We only stayed one night, but it had everything we were looking for: we arrived relatively late so we could bring a little something to eat in the room for dinner, then had a good breakfast in the morning in an attractive breakfast room.

The staff members I had interacted with were very kind and helpful. The property was clean and amenities were excellent.

The breakfast options were limited and not very good. The property had too many people loitering around the parking lot area who were either high or loud. The room next to us had loud people and music playing from 430am to 6am during our checkout morning.

This is our 2nd time staying here. Once before the renovation and now this once after. We Love this Sonesta. The property is always clean and so are the rooms. The staff is very friendly and wonderful to talk to and they have so many amenities. The lobby is large and has a variety of seating and 2 very nice bathrooms. The breakfast has options but I recommend getting there early for the most variety. My only concern was the lack of gluten-free options. Only white steamed rice,yogurt and some fruit. A gluten-free bread would go a long way in filling that out. Thankfully you have a full sized refrigerator in room as well as a microwave and small cook top. If you don't or can't bring food there are several grocery stores nearby. Our family really enjoys having dinner together in our room at the 4 person table,it's a lovely way to end a packed vacation day. The separate bedrooms with bathrooms are wonderful for families or friends staying together. Honestly this place is packed with amenities in room and on property. There's a outdoor BBQ area, pool, hot tub, pond, firepit with seating, basketball court,and outdoor games. Just book this place!

Awesome floor plans! We felt the beds were to stiff. We slept terribly. But some people like really firm mattresses. The breakfast could be better for sure. But the staff was so friendly and so helpful. It was clean and well kept. The elevator was SLOW. Like wow slow but not a big deal. The grounds were gorgeous. We will be back next year for sure. We would just ask for a topper for the mattresses.

Outdoor swimming pool though didn't get to use as weather bad. Breakfast was great. Staff friendly and helpful. I sent a message to arrange a shuttle bus day before and no reply. When I got to the airport shuttle bus area no one heard of the hotel. I asked services to call hotel to request the bus but they dont do pick ups after 8pm. My flight had been delayed so after after 12 hours sitting on a plane and the time at home being what would have been 5am I was exhausted so had to pay $50 for a taxi. I thought I wasn't going to pay as it says on booking.com there's a free shuttle. I booked my shuttle bus for the next day back to airport with no problem though. Loud air conditioning in room that came on intermittently.

I absolutely love how friendly the staff are. And the rooms are so nice with kitchenettes in every room! The breakfast is good and has amazing coffee. The only complaint I have is that the breakfast ends at 9AM and as a traveler, Id like to be able to sleep in a bit before breakfast. Theyre the only hotel ive been to that doesnt keep breakfast open until 11 which would be much better. Otherwise its a great place to stay!

Otherwise, every bed was comfortable even the pullout couch. The staff was kind, courteous and respectful, and the management team was on top of everything.

Overall, we had an amazing stay. This property is under recognizing and underrated, which is fine by me because it means it is available, but it says reserve credit for maintenance, beautification, a decent breakfast, and amazing rooms with space to spread out. I really enjoy your stay when you’re visiting Vancouver or Portland.

This room was for my mother-in-law and a friend and they absolutely enjoyed every minute of their stay. The staff was courteous and kind and the room was exactly what they needed.

Front desk staff left much to be desired. Check in was OK, but could have been friendly. When I went to report issues in my room and in my mom’s room they seemed less than helpful. Maintenance came to my room promptly to correct the issue I reported then without anyone saying anything to me the hotel charged me $30. I learned later when I called to ask about the charge they were accusing me of damaging property, promised to reverse the charge after lecturing me (wow!), and never reversed the charge. With my mom’s room, the TV and lights didn’t work and the middle of the bed was soaked. The bed dried by the morning, after my mom laid an extra blanket on the sheet so she could sleep. Maintenance came the next day and found the TV was left unplugged and corrected her lights too. Breakfast was free, they have a pancake machine (that undercooks the pancakes) and the coffee is gross, but the sausage was cooked properly. Bottom line, the idea of the property is great. In practice, housekeeping probably needs a checklist to ensure everything functions properly between guests. For your sake, don’t try to fix anything yourself (just report it and hope they’ll get to it) or you may find a mystery charge on your credit card. And don’t expect much of a personality from the front desk.

Very clean, comfortable, and friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was great every morning. Plenty of quiet spaces when you need to work and nice outside space for kids to get energy out. We stayed for a week and it felt like home.

Very convenient. Everything was clean and good condition. Feels like you are at home. Breakfast is tasty and good. Price is decent. it has pool and basketball court etc. 5 out of 5.

Due to our schedule and short stay, we didn't try the breakfast, but were impressed with the cleanliness and layout of the breakfast area. Our room was sparkling clean and surfaces were uncluttered. The full kitchen (minus oven) is a convenient and welcome amenity for those who like to make their own meals.

Wow! This place is literally spotless! Friendly staff, clean, new, spacious and a great breakfast! Our room was a full studio condo with full kitchen even though we were just there one night. Absolutely recommend to anyone!

The suite was wonderfully appointed. The bedding was so soft and very comfortable. Loved having a small kitchen. The staff was very accommodating, especially Colleen the front desk manager. She was a pleasure to deal with and was always smiling and very helpful.

New clerk at the counter had some trouble with the computer. Nice suite size overall, but like most places it lacked furniture for two suitcases to be open at the same time. Like, hello, how about two suitcase folding chairs?

The hotel is modern, clean and in a convenient location. The staff were attentive and helpful. We stayed on the ground floor and it was rather noisy due to some partiers near the pool. The walls are rather thin however the staff did successfully calm the revelers.

Room was good size, as was bathroom and suite portion; wish it had a decent shower head (plenty of pressure but spray was needle-like). Fitness area was good; equipped well for the small space, but temp was too cold and thermostat not working. Breakfast was constantly replenished, a lot of variety, and staff was awesome ... especially the Mon-Fri lady! All said, will stay again when in the area.

There's also no daily maid service. Which sucks if you eat in your room and have garbage or food scraps. Pool was closed but hot tub was nice. Room was good but too hot. 78 when we got there. Set ac to 65 and it took until the next day to get down to 70. Breakfast was the worst. Pancake machine that was empty, they refilled it and it spits out gelatinous blobs of pancake like things. Rest of the breakfast was white rice, some sort of ground meat, some sort of egg looking thing. There was toast and bagels and cereal available. No wonder I saw a lady eating a Wendy's breakfast. Overall the hotel is nice, in a safe area, quiet and was a decent price. I don't get all the 5 star reviews though. Its a solid 3.5 to 4 if you know about it short falls.

Oh my!! The customer service was top notch Both Carol & Colleen were extremely nice, sincere, met all of our expectations. The amenitites of the property were fantastic. These ladies went above & beyond and exceeded our expectations.We were extremely surprised in the differnce we experienced. They were on top of everything.

As a Hotels.com VIP I received free parking ($5 per night for others - I'm not sure why since it is a private parking lot) but had to return to my car to put a parking pass there AFTER I had come in from the rain with all my bags -- quite a bothersome and unwanted task. They could've asked for my license plate number and recorded it.

My room was so cute! And for the price? An incredible deal. I only stayed one night but I will absolutely be coming back here for another staycation. So much room and the kitchenette was pretty well stoked with dishes and things you might need.

Passed our cleaning checked, not dust on areas you normally don't expect to clean. Suite was nicely updated matching the hotel value, with exception of the refrigerator but it does its job. Bed was fairly comfortable, other than that, we were on the 3rd floor and got a bit warm but AC worked fine.

It was a wonderful room and the staff was super nice. We had checked in super late and the lady at the front desk was very accommodating and personable. We tried the breakfast and unfortunately the pancake maker wasn’t working, BUT surprisingly they had steamed white rice, soy sauce, and other Asian seasonings to go with the breakfast options. They also had fresh tomatoes, cheese, and green onions. After days of being on the road, this was a nice surprise to the usual breakfast options. Thank you!!!

Clean rooms & properly, plenty of space for working, and board games & outdoor court for the kids when they get board. The mall is about a 20 minute walk with plenty of shopping. Free breakfast is a great perk too!

This is a wonderful property, especially for larger groups. We needed multiple beds for our group and they offer a room with 3 separate beds in 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. It is large and spacious and very close to a lot of dining and shopping. The room and common areas were all very clean and nicely furnished. I highly recommend this property!

I reserved a 2 bedroom suite as it was a family weekend and we want to room together. They gave my suite to someone else andcwe were forced to stsy in separate rooms. Not happy at all.

There needs to be some sort of sound proofing between the hallway and rooms though, because it is ridiculously loud when people are coming and going. There was also some sort of obnoxious knocking on my final night, which kept me awake for an hour. I had to check out really early, and even though i was told the front desk was staffed 24/7, i had to wait 15 minutes before anyone noticed me so i could check out.

The staff was super friendly and the bed was probably the best hotel bed I’ve slept in for a while. Definitely will stay there again when in Vancouver!

We loved our stay at Sonesta. We had a 2 bedroom/2 bath. It was clean, with beautiful furniture and the mattresses were also good.

Sonesta ES Suites by the Vancouver Mall has wonderful, well laid out rooms with most of the conveniences of home, at an attractive price point. The property has been recently renovated so our rooms were fresh and inviting. I like properties that have a refrigerator with a freezer unit that allows me to refreeze ice packs to keep our chill food in good shape on a road trip. Staff were uniformly outstanding.

I was not able to check in and could not get an actual person with Expedia so I never actually checked in for my stay at Sonesta. The front desk people were no help whatsoever because I booked through Expedia and not directly through Sonesta so I was screwed both ways. I will never book through Expedia again nor ever stay at a Sonesta hotel/motel.

My check in experience was the best customer service with excellent. They treated me with kind and respect. This will be me hotel to stay when I travel this hotel deserves more than 5 stars. I forgot the young lady’s name she checked me in on November 7th around 4 she was the best. Checking out was also very nice.

I was not happy with my reservation. I reserved a King one bedroom suite 6 weeks before my stay. I had a confirmation that that room was reserved. when I got my room it was a standard Queen room. Someone changed the type of room from King One Bedroom Suite to the Queen room. The reason you make a reservation is so you know what your getting

The second room was much better until I looked in the toilet and saw mold or something else that's black under the rim, which was fully visible from my bedroom so I'm not sure how the cleaner would have missed it. There was also long hair on the back of my toilet, and I'm bald.

I booked a King One Bedroom Suite and I had to pay upfront for 2nts and no changes or cancelations aloud.They gave me a stander Queen room instead.I have problems sleeping in a Queen Bed so I always book a King Bed. they must not what a reservation is and why it's made.

That said, I do have two small concerns. First, the room was advertised as having a king-size bed, but we were given a queen instead. Second, I wasn’t informed at check-in about the $5/day parking fee, which was charged separately despite Expedia stating that all taxes and fees were included. Overall, a comfortable stay with a few details that could be improved for better transparency.

Breakfast area was very clean, and the attendant was constantly cleaning and keeping it well stocked! Great experience.

They charged me to money from my card to pay for the room when prior to arriving i paid through Expedia but since they took my card info for incedentals they used my info and took more money for the room which i did not authorize. I still haven't recited a refund or my deposit back.

I had a hard time with 1am-3am noise from the room above but after mentioning to front desk it stopped. I was surprised with oboe practice on one side and a dog barking on the other the next morning. That was short lived. I would like them to offer gluten free muffin for breakfast. Glad they had almond milk as well. It was a pleasant stay other than the noise issues. I was not expecting to pay for parking although the charge was minimal $5 per day.

The front desk staff (Kelli) was fabulous. She went above and beyond to accommodate the nice quiet room! Everything is very conveniently located and the place is nicely updated. Highly recommend this place!

The managers were flown out from DC to support the staffing. Although they were not knowledgeable of the local venues and vendors they provided a list of loxals that I could dine at which was helpful.

The pillow cases had stains , there is smell when you enter the room it needs air freshner,the heater was not working .

The only thing I can say is that the property and rooms are pumped full of fragrance (I did not see the rooms, desk clerk said rooms smelled as strong as lobby), so if you are sensitive or allergic to fragrance like I am don't book with them. The listing should state clearly that the entire property smells strongly of fragrance.

This is a newer property and is very clean and comfortable. The only issue that I had was at check in after first getting our room and the toilet almost went all over the floor as it was clogged. Outside of this episode it was a good stay and would recommend to others.

This was our third time staying here. We loved every the friendly and professional staff. Loved z was awesome! She helped us in June 2025 and again in September 2025. She went above and beyond to help our stays.

I stay was fair. I was told that the rooms had just been updated. That everything was brand new. The carpets were great and beds but the bathroom was not my favorite. Mold inside the caulk. The bathroom for sure wasn’t updated. The room was dirty. Hair, blood on the door, probably not vacuumed because there were several things on it including a plastic little cap off a deodorant. The service was meh and the breakfast was meh. When we went an hour before breakfast closed there was nothing to eat except cereal. All hot food items were gone. They had one person working the kitchen and couldn’t keep up. I would say I would not stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

Very clean, friendly staff, easy check in and out. Only bad mark is the breakfast was not all that but that’s not why I stayed there.

Location was quiet, yet convenient to highway and local shopping. Nicely remodeled, loved the kitchen that included multi function convection/ microwave oven and apartment sized refrigerator. Beds were clean and comfortable, nice desk area and updated multi function outlets for all your electronic needs. The breakfast was good but the meat protein offerings were spicy, not to my taste, and no alternative. I had a dual queen suite and my only issue was the sink area for getting ready was open to the bedroom. Which means everyone stays on the same schedule, no late sleepers. Otherwise a great stay.

Pool was closed for no apparent reason and no discount was offered. Couldn't get the TV to work. Otherwise a nice stay.

Super friendly staff. Breakfast was a bit limited, but overall okay. The room was very clean and comfortable. The only criticism is the pillows: foam pillows so you feel like your head is about to be launched into space. Highly recommended.

Excellent as always. Whenever I'm in Vancouver I stay here. Great breakfast too! Very helpful stakk, room always clean and in order.

We enjoyed our stay in the 1 bedroom suite. Loved the outdoor area with the patio tables, fire pit, bbq area, corn hole, pool, hot tub etc. It was so nice to sit out there and play a round of cards in the evening. It felt like home.

Very helpful and understanding staff. Finally a place with hospitality! Newly renovated suites look great! Suites are perfect for larger families or groups traveling together but still very spacious for all.

There was a mess up with our room the first night. I've visited other hotels that don't try to help if you got the room through a discount retailer, but Liz made it right. Stay was wonderful too. Nice room and breakfast was great.

I've stayed there twice in 2 weeks and enjoyed both times however, one is on the top floor and very quiet. The other was on the bottom floor close to the stairwell, which had some noise. With the renovatuin, it's very clean. The pool and hot tub are a nice touch..

Extremely comfortable stay. Clean and well stocked kitchen. The personnel are very accommodating. Only complaint is the slow elevator.

Very clean facility with spacious rooms

My stay was good. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was fairly good with a variety of options. It was nice that it was not the same hot foods every morning. Everything was clean. Location was good for walking to dining options, less than a mile to multiple fast food and restaurants, including the mall.

I hadn’t even heard of this Hotel, returning to my Hometown for a reunion with Family and Friends, this looked like the best option online. The place is just as pictured. We had an amazing time, cozy suite, excellent customer service. Thanks!

Very nice amenities and centrally located for my trip.

Having 2 bed rooms and 2 bathrooms was perfect for my family especially when it only advised 1 bathroom.

Wonderful stay, my daughter and I stayed for the week and had everything we needed. Pool was great, clean room and hotel and staff was very friendly.

Was clean and well maintained. Checkin was quick. They don’t allow late checkouts but won’t actually tell you that directly which I didn’t appreciate.

I thought this was the average or expected level for the price paid. Nothing negative to report. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Great location, near airport and Portland. Easy to get around to go sightseeing or hiking. Staff was good and provided anything additional needed.

The Continental breakfast was minimal. To bacon, sausage or any meat offered. The scrambled eggs that were offered must have been powdered eggs. They were the worst I have ever eaten and did not even finish them, actually had a couple of bites and gave up. They had bagels but no toaster available. This place has ranked in my number one as worst breakfast offerings of all the places I have been and I have been to many.

The staff was pleasant and helpful. After fighting traffic for 1.5 hrs our room was a welcome oasis.

Nice and as advertised

We loved this hotel! Very spacious rooms with everything you need. Breakfast was 9/10 because they had so many options, clean area, organized. Only thing that could do better is coffee quality!

Will definitely stay there again!

Amber was nice, friendly and respectful. All other staff in the breakfast room and at the checkout showed the same behavior towards us. We didn’t get a chance to encounter the other staff. My husband and I will use your facility again in the future when we’re in the area. Thanks and May God bless all of you!

Had to take a quick trip to PNW. Will DEFINITELY stay here again.. the friendliest gentleman who checked us in, the hotel is either recently built or recently renovated.. very new and modern and SMELLS SOOOO GOOD! The breakfast had a large variety and fresh food constantly being brought out. The room was exceptionally clean and beds were very comfortable. 10/10

I’ve found my home away from home. My room was simply amazing.

Easy check in. The suite was very nice with all of the amenities and great AC. The breakfast was fantastic with a lot of good options.

Pool and basket ball court very nice

This property has undergone a recent update - the room furnishings were new and generally comfortable. The only issue I experienced was the HVAC and control system are dated and did not work well to cool the room… cooling worked but the unit was quite loud and ran continuously to maintain 68f.

The housekeeper person was not friendly when I asked her about housekeeping service. We were staying for 3 nights but did not know that no service unless 7 days stayed. The person made a face which made me feel a little uncomfortable.

The hotel was awesome! Very new, everything updated. The water pressure in the shower was 12/10!!! The only frustration was getting the TV in the living area to work - I am not a fan of Direct TV. The TV in the bedroom worked fine. Free breakfast had lots of choices - thank you!
