Confusion about breakfast offering. Some Expedia sections say weekend only breakfast and others say everyday. Not impressed by the breakfast offerings - we walked to a cafe to get breakfast. Breakfast floor was sticky. Great location with lots of dining options within walking distance. Short walk from Lexington market light rail station. Area around the hotel appeared a little bit unsafe

The toilet needed to be plunged every time we used it. Blinds were broke. Handles to drawers were falling off. The fridge froze everything solid. It was dirty, we tried not to touch a lot of things. We were suppose to have two queen sized beds and they were very small odd sized beds. Positive is we did not get bed bugs.

Believe the poor reviews. This hotel is run down and dirty. Not one of the pictures listed is accurate. The hotel is in a bad area which is ok you of you aren’t bothered by that. The hotel however was awful. They have these huge scent fans throughout the hotel to cover up the very pungent cigarette smell and mold smell but it only makes it worse. The floor in our room was cracking and lifting and was sticky everywhere the furniture in the room was old and peeling the bathroom was just barely clean enough. The sheets were clean but they were just flat sheets and a worn out felt sheet definitely not proper needing as pictured. If you need to stay 1 or 2 nights and won’t be at your hotel much sure anything more than that is way way over priced. Gross

This is the worst Laquinta property I've ever stayed in. From registration it appears to maybe also serve as a shelter. The room 304 offered worn carpet, outdated forniture which appeared ragged and broken. There was a roach/mouse glue trap in the bathroom that was unsightly! No lotion or tissues for guest. The room had a stale odor.

It was awful. Should have believed more of the reviews. Checked in and room was already very damaged. Went down to front desk and were told there was no way to move me and then took pictures and videos to show the damage so I would get my deposit back its been over a week now and still havent received it. Convinced this is a thing they do to generate more income because i couldnt imagine they stay in business otherwise.

The floor boards are broken and chipped throughout the room causing me to constantly trip.... i was there 4 days and they only half cleaned the room once after i complained the third time... still didn’t clean the shower. Did i mention the large granddaddy long leg (spider). The lobby is to be desired... plexy glass between you and the agent like its a corner store... Speaking of the corner store the snack price depends on who's at the desk. You have been warned.

The room didn't feel completely cleaned. I had to wipe down table cause it felt sticky. I think it might have been soda or something. Made the towel have brown marks. Also the flooring was bad. It was coming undone. Tripped over it a couple times, amd the chair leather covering was coming apart. Leaving debris on myself and on the floor. Not really any plastic utensils, limited refreshment choice. Also only off street parking that you need to pay at meter. Would have been helpful to know that ahead of time. Overall, wouldn't go back. We left as soon as I woke up on our leave date. About 7:45am even though check out was 11am.

Decided to take a trip to Baltimore with my kids. Being only a 20 minute walk to the harbor area I was hoping we were in a good spot, but city changes from intersection to intersection. The neighborhood was loud late into the night, with a lot of graffiti and homeless mulling around. The hotel was dirty, broken fixtures, smelled like weed, and the breakfast was disgusting and I threw it out. If I was by myself for a couple of nights, I might deal with it, but my kids were not happy, so we checked out after one night and found a different hotel that made us much more happy and made the weekend more enjoyable. I will not be staying at the LaQuinta again.

I’m sorry to say but there were addicts checking in before us and hanging out in the lobby and though that didn’t completely deter us at first, the rooms smelled like they had been chain smoked in and the sheets when we pulled them back were stained yellow and there were literal trash bits. The check in desk is behind plexiglass.

The first room the tv did not work, so they switched me to another room, tv glitched out constantly but I was too tired to move again. The door on the new room had a 2x4 poorly installed behind the door hinges, the door had obviously been kicked down previously. Staff was rude and miserable. The property was not secure. There was a random guy smoking weed in the front door. We walked out and made a reservation somewhere closer to our point of interest. We left in 30 minutes and did not stay for the night. It was an unsafe neighborhood. The front desk is manned by 1 person, behind 1/2" thick security glass who seemed overwhelmed if more than 1 person was in the lobby, and indifferent to the unsafe conditions outside the front door. We did not feel safe parking our car and walking a 1/2" block in the neighborhood. We were teased by people hanging out drinking on the side street. There were not any shops or restaurants I would eat at. The common area for breakfast didn't look very clean or inviting. Half of the drawers and furniture in room 303 were damaged. The hallways were dirty and narrow. You could hear all the noise from outside, the windows were not helpful. It smelled. THe only upside was the beds and pillow were clean and there was a nice fish tank by the elevator.

the best part about this hotel is the convenience. it's in close proximity/walking distance to everything. the worst part is the lack of parking. the hotel has no parking but there are several parking garages nearby and street parking. both of which you have to pay separately for. the neighborhood is loud and shady. contrary to other reviews i read i did not encounter any bed bugs, roaches or rats, but the cleanliness is definitely lacking. the beds were comfortable but the property itself definitely needs some better upkeep. not the worst hotel I've ever stayed in but far from the best. it's downtown Baltimore, so expect inner city living for sure. iykyk. didn't exactly feel safe leaving the hotel at night but during the day was fine. to sum it up, you get what you pay for. no serious complaints but nothing to rave about either.

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Upon checking in, it was obvious that the images online of both the exterior and lobby were completely inaccurate. The receptionist was behind bulletproof glass and the lobby was uninhabitable for guests. My room was originally on the second floor, and the walls were so thin that not only could I hear the conversations of everyone around me, I could hear the outside as if the windows were wide open (cars backfiring/honking, people arguing, etc.). I immediately went to change rooms, and while my second one was better, the noise from surrounding rooms was still beyond disruptive. The condition of both rooms was also incredibly poor. The bedding was so dirty and smelly that I was scared to get into bed, there were stains on the walls and furniture, the main door’s hinges were severely unscrewed to the point where I was concerned the door was going to fall off, and a light switch looked as if someone punched it in. This is not to mention the absolutely atrocious smells. As a woman traveling alone, I felt beyond unsafe. I was aware the neighborhood wasn’t the nicest (I’ve spent several years in “bad” neighborhoods, so I am very used to environments that have bad reputations), but the hotel took very few measures to make guests feel comfortable and secure. I did not feel safe, and that was not the fault of the neighborhood, but the hotel’s staff and its overall (lack of) safety features.

One the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Our first room, the floor and room reeked with cigarettes smell. The windows didn’t shut properly and it was 25 degrees outside. When I went to speak to the front desk, I also said there was no soap or towels! We switched to another floor, the room also smelled like smoke! “No smoking building”. Yeah, sure. Photos were deceptive, small room. Do not recommend.

The room was small but cheap. You get what you pay for and if you don’t need a luxury or close to luxury experience this is the room for you. If you dont scare easy or have lived in an urban neighborhood then this room is for you. I did not have an issue with the area and the room was fine for me and my sister. Would stay here again if I'm on a budget but I would not stay here with my kids.

The whole hotel is run down and grungy. The fire alarm was in trouble and the fire extinguishers are past due for inspection. When we got your room I found the smoke detector covered with toilet paper rendering it inoperative. They moved us to another room. The phone was merely decorative as it was connected to nothing. The tv was Roku only and would have needed me to log into my own accounts. Broken furniture and defective electrical outlets. All in all the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

I was told the entire hotel has only two (2) accessible rooms (I am mobility impaired). One was reportedly booked for the entire month, and the other eas allegedly occupied for two of the five days I planned to stay. I plan to file a detailed report with Baltimore’s civil rights division when I get home, and withe regional marketing manager. It is obvious that facility was once attractive and has fallen on hard times. I did appreciate easy access to waffles, cereals, cold milk, fresh fruit, tea and coffee. Staff were courteous, several time there no one at the desk. There was a horrendous shouting match among two, (maybe three) men) and a woman that went on way too long). I didn’t dare poke my head out of my 4th-floor door. I had to lose my temper to get a chair for the tub, as my balance is not reliable enough to stand without grab bars. I am 84 years old. I don’t lose my temper often. I am only 5’, and the mattress was too high for me to lie down; I had to scoot across on my butt the swing my legs up to get onto the bed. My $538 rate was at least affordable, but I would have paid $100 more for grab bars, a walk-in shower and a stepstool! There are enough rooms to set aside one accessible room on every floor. I would appreciate a reply. Thank you

The lady at the front desk was amazing. She was nice from checking in to check out. Now, the room was another story. Since we walked in the hotel building, it was disgusting. There was cigarette ashes on the counter where we checked in the floor was disgusting. We got into the elevator, got off on our floor on the fifth floor, the floor was gross. I felt like if I had white socks on you with my socks would be black. It smelled stuffy in the hallways, and there was marks all on the doors in the walls. Now, going into our room the door was extremely heavy to open up. As we walked in it smelt like a dead body was in this room. Floor was disgusting. Bathroom was nasty. Wouldn’t dare use the towels that were there. It just look like it was never cleaned. there was stains on the doors, stains, white stains, or white, milky substance on the counter by the phone and also by the ice bucket in the lamp. Floor was disgusting again, walked around in my shoes the entire time. Went to turn on the air conditioning, and there was hair and leaves inside the top of the vent. The AC did pump out good air, but it was disgusting. We slept on the top of our beds with a blanket of our own on top underneath of us because there were stains on the bed. I found a long piece of blonde hair several times in the room mind you me and my daughter have dark black hair. I would never stay here ever again. I will be letting everyone know. Do not stay here. EVERYTHING!!!!! The elevator was broke. Luckily they put me in a room on the 2nd floor. However such an inconvenience and per reviews the elevator has been out of commission for a while. I had contacted the hotel twice on my check-in day and was never told abut the elevator. Wake up the next morning for breakfast. HORRID!!! The waffle mix was distasteful, the sausage tasted spoiled and the juice machine was broken. Someone from the hotel could've easily walked to 7-11 and bought some juice. There definitely should've been a reduction in price until these things are fixed. The hotel actually seemed like they are preparing to permanently close their doors. La Quinta has lost a faithful guest......

My overall experience of this stay was extremely unsatisfactory. The shower didn’t function correctly, and only produced freezing water. To add to that different appliances in the room were broken including the coffee machine as well as the bathroom toilet paper rack. But above all I found someone else’s underwear inside my room. The underwear was underneath the towels that I previously used. This further indicated that the room wasn’t cleaned thoroughly to begin with, and that I unknowingly used a dirty towel. I want to and will put in a request to the hotel for a full refund because I’ve never experienced anything like this before in all of my travels. This negligence from an establishment under Wyndham is unacceptable, and shows a strong lack of awareness for the average consumer.

My mother is 79 years old and I had other disabled people in my family there so with NO elevator and luggage getting up and down was terrible!!!! Then as I was dressing for my COLLEGE GRADUATION the fire alarms went off cuz apparently there was a damn fire in the basement!!!!! I have pictures of us standing outside while the firemen was inside. So not only did I have to make sure my elderly mother and disabled relative down the stairs then back up with NO assistance from staff. I was ready to cry and not go to my own graduation!!!! The place was nothing great but i knew what i was getting into with the price i paid. It had an ok bed, a shower that had enough pressure to take a shower. It came with breakfast but it was barely edible. I didnt expect much from my stay cause i was never there, just to sleep and shower

Stayed for 5 nights, and didn't get one good night of rest due to the paper thin walls. Other doors closing in the hallway seemed just as loud as my own (at first I thought it was). Also being on the second floor I could hear the rowdy locals clear as day, it sounded like I was in a game of GTA. My window kept sliding down and would get bugs in there, including the new invasive lantern flies (really hope I didn't take any back home with me). Be weary if you're trying to save, it might be worth the extra money just so you can get some sleep...

The hotel was disgusting. The lobby was dirty it had old nasty dirty furniture. The room was disgusting the linen was dingy and had hair in it. The room was old & moldy. And this establishment had homeless people living in it. The area was horrible. Overall the stay at this hotel was horrific. I would never stay at this location or any other one. The pics are are in the website is fake.

Attention to small things would go a long way. Bathroom fixtures loose or not workable. More attention needed on breakfastInability to put convenicne items on room bill.

Horrible. Charged me double for the deposit. No parking. Smelled horrifically like weed. Unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Didn’t even have pillows for the bed.

This was once a nice property, with beautiful woodwork and across from a lovely cathedral. However it has fallen into disrepair with broken furniture, stained shower curtain, poor breakfast.

The area is not what I would call safe at all. There is no hotel parking and street/garage parking is shady at best. The hotel itself is small and run down. We reserved 2 rooms and had to be changed out of both of them. One smelled of weed trying to be covered with heavy perfume. The other had a broken shower knob such that you couldn't turn on the water at all, and the TV didn't work either. When we finally got a room with a working shower, that shower had no place to put soap or shampoo. The furniture shows of cigarette burns, and heavy wear, in this non-smoking hotel. Internet is so slow I was unable to do my work without giving in and using my own hotspot. The hotel fire alarm went off at 4:30am. Reception said someone from the street came in and pulled the alarm. Why would they even have a pull box outside the locked doors? Between the smell of pot everywhere, problems with our rooms, and fire alarm, no one in my party of 4 slept well at all. We reserved 2 rooms, and what a waste of money! Recommend you go elsewhere!

It wasn’t good at all. The hotel is in an area surrounded by intoxicated people, homeless, and it’s loud and dirty. A man harassed me on my way in. The bedding had unidentifiable yellow stains and the room had a Smokey smell as if someone was smoking cigarettes before I arrived. The floor had a strange crunch to it and the shower drain was completely uncovered. If you dropped a ring or jewelry you would never get it back. The hotel staff was very nice and took security seriously considering the awful surrounding area. My door did not close all the way which posed a serious safety threat to me as a woman traveling alone. Overall the staff was very understanding but rhe hotel itself is not the best.

Terrible Choice Don't be fooled by the images as they are very engaging and trickery. Nothing of the images uploaded by the Hotel even resemble what's in store for you upon arrival. Not only was the street a mess and dirty and filled with homelessness it's sad upon entry greeted with a fake almost tiredness Hi...we got our room number 6th floor I'm believing there's probably a good elevator and less smoke on each floor that clearly wasn't the case. The elevator was slow made lots of sounds the smell was unbearable of cigarette smoke, the elevator doors barely creek open and the HALLWAY is the length of an elbow very tight each room seemed right next to the other no space unbearable smell of cigarettes smoke seeping through loud sounds as the walls are thin as paper unfortunately a teenage boy 16-18 of age was sitting in my hallway just minding his own business but again the poor lad had smell of cigarettes right by our door the night was ridiculously loud with screams of children even I don't know what that was about! I could go on and on also ALSO THE BELLS 6am sharp blast through the walls idk if some church is nearby zero heads up btw, I asked for a refund and left the next morning I couldn't even stand 1 hour and had to endure 3 hours of sleep also seems like a cat was right by my window u guys should check that it meowed all morning after the bells rung. Insane and inhumane ridiculous what's going on here....

The AC didnt work the noice outside and in the halway and other rooms rediculous. amenities were horrible the complementry breakfest yeah that wasnt even fit for the homless outside. The room itself was ragetty I took pic of everything. False advertisement is what I have to say from the website and pic noting like it at all. I felt unsafe and had to walk in and out of the build armed not a good feeling.

No where to park. Shower nozzle was broken. Bathroom sink was stopped up. Room was very small. And I paid for a King size room. A bunch of homeless people and drug addicted people hung around. The one way streets drove me crazy. The elevator was very slow. The remote to room had no back. I was disappointed.

The staff were lovely and the rooms were clean and had everything I needed. Unfortunately, this is not a good location — as a single woman traveling alone, I was not able to safely move in and out the hotel. I forgot to read reviews before booking because I thought I recognized the area but the reviews are correct, I would truly not recommend this hotel, as much as I think the staff are trying their best.

Friday 21 March in room 701the door dislodges from metal fram and overhanging spring bar. Hits my girl in the head. Door is difficult to open. We go to the hospital. They would not change the room until Saturday the 22nd of March. They promise to redeem the weekend stay and we did not leave the hotel moved to room 407 checked out Monday charged $408. The La Quinta manager promised a refund but would not give me a receipt for the stay.
