An excellent, family-oriented place to stay while exploring the DMV area. The only issue we encountered was that the website listed a shuttle service, which led us to believe it would be available during our stay; however, there is no shuttle service at this property.

I booked my reservation with expedia, the hotel still tried to charge me for some unknown reason, which I am going to dispute with my credit card company. We came in after 10:00 pm and left before 9:00 am. Breakfast was not good, sausages were dried out and shrunk. Just a blah experience.

Online. I was lead to believe parking was free, but we had to pay - over $23 per night. It's a non-smoking hotel, but people were smoking in a room beneath me. Otherwise, it was ok.

The refrigerator in the room froze and ruined all of our food! The treadmills in the gym are nice but weren’t clean, I had to clean before using. We checked out on Memorial day and I believe that is an extension to the weekend and should have been open until 10pm, they were cleaning it up about 10 min before 9:30 am while people were getting what was left of the food.

I was met by a front desk staff member who was not very welcoming. I also called the property multiple times to request an early check in, only to find out when I arrived that I could not be accommodated. When it was finally time to checkin, although I had been sitting in the lobby patiently waiting for the receptionist to call me up to get my room key, I instead had to initiate that interaction as well. Furthermore, it was not expressed that a parking pass would cost money. I was surprised to receive a bill for one day parking upon the end of my stay, although I was under the impression that parking was included with my stay.

A different person the same nite of check in. I called to the front desk because the tv did not work, she told me she would call a service person come to the room he came and said that the tv had been not working for a day and didn't know why she dident tell me that. The next morning went down for breakfast I asked a man in a suite I thought might be the manager because he was in a suite if I could have a late check out and if they got the tvs working. He said he didn't know what I was talking about he just got back from being out for a week he was rude and disrespectful. That night when we got back I called and asked the lady where is the swing pool. She said we dont have one. I asked if the tv was working she said that only thing that worked was local channels that they were having trouble with internet.

Breakfast great! If they were out of something they would get it for you. Front desk helpful to answer questions and meet any needs. Clean, but beds were old and wore out. My grandson ended up on the floor where he said it was more comfortable. Area felt safe and easy out and in. Close to parking garages for main sites.

I wasn’t aware that Expedia bookings were treated as “2nd Class Guest”! And do to ‘overbooking’ at this hotel our first nights booking was occupied , by a non-Expedia booking, hence we were routed to another hotel for one night for our two night stay. Causing us an unexpected inconvenience. Other than that the staff & hotel was great.

The staff was very responsive and accommodating. The property was very clean in the rooms and common areas l. And, the included breakfast was very good.

The location wasn't very good. The neighborhood had a lot of homeless people panhadling and abandoned buildings. The included breakfast buffet was a nice extra but there wasn't a huge selection of food and toward the end of the breakfast it could be hard to find an available table. There was plenty of outside parking and public transportation was available and convenient. The Staff was helpful and friendly and the hotel was well maintained.

I had trouble with my tv not working for certain channels and netflix but no biggie. I wasn’t concerned about it. I was very pleased with my stay and bookmarked it for future use.

The blankets smelled like B.O as well as the hallways. When we got down to breakfast it was really picked over at 7am. The trash cans were also really full.

Everything was great but parking is expensive, not sure why. So we left our car in a parking lot in DC where we found a better deal.

Breakfast was hit or miss on proteins each day. Turkey sausage was dry the first day, bacon was really salty. Second day, "turkey" sausage(looked and tasted exaclty like the pork sausage the next day) was really good, bacon was so overcooked it was inedible. 3rd day only turkey sausage and pork sausage was available. They have a variety of bread, bagels, muffins and oatmeal with a big variety of toppings! Overall, there was enough options for me and my family to have something to eat each day before heading in to dc

Staff are friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is almost the same every day and has not a lot of choices. It is a bit crowded too during breakfast.

Elevator is not air conditioned. One of the managers is not sympathetic and also not customer friendly. Breakfast has limited choices. They don’t change the towels.

The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that the window curtain connecting outside was transparent. There isn’t a second curtain covering it as its stops only on the edges. This motel is not in central DC but for our family of 4 it was quick uber ride to downtown for scheduled tours. The room rate and car parking rate was much better than the closer in properties. They have a nice breakfast, and the rooms were clean, attractive and with the usual amenities. We did find the TV was somewhat wonky to use but we weren't in the room much.

The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and breakfast was very good. They had cereal, breads and muffins, fruit, oatmeal, waffles, eggs, and sausage. We felt safe at all times. It was quiet and kid-friendly. We took a ride share to the Mall in the mornings and used the metro from there, so the location was not inconvenient. We would stay again.

Sean was an incredible person. He was incredibly friendly and very professional. The check-in and check-out processes were seamless, and the hotel and rooms were spotless.

My stay here was absolutely terrible. Just terrible. I left and got another hotel within 10 minutes of arriving. The room was completely disgusting. The wallpaper was peeling, there were clearly identifiable blood and excrement stains on the wall next to the toilet, the furniture was damaged and the chair was stained. The hotel is pretty run down. This was not up to my standards. I do appreciate management allowing me to check in early, that was very kind, but the room, and hotel in general was just plain bad.

The front lobby is very nice and modern, but everything else is dated. Whole hotel smelled of weed. Couldn't pin place what the issue was but as soon as we walked into the room, my sinuses as well as my partner both immediately clogged and we had itchy noses. The tech in the rooms was mid 2010s, and very little lighting in the room. Bathrooms were fine( although not great still the highlight of the room)

The bed was uncomfortable and the $20 parking fee a complete surprise and a rip-off. The parking was an outdoor parking lot and I had to dig my car out after the maintenance crew shoveled snow behind the cars. I will book directly with hotels from now on.

Everything was excellent — the hotel is clean, comfortable, and very welcoming. The staff is polite and helpful, especially Chris, who greeted us warmly and quickly arranged our room when we arrived exhausted after a long train trip. His kindness and efficiency made a great first impression, and we truly enjoyed our stay.

The room was very clean and we slept well. However, the award-winning advertise breakfast was not an accurate statement. When we came downstairs, there was no more batter for waffles, there was no oatmeal, and the staff refused to bring out more food claiming that breakfast will be over soon. If we were informed that breakfast is till 10 AM the variety should remain till closing so that there is food to eat, especially for kids.

The water has been turned off for hours . I did not know this before my arrival . Apron arrival the host greeted me and said “ did I receive the email“ literally just like that . I thought she was just making sure I had a reservation with the hotel . So I said “ yes”. After my card was processed she proceeded to tell me that the water was turned of for hours . I understand it is not her fault but the company should let people know before booking the discrepancies . I was on the road all day all I wanted was a shower . I should be able to receive some type of compensation due to the discrepancies please seek help thank you .

Only downsides were simple breakfast only served pork and my family doesn’t eat pork also they don’t tell you about the no smoking policy on the entire property (even inside your vehicle) and they keep your deposit if you smoke on the property. It’s like a scam to keep your deposit. There’s a single notice on the front door that makes it seem as if you can’t smoke in the common area in front of the hotel but they don’t tell you when checking in that you can’t smoke on the property at all until they actually see you and try to keep your deposit so i would just stay clear of that. But otherwise it was a nice stay the beds and pillows were comfortable, wonderful water pressure from the shower, the room was clean I had a great stay other than what was previously stated.

There was no delay in getting us into our accommodations and the room was clean and inviting. The breakfast was enough to get us started and the coffee blend was one of the best ever. 1. There was a parking fee of $24 which was not shown while making this reservation. 2. The worst thing was that the internet was not working at the hotel. We were asked to go to the neighboring hotel’s lobby to use their internet. That was unacceptable. This messed up our plan to complete our work. We had to postpone our presentation. Very disappointing experience for us at the Marriott property that we always valued.

Probably won’t be staying there again considering it's a Marriott property. It didn’t seem like a Marriott property.

Central for visits to DC and only 15 min from DCA airport. Restaurants in walking distance. Daily housekeeping much appreciated!

Was in the area for a concert, the staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast was hot and fresh. Will Saturday again next time in DC.

We had to check out before breakfast. But we had stayed there on October 24 and it was good. This time though, the shower was not working properly. The room was clean.

Vic at reception was excellent. He was warm and friendly and very helpful. Hospitable check in even offered some places to visit and eat. Excellent customer service. Booked 3 x rooms and they were clean and per photos.

Considering the craziness of DC traffic, it was a relief to come to the Fairfield and the easy access was wonderful. The room was nice, comfortable and I slept the best! I was so surprised there was a parking lot but that's also my complaint. I had to pay to park on a parking lot right beside the hotel built the same as others next to each other on the same property! It's the same as all hotels you stay at with parking included. But not here! Just a heads up.

Katrina was very helpful during my check in. The hotel is nice and clean. The dining hall is not big enough to accomodate many guests at a time and breakfast was Ok.

Target, McDonalds and Checkers near by. You have to pay for parking at the Target and Hotel actually pretty much everywhere you go in DC. Not much to do around there. Hotel, rooms and common areas were clean, got charged for an ice cream that I didn’t purchase but they returned my money. Rumor had it there was a curfew set for the state so we didn’t do anything special there. Standard easy Breakfast is served complimentary daily.

We were provided an upgrade when our room key did not work after returning from dinner. The upgrade was from a single room to a suite, I was rather surprised after being told it was a bigger room. Great job to the staff.

Okay room and I appreciate the gift bag coming in but what I don't appreciate was the lack of transparency in additional fees. The front desk attendant never mentioned the $50 security deposit, nor did she mention the $25/car parking fee. When I asked if they were mandatory she said "of course" very rudely. It's an okay hotel in an okay location, but I won't be returning due to the lack of customer service.

I had a nice stay my room was clean. The bed was comfortable. I liked having the refrigerator and the microwave in the room. I have breakfast each morning. The breakfast was nice consisted of coffee and juice. There are options for breakfast cereal usually eggs, always a variety of toast and bagels fresh fruit some type of protein whether pork or turkey so everything was pretty good. There is a McDonald’s and a Dunkin’ Donuts express across the street from the hotel and there is also a checkers across the street. I would recommend this hotel.

Nice, somewhat clean. The backboard of the beds could have been wiped down. Cute breakfast area. The floor in the shower is very slippery. Had to put a towel down so I wouldn't slip again. Should have shower mats.

i thought this hotel was great! the staff were very friendly especially the waffle maker and isabella who cleaned our room during our stay! the only thing i would say for the amount you pay there is no free parking included and no pool. other then that overall it was great! would come again!

Just stayed for one night with family. Breakfast was great though. Only thing I didn't like was that there was not a handrail accessible for my mother to get in the shower. Nor, if my memory serves right, was there a handrail to help her get off the toilet (yes I booked accessible room). Should've brought her walker with us.

Budget hotel near Washington

I was disappointed. I paid for a room with 2 queen beds and was put in a room with 2 double beds and the room was very small and the AC was so loud and and smelled musky. Not to mention the homeless people right in front of the hotel standing outside in underwear

Reception employees were excellent! Quick checkin and checkout friendly and always asked if they could get us anything. Rooms were spacious, very clean and have all necessary amities The Breakfast gets a 4.5. Choices were great, good very good food. Staff made the waffles for you! This was above par breakfast’. Easy to get to ALL MUSEUMS, memorials and federal buildings.

The morning desk attendant was a unfriendly and knew I was waiting to talk to him “because people just leave their keys” refusing to have any sort of conversation, although it’s been a week and I still haven’t been reimbursed the $50 deposit for Incidentals. Get him to check you out before you leave to help move things along.

Secondly, an unauthorized charge of l$135.62. was applied to my account on Sunday 08/10 and front desk clerk said it wasn’t showing in the computer only $150.00.hold that I authorized on my check in day. I had to report $135.62 to my bank as a suspicious fraud charge since I did not authorized Fairfield Marriott to without such funds.
