Breakfast was decent and the staff handling breakfast was as well. The front desk employee at check in was not very pleasant. The room smelled like smoke. The lobby smelled like dogs. There were blood stains on one of the pillow cases. Needless to say it was a very unpleasant stay.

My stay was amazing. I had a business trip and the front lady was very friendly and helpful. Although, there was a man early in the morning at the front that was unnecessarily rude to me. We were waiting for our Uber ride in the dining room at 4 in the morning. He told us we couldn’t touch the food and I took accountability and apologized. I put the bananas back in the breakfast area, It’s not what you say to people, it’s the way you say it. All in all, my stay was great. Just experienced one rude staff member.

Honestly, nothing. This was a very old and very beaten property. Smoking in the elevator, our room smelled funny, caulking cracked, missing bottles in the shower. The road next to it was noisy. And no safety lighting in the back parking lot. Major red flags. I will stay at a downtown hotel next time.

Nothing fancy by any stretch but very clean. Freshly mopped in main lobby daily and cleaning in the rooms were great! Breakfast was fine. Lots of hot options. Same thing served all three mornings. The property is dated but the cleanliness is what matters most to us and this checked the boxes for us in that category!

We had ants around and on the desk area, and the shower drained very slowly, but overall the room was good and the hotel was nice. We would stay there again.

Parking was good and easy. Biggest complaint is the window shades were flimsy and did did not block the light from the parking lot. The room was light all night preventing sleeping.

Check-in was very easy, and Karen at the desk was very friendly. The place was clean, even in the stairwell. My favorite part of the room is the heat/cool unit was quiet so I didn't have to increase TV volume every time it came on. A wasp got into the room somehow and my call for help was answered promptly. It was very quiet in the room. I've stayed in a nearby fancier hotel and could hear snoring from the room next door. The only sounds we heard at Comfort Suites came from the hallway near our door. We were near the elevators and didn't hear anything near them. The refrigerator was quiet. The room has a shelf for charging devices but the plugs didn't work. The clocks didn't have the correct time. We couldn't figure out how to turn the headboard light on (not important enough for us to ask). There are nice wall lamps between the beds for light, and there are reading lights there also. There is a light on the hairdryer that can serve as a dim nightlight while in there. On our last morning there, we saw people's waffles were sticking in the waffle iron. Breakfast staff helped get a waffle out, but we never saw any effort to stop the sticking, like spraying with a non-stick product. We didn't get a waffle. Daily were biscuits that tasted slightly sweet to me; gravy; sausage paddies; eggs. The appearance of the eggs changed. I saw them twice. One day they tasted fine, but looked like they were cooked like pancake batter squirted out to make them thin and round

The building needs an update. The ceiling light didn’t work properly in the room. Kept flickering on and off. Killed a roach in the bathroom. Couldn’t use the ironing board because it was broken. One of the towels had a long piece of hair that was impossible to miss hanging out of the sides of the folded towel. The beds were comfy

The AC/heat & TV worked, the windows were operable, there’s a W/D for guests, there’s a pool, the staff sincerely work hard and try their very best. There’s a little pantry with snacks & supplies next to the front desk - the prices were shockingly low which was a lot of fun! The king size bed room was large. The gym was adequate and the elevators were fast. I appreciated the water bottle refill station in the gym. The quality of the continental breakfast was terrible but unfortunately comparable for this hotel level. The room decor is dark & sadly the furniture is cheap. The housekeeping staff appeared to do an excellent job. Overall the hotel was very clean. There are signs taped to the front sliding doors about after hour access - they look sloppy & really brings down the ambiance of the motel - the company should have professional signs made for the staff to be able to install properly to give a more safe & organized atmosphere.

This lack of explanation only adds to the fear and uncertainty we experienced. This situation is not only disturbing for me, but also raises serious concerns about the safety and security of other guests staying at this property. I hope management takes this matter seriously and implements better security measures to prevent something like this from happening again.

The staff was very nice and cordial. The shower head was leaking and replaced immediately upon notification to the front desk. The breakfast attendant/cook was on top of the cleanliness and orderliness of the eating area. She made sure to promptly refill any items running low. Housekeeping was very thorough and the room immaculate. Can’t say enough good things about this property

For the price you think they could hire a security officer. Also; one morning a homeless person was sleeping on a baggage cart in the entrance. Such a bad area; you need your room key to get in the front door

Mr Paul at the front desk was awesome!! He was so kind, friendly, understanding and patient with me as I hadn’t slept. My shower wasn’t very hot on the either morning so I reported it when I left. The sink had hot water but not the shower (it was a snow storm too)

The staff was very helpful and courteous! The food was Ok but the one bagel I tried seemed stale and a bit hard. After one bite I threw the remainder out. Both of the tread mills were not working. The bottom of the door to the bathroom (view from inside the bathroom) and some of the walls need some TLC.

I got to my room and there were multiple roaches in plain sight (I even took pictures). I cancelled my stay and went elsewhere. They took my money for the first night. EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD LITERAL COCKROACHES IN THEIR HOTEL. I lost over a hundred dollars. Will never stay at a Comfort Inn again.

The room I was in had a smoky smell, like it had been in a fire. The curtain blinds wouldn't close completely so a lot of light got into the room at night, making it hard to sleep. It took about 3 minutes for the water to heat up for the shower. The complementary breakfast was just meh, would rather have a Bojangles biscuit. Staff was very helpful and friendly throughout the weekend.

breakfast good, staff nice. but too noisy I can sleep with people keep chatting loud around my room, someone else playing yelling loud until 3-4:00 in the early morning as well. room temperature is not fill full of cool, somewhere too hot somewhere too cold with noisy air conditioner. odor from the carpet. the family room with 4-5 people but just single sink with so tight area and no toothpaste provided.

While everything looked clean, there was a roach in my bathroom! I checked the rest of the room and didn't see anything else, but that creeped me out. Walls are very thin - you can hear people talking in their room, in the hallway, walking. Breakfast was about what you would expect though they didn't label the food so no clue what kind of sausage they were serving, what kind of muffins, etc. Two of the desk attendants were very friendly. Not an easy location to get to and didn't feel safe in terms of the other housing that shares the space - there were people hanging around outside watching the parking lot.

I’m traveling with my sprinter van business and I booked room here after the load was delivered. The next day my dispatch company was not ready for me another load by checking out. I explained my situation to the manager and he allowed me to sit in the lobby until I got my next load or get another room . That was very important to me. If I’m ever in this area again, I’ve found a good place to stay. Thank you for your hospitality.

Our stay at Comfort was below average.. I would’ve expected nothing less coming from a hotel chain like this but they could’ve least tried a little harder. The hotel room itself reeked of cigarettes and the furniture felt damp the second we sat down. We tried to prevent the smell by letting in some fresh air but the windows didn’t open, not that it would’ve helped that much considering how poor our view of a run down pool was. For the amount of money we payed for two nights, it was extremely disappointing. The service was fine but it’s safe to say we would think twice before returning another time.

Parking was very safe, limited parking space. I order a stand size king bed with a pull out sofa. But when I checked in I wasn't informed it was a handicap room. Contacted the front desk. A lady answered the phone. I told her about the room she was very unprofessional. By saying that what I purchased and I didn't pay that much for the room. So unprofessional. I told her it doesn't matter how much a person pays. They should get what they ordered. I reported to the gentleman this morning and he knew who I was talking about. He said multiple had the same issues with the rooms mixed ups. Know customer should ever be disrepected know what they pay or who they book through. I will not recommend this hotel to any of my collagues due the unprofessional staff. My first and last time booking there.

The property was well lit and flat, once we arrived. It was a little difficult to find as the road was not clearly marked. Though, it may have been easier to find during the day; we did arrive after dark.

Our family stayed here for a wedding. The rooms were very nice and the location was close to shopping. The common area was great for our evening get-together too. Only thing that would have been better was if the pool was indoor.

It was pretty comfortable. Good breakfast. Negative is difficult to get too due having to make a U turn to get to the drive, no visible sign by the road and not much light in the parking lot. Otherwise it’s nice.

The bathroom exhaust fan did not move ANY air, there were two burned out bulbs in the bathroom overhead light, an electrical outlet by the door did not work, and the shower curtain rod was broken. Even though we reported the broken shower curtain rod to the front desk personnel (Paul), the rod was never repaired nor did we receive any feedback. The entire room was excessively humid and smelled musty.

The property was nice and in good condition. The free breakfasts were great. The pool and pool area was nice and clean as well. The hotel was located just off the highway so you don't have to drive through congested city streets to get to it. It is also near a shopping mall and a number of restrauants.

I think the workers that work here make this place special. It’s very clean. They’re very welcoming. The beds are nice comfortable.

Air conditioner leaked and left a puddle. Told the front desk and they said they would take care of it. Came back that night and the puddle was still there. They finally came the next day but it was so damp in the room y then, we checked out early. Also, a live cockroach was crawling around the microwave shelf and when we told the cleaning crew, they gave us something to spray, didn’t offer to help. Will not stay there again

The place was very clean. Our room was incredibly humid even though the A/C kept the temperature at the desired 72 degrees.

The hotel external view is very outdated so when I first arrive I was really afraid that I wouldn’t be able to stay. All in all it was a pleasant stay and the staff work really hard.

The hotel is average. Was decent enough for a one night stay. Breakfast was not that great quality wise. I never leave reviews. But they charged the CC that I submitted for $2.26. For what? My family was there less than 12 hours. We didn’t even take showers. We slept, ate breakfast and left. On our way to our final destination. I tried to call after to find out what the charge was for and could not be connected to a human. This feels like a money grab where they expect no one to be worried about it because it’s only a couple bucks. Until they do it to everyone. So beware. Stay somewhere else.

We stayed one night in a king suite. Spacious room, very clean, and bed was extremely comfortable. Staff was courteous, check-in was fast as room was reserved online. Breakfast was good also. I love it had an extra room with 2 king beds and a couch bed.

Checked in after a 6 hour drive, got to the room to find bugs and hair everywhere. Turned around, checked out and found something far better. 10/10 do not recommend.

This was the perfect spot to stop midway home from vacation. It was easy to get to. Room was very neat and clean. Great location very close to several dining choices. Front desk staff was amazing. If they offered more than 5 stars I would give them to Kyle. I made an error in the on line booking date. He helped me correct it and made me feel better about it. Being extremely fatigued from traveling all week, that simple act was lovely.

This was a great location in Winston Salem. It's tucked right off the main strip near the mall away from the chaotic traffic, but still just a few minutes from the mall and restaurants. The room was spacious and clean, the breakfast was very good too. The gentleman at the front desk was like a trip back in time with his professionalism, kindness, and conversation. The only negative thing I could possibly point out is the extior could use a good pressure washing, for curb appeal, however that's not going to stop me from this location being my go to when I'm in the area.

We needed to reserve our room early due to my husband having surgery that day. We needed a first floor room and two beds. When I called, I was accommodated immediately and when we arrived earlier than check in time, our room was ready for us. It was large and very clean. The included breakfast was very fresh and delicious with a good variety. I don’t expect much from hotel breakfast and this was a delightful surprise. The only negative I experienced is that the rooms are not very soundproof, it was noisy from others above us. It’s conveniently located near much shopping and restaurants. I would recommend it, great value for the money.

I will come here again if i have to visit Winston-Salem.

Nice stay right off I-40 in Winston-Salem. Everything was great except the WiFi. It had full strength, but data speeds were terrible. And, since it was a business trip, that was extremely important in getting some things done. I had to resort to my phone hotspot, which was also poor. Couldn’t complete required online work. Clean room and everything worked properly otherwise.

The room was well appointed for the price. The staff was very welcome and they had coffee and hot water available. The beds and sofa were very comfortable. The working felt disconnected and disorganized. I wish there were more spaces closer to the building like the microtel suites next door. The temperature in the room was very difficult to adjust.

Well maintained place

I was checked in to a room that apparently was not available. Beds uprooted an exterminator equipment every where. Shower shampoo an conditioner are empty. Can’t close the blinds they are broken. Nasty neighborhood and the Outback Steakhouse on propert is probably the worst meal I have ever had.

The staff were very accommodating and the facility and room were very clean and neat.

It was okay but I was inspecting the mattress and noticed some black spots on the box spring so at some point they had bed bugs.

It’s an aging property. Needs a little TLC in the rooms.

Clean room and it was quiet

Nice rooms & comfortable beds. Check in Staff very friendly & helpful. Good coffee!

The rooms are very outdated and the beds were horrible! I couldn’t believe how hard and springy both bed were. The end of my bed was about 5 inches higher than the head. My 20 year old son even woke up with a terrible backache. The next morning the entire floor smelled like a skunk. We talked to the front desk just to let them know these things so no one else would have to endure that and to possibly investigate the horrific smell. But the guy at the desk didn’t care at all.
