    I didn't like anything. The room was not as described online. The furniture was torn up(holes). Also, there weren't any dishes in the room. The fridge was dirty. The stove was very old and outdated. Nothing was updated in the room. The room was not as described online. I believe AI was used for pictures in order to get people to book.

    The bed was comfortable. The room was dirty when I arrived and I spent time cleaning the floor. First I used a swiffer and then wiped up the floor on my hands and knees—it was filthy! There was absolutely no water pressure in the shower which required taking longer showers to get the soap off. The two burners on the cooktop barely worked and took forever just to fry an egg. The place is falling apart. I left one day early and would have left sooner if I wanted to move all my stuff. As an example, on the day I moved in, I asked for a luggage cart to bring in my sewing machine. There was never anyone at the front desk, so I searched someone out who told me someone else was using it. Several hours later, I asked again. No cart to be found. The next day there was still no cart and I carried in a heavy sewing machine and made several trips for my luggage. My third day there they said the luggage cart had been found! Customer service is non existent.

    I booked two rooms, one room was fine. The second room had sewer smell in it. It was absolutely awful. I mentioned it to the hotel employee and they said they didn't have other rooms. I had to cover the sink with a towel to stop the smell from suffocating me

    Good price point for the location relative to other hotels No internet accessibility in spite of network. LTE signal very weak. Room was dated and in need of some renovation. Towel bar in bathroom fell out repeatedly. Complete lack of outlets by the beds for phones. Breakfast offerings were disappointing.

    The staff were truly amazing, but the rest of the property was dirty, the first room we were given was not fully cleaned. The second room we were given was clean but the hallways and elevator were disgusting. The breakfast is also really lacking, it is more like a couple of breakfast bars and coffee.

    The rooms are in need of serious updates. Icky walls. Peeling paint. Shabby furniture and drapes. Broken, torn window screens. All the refrigerator doors open on the wrong side. No TVs while I was there. Fix it up management! Yuck

    I could NOT receive a refun!d! I had to check out 9 days early. Stay America nor Expedia would accommodate me with a nominal refund. Stay America said I didn't book thru them, Expedia states there is nothing that can be done because Stay America won't approve a refund!. Totally unacceptable with no remorse or resolution. I'm disappointed in both businesses for the lack of due diligence to assist a guest and customer.

    Everyone there was so friendly, especially the staff was very friendly! Everything was very neat and clean no bugs of any kind, especially when I left food out ! and it literally got the job done. I was there for about two weeks and anything I needed they would provide. If you’re looking for quiet, stay on the second floor.

    I stayed at the Extended Stay in Burr Ridge, Illinois, in room 305, and while the staff was very nice and helpful, the experience was not good at all. The smell was horrible from the moment we walked in, and it lingered all night. The carpet was old, dirty, and full of stains, the walls had scratches and marks, and even the lamps had stains. The beds were outdated and uncomfortable. This was probably the worst hotel room we’ve ever stayed in, and the room definitely needs a remodel.

    The staff was friendly, the place was pretty clean but the bed was like sleeping on concrete. The microwave did not have a spin platter so food did not rotate.     This was a great location near Chicago Midway. I arrived after midnight but they were able to accommodate my check in. Parking lot was well lit and felt safe enough. The room was clean and quiet. The hotel is in need of renovation but it’s kept clean and provided a comfortable night’s rest.

They discounted the room by 50% cause they couldn't move us due to them being full because of an event. I would never stay there again!

    My toilet did not work, I consulted a handyman there. He suggested I jiggle the handle to activate the ages old system. To which he followed with- ‘I hope it works out for you because I will not be here over the weekend so,’. I have no qualms against this man particularly. He was kind and informative and every worker deserves a break. My issue is with the fact that they have no back up handyman to help guests when the main one is gone. My toilet never did flush. I had to take off the lid to manually enable the flushing mechanism. The room was dated and reeked of smoke. There were no toiletries available besides a bar of soap. No amenities offered either. My lights were mostly out in my room. I opened the cabinets to find no cooking utensils nor cutlery. Pillows were flat. Sheets were itchy. Breakfast was merely a small muffin and a granola bar. My bathroom door’s hinges were held together by an old, bent up screw driver, with the tip pointing outwards. God forbid, you slip in the bathroom, fall and accidentally lobotomized yourself on the way down. Or at the very least lose an eye. That is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Absolutely unacceptable and a clear disregard for the guests safety. When I arrived at 2:47 they told me I could not even check in until three P.M. because they weren’t sure which rooms were clean yet. On Saturday night, the parking lot was filled with law enforcement. Apparently a domestic violence incident occurred. Lastly, the fridge was leaking on the floor

    I’ve stayed at several Extended Stay America locations and always appreciated their comfort and value, but my recent stay at the Burr Ridge location was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, anywhere. From the moment my girlfriend and I checked in, it felt like the entire staff had already decided we didn’t belong there. We both have tattoos and piercings, but that shouldn’t mean we deserve to be treated like criminals. Throughout our stay, the staff constantly watched us, making us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. It was as if they were actively looking for any excuse to get us in trouble or kick us out. One female in particular, seemed determined to catch us doing something wrong, even when there was no reason for suspicion. The anxiety from being profiled and harassed by the staff ruined what should have been a relaxing week. At no point did the manager step in to address the situation; in fact, it seemed like she encouraged this behavior. I felt like we were being punished simply for how we look. To be fair, a couple of my friends were caught smoking in the hotel room, but neither my girlfriend nor I were present at the time. Despite this, we were treated as if we were guilty by association, even though we had nothing to do with the incident. I’ve never felt so unwelcome or unfairly judged at any hotel, motel, or Airbnb. At 2am in the night i had to leave the property work an 80 year old senior citizen and look for another hotel to stay. Pathetic behavior i will never forget.     We stayed at this location a few years back and it was very nice. We liked that it was near a shopping area with places to eat as well. But this recent trip was disappointing because they have let the building go. The common areas and rooms are very dated. You had to request kitchen items and they were not readily available. There was no ice machine or other helpful amenities for travelers. It was fine for the price but not what we expected.

    More then disappointed in this place. I thought the lobby seemed a little disheveled, was less then encouraged at the state of the elevator (painted over chipped paint, dirt). When we got to the room looked around at a dated room with kitchenette. Once again painted over pain chips on walls, The backdrop for the stove was peeling off the wall. The surfaces were clean but there was layered dust on the non flat surfaces. We just sat on the bed and felt uncomfortable that cleanliness was not enough. We actually checked out before using the room.

    Housekeeping is only on a weekly basis, but they have an envelope to tip housekeeping. No cups or glasses available. breakfast is minimal, coffee, packaged muffins or granola bars or oatmeal. Very basic. During the winter, parking lot is full of black ice, and while there are signs staying may be slippery, there are dangerous patches of ice that need to addressed. For the cost, not worth a short stay.

    While the place is getting older and has a lot of older amenities like a stovetop, full-sized refrigerator with freezer, and even a kitchen sink, it's still a great place to stay for both short- and long-term. Easy access to rooms on all sides of the building. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind which really added a special touch to the stay. This is my preferred place to stay when I'm visiting family.

    Room reeked like smoke. Considering that smoking has been banned in this county for a decade I find this unacceptable, especially as an asthmatic who has never smoked.

    It was fine but the hotel staff tried to get into our room at 7:30 am to clean it without knowing we were there. The place was clean but it needs to get updated.

    Front desk cutomer service was good-that's the only reason for the star. We've stayed here many times over the years and have never seen this hotel in this awful shape. Everything (lobby, elevator, hallways were filthy. The room was beat to death with zero amenities. Think of the Bates Motel movies and you would be right on target. The ceiling light even strobes and hissed, not kidding. Will never return. Hotel needs a complete overhaul.

    Easy to get in and out. Overall seemed clean. Elevator was trashed and needed to be refurbished. Room was clean but carpet was trashed and kitchenette looked old and worn. Dark green accent paint on walls definitely looked dark and depressing. Need to lighten that up.

    Pets are allowed in all rooms if you have any kind pet allergies don’t stay. We were there for three nights and no maid service, but left an envelope for us to leave a tip at end of stay. Breakfast that is provided is a small muffin, granola bar and only coffee false advertising on sight. Carpet in room very dirty. Staff is okay not over friendly. If you’re there for work you have to pay upgrade internet. No information in the room and nothing in the cupboards this place does not feel like home away from home false advertising.

    Desk staff indifferent. Breakfast is a Nutrigrain bar and a muffin. Extended stay, but you had to ask for plates and even glasses. Charges $1 for calls ... wow ... even if they don't connect. Seems like taking advantage of somebody without a cell phone. On the plus side, the room was very clean, although shelves and other were things falling off walls.

    This place is out of 1940’s Unit had a kitchenette with the 40’s stove top, laminate counter with pot marks left from previous usages, open gaps to the wall, old sink and drain, cabinetry the same and this goes the same for the bathroom, toilet was disgusting , the shower curtain was not clean and the floor was laminate flooring and not tiled and again gap between the tub and the floor I hit myself for not taking pictures to prove my statement above. Will never check in this titled hotel again and will not recommend it to any one. In the lobby the wall sconces are held together with a string For the price they are charging they should be forced to renovate the whole building

    The staff was very nice and the room itself was clean. But, the elevator looked like a perfect place to get murdered, the hallways were dirty, and the stair wells/light fixtures in the halls looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in literal YEARS.

    Since we were only staying overnight I wish I had known that the normal shower stuff was not really provided. Had to wait until I drove over 4 hours to take a shower.

    Staff rude, surly, generally reluctant to help, and apparently lazy. There is ONE luggage cart only, and staff blatantly refused to help locate it. This is just a totally disappointing group of staff members, except for one who found me a fork. No coffee in the rooms. I won’t ever choose this chain again.

    This hotel needs a facelift. Looks like it’s stuck in the 90s. Definitely smells like people smoke in the rooms. It was affordable at 2 am on a Friday. Staff is great!

    Clean place, safe place and easy access from the highway. Only issue I had was the nightstand lamp didn't work. I would stay here again.
