Reviews
The hotel is praised for its cleanliness, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. Its location is highly appreciated, being close to the Metro, Georgetown, and many restaurants. However, there are recurring issues with the heating and cooling system, and some guests find the parking situation problematic.

It was perfect stay
- 4.5/5
Did not take meal plan. Location was very convenient for our stay. Room was very comfortable and very clean. Staff was very pleasant and helpful excluding the front desk clerk on Saturday night. He was not friendly and reluctant to answer our questions. Valet parking price was exorbitant. It added $110 to our bill. Ridiculous!
- 5/5
Great experience over all. The staff was great and valet was easy! Will definitely stay here again.
- 4.5/5
Clean and friendly, beyond expectation. I can be improved with a more stable power supply.

The rooms are missing small things . There was nowhere to hang bath towels . One of the charging stations did not work and the bathtub drained super slow.

THE STAFF COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER. They went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. We are GW Parents- we have stayed here multiple times. They bent over backwards to help park the car, get it back for pack up and moving and parking again for us. There was NEVER a time they didn't help us with a smile. HIGHLY RECCOMMEND FOR GRADUATION WEEK!
- 4/5
This is my go to when in Foggy Bottom and usually I have a good experience. This time was no exception. A few comments though for improvement. Where the coffee maker is positioned in the room is extremely difficult to access, pour in water, or use. This time around I moved it to the bathroom and that was a good workaround. The k-cups in the room stink unless you like a very light coffee. Wish they would put in a medium or bold blend instead of light. Next time I will bring my own. The window sill in the room is in need of repair. It has a very ugly appearance. I've noticed this in other rooms I've stayed at here, too. The lighting in the room was terrible. Only one bottle of water is supplied for a 2-person room -- so bring a bottle for the second person. And please bring back the warm cookies at check-in!
- 4/5
The property was clean, conveniently located, and the staff were great. The only issue was that they had upgraded to a new system and it took a while getting checked-in. There was a big group that had to get their cards

I loved the location to GW and Georgetown. We walked to graduation in Foggy Bottom and to our dinners in Georgetown. It was also close to our son’s apartment. Amazing and great place to stay if your kid goes to GW or Georgetown. I wish the room had more lighting. Other than that it was excellent! Such a friendly staff. The lightning in the room.

Great location near the campus of Georgetown and the George Washington university. Extremely helpful and welcoming staff.

The hotel staff were great. The building is a bit old and run down but everything was clean. Parking is valet only

My room was on the second floor and faced the entrance to the hotel. The windows were closed, but the sound of guests outside late at night was audible. Otherwise, the room was impeccably clean and all amenities in place. I didn’t need to run the AC as it was late April and the weather was cool. The staff was very helpful.

The entry way light was burnt out. The bathroom had a couple issues. The plumbing for the sink was loose but still worked. The toilet seat was also loose and moved around while in use.
- 5/5
The room was so big and nice!
- 2/5
The location was excellent—conveniently close to GW and the Metro—and the staff was helpful and friendly. However, as other guests have noted, the hotel is in urgent need of improvements to its HVAC system. Despite temperatures around 40°F, there was no heating available. Thankfully, the staff provided a space heater and extra blanket, but overall it was not a pleasant experience.
- 3/5
Good people, don't have breakfast
- 5/5
The air conditioning was turned off the first night so that was a bit disappointing but there was a cold front that came in the next day so it worked out.
- 4/5
It was good!
- 5/5
Good.
- 4/5
Parking was difficult and it wasn't very stroller friendly. The room was nice and its distance to things was easy to walk to or grab the subway.
- 5/5
Very easy to go along the tourists spots and the room is clean. Staffs are very welcoming and friendly especially Ian.
- 4/5
Clean room. not far from a Metro station. Heating was defective in our room and it got cold at night. but, at their defense, I did not complain myself about the issue.
- 4/5
The room was clean. The temperature was colder than expected and the room itself was freezing even with the AC turned off. The heater was shut off for the season. I do call front desk and they provided a space heater and an additional blanket. But my first night was very cold.
- 5/5
The location is ideal! A lot of restaurants very close and walkable distance for the tourists places. Clean and nice rooms. The staff was very friendly and communicative. Although for the end of the season (winter) the city does not allow the hotel to use heat they provide us a couple of warmers and solve the problem. There are parking spots at the property. My family wanted to stay again !
- 4/5
There was parking on the street. We were able to get a spot close but that was lucky. Apparently, the garage only had 4 spots. It was a great location- about 1 mile walk to Georgetown.
- 4/5
Clean room, great location, conveniently located near restaurants, grocery and metro station. Be aware there's no air conditioning in the rooms, which can be inconvenient during summer months. You can open windows part way for ventilation.
- 2/5
The TV had a crack but did affect the image and the remote volume doesn’t actually control the volume anyways. The fridge door was crooked so that was a pleasure to close. Most importantly the bed was worst than the one I slept on in Afghanistan. Old spring style mattress with a “pillow top”.
- 5/5
Large room, comfortable!
- 5/5
Location was great. We were close to supermarkets and all the major monuments and museums. Trader Joe's and wholefoods are walking distances away. Our rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. Heating was a little too effective and got too hot for our liking so we just turned it off and kept it off during our stay. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to DC!
- 3/5
Google tv wasn’t working and the thermostat don’t work properly
- 5/5
Great staff--very helpful and accommodating. Comfortable, clean and quiet room.
- 1/5
When we checked in, our room was 77 degrees. We turned on the air conditioner, and the temp rose to 84 degrees in 10 minutes. We called the front desk (they answered after 15 rings) to find out what the problem was. They said there was NO AIR COND in March, only heat. They offered to give us a tiny fan. We sleep in a sauna, it was miserable. I cannot believe that a supposedly upscale hotel in Wash Dc in the year 2026 does not let guests control the temp in the room in mid-March. It was a miserable night in that sauna. Stay anywhere else,
- 5/5
ARC Hotel was great! Staff was amazing and recommended so many local places to go eat! Check in was a breeze! Location was close to tram and GWU. Five stars!!!
- 5/5
Everything was great just missing bath road.
- 5/5
Very nice location and clean
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
Location is near the metro and shopping center. We arrived early and they were so kind to let us check in early morning.
- 1/5
The attendants are incredibly unfriendly and rude; they lack any customer service training to answer questions or provide assistance. This is the most terrible place I have ever visited. Do Not refers any ones
- 4/5
Friendly and accommodating staff at all levels.
- 3/5
Easy check in
- 4/5
Nice area of the city. We walked to restaurants and to Trump/Kennedy Center. We were close to metro stop at this hotel. Hotel was very clean. The check-in process was absolutely horrible. We arrived at 4pm and our room wasn’t ready yet. There was only one person working the front desk and she did the best she could but was overwhelmed with many guests showing up at the same time to check in. We waited just over an hour to get checked in. For our trouble she upgraded our room which was nice.
- 5/5
Convenient location. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
Property needs to do a better job communicating parking. Where to park. What parking is or isn’t available.
- 3/5
It looks old and in disrepair. The security situation was kind of scary as I was in a room that dead-ended at the end of a long corridor. My neighbor (who ended up being a nice man) arrived immediately behind me last night and scared the crap out of me. Similarly a hotel employee knocked on the door late at night asking whether my TV was working. Felt unsafe.
- 5/5
The host were excellent, and it was homely. Just before giving room, everything should be checked if they are working properly. I like this place, will stay again if I am at DC, my favorite hotel.
- 5/5
good location, good value
- 4/5
The room is clean. The floor in the shower is very slippery. We were on 8th floor and the room got very hot after the warm day. Unfortunately, their system only can work as a heater OR ac, but the staff gave us a fan and we had to keep one window open. Overall the stay was good. Will be coming again.
- 1/5
- 5/5
We ended up getting her a little bit earlier and we just wanted to drop our bags off at the front desk. The woman at the desk allow us to check in earlier than 4 PM which we loved the rooms were clean and spacious and the property was quiet. We would absolutely stay here again.
- 5/5
We were worried about parking since we didn't want to pay the daily rate but there was plenty of parking on the street our entire stay. The tv volume in our room didn't work & the couldn't be accommodated but it was fine we ended up just staying up talking until we fell asleep. All the staff was very kind & helpful. I did pre-check in so it went quick & smooth. The area was surprisingly quiet for it to be such a busy location. I would definitely stay again.
- 4/5
Clean
- 3/5
Beds were comfy and as preciously stated, clean.
- 3/5
I mean everything was fine. My tub was kinda a little chippy, but that’s because they look like you know they just missed the area, but it wasn’t bad. I was told that the TV could cast to my phone which was a lie because it did not happen but other than that, it was a good place.
- 5/5
I didnt use the laundry facility
- 3/5
However, there were a few issues that made the stay less comfortable. The bathroom smelled like urine for the first two days, which was unpleasant. The bed was also not very comfortable. Another big issue was the temperature in the room. The hotel uses a one-pipe system, so the air conditioning was not available yet for the season and the heat was still on. We were told to open the window, but there was nothing to hold it open, and one of the windows actually popped out of the frame when we tried. Overall, the staff were great and the room was fairly clean, but the comfort issues (especially the temperature and bed) made the stay less enjoyable.
- 3/5
Room was clean. Staff was friendly. It was unfortunately unseasonably warm in DC so the room was pretty hot and the hotel could not turn on the ac as it was too early in the year. The staff was really friendly and understanding, told us to open the windows and provided a fan. But there were no outlets near the windows so the fan could blow in cool air, plus one of our windows wouldnt stay open (they only open a tiny bit). A maintenance person eventually came and wedged something under the window to keep it open. Its a nice hotel in a convenient location, but with the lack of hot food, and the issues with the heat I dont think it's worth the price esp if you go around the time the seasons are changing when you may not have heat or air. I do appreciate them giving us a discount for the inconvenience
- 5/5
thank you for hosting our team.
- 4/5
The front desk clerk’s were very nice, especially Dana! Every valet was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The only downside was the air would occasionally get stuck on hot or cold and hot change regardless of the setting on the thermostat, so we had to open the windows. I wish they had put us not on the first floor above the garage entrance… we were always woken up by cars hitting the grate or people coming in and out of the hotel at night/ early morning. Other than that it was a lovely stay that is central to everything dc has to offer. It’s in a great area of the city that you can walk or metro to everything!
- 5/5
The room brochure alluded to new Marriott branding end of March, so hopefully they retain the integrity of the place, even against the menacing competition of the other Marriott across the street, etc. etc. Highly recommend, will return!
- 1/5
They didn’t let me check inn after the hour but I’m gold member and have the benefit to check in and live me out side the hotel at 3 am
- 3/5
The hotel was very nice, in a great area, convenient to the metro to easily get around the city. What was very disappointing, however, was the HVAC unit. Our room was miserably hot during our stay. The thermostat in the room has the option to switch between heat or cool, but the cool setting blew even hotter air than the heater. Unfortunately, we left the AC on while we went to a few museums on a mild day in DC and returned to find our room above 80°F. We had to open all of our windows, and leave them open all night to try and cool the room down, but we had no success. This reason alone left a sour taste in my mouth for this hotel because it kept us from sleeping…the whole reason we needed a room in the first place!
- 4/5
One night stay. Room was clean and spacious. Valet parking was a bit expensive but overall very good stay.
- 4/5
The room was dusty and the bathroom needed some touch ups. The staff were polite and accommodating.
- 5/5
Clean hotel and rooms
- 5/5
The room was clean, comfortable and most of all, the staff were amazing!
- 5/5
Staff was very courteous and helpful. Rooms were very clean!
- 4/5
The staff is courteous
- 5/5
Excellent staff!!!
- 5/5
The room was very clean, the staff were great, & the location was very convenient. I would definitely visit again.
- 4/5
Great location for GW parents.
- 3/5
Staff was decent. No parking available and had to park a quarter mile away. Chromecast didn’t work on any of our devices.
- 5/5
Rooms were huge, spotless, nice amount of toiletries and snack options were good as we received a $15 credit
- 3/5
I didn’t like that the concierge’s kept calling my room because the people next-door was complaining about me watching TV in the room I paid for and also it was Valentine’s Day. So if you didn’t wanna hear a noise, they should’ve came to a hotel.
- 2/5
Parking was awful - furnace in the room didn’t work
- 4/5
It was okay but
- 5/5
Everything was amazing. The check in was easy, the price was amenable, room was clean and the location was perfect.
- 2/5
Requested extra pillows was told they did not have any available and television chrome cast didn’t work so I had no entertainment and the windows were not safe they had no window guards and couldn’t lock
- 5/5
Was a great spot
- 4/5
All the staff were very pleasant & accommodating! The room was very clean & comfortable! Great area to stay in: walkable to metro station, restaurants, museums, The National Mall...
- 3/5
The room I was given was right above the front door and it was loud when guest came in and out.
- 5/5
Everything is clean and pleasant. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Enjoyed my stay.
- 3/5
The thermostat was broken, so I had to turn on the heater when it started getting cold and turn it off when it got too hot. The TV also wouldn't turn on. The room looked and felt nice, but they need to do some basic maintenance.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
Staff were all genuinely helpful and friendly. They were accommodating of our requests. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Excellent location if you need to go to GW.
- 4/5
Room was nice, we would stay again. Closer to Alexandria, VA. The parking out front is super small. People were nice and attentive.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay! Polite staff!
- 5/5
Everything was great, would stay here again
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and hotel was very clean!
- 4/5
Convenient hotel.
- 5/5
Clean room and courteous and helpful staff
- 5/5
Clean, friendly, nice area close to metro
- 3/5
I really liked that hotel was newly renovated and had a nice look and feel. Location is great. A few suggestions: 1) Some staff were super nice and helpful. Others seemed bored and indifferent. 2) The heater in my room was very noisy and the engineer could not fix it. It woke me up at night. 3) The treadmill needs maintenance:-)
- 5/5
Hotel room was clean, the view from the 7th floor was great, all staff members that I interacted with were kind and helpful, and the 24-hour snack area was much needed. I would definitely stay here again for a staycation and would recommend to a friend or family member.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 1/5
When I checked in, the water in my room was cold. Maintenance did come up to address it, but after they left there were footprints throughout the bathroom, which made it feel even less clean than when I arrived. Overall, the room did not feel as thoroughly cleaned or prepared as it should have been for a guest. The bathroom layout was also uncomfortable, the air vent is positioned directly next to the shower head, which made the shower experience awkward and unpleasant. I requested to switch rooms due to these issues, but I was told I would have to check out of my room and wait in the lobby until another room became available, with no estimated time given. Because of that uncertainty, I ended up having to stay in a room I was not satisfied with. I was also traveling with luggage and received no assistance from maintenance or staff when it came to moving or handling my bags, which felt like a basic courtesy that was missing. The front desk receptionist did her best to be helpful and accommodating, but even with her efforts, the overall stay still felt subpar. Between the cleanliness issues, the maintenance experience, and the lack of basic hospitality, the stay did not meet the standard I expect. I won’t be returning, and I would hesitate to recommend this property based on this experience.
- 5/5
The property was great and clean- A great value for the price. What stood out to us was a gentleman by The name of Emmanuel. He was extra helpful, friendly, warm, personable and went out of his way to help us with some things we needed to take care of. We have traveled the world and have never had such Amazing customer service. He is what made the hotel stand out. Thank you again Emmanuel 😊
- 5/5
The room was a little dated but clean. The staff was nice enough and helpful when I had an issue with the desk lamp. Unfortunately maintenance said all the desk lamps did not work so they brought a stand up lamp so I can get with done.
- 3/5
Room was WAY TOO HOT. The temperature was set at 72. Trying to adjust the heating/cooling unit only made the room hotter -up to 78. Opening the windows 2 inches really did not cut it. Called the desk-initially they sent me a portable HEATER-poor understanding at the desk. Called again, the agent was rude. Said I could come down and pick up a fan-I requested they deliver to the room. Otherwise, the room and facility were a bit dated but fine.
- 5/5
It was good! Friendly staff, good location. But there is not free coffee
- 5/5
Awesome hotel and super close to the metro. Will stay here again. Super clean.
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
I really don’t think a place should claim to have parking when there are fewer than 10 spaces. Granted, we saved money by using a parking garage, but we specifically chose this hotel for its location and parking.
- 4/5
The room was clean and well-maintained.
- 5/5
The room was clean and completely comfortable. The staff were wonderful and they were very hospitable. I definitely would recommend this hotel to other people. They really put a lot of thought into this place and they got everything balanced perfectly.
- 5/5
Very clean
- 5/5
Great hotel with courteous and accommodating staff, clean rooms and a good snack selection in the lobby. Located in a very quiet area yet fairly close to main attractions in DC.
- 4/5
Everything but front desk staff. We called in advance that we will be checking in late ( after 11pm because of weather conditions on the road). When we arrived person working there had limited english ( at least that was our experience since he didn’t talk at all just gestures)and also very unfriendly ( it looks like we woke him up and he was not happy). Two days later on the check out different people same attitude. Little bit of friendly smile will not cost you a fortune but people will feel welcome there.
- 4/5
The room was so clean only thing is it was to hot in the hotel. The thermostat would not change settings. So I had to open windows.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Short stay for the football game. Great location to airport and metro station.
- 5/5
The perfect room if you're there for business or pleasure.
- 5/5
ALL OF THE STAFF — Kosta, Seble, the nice lady, and all the staff. Whoever is managing is hiring really good people, and the people are wonderful. At every turn, staff was helpful to me. I don’t know everyone’s name. But this hotel is wonderful.
- 5/5
The staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful, giving us tips on the museum. They felt like old friends. The building had a lounge area for sitting inside and an outside area. Convenient snacks located in a little shop area on site. Close to the Metro and I would recommend it 100%.
- 3/5
Just okay all around, nothing special
- 4/5
It was good. Clean building with a little store to purchase some snacks. Check in was fine and they gave us a late check out. Close to the metro and not far walk to DuPont. My only complaint is that we had two rooms and both were super hot. Attempted to turn on AC in both rooms and it would switch over to back to heat. We ended up just opening a window since it was already late and we were tired.
- 5/5
I dont know what all of the bad reviews are about. We had a lovely stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly, room was very nice, bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. At night it was a little bit noisy on saturday night, but the hotel cannot control people outside.
- 5/5
I was looking forward to valet parking but no one was there. Parking was headache because valet is advertised but self-parking is recommended. The room is beautiful, I expected more from the tub but it’s okay. Check-in was really smooth.
- 5/5
Great service but one of the Tv didn’t work
- 5/5
One criticism was the thermostatically controlled fan on the radiator in our room was very, very noisy.
- 5/5
Amazing staff! Great room! Only booking here when I come to DC from now on.
- 5/5
Nice hidden gem tucked next to GWU and the hospital. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms!
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly
- 5/5
I liked this place!!everything was nice!
- 5/5
Courteous staff, clean well laid out rooms, functional amenities, warm environment and good views from my room
- 4/5
Room was nice, nothing too fancy. No microwave and heating/AC was iffy.
- 4/5
Nice stuff and there is employer name sable very helpful and kind
- 5/5
Very clean, comfortable and well-located
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 2/5
Close to everything and area was relatively nice BUT virtually no parking (all on street) and garage parking was for $60 a NIGHT. Air conditioning didn’t work and at like 10:30AM housekeeping barged into our room saying it was time to check out (check out was at 11)
- 1/5
Very expensive and unrealistic parking fees
- 4/5
The staff were polite and tried to help us since hotels.xom
- 5/5
Great location!
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Excellent stay.
- 5/5
The apartment/hotel approach works. Friendly staff and a well-stocked snack bar. Room was large and clean. Mattress could use some more padding.
- 4/5
Clean, quiet, great location
- 5/5
everything was great
- 4/5
Room was clean. Facility looked and smelled clean. Front desk staff was friendly and very helpful. Perfect location for getting around the city, only a 3 min walk from the metro.
- 3/5
Nice place, great location but is noisy
- 5/5
Updated and renovated rooms. A twist of modern aesthetic but you can see some dated things like the walls. Valet garage was convenient and hotel is walkable to multiple attractions such as the Kennedy Center. Overall 8/10
- 5/5
Loved the location and the accommodations. Very clean, quiet and nicely appointed room. Great find!
- 4/5
The staff was super, the room was clean, and the amenities were all fine. Some room furnishing upgrades will soon be needed, and the outlet for the desk had an odd covering around it. But I would definitely come back again. It was a great one-night stay.
- 5/5
Excellent shower with great water pressure. Nice chaise lounge is a good touch. Mini fridge actually cold! Staff is friendly & knowledgable about the area. You do have to navigate areas in lobby with small sets of steps, again enroute to elevator. A minor flaw in design but annoying with a heavy roller suitcase where wheels become useless. Hotel is within a block of GWU metro station/ readily close to DCA airport… very accessible
- 4/5
Friendly staff, quiet and convenient to hospital. No onsite dining but grocery and restaurant options nearby.
- 5/5
The room was spotless. Well maintained hotel in a quiet area. Conveniently located near where I needed to be
- 4/5
Tv did not work for the entire stay but it was an ok hotel and friendly staff
- 3/5
Rooms are clean but incredibly
- 3/5
There was a rat at the g
- 3/5
The facility and room were clean although a little worn. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The heating/cooling system wasn't functioning properly, and we weren't told this at check-in. When I called the front desk to let them know, I was provided with a small space heater and an extra blanket. The water pressure in the shower was very weak. The pullout bed was pretty uncomfortable with cheap linens. Overall, I would say the place was good because of its cleanliness, location, and convenience. Not sure if it was really worth the price, though.
- 1/5
Ot was not a great experience. I had changes in my trip, i communicated in advance and i was told that i would be goven refund for that day. However, when i checked in a day late, they had already charged me and regused to give me the refund. The supervisor was not friendly or helpful at all. While it was their staff that communicated that i will he given refund for the first day.
- 3/5
The room was clean, and the property is conveniently located near major landmarks in downtown. However, I was disappointed by the parking situation, it's very expensive, and if you try to park elsewhere, there's a high risk of being towed. Additionally, the noise level was an issue; I could hear people both outside and in neighboring rooms, which made it hard to relax.

Great hospitality! From the first interaction at the entrance to last at the exit, wonderful and kind staff.
- 5/5
Staff were friendly, room was clean and comfortable, and an easy walk to the metro!
- 5/5
Great place to stay with granddaughter at GWU.
- 5/5
Was a nice update hotel. Some minor issues like shower water leaking out on bathroom floor and bathroom sliding door wouldn’t close all the way. Overall its location is great and rooms were clean.
- 5/5
Great
- 1/5
Despite that I have a VIP access, they refused to upgrade my room and to allow me for early check-in. Night shift staff was so rude. Overall experience was terrible.
- 5/5
Clean, quiet, and very nice staff.
- 3/5
The hotel is fine. If you're planning to park there, though, I wouldn't bet on that. I had to park five blocks away and drag my luggage back to the hotel. So when they say they have valet parking, put a big asterisk on that.
- 5/5
Some of the ac units are old and noisy
- 5/5
Great place to stay in DC. Specially.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff from check-in to departure. Quiet hotel. Easy to control room temperature and blinds..Comfortable beds.

- 5/5
Great position, close to subway and restaurants, and Mall is in walking distance. Will visit again.
- 5/5
The room was large and quiet.
- 5/5
Other than that, everything seemed to be in order
- 5/5
Location, Location, Location...steps from triangle park, between New Hampshire and 25th St. Walk to GWU, Whole Foods, dining
- 5/5
Tucked away but a nice place to stay near a lot of the attractions but the building is older so you just need to know that, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
- 2/5
The low rating is because of the front desk staff and the employees in the hotel. They were rude unprofessional and I was supposed to receive VIP voucher that they didn’t honor
- 1/5
I had to switch rooms in the middle of the night because of the ants, which meant I barely got any sleep. After all that, the staff still could not offer me a later checkout or even an apology. This was supposed to be a special and restful weekend, but instead it was stressful, uncomfortable, and disappointing. I have pictures and videos of both the ants and the rashes I left with, and I truly hope management takes this seriously because no guest should have to go through this.
- 5/5
Location was great! and the Wi-Fi work perfectly, not like in other hotels where connection is weak.
- 4/5
Nice stay, quiet, clean, and very helpful staff.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Clean and spacious room. Located close to GWU and Metro.
- 4/5
Staff was nice; location was excellent
- 5/5
Hotel situated in great, safe-feeling area with lots of restaurant options. Comfortable room. First daily housekeeping we've had in a hotel since the pandemic. No restaurants but good food and beverage options on offer in the lobby.
- 5/5
Quiet, clean and very accesible to food and transportation.
- 4/5
It was a good experience but there is no free parking for the costumers
- 5/5
Great area walkable to River front snd Georgetown.
- 5/5
The amenities are thoughtful and the front desk team + valet team are very kind.
- 5/5
Just wished there was a microwave in our room
- 5/5
The staff was very nice and professional.
- 4/5
Staff were incredibly kind, professional, very responsive and helpful. Housekeeping staff was excellent.
- 5/5
Really good area for family and nice for walking
- 4/5
I liked the area and that is was walking distance to many places.
- 5/5
Staff is great
- 5/5
The ark hotel is where I will always stay when visiting the george washington university for moving or move out for my daughter period this was now our sixth stay and it's always lovely. The staff remembers up and we definitely have vip status, which I appreciate.
- 5/5
Great!
- 5/5
Cute cozy hotel, well maintained, slight funky vibe. Would definitely recommend ARC. Great value also.
- 5/5
Great location and staff was incredibly helpful!
- 4/5
Was a good stay. Right next to GW university. Good access to public transportation.
- 5/5
Great location - minutes from VA which is what I needed - pretty drive in. Definitely a hidden gem within a neighbor! The staff waa friendly....after hours parking was easy (shockingly!)
- 5/5
Great location. Loved our room. The staff was lovely and so quick to help! Would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
The Arc was located within walking distance of George Washington University. We were dropping off a student and walked everywhere. We rented a to car for two days and found free street parking.
- 5/5
Wonderful property. Hospitable staff.
- 3/5
It was okay. The mirrors in the room are questionable. They look molded so idk if it something in the walls. Also the first room I got had a very bad foul smell which wasn’t great but they did me another room which was even better !! Overall everything was good, very close and walking distance to shops and stores.
- 5/5
Excellent staff, clean rooms, nice snack bar
- 5/5
Bed was great and food was good as well thank you very much for y’all’s service!
- 2/5
The front desk staff were not friendly when we checked in, in their cell phone and did not acknowledge us as we stood in front of them to check in. When checking out we they had no idea how to contact the valet for our car. Room was okay, furniture worn, coffee maker did not work at the plug it was located by.
- 5/5
First time at ARC. Beautiful 3 nights. Especially being able to accommodate me on a lower floor was definitely a plus. Quick food options in the lobby. Would definitely book at ARC again.
- 3/5
ARC is in a nice area but you are charged for everything at this location. It’s Downtown D.C. so parking is tight and if you use the hotel valet it’s an additional $50 USD per night, late checkout is $20 USD. The WiFi is pretty slow couldn’t conduct basic functions on my phone and you might as well forget about streaming.
- 3/5
I was bitten by a spider in my bed and my arm became swollen to the size of a softball. It was infected ozzing puss and hard as a rock
- 5/5
So glad we chose this hotel! Perfect combination of value, location, amenities, and comfort. Rooms and interior are nicely decorated (looks nicer inside than outside), spacious, comfortable. The market in the lobby has a good selection including an espresso machine. The area was great...safe, quiet, walkable, nice, close to Metro station, walkable to restaurants, stores, and not far from the tourist areas. Parking nearby bookable on parking apps. Friendly staff. It was perfect, would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean . Location is very nice walking close to metro station and museums.
- 3/5
Property was conveniently located near the airport. The overnight front desk gentleman was not very personable. Unsure if he was having a bad night or always speaks to guests in such a harsh, unfriendly manner.
- 5/5
The hotel is in a safe area. We walked to some of the places we had to go, and it was nice. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The process for check in and out was as quick and easy as it can be.
- 5/5
The beds were super comfortable we really liked the pillow menu with all different types of pillows on both beds to choose from. Very clean nice staff, well organized would definitely go back
- 4/5
Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel is a little dated with those big loud a/c units on the floor of the bedroom. But it’s very clean with a daily service, the beds are super comfortable and the shower is good. No restaurant but has a little shop with snacks, drinks and a few meds. It was very good value for money so I’d probably stay here again.
- 4/5
Close to Georgetown and the D.C. landmarks and the rail system.
- 4/5
Very limited parking.
- 5/5
Clean rooms and property, friendly helpful staff easy walk to whole foods and metro station. Would highly recommend if your looking for a DC hotel.
- 4/5
Most I liked the hospitality of the stuff, I really had a great experience there.
- 5/5
Very convenient location. Safe, and clean property, and they allow dogs. Would stay here again.
- 3/5
Rooms are spacious, place is rundown, noise is terrible as the windows are old and poorly installed, Front desk lady was rude, we complained about the noise and were able to get a different room. The valet guys were always attentive and willing to say hi.
- 5/5
We were there for nine night
- 4/5
The ac was loud. It took us a night to figure out just to keep it cold so we didn’t have to hear it cut off and then back on which was when it was the loudest. Other than the ac, it was a nice hotel in a great location.
- 4/5
Nice hotel , room was a good size service was good.
- 5/5
The hotel has a great location
- 1/5
There was black mold on the blinds and ceiling as well as mosquitoes in the room due to the standing water. The room looked really nice, but definitely needed maintenance due to water leaking from the ceiling and mold. I tried to reach out to the hotel through expedia and IG, but did not receive a response. Some of the hotel staff like the door men were very nice and courteous, but other staff weren't.
- 5/5
Our check-in experience was very smooth! We received a free room upgrade and were very impressed with our room.
- 5/5
WALKABLE DISTANCE TO METRO STATION
- 4/5
Overall stay was pleasant. Small parking area with only Valet that you cannot park your own vehicle. There were alot of teens smoking out front of building.
- 4/5
I like the hotel but there’s was no bar or restaurant in there. We got locked out of the room and it took over a hour before we could get back in.
- 5/5
I stayed here because of the location near the Metro and the Kennedy Center, and it was great. (The weather however sucked, I walked through ankle deep water to get to the Kennedy Center druing an epic thunderstorm.) The staff was helpful with suggestions for breakfast out. Checkout was a breeze.
- 5/5
Seemed like it should have been much more expensive - so modern and clean and the perfect walking distance to monuments/downtown! Very happy with our choice of stay.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel in a great location. Friendly staff and nice clean room.
- 5/5
Nice walkable neighborhood with restaurants just a few blocks away. Very convenient to the Metro. The staff was very helpful.
- 3/5
Stayed for only a night. Was alright. We stayed in the accessible room and the hand railings in the room basically off the falling apart from the way. Room was big and from what I could see clean, but it doesn’t look as “good” as the pictures. It did the job and didn’t feel like I was sleeping in a funky room/ bed. 3/5 stars is reasonable for this hotel
- 4/5
Need better markings on steps in lobby since they are different heights
- 5/5
Clean, great location
- 5/5
Very confortable
- 5/5
Hotel was awesome. Staff was awesome when they corrected a double booking that Hotels.com would not refund. ARC staff is OUTSTANDING.
- 5/5
Everything was in walking distance and hotel was wonderful.
- 3/5
Rooms could be updated. The room was clean but things need to replaced. The cloth blinds inside the room were very dirty. Looked like someone threw something on them and stained. The iron was leaking and hair dryer didn’t work.
- 5/5
Everyone was so kind and helpful! We felt very comfortable! The size of our room was very big and it was very clean!
- 5/5
This is a great place to stay. The metro is only a few minutes walk away. The hotel is clean and rooms are spacious.
- 4/5
The hotel’s closeness to the GW university and the metro were big assets
- 5/5
The property was in a nice area and very quiet. Walking distance from local restaurants and other convenience stores as well. The room was also very clean and looked as the photos advertised. I would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
We were greeted by friendly and enthusiastic staff. The hotel is clean and the room was spacious and comfy. There's a scooter stand right out front for easy access to the National Mall
- 5/5
Nice location. Next to metro. Parking worked out for us. We had an accessible room and it was really big. Bathroom a great size! Nice little food market in the lobby. Overall a good stay. Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Great stay.
- 3/5
So, nice and convenient to the Kennedy Center. Easily a 5 to 6 minute walk if you get the walk sign. Now the room itself has the air conditioning unit coming out of the plaster in the wall so it rattled terribly. The windows were not sealed good so there was a constant wind noise and the shades are horrible on a pull chain. They are crinkled and don’t block out the light like a drape. Not fair the gentleman who checked us in to have to do ut all by himself especially when there was a line. He did apologize to each person for the long wait though. A true gentleman and he was very accommodating to special requests.
- 4/5
Close to important monuments that makes us proud to be US citizens..to finally see and experience them takes them to another level..front desk always had a smile on their face
- 3/5
Good location close to Kennedy Center. The water in the shower was too hot, almost scalding. There was no cold water setting. Complained about it but was not resolved.
- 5/5
Came for GWU orientation. Love the access in walking distance of all things GW, including the metro stop. Clean boutique-style in a residential/college area. If you’re coming to visit GW, the ARC is perfect.
- 4/5
The entrance/driveway into the hotel was a bit tight, but luckily they have valet to go most of the way and park. The hotel was fairly small and quaint. It’s very comfortable and quiet, exactly what you need in a hotel. It’s so close to the national mall, so you’re able to get to everything very easily. I’d definitely recommend staying there.
- 2/5
This hotel is old and dirty. Pictures make it look like the hotel is updated but it’s not. Smelled like mold. Staff was very rude.
- 5/5
Please, is there somewhere else for smokers besides outside the main door?
- 5/5
The room was spotless, spacious, and well-appointed with modern amenities. The bed was extremely comfortable. The location was perfect—close to major attractions, shops, and restaurants, yet quiet enough for a peaceful night's sleep. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, I highly recommend The Arc and will definitely return on my next visit.
- 5/5
Quiet street, clean rooms with good amenities, close to the university campus, safe and plenty of restaurants around, and easy access to transportation.
- 4/5
We had a wonderful stay. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location was great, and we were able to walk to the monuments. Having a little convenience store with some basics and food was helpful, as was being able to fill up my water bottle daily. A great value overall!
- 5/5
was great
- 3/5
The lobby area isn't anything special, but it's obviously a pet-friendly hotel with dog bowls of water and treats just inside the door. Check-in was simple. My room was on the first floor and I had to walk a pretty far distance to get to my room, but nothing outrageous. My room was definitely a little bit dated, but with obvious efforts to spruce it up. It was clean, but I wouldn't say it was spotless or anything. There's a thermostat that worked and kept my room very cool, which is what I prefer. My windows were right over the entrance to the hotel and the blinds were a little wonky, so I had to basically accept that I could have either natural light or some privacy but not both. Off the lobby, there's a little market with snacks and drinks. Obviously a bit overpriced like any hotel, but I wish there were some dairy-free options for the coffee and other beverages offered. One of the elevators had a huge puddle in it for a good bit of the day, which was a little odd. For the price, it's worth staying for a work trip. If you're looking for luxury or a romantic stay, I'd look elsewhere though.
- 5/5
This property was great! Everything was clean and the staff super professional! The rooms are amazing.
- 3/5
It was ok service .
