    Booked a king bed room and was given double beds instead, talked to the staff about it 4 separate times to different people and nothing was done about it, very unsatisfying experience. Room didn’t have a microwave and the shower in the bathroom looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Probably won’t be going back.

    I stayed here and the front desk worker was amazing. I went to my room before leaving and it looked like no one cleaned the room in weeks. The floor wasn’t swept, the bathroom tub was filthy and the entire room was nasty. I had to clean the tub before I before I could step foot in it. It looked like they had been doing construction and just left it as is. The floor in the room was just as disgusting. The lock on the door was not secure and was broken. It looked as if it had been replaced multiple times by someone who’s never done repairs. I was widely surprised and disappointed. You can tell whomever owns this property does not care to invest in it at all. I’ll never go back here and I don’t recommend it to others. Expedia should have a quality control person who does random inspections or just remove hotels from its website if it doesn’t meet standard expectations.

    Before booking at this hotel I read the reviews and there were a lot of great reviews. When I arrived it was nothing like the reviews described. Upon entering the lobby there was an odor. I booked a non-smoking room online but during check-in was told there were no more non-smoking rooms so they put me in a smoking room. When we got off the elevator there was an odd smell in the hallway. When we got in the room the smell was horrible! There were 2 rolls of used toilet paper in the bathroom, stains on the tub/shower, and trash on the floor. We were uncomfortable even sleeping in those beds. Due to the smell we had to leave asap due to me literally getting sick to my stomach. I would never book here again.

    The entire property was dirty. Cigarette burns in the comforter (non-smoking room) and stains on the sheets. None of the surfaces were cleaned and had drink stains on them. There were small bugs all over the windows in the room. Side door was held open by an unused tampon to allow guests to get in after hours. 10 out of 10 would never stay here again or recommend this property.

    It was awful. We were approached by homeless people in the parking lot and immediately went inside instead of getting our luggage out of the vehicle, for fear of hooligans in the parking lot. The entire building reeked of marijuana. As soon as we checked in and saw our room, we immediately checked back out and left. One of the employees was talking to another employee about a bedbug problem on the second floor!

    When I arrived, there was a group of young adults outside with very little clothing and smoking what smelled like marijuana unfortunately I had already paid for the hotel so I couldn’t leave. Got to my room no toilet paper in the room realize when I went to go to bed. The floor was dirty. Went to take a shower in the morning and the bath mat was dirty. The group of people that were out front of the hotel were there till about 10:30 in the morning, making all kinds of noise right at the front entrance, where everybody came in and out people staying above me were extremely noisy. I have to say I was not happy with the conditions at all. It looks like you do advertise that you have breakfast, but there is no breakfast so you need to fix that online. No washers and dryers available. Only thing I can say is my sheets were clean thank goodness no hairdryer in the room no microwave in the room very disappointed. I stayed in room 225.

    When I arrived, I was impressed by how the outside looked. I was having trouble with my bag and a young man helped bring it in. Wasn't sure if he worked there no uniform or name tag. When I walked in, I was greeted with a "Checking in"no hello. No one at this hotel has a uniform or a name tag. Was happy my room was right there. Room was very clean. When I went to hang up my clothes there were no hangers. Went to go to front desk and another woman asked if she could help. Told her what I was looking for, she was surprised and gave me a hanger. Said that since rooms/hotel are being renovated things are not the same. No big deal for me, problem solved. Went out next day came back around 2pm room had not been made up or the towels replenished. The towels are glorified dish towels very thin and took all of them to dry my hair and myself. Went out to front desk to inquire and was told by the young lady there that only happens if you request it and she would add my name to that list. Told her I have never heard of this EVER. Went back out, came back in at midnight went to room and still nothing had been done. Too tired went to bed. Next day went out was back at 8p room not taken care of. On checkout asked girl at desk if she used towels more than once she said no, I told her I had used mine 4X. She apologized. Told her this is unacceptable. Asked for corporate email all she had was phone number. Couldn't get receipt since I booked through a third party. I hope they get act together

    However, there was one big hiccup with check-in, though I'm hoping it isn't a "usual" occurrence. I arrived at 6:50, way past the 3PM check-in stated on my Hotels.com confirmation & the hotel's website. I was told my room wouldn't be ready for another hour because someone from housekeeping was late to work that day, causing ALL room preparations to fall behind schedule. Fine; no problem. I grabbed dinner & came back. No room yet. Two hours...no room. By the third hour, the desk manager starts cancelling reservations of people who haven't arrived yet. I'm not sure who owns &/or manages the property day-to-day, but I should think they'd have a better back-up plan when someone doesn't show up to work on time. I finally got into my room shortly after 10 PM. The ONE housekeeping person - who was hustling to do everything himself - apologized profusely as he completed mopping the floor & backed out of my room. I can't be mad at the staff that WAS there because of their colleague's lack of responsibility. I hate to think of the negative reviews this hotel will receive due to the fallout from one person pulling a no-show for work.

    The first room had dried up feces on and around the toilet. The pillow cases also had dried up blood stains on them and the room smelled like a filthy public restroom. We decided to switch rooms, smelled much better and there were no stains on the bed linen. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone I know.

    The room had red or orange (food/blood/unsure) stains on the bed cover upon entering. The towels were kinda thrown on the rack unfolded with rags that had fell onto the floor before we entered. There was candy wrappers and a cut straw under the edge of the ac unit below the window, stained spots and dirty handprints on the walls I swiped with a tissue to be sore they were not permanent. This property was just bought & it just changed to red roof and I think considering it's still early in the process of new owners (they were getting the lot lights and outside building lights fixed and completed a little after arrival) they are doing well and very kind and helpful at check in. I think after a little housekeeping meeting about issues they will be 5 stars

    The entire place smelled like an industrial cleaner, there was no toilet paper only a broken toilet paper holder, and the shampoo, conditioner, soap dispensers were all empty, I had an allergic reaction to the bed linen which had the same industrial smell, the wall above the shower needed patching, part of the door lock was missing, it was the worst place that I have ever chosen from hotels.com, I took photos if you interested

    The staff was courteous and helpful but a couple of requests were not met. First, the TV remote was missing. Another was supposed to be be brought up but it never was. Secondly, I asked for a fan. Maintenance said they would bring one. I never received one. Thirdly, the shower gel tube was empty and lastly, it looks like some bathroom renovations (older toilet?) were not complete.

    The rooms were not clean. There were black smudges all over the walls. The floors were dirty with crumbs and the bed was not clean. The toilet was also dirty. One of the rooms had a door that wouldn't lock. We could not even stay there we had to get a different hotel. It was disgusting and very unsafe and so far I am still waiting for the property to contact me about getting any money back.

    The sheets had stains and the room smelled dirty. The floors was nasty also needed a good mopping. We was also waken up around 3:00am itching to find bed bugs in the bed. We ended up leaving the hotel at 3:15am. Spoke with Alex at the front desk to see if I could be compensated by returning my payment and he offered to put us in another room which I didn’t wanna take the chance of being bitten by bedbugs a second time, so he told me he didn’t know how they return payments that I would need to call the manager after 11:00 am and speak with Mr. Ken. Alex did tell me that the Red Roof had not had bedbugs in a long time. I most definitely don’t recommend this hotel at all.

    Hotel was old and smelled like smoke. The room smelled like paint. Floor tiles in the bathroom were loose and a Hazzard. The sinks were too low. The toilet ran all night. The sink was dirty. Looks like there was recent work and there was a lot of corking needed.

    Was only here for a quick trip and only booked to get a few hours of sleep.The bed had stains all over it. The smoke detector had plastic covering it. The curtain and rod were hanging from the wall. The bathroom was dirty and had an eye lash in the sink. There was NO garbage can at all in the room. The window was also shattered. When asked for a new room they moved us to a room that was still dirty no garbage can had clothes in the closet and the air conditioner didnt work. The staff was also very very rude. Hotel REFUSES a refund and will not respond to any emails or phone calls. Will NEVER stay here again and do no recommened it at all!!

    They, (that day)started a policy of requiring a $50 cash deposit, that was not mentioned at booking. They did call the manager and waived it. Bad policy, not everyone carries cash and it opens a liability of theft or robbery.

    This Microtel was not up to the same standards of other Microtels I've stayed at. The mini fridge didn't work. I had to go ask for soap, shampoo, ECT as there was none in the room. We had no ice bucket and the TV remote was missing. The room had a weird smell, floor had a dried up mess that wasn't previously cleaned up, holes in bathroom door and an outlet socket hanging out of the wall. They also required a cash deposit, that wasn't mentioned at the time of booking, and still put the same amount on my cc as a pending charge. All in all, I won't stay at this location again.

    Only on the first night. Honestly it was the first time in my life I had bed bugs on my bed and I SAW THEM and they crawled ON ME! 😭 I did not get bit tho. I heard that East Coast has a lot of bug problems because of the swamps and the humidity and ecology, I mean yeah no kidding, so I can see this being an issue in many hotels especially since they are so hard to get rid off so I feel them but man. The sheets were clean but full of stains (from the bed bugs). I had to go to the reception after going bonkers in my room at 2 am to make sure nothing got on my stuff, I went to ask for a room change and ended up conversating with the desk attendant. It was honestly a very good conversation that I would have rather have any other time than in the middle of the night. I don't mind your religion but please don't be asking guests if they go to church at 2-3 am in morning after they just went to battle with bed bugs. The hotel feels older than it is and its pretty run down, some outlets didn't work, but I appreciated the fridge and microwave. My new room had no bed bugs, but the sheets although washed still had a bunch of stains. And pillows like always were are super uncomfortable and the AC and fridge pretty loud.

    This place should be condemned. No luggage carrier for customers. Small rooms dirty carpet in the hallway. Large garbage can in the hallway which overflow. Roaches in the room and a hole in the bathroom door. This is the worst hotel I ever been in. Stay away!!!

    The stay was horrible the rooms were horrible no locks on the top door felt unsafe cables exposed toilet didn’t work the only bright spot was the front desk personnel that attempted their best to help they were wonderful and courteous but seem to have no help from management or ownership no breakfast like advertised towels were old and stained did not feel safe at all with the atmosphere of people walking in and out was given the option to look at several rooms and they all seem to have the same issues will definitely not stay there again again the only bright spot was the front desk personnel that really really did try to help out but had no say so or authority

    The property was in horrible shape compared to the photos. There was trash & dirt all over in the hallways & stairways. The first room we were given wasn’t even clean, we had to ask for a different room the bathroom & floor was dirty & gross. The 2nd room was better but the hallways & stairways were filthy. This was a cheap place needed for a family member who was at the hospital near by or else we would have went somewhere else, luckily we were just there for a couple nights but wouldn’t stay there again. It seemed like it was a lot of people going there to party & do drugs & drink, you could smell pot the whole time.

    The only positive thing i will say about this location is that it was cheap. The place needs a full remodel, most guests coming and going were of unsavery quality. The lobby smelled like weed. The bathroom was falling apart, the shower curtain and hook for the towels. There were three roaches and the sheets were not the best. Its the only time i would stay here.

    The staff was amazing and always went over and beyond; keep in mind the staff was different! My stay was 5 days and 4 nights, so I built some what of a rapport with them! I live locally and needed time to work on a project. I have traveled as far as Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Bahamas for business and stayed in hotels like the Ritz Carlton - the level of customer service was not like this! Bravo/Brava!!!!!

    Motel is being remodeled. Pillows are cheap and after being washed, they need to be pulled apart or remain matted in a ball/defective state. Very thin wash clothes, pillow cases, and towels, AND hand towels. Stained and need to be trashed. For this reason, the motel has limited wash clothes. Hand towels had to be used as a replacement. .Just about all things were stained. Sheets had holes from cigarettes or Marijuana burns. Staff is pleasant. I didn't eant to share photos as i believe they are trying to make changes. The flooring is new with marks that can be removed with the correct chemical. The bathroom remodeled but needing new shower hot/cold water arm. And mildew removed from the tiny area in the right corner of tub.

    Never cleaned the room, the shower head was spraying the whole bathroom and fought us on how many towels we needed. Door didn’t close unless we slammed it. Very hard to open when unlocked. Left an almost empty toilet paper roll on the holder. Gave us one towel, one “small” hand towel, and that’s it when we checked in.

    Smelly room, hallways, and elevator. Trash pile in the hallway for days. Dingy, stained pillowcases. Broken smoke detector and emergency sprinkler. Dirty, stained carpets. Just an overall dirty, rundown place. I have pictures if needed. Nice staff, but the place is not well managed.

    I wasn’t sure about staying here because there was plastic on the beds , this usually is a sign of something not so good. On the last day of my stay I noticed bites on me and my son . The hotel has issues. I spoke to the attendant and she said that they had pest control and that there wasn’t any issues. Wrong there are most definitely issues.She offered nothing.

    The tub was dirty and the curtain was filthy. Towels and wash clothes could be better quality. They feel very cheap and worn out. Room didn’t get enough air circulation.

    was to have a king bed, got there they said they overbooked and no king, that was no big deal, but room was filthy, could write my name on the dust on the conditioner, floor was sticky, hallway smelled like weed and smoke, shower curtain had mold for the first foot and half, I could go on by why.

    Property requires a $100 cash deposit which I have never heard of. Upon check in the girl who checked us in was really nice but we were told how the locals come in and trash the place and how they were trying to make the hotel nicer. It felt unsafe. We go to our room, the heat was on full blast and the room smelled. Feeling unsafe and uncomfortable we checked out and we to another hotel.

    The only sign I saw was the floormat in the lobby. Safety latch on door was missing. The room was very small. Could not get spouse's wheelchair in. Not up to Wyndham standards.

    The overall experience was decent. I have no major complaints. The area outside of the hotel can get a little noisy and unbearable with the homeless people that are around but other than that everything is good

    Room was dirty, not vacuumed. Broken glass pieces on floor. Desk chair unsafe. No phone, clock or Kleenex. Bathroom floor and tub dirty. Shower curtain had Hugh black mold spots on it. Drains very slow. No hangers for clothes. There is no breakfast or tables upon which to eat. They provide a bag breakfast consisting of a muffin and two breakfast bars. Their health inspection rating is a low B. Management had little or no interest in any complaint.

    I've stated this hotel for about 6 weeks so far the service at the front desk is okay as hotels go but the housekeeping is terrible. I started setting my trash outside the door so they can pick it up but the housekeeping guy told us not to leave the trash outside the door to take it to the dump ourselves. There is no laundry service here at the hotel and the sheets and towels we had to take them to the laundry room myself and then go to the front desk and ask for more they don't come around and replace anything including toilet paper.

    Disgusting. Lobby smelt of smoke. I asked the clerk if it was smoke free and she assured me it was. The elevator smelt like it was just 'hot boxed (pot) and my room was used, even though i checked in at 8 p.m. Terrible experience. Do yourself a favor and walk across the parking lot to the Comfort Inn

    My stay was rather enjoyable. Had some trouble with my card key and heater in my room but front desk was more than friendly enough to help out and resolve the issues. Room could’ve been a bit more clean, beds weren’t properly made, dead stink bugs on the floor, shower was also dirty. But overall I had a good stay and would revisit.

    You really don’t want to know but they had no phone service even to the front desk outside calls could not get through. The first room they gave us one light did not work the refrigerator did not work. The smoke detector did not have a battery. They advertise a breakfast and they give you a breakfast bag that is not diabetic friendly. They had Kleenex in the room. Our room did not have toilet paper. While I was there I heard other people that had problems one that said it was scattered with beer cans. There was a least five other occasions where they were changing rooms. I am also upset I asked for my money back so we could go somewhere else they said had to through you but never could reach anyone. I would to say that was the first time have been taken by a windham property but it was just as bad in our stay in Greensboro back in November. I have always had good results with Hotel.com and though I don’t use hotels often I was in Winston for my mom’s funeral. I will use Hotel.co or windhym places ever again. I’m reporting all of the things I have said to the stateofNC and to the WSFD on these violations. You need to do a better job on who you suggest.     I did not stay. Went in to check the room out hair on the toilet and sink, dirty nightstands. Nasty window seat. Holes in the sheets. Broken furniture. Torn drapes. Unacceptable. Knowing I wasn’t going to get a refund, it didn’t matter could stay in that nasty hotel.

    Horrendous, whilst queuing to check in all 3 guests Infront of me had checked in and were complaining that their rooms had not been cleaned, had no bed sheets, the host was then just reassigning them to different rooms, one guest then quickly returned to say that someone was already occupying that room. Reluctantly I went on to check in, we had 2 rooms booked, we were given 2 rooms together at first glance 1 room seemed ok, but the other had no bed linen, bath was full of dirty towels and garbage scattered all over the room. We were then assigned another room, opened the door to find it was already occupied by another guest. We were then assigned another room which is now at the other end of the building from our other room, again it had not been cleaned and had no bed linen, when we returned to reception we were just given clean bed sheets and told to make the beds ourselves. We did so then returned our other room which we thought was ok, when we actually pulled back the bed quilt, we found the sheets had not been changed, were heavily stained and had body hairs from the previous guests. My wife used the bathroom, when she flushed the toilet, it literally flooded the bathroom floor. We decided at this point to leave, on the way to reception we could hear raised voices, when we got there, there were several very unhappy customers with similar complaints. We handed our keys back, were told we would not be charged for the rooms. Lies they have charged 2 rooms for 3 nights each.

    When I initially arrived to check in tomorrow, I was given the wrong size bed. Then when I came back to the front desk to get them to fix their mistake, he gave me the key to a room that was already occupied. The third time is when he got it right But the bathroom was Dirty I’d already tired I would have asked for a refund and went somewhere else to get a room. I definitely was not satisfied with my hotel experience last night. Horrible way to bring in the new year. I will not be getting another room with this place again. I forgot to mention that when I initially arrived, I had to wait 20 minutes before anybody even showed up to the front desk to help me.

    The room wasn’t clean as it could be we had to ask for sheets etc make our own bed refrigerator was freezing everything we put inside of it and it was leaking also the bathroom shower ceiling was leaking bad while showering was afraid the ceiling was going to collapse I recorded video I’m very disappointed and would love to be refunded

    I booked my stay online and pre-paid. There was a sign at the front desk $100 cash deposit. NO exceptions. The clerk stated this property is CASH only. I offered my credit card but they did not use it for a deposit as it was pre-paid.

    I was delighted to find a bath tub very comfortable. Had to provide my own stopper. I always have a set with me. Bed was clean and comfortable. Wifi very slow before 9 pm then adequately fast.

    No smoke alarm in our room, both the main door and bathroom door looked like someone was trying to break into them, old food left in the microwave. Felt extremely unsafe to stay with small children. Ended up leaving and finding somewhere else to stay

    Outside of hotel decent, no trash. Bathroom dirty, only 2 pillows for king bed, comforter as thin as sheet, holes in the walls, TV analog only, roaches, and it's very obvious a lot of familiar live at this hotel.
