The front desk clerk was friendly and check-in went smoothly. The room was quite dirty. There were clumps of long dark hair in the shower, around the toilet, in the sink, and even on in the inside of the bedding. The carpet clearly had not been vacuumed in a long time. I didn't have socks, just sandals with me, and I had to eventually put my sandals on because there was so much debris sticking to my feet from the carpet. There were also fingerprints and grease all over the desk/counter area. Lastly, there were dogs in the room next to us and the room next to them. Any time we opened/closed our door or made a peep, the dog next to us would bark loudly.

Room needs to be better cleaned

The whole hotel smelled like smoke and was not clean, and it needs a remodel. I was surprised this was Sonesta because other locations do not look like this or smell like it.
- 0.5/5
The staff was not very accommodating at all. The bathtubs were extremely slippery as there were no mats or rubber strips on the bottom of the tub. I am a 71-year-old woman, and on the last day I slipped and fell in the tub and hurt my knee and my rib. The manager Rafael told me he would credit me two nights and never did. I would hope if this happened to his mother or grandmother; someone would be more accommodating and empathetic. It’s been three weeks and I am still so sore.

The Sonesta Simply Suites is conveniently located, close to Interstate, within 10 minute drive to downtown Naperville, and multiple retail centers. I was especially pleased with the hotel being clean and affordable. Valerie B

We arrived and were told the rooms are only cleaned every two weeks. This is an extended stay property. No toilet tissue or paper towels in room. Dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Closet, but no clothes hangers. Ironing board, no iron. Large yellow spot on sheet. Very little soap, shampoo and conditioner. No way to contact management. We were told the manager would contact us at 8 in the morning- we left at 8:30, no contact with management at all.

The hotel is practising fraud, my credit card was charged extra $64.64 and no explanation to why. I have called the hotel more 20 times no response, no one is picking but each time when i chose the option for new booking someone is picking. Booking.com could not get hold off the hotel either. Don't leave your card details for the security deposit that how i get charged for nothing. Also The air conditioning in the first room i was in was not working then i was change to i dirty room that i had to clean the bathroom myself. avoid them. Fraudsters, i would have gone back there to collect my money if i was living in chicago. Fraudsters. The mattress is just spring, very bad. Body ache everyday. Also no cleaning service for the first 14days.

For the price, this is a good hotel. Clean, quiet, comfortable beds. We stayed 4 nights and had two rooms for a visit with family. One room had a shower that wouldn’t work without some encouragement (at the desk they said maintenance comes during the week— we checked in on a Friday). The other room had a run-on toilet unless you jiggled the handle. Neither is a deal breaker. Kitchens not well appointed (pepper, no salt; no pans in one room), but again, nothing we couldn’t work around, just be prepared. Overall good experience and excellent price.

I travel for work constantly and havent had to many worse expierences at a hotel than this. Between how dirty the rooms were and how bad the staff was I definitely will not be staying here again. The only silverware in the room was a spoon with burn marks inderbeath and a white substance caked on it. Obviously a drug spoon that they left in the room. They have no controller for your tv and will not clean your room if you stay there less than 2 weeks, or pick up your trash or give you bags for trash or clean towels or any true amenities you get at other hotels. Please stay way from this disgusting place.
- 1/5
terrible we had to ask for a refund.
- 3/5
It's a good basic hotel but has two major setbacks: if you arrive after 11pm (as I did), their policy is that you have to call a staff member from the lobby and wait for them to arrive - not something I'd consider acceptable for any hotel. And they don't offer any breakfast, nada, nothing. Not sure who made these decisions, but both of these are basically cost of doing business if you run the hotel. On the upside, the room was clean and spacious (albeit dated) and the staff member who did check me in was super nice.

THIS HOTEL WAS NICE YEARS AGO , NOW NOT SO MUCH !! THE FRONT DESK STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL... THE MANAGER HAS A BAD ATTITUDE AND SUGGESTED I LEAVE WITH MY KIDS AT ONE O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING.. HE'S EXACT WORDS THERE'S PLENTY OF HOTELS IN THE AREA, YOU COULD LEAVE . PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH THE TIME OR MONEY... !!!! THANKS FOR THE ADVICE RALPH I'LL NEVER COME BACK, YOU'RE RIGHT THERE'S BETTER HOTELS IN THE AREA.

My room wasnt cleaned for 2 months despite repeated requests. Staff kept giving excuses about shortage in housekeeping, while others room were receiving housekeeping services. I finally had to change rooms wasting time moving all my stuff.
- 3/5
Bathroom shelves were dirty Bathroom tub had a black/ dirt ring around it. Refrigerator door was broken Bed sheets were thin and full of itchy pills When checking out, i asked for receipt. Since I booked thru hotels.com, i was told connecting system was down, so I couldn't get receipt. Asked for close approximate of bill total and was given an amount of $155 including taxes and any fees. When i received my email receipt, it was $197! I did get reservation coverage for $10.74, so my bill should have been $155 + $10.74= $165 Not $197.
- 5/5
It was very clean and welcome place
- 1/5
It's been more than 1.5 months of stay in the same room. And they still aren't ready to get my room cleaned despite multiple requests. Their policy states that guests can get their rooms cleaned every 14 days

We never checked in because we had a family emergency with a death in the family. We asked for the remainder of stay minus the first night to be canceled but Expedia said the property management was unresponsive to the request. Direct request was made by us to hotel and they kept telling us to go back to Expedia to ask for the refund. They got paid for us never staying there. The hotel never even check with us on what happened.

The rooms areound us had people making noise constantly. They randomly charged me for parking 2 days later without informaing me. Also, it is a regular parking lot in a suburb - with a bunch of broken down cars in it. I was never informed about this charge. I just saw it on my card two days later. This should be illegal.

The only redeeming quality of this hotel was the front desk. If it wasn't for them, we would have asked for our money back. Upon check-in, the system was not working properly so it took almost 20min to check in (again, the staff was very kind and apologetic so we were not upset with them). The building itself had a very strong perfume odor, which was almost nauseating. Our room smelled as well. Our ice machine was broken. Upon entering our room, I noticed the toilet had not been flushed making us wonder if the room had been cleaned at all. Our second night we ended up having roaches on our counter which was disgusting!!!! I would have switched rooms but it was late and we just wanted to sleep and get out as fast as we could. Again, the staff was kind but we will never stay here again. It was VERY disappointing. And having to pay for parking while they have an entire parking lot is ridiculous

Was a bit let down staying at this location. It felt dated and sleepy. The front entrance had a cheap smelling fake fragrance as soon as you walked in. Bathroom in room had multiple hairs in the shower/tub and on the shampoo bottles which made everything feel dirty. Kitchen area had obvious water damage on the floor that had been long ignored. They also did not allow any control over the room temperature. The thermostat was locked and didn’t even show a reading when looking at it. The air simply came on and off every so often. Wouldn’t stay here again based off these items.
- 5/5
Nice
- 4/5
That said, there are a few areas that could be improved: 1. Fitness Center – The gym equipment really needs an upgrade. The treadmills were loud and outdated, while the stair-master, stationary bikes, and elliptical were all out of order. 2. Luggage Carts – There simply weren’t enough available. Most of the time they were in use, and with my room located a good distance away, this made moving luggage inconvenient. 3. Snack & Drink Options – The selection was very limited and rarely stocked, which was disappointing. Overall, the service and cleanliness made the stay pleasant, but the amenities could use some serious attention to bring the experience up to a higher standard.
- 4/5
My stay was fine
- 4/5
Nice stay ! Staff excellent! Rooms need a little up dating. Wasclean comfortable
- 2/5
It appeared to be a residence hotel, with permanent tenants. Cooking, garlic potato frying smells permeated the hall. Room and hall were dark. Poor lighting in bed for reading. No bedside table on one side for keys, wallet, and phone. Fire truck came in the middle of fhe night and almost had to evacuate.. cooking smells triggered alarm? Never again.

There was a dirty face towel hanging on shower curtain, trash on top of cabinet in bathroom. Other than that it was ok, don’t like that the room hardly has any thing in there, and no ice machine, elevator not that convenient. No drive up as well. Will probably never stay at this particular Sonesta because of the location and lack of amenities

They charge you for parking on an open lot. Ridiculous.

Beds were not comfortable. The toilet ran on and off the whole time. I called for extra blankets had to go them myself because the person forgot.

I reserved this hotel without knowing the Chicago area. Id been told Naperville was a pretty decent area, so because ot was one of the less expensive in rhe area, I booked. I did not realize that its one of those hotels that local people live in for extended periods of time. It was older but they seem to do what they can to keep it clean. I sucked it up and stayed and the people working there were nice. If you just need an inexpensive, no frills, lobby, daily maid service, etc you will be ok fir a couple of days. Its still in a decent area and felt pretty safe.
- 4/5
No food prepared on site. Snacks available at front desk.

- 5/5
Victoria deserves a high merit award for her amazing customer service. My suite was quiet, clean and cozy, I felt like I was home. I highly recommend this hotel for all affairs short or long stays. Will be looking forward to staying here again.

Window on first floor not secure from alley and unlocked. Very loud noise from hallway. Water said to be unavailable 9am to 6pm.
- 2/5
Instead of a 2 bed, suite the only available accommodation was to serve for a one queen bed. There was no breakfast available. I was very disappointed in this place
- 4/5
Nice room and hotel. Gym had what we needed also. Would stay again
- 5/5
The room was clean and large. The front desk was very friendly and accommodating to our needs.
- 1/5
Next room was just soso an smelled of marijuana
- 3/5
Nice staff and convenient location. Smells in room, including cooking odors. Some noise. They charge you $5.30 per day for parking, which is not shown on Hotels.com or on their own web site. I was not told about this when I checked. No other hotel Naperville/Warrenville has ever charged me for parking.
- 4/5
Furniture in room was in poor condition. Chairs with worn upholstery. Headboard damaged.
- 3/5
The area for this hotel is nice and quiet. The staff seemed nice and were helpful. But the suite could have been cleaned better. My sheets were dirty
- 3/5
Beds are good, convenient location, nice staff. Can be noisy. Lots of smells, including cooking from other units. Towels will not dry out,but desk will provide clean towels. Laundry now requires that you download an app and put money on an account in order to use washers and dryers. Seems cumbersome to us, so we just waited until our next hotel that had a fast coin op machine, for less than half the cost of Sonesta laundry. Desk told us after the fact there is a $5.30 daily charge for parking, which I did not find anywhere when booking. No other hotel in this area has ever charged us for park8ng.
- 5/5
Great staff and settings
- 5/5
I travel all the time for work and we travel often for pleasure, and I have to say that this was the best amenities for an affordable price that I have ever encountered.
- 3/5
Dated and room smelled like smoke as well as ventilation system pulling in smoke smells from other rooms.
- 3/5
The property seems tired and not well maintained. We received no housekeeping services while we were there for three days. Front desk staff was often absent. Many rules seemed designed for protection such as no public restroom in the lobby area — which inconvenience guests who are staying there. There are many other better options in this safe suburban area; we will choose another next time.
- 5/5
It was nice and comfortable. Allowed pets so that was nice. There was a few pink stains on the bathroom counters and carpet but other than that it was clean and comfortable!

Very nice place
- 4/5
Over all very good, our only issue was noisy guests above us at 3am.
- 2/5
Sonesta Suites was one of the less expensive options and you get what you pay for. The grounds were neglected with overgrown plants, the smell in the hallways was offensive, and the gym was not well maintained (elliptical did not work and 15 lb weights missing). Our room was worn and the bathroom tile was broken and floor around the toilet was caving in. The beds were clean and comfortable but the overall condition of the Suites made it difficult to relax. We would not recommend.

The front desk staff were very nice and professional.

I booked online. I arrived and was told you had no availability. I will be disputing the charge
- 4/5
The room was spacious and clean. Loved the full-size recliner!! Didn't really have any cleaning service to speak of but no worries, as I'm capable to throw out my own garbage, get new towels and get TP and kleenex at the front desk. Although, many at the front desk spent a lot of time out-front smoking and on-break. The parking lot, needs resurfacing..although the $5/day fee may be raised to cover the cost? I'd probably come back as it's close to many things I like and the cost is fair.
- 5/5
It was ok my stove didn’t work but die the mist part it was nice

Clean, fairly quiet. Room was nice, not really what you see in the pics, but close. I would stay again.

- 1/5
Went in the bathroom… roach on the wall. I posted the pics on my google review. Then went to the bed… spider on the wall next to the bed. There was dried up vomit in the hallway the whole time I was there. I know the staff saw it because I saw her at the end of the hallway changing a garbage bag. And her only way back to the main area was to walk right past it. When I approached her and told her about the roaches, she told me that the Orkin man was just there to spray. Which tells me that they are aware of the issue. The place was just disgustingly dirty. Please do not stay here. I do not know how corporate has not shut this place down yet. The prices are decent but for an extra $30 you can go sleep peacefully in the Hyatt up the street.
- 5/5
It was great nice and spacious
- 1/5
This cleanliness of this property was very poor. There was hair all over the ceiling in the bathrooms. Hair in the bed when my wife and I first arrived, the hallways had a bad smell, and very sketchy characters hanging around it and the staff was not present at the front desk more than half the time. Anyone could walk in without consequence. I would not recommend this place to anyone. DO NOT BOOK!
- 1/5
They overbooked, I prepaid, they had no room and refuse to give a refund. They are thieves!!! Unprofessional, never recommend!!!
- 5/5
I highly recommend This hotel .
- 4/5
IT'S a nice and quiet place. Pet friendly,. It is a mini suite, with stove, Refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, laundry area, workout room, dishes and more. No free breakfast. The down size it needs air freshener. Otherwise its a quier getaway.
- 2/5
Upon arrival a very rude employee greeted me with “I can’t check you in right now our system is down” and after asking her a few questions she refused to help me and literally walked away. Another very nice employee stepped in and had no problem checking me in. So tell me why one could help and the other refused. She has no business doing that job with her attitude.
- 2/5
No breakfast available; room service limited to every 7 days. Limited snacks.
- 5/5
It was our first time staying at a Sonesta hotel and we really liked it. Our stay was pleasant. The staff at the front desk was kind and friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Would definitely stay there again. Would definitely recommend this place.
- 4/5
Clean and noisy , machines within the hotel were loud on and off every few minutes. The entire place smelled funny and the refrigerator smelled like old spoiled ranch dressing.
- 4/5
Overall good hotel, however the landscaping made the hotel look unkept .
- 3/5
Ok
- 1/5
Front desk was super rude room was dirty. The carpet was ripped up. The cabinets was off the hinges. The furniture was two different colors. The pullout mattress was old.
- 1/5
The entry way of the hotel is small and un inviting. There was a pair of sock left from the previous people in the bathroom bottom drawer. The cleanliness behind the bed was not good. And look like there was dried of rose petals behind bed on floor. Caution staying here especially if you don’t want to bring any critters home I took pictures .. but did not want to post because they are not pleasant. I also asked front desk if cars were safe in parking lot and if they had surveillance and she said not in the parking lot (hmmm)
- 1/5
It was really bad front desk was super rude room was dirty carpet was rip up funture was old rip up different colors cabinets was off broke
- 1/5
I stayed in one of the suites from this property and I was sadly disappointed with the conditions of the room. Upon arrival, I noticed a device that emits a smoke/vapor in the middle of the room. There was a strange smell coming from the room I was staying at and I assumed that device was just standard for their rooms but I lef it alone. I quickly went to a convience store down the road and bought an air freshner for the room because I couldnt bare the weird scent any longer. The hotel itself looks pretty outdated and is due for a renovation
- 4/5
It was a pleasant stay. I fell ill and had to request that my bathroom was cleaned. I wish the hotel was a little more modern, but overall my son and I had no issues while we were there and we would stay again.
- 5/5
Staff were very helpful and pleasant.
- 1/5
We had to move rooms as the bathroom sink was falling off wall then were transfered to another room which bathroom sink was also wobbly. It was also leaking did report to staff but maintainace was off that day so had to wait another day. Also the towel rack fell off wall not screwed into the wall have images and are contacting corporate
- 3/5
Truly, the staff was very kind and accomodating however, the facility was not very clean and shockingly in need of rennovation despite the 8.4 rating on Hotels.com. Quite shocking. This is a solid 2.75 /3.0 star hotel maximum. Which is fine. It shouldnt be a 8.4 on Hotels.com.
- 4/5
Great place if you need access to a kitchen. Room was very clean when arrived. One remote was not there but for only a one night stay I didnt request a replacement. Quiet area and didn’t hear other guests.
- 3/5
Holds deposit for to long
- 3/5
The chairs in the kitchen area were torn and dirty. The couch with the pull out bed had stains all over them. The light fixture was rusted and the shampoo conditioner and body wash dispenser were empty. The bedroom tv only played one channel and you could not change it. The heat only stays at 67 when trying to adjust cold air came through. No extra blankets. The overall cleanliness of the kitchen was good.

- 3/5
The rooms are full mold. I turned on the heater in the room, and it made it even worse.
- 4/5
Bedroom and living room were separated by walls which was like home. We just loved it!!
- 2/5
Took 20 minutes to check in because the group in front of us was so sliw. No hot water in the room. No coffee or coffee maker in the suite kitchen. Sofa bed mattress was all springs and no padding plus I had to go to the front desk for sheets, pillows and blankets.
- 1/5
The staff was friendly and was the only redeeming part of this property. The parking lot was filthy and riddled with broken-down cars. People loitering everywhere. I get this is an extended stay but it's scary.
- 1/5
Lobby smelled. Desk employee would not let us check in 30 minutes early even thou the rooms were available. Food all over the check in area, we left before checking in
- 3/5
Check in was easy and fast. Booking for two nights was too bad of a price. The room overall was as the pictures. Bathroom sink was clocked up when you use it the water fills up and the tub had hair in it. I just cleaned the hair out before using the tub. The bed was comfortable and the let out bed didn’t have clean sheets so I had to go to the front desk to get clean ones. I asked the front desk for a Cork screw and was told they will bring me one, I never got it. Other then that my stay was fine. Don’t think I would revisit.

I have pictures of Men’s dirty boxers that were in my room when I reached for my towel after a shower! There was a toaster in the dishwasher that could have caused a fire!! Expedia kept me on the phone and text for an hour and a half! They wouldn’t help me at all!!!

The hotel had nothing stocked in their store at the entrance. Garbage and food was all over the hallway floors. The second floor smelled terribly of marijuana, and you can hear people screaming from their rooms as we walked to our room.

It was quite lovely, really. Anthony at the front desk was very dashing. Delightful trip up to Chicago!
