shuttle but i never had a chance to try. the ac was strong and thats always a plus especially with the weather getting hotter. it would be HOT outside and i would be like we either go to the water or to the hotel. love the lighting in the room. the pool was just the perfect temperature and made it hard for us to leave the pool. the free breakfast was delicious and there's a lot of parking available always. it's the perfect hotel to relax in and felt like a vacation or a staycation even. there was coffee always available and my family greatly enjoyed that.

The cleaning person didn’t changed the sheets. The next day ,they cleaned the room,but they didn’t vacuum the floor,the fridge was dirty inside upon arrival and they never collected the garbage in the room.Other than that everything was ok.

Everytime I passed the front desk I was always greeted with a smile and a good morning, noon, or night. I wish my stay was longer. Breakfast is severed daily with a nice variety. Breakfast includes vegetarian options. There is a shuttle which takes you to and from the beach daily which is wonderful if you dont have access to a vehicle. The rooms are clean and the property is very well maintained. The staff here is just incredible. I will definitely book again!

Had a wonderful stay and loved the shuttle service to the beach and area attractions. They even had a selection of beach chairs and umbrellas so we didn’t have to rent at the beach. Even though we rented a car, parking in St Pete and Treasure Island can be difficult and expensive so, the shuttle service really paid off. Great staff who had great recommendations for new visitors to the area. Breakfast was good with small variations each day. Rooms were modern with comfortable mattresses.

Stayed here for the weekend and it was excellent. Absolutely loved the free beach shuttle! The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful.

The location was perfect centered with a Walmart and a Texas road house right within walking steps across the parking lot …. They had free shuttle buses all places within 5 miles to the beach ,John’s pass boardwalk lots of bars shopping and restaurants… Would definately go back to this one

Couple of things, nothing crazy that could stop you from booking the hotel. I think they should pay more attention to cleaning the carpets in the rooms and hallways, as they feel and smell a bit damp. The breakfast has a basic menu, which is fine for me , but the taste was better on Saturday than on Sunday (that likely depends on who prepares it and easy to fix) Also, the shower floor becomes slippery when using the body wash. This is something to be careful about. Other than that, the stay was very good, and I would recommend the hotel. I would stay there again

I will be booking again. We had a great stay because the hotel was clean and quiet. We slept great for the 3 nights. Very appreciative of the hostess giving us some tips on what to do for activities. The breakfast was fresh and well presented. Nice selection for breakfast, everything was covered and hot. Absolutely will book again because of location along with price to overall quality. The hostess (Friday morning) who gave my wife the pointers for days events was well appreciated, she was spot on! Thanks again!!! Sunset cruise at John’s pass is a must!

Everything about our stay was perfect. Our room was extremely clean. The bed was comfy, we had a choice of two soft and two firm pillows on each bed. The entire property was quiet even when there were kids there. Every staff member we encountered was not only friendly, they were all personable and always offering help, even for small things like pushing the elevator button when my hands were full! Our three nights were perfect and we will definitely stay again!

I typically do not rate 5 starts but, this place was exceptional. They were super accommodating, even offering to give things like toothbrush and toothpaste if you forgot it. They have coffe all day, and a shuttle that takes you anywhere within 5 miles. The workers are very caring and helpful; my rental car battery died and they gave me a jump, saving me a $200 jump fee from turo. Best hotel in the area!!

Room was clean for the most part, but found a bug in the pillows. Pool and hot tub did their job. Woke up everyday looking forward to scrambled eggs at breakfast but they never had any when I went, even if it was over an hour before the buffet closed.

The property is immaculate! Didn’t matter time of day it was clean/well kept. The patio area was a great place to get some work done while getting fresh air. My room was wonderful and housekeeping did a great job keeping it up.

We enjoyed the whole experience staying here. The staff were very friendly and checked on us daily. The room was very clean, and plenty of space. The bathroom was spotless as well. Spent a lot of time at the pool/jacuzzi. Also very clean. And the breakfasts every day were great. They rotated types of options and they were all good. Love the fresh coffee that was available fresh 24/7. Highly recommend, and will stay here when we return to the area.

The hotel was located in nice area with Walmart and restaurants in same parking lot as hotel. Easy highway access, between Clearwater and St. Pete’s. Would definitely stay again. Didn’t utilize the pool or the free breakfast.

The stay was very good from the person checking us in to when we left 3 days later. The breakfast is very good.

Great location with a shuttle service within a 5-mile radius (beach, John’s Pass, Tyrone Mall, etc.), though we ended up driving instead. Breakfast was consistent each day and offered a solid variety, including yogurt, pancakes, French toast, omelets, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruit, bagels, and more. Would stay here again, but likely without a dog. While some nearby restaurants allow dogs on patios, many only accept service animals, and the unattended pet policy made dining options more limited.

Comfortable bed. Price was good but wish I would’ve spent a little extra to be closer to the beach.

The front desk help was rude. My husband called directly and asked if they had any rooms, and she said no! She iidentified herself as the night manager. My husband asked her if she knew any other places she could recommend and she named a few low level places like Super 8 and Days Inn. While my husband was talking to her, he relayed to me what she said when I returned to the car. I said that was odd, because I was just on expedia a little while ago and they had numerous choices of rooms.My husband repeated to her what I said, and then she said well, I have a one for 500. a night. So, I went online and booked a room at the same place for far less. When we arrived she was so rude and acted like we put her out to do her job She sighed heavily and told us to be quiet as we went to our room, perhaps we didn't realize that it was late at night. I never said a word and my husband only told her we had a reservation and his name. It was very unconfortable. Then housekeeping knocked on our door early the next morning! The only positive was the beds were comfortable and our room clean.

The hot tub was one of the hottest I’ve been in! It was nice after getting caught in a Florida night rain storm….. warmed us right up. Robert was a great shuttle driver and very personable.

I felt it was extreme to advertise the hotel as being pet friendly but to be required to take the pet with me every time I left the room which is what was presented upon check-in. We had this room booked for three nights but ended up checking out the following morning forvthat reason aince in most beaches dogs are not allowed. The staff member was friendly after I spoke to her and she gave me several other options for pet friendly areas where I could take the dog - it just did not seem as advertised to be a pet friendly hotel. Additionally there was a dirty sock left in the room from the former guest with potato chip crumbs and the jacuzzi was not in working. Breakfast was very good and well stocked.

I chose this hotel after walking out of another establishment due to their nickel and dime policies. My stay was pleasant. The room was plenty spacious, walking distance to Wal-Mart and restaurants, and had a 5 mile - courtesy van on the premises. I would definitely chose this hotel again when i come back to the area.

Very friendly staff and the hotel was very clean. Parking lot filled up at night and not all cars had parking passes so that was my only issue. Breakfast was very good.

Staff was very very helpful way before check-in. Called when I was headed to FL from NC. Had a late check in but they helped me. Room was clean and room service cleaned the rooms whenever I left and replaced towels and rags. Great stay if you are looking for somewhere affordable and clean!

Great stay with clean rooms.

I booked for two nights to fun consecutively but I did book each night separately. I was told by the front desk that they would keep me in the same room for both nights and not require me to move. Well I left some items in the room for safekeeping because I was going to the beach with family. I had gotten back to my room around 10pm and my key wouldn’t work. I went to the lobby to check and my room was given to someone else. The night manager said there wasn’t anything turned in from that room. I had an entire outfit, all my hygiene items and pocket items to include a stamped coin as a gift that I cannot get replaced. He eventually found the clothes but nothing else I had in the room. Worst experience ever at a hotel!!

The staff were extremely polite and Emily allowed us into our room early morning as it was ready when we arrived. Emily also kindly drove us to Johns Pass Village in the shuttle bus, she was great company 👍.

Probably one of the top three places I’ve stayed while traveling. The building was exceptionally clean, all on the staff I interacted with were engaged and eager to assist, Robert was accommodating and easy to communicate with, will be back for sure!

The staff were very friendly, the breakfast is basic but good, and the cleanliness is mostly good, but I don't understand why a sofa was left with pet hair and stains of unknown origin. Rooms that accept pets should be thoroughly cleaned, and the carpet should be washed and deodorized.

The room was fairly clean saw some crumbs on the couch; everything else was good. Nice pool and hot tub. The staff was very nice, especially Robert. He was very nice, great personality and provided memorable customer service.

The hotel itself it’s okay, clean enough and within a comfortable area to a few dining options. Now, the staff?! They absolutely hate their job. For some reason the pancake attendant just has the worse attitude and is so condescending when answering questions. She can’t be bothered. Y’all need to seriously consider having her removed from front face customer interaction. She was so rude to my teen child

The staff and the facility were excellent. Easy parking and everything was clean and well maintained! On this trip I was unable to spend much time there but at other stays. I was able to take advantage of the amenities and really liked them.

The only complaint I have about this Holiday Inn was that they were doing construction and it started at 9 a.m. We were on vacation and we would have liked to have slept in, but the noise was so loud that it woke us up pretty early. We did put a request in to get moved to a different room and they accommodated however you could still hear the construction. The staff was great and helpful and let us change out an hour later the 11 am checkout time

Our stay was exceptional. The Inn was very clean. Our room was large and the bed was comfortable with many pillows and a lovely comforter. The staff was friendly and Robert at checkin was a 10+. He followed up to ensure we had a good stay.

I stayed here for a weekend with my daughter and friends. Staff was helpful and responsive, and the location is central to a lot of area attractions. I used the hot tub and pool which were in great condition, and didn’t have any issues the entire time.

The perfect hotel for our stay! Clean rooms with super comfy beds, and the front desk team - especially Robert & Emily - were superstars. Great breakfast with healthy options, too! There was safe, plentiful parking and a Walmart right there. 10/10!

Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a good variety of items to choose from. Would be nice if the gravy wasn't so watered down, and the sausage was a little browner. Doesn't look cooked. But otherwise,very good.

This hotel is everything and much more than we expected. Property is extremly well managed, very clean and so welcoming. Staff is professional, yet welcoming and friendly, we felt like home. Robert fro. The front desk went above and beyond to make sure we felt great and had anything we needed during our stay. We originally booked 3 nights but decided to extend our stay for 2 extra nights just because of the way we were treated by staff.

Had a pleasant experience staying here during a work trip. It was clean and staff was friendly. My co-worker experienced some loud neighbors in the middle of the night, but overall, it was pleasant.

The young lady at the front desk was the most amazing front desk, clerk with encountered in a very, very, very long time she needs to be rewarded for not only taking care of us, but the way she took care of other guests as well. The lady has checked us in pretty late last night around 10:30 or so and then in addition to that so happens that she was there again this morning and she was smiling like if you just saw us again a few hours prior people like this should be very well highlighted, and how Customer Service should be really performed

nice clean hotel, perfect lobby for lounging. Room was very clean…. only recommendation is we noticed some mold at the bottom corner of the shower… just need a little spray of bleach! overall excellent stay

A lovely hotel. Good water pressure for the shower. The pool & spa were great. Only downside was that we were not made aware that there was a shuttle available to take us to the beach. And since we didn't want to try to find a beach, we missed out. 😮‍💨

Close enough to everything, but remains very quiet. Nice pool and spa that stay open late. Coffee maker in the lobby grinds and brews on the spot and is available around the clock.

Loved the breakfast option. The bed was very comfy and the area surrounding was convenient yet quiet.

This hotel was excellent in all aspects ! I always look for a Holiday Inn Express on my trips because they never disappoint ! Always very good to excellent.

I was really looking forward to a relaxing stay, but the hotel lobby constantly had people wandering in to sell trading cards and collectibles. It felt chaotic and unprofessional. I expected a quiet, upscale environment—not a pop-up trading event. Not sure why management allows this, but it definitely takes away from the experience.

The staff were wonderful, most especially the gentleman that checked us in with glasses, a bit chubby and some beard. Also the receptionist, the lady working in the morning, we think the name was Emily, was also wonderful. I would certainly recommend this hotel to other travellers. Bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Very nice breakfast options were offered in the comfortable lobby each morning- especially appreciated the fresh fruit. Outdoor pool area was a nice perk, as are the sitting areas with fire tables. Convenient location - Walkable to Walmart, Texas Roadhouse and other good places. Hotel shuttle rides are offered at no charge for local trips.

We loved how convenient to shopping and restaurants. Didn’t like breakfast hours should be extended until 10 am not 9:30 also the shuttle bus was broken so that was an inconvenience cause we have to use hour vehicle and paid for parking.

Impeccably clean hotel with comfortable beds, spotless bathrooms, and fresh carpets. Great breakfast variety, friendly and attentive staff, and a perfect location—Walmart across the street, restaurants all around, and the beach just 6 minutes away. Loved the free shuttle service! Only minor downside: heavy rain during our stay and satellite TV froze during storms. Still, absolutely worth returning and recommending! Julissa and Niove

Hands down a great experience, staff was great, food services too, the overall condition of the hotel was wonderful. Beds.....not so comfortable otherwise our stay was enjoyable and I plan to book in 2 months on my next visit! I liked the location and ease of restaurant choices within a few blocks plus a Wal-Mart on site.

Perfect for our purpose. We were planning a weekend trip to the area, but not planning to be in the room much. We wanted to save our budget for other things, but still wanted to be comfortable. So, price was a big factor, as was location. This had both. Reasonable price and 5 minutes from the beach. The room was exceptional. Clean, modern styling, comfortable bedding. Temperature controls and all lighting and plumbing, worked great, like new. Thoughtful design with additional mirror, shelf, outlet outside the bathroom; great for a family taking turns in the bathroom. Breakfast was incuded and delicious, and best of all, every staff member was professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant. Smooth transaction and great stay! Would definitely go back!
