Chattanooga Heritage Inn

Registration staff was friendly but the 2 rooms we had were dirty, particularly the carpet. My one year old son's feet and legs were black from dirt in the carpets and my husband's allergies acted up horribly inside of the room. Rooms had a very old, musty smell. Fortunately we only needed the room for the beds to break up a long trip, so they did the job, but we couldn't imagine staying longer than a night.

The room was not cleaned properly. They were old garbage when we accidentally move the bed while lloking for our key card. Old candies and stuff hidded beside the bed and by the head board.

The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and polite. Got us checked in quickly.

At first look, the place seems a bit sketchy. But the staff was amazing. The room was clean, you can tell its an older place. But the little Cafe that is there was freaking amazing and worth evey dime just to eat there once. But check in and out is quick and easy. I would stay there again.

The beds are small and the room is not even cleaned. We saw wrappers of candies and stiff behind the bed when we moved it to locate our key. And they only give you 3 towels for 4 guests and toiletries that is only good for 1 person and we stayed there for 3 night but no refills.

We pulled up with the hopes of a decent overnight stay from traveling and we didn't even make it out of the car. The property and other guests seemed pretty sketchy. There was even a window that was cracked and partially patched hole from what looked like a bullet impact. No thanks. I'm hopeful Expedia will do the right thing and refund the stay but they've opened a ticket while they wait on a response from the property who is not answering their front desk.

BTW get the pancakes! Outdated but nice beds, tvs, etc. Get the premium on suite. 2 rooms, 2 Tvs, Will stay again

Cold shower

We got the triple family room so with that being said I’m sure a lot of people with kids have stayed there. The carpets were stained and the bed comforters so we had to ask for new ones and change them, there was blood on the blanket and the bathroom door facing but with that being said the owners and staff were very nice, they could use to clean a little better but it wasn’t a horrible stay

Leak in bathroom HUGE puddle leaking out to room after you shower. Also a lot of homeless people on the property. Just didn’t seem safe.

Hotel requires a $100 deposit. I left a cash deposit of $100 that I was told I’d have returned at the end of my stay if nothing was damaged. I left the room with trash picked up, towels in a pile together and as good of condition as one should. Upon checkout, a maintenance person was asked to check my room. My deposit was only partially returned because a diet Dr Peppet had over flowed on the comforter when I’d opened it. I disagreed and the woman said because they had to wash the bedding they were wothjolding $40 of my deposit. Wouldn’t one expect the bedding to be laundered regardless? She refused to budge and stole my $40.

Our only issue was the condition of the pool. It needed to be "shocked" and it didn't look like the filter was running, so we didn't use it.

Unfortunately cleanliness is a big thing for us. When you have littles that can reach all the low areas and pulling old trash from behind the tables of bed isn’t cool. It was great to stay for a night when you’re passing through, don’t recommend a long term stay.

The property is in an area on the edge of town that is getting upgraded. The one night we stayed was fine, since we were just passing through. But I don't think we would have chosen this property if we were staying longer.

Staff was very nice. It was excellent to find a property with rooms for 6, that is rare! So helpful for a big family. Carpets in room are old, and could use a good cleaning. Overall the room was clean, and we were comfortable. The toilet in our room wouldn’t flush. Staff said they would get it fixed.

City cafe best

The room was okay, the bed was comfortable, the property was quiet. We registered for a assessable room with a roll in shower and did not receive this. The bathroom was very difficult to use for a mobility impaired person and that was why we registered for the room that we did, so that was a bit disappointing but it was just a quick overnight stop.

No hot tub. Water was hot! Staff friendly and accommodating. Furniture very beat up and needs replacing. Bathroom fan very dirty, not sure if really was working. Fridge very noisy and door not fully closing. Ice machines were broken. No coffee machine in lobby. Bathroom floor grouting very dirty. Just could use a real overhaul.

We had two rooms. One room had a brocket electrical socket cover, exposing wire. Our other room had snot smeared on the wall and a snot ball in the sink. Disgusting.

The property was very clean and the staff was helpful and very cordial. The Inn is located conveniently close to the major thoroughfares in the area. The restaurant being located in the property is great and the food was very good.

Then walking to the restuarant there was cockroaches in the hallway. When I told front desk they acted like that was normal. I will never stay there again!

This hotels needs alot of cleaning. We arrived to an off-putting pea green pool. We had a two room suite that smelled. We booked this suite for the purpose of having a "hangpad" with other people we were travelling with on our way to Florida. No continental breakfast offering but a 10% percent discount is highly touted for the connected diner. The discount is never applied at the time of bill. Our server told me straight faced that it doesn't look like the discount is on there but it is. My bill had three line items so it's easy to see that it wasn't. He hid until after we left. If you don't want to honor a discount, don't offer a discount that you tell everyone about at the front desk. The parking lot was sketchy with other cars pulling in (obviously not guests) and trolling the parked cars as if they were car shopping. I feel misled into this booking. I would probably not recommend this hotel to others. I would never recommend this hotel to young families. Ive stayed in many budget hotels and this hotels ranks at the bottom. Sometimes a budget hotel can be funny when you arrive and you just have to laugh. It can make for a good story later, but this hotel falls too far below even tapered expectations.

Pool was not open yet but there was a garden area where I able to enjoy a cigar away from my non s.oking room.

The room was in dire need of some up keeping. Furniture was banged up and chair was stained. Floor looked like it needed a deep cleaning. Toilet was not clean. The bathroom counter was nice and updated. Lots of street noise. Staff was very nice. The price was very cheap so I couldn't expect a lot. But not sure why reviews were giving this a 10/10 rating. How is that possible?

Very nice and helpful staff. The hotel was a little run down and dingy. But again, I can’t say enough good things about the staff.

The parking was easy, I like the 24 hr diner. The heat/air worked just fine. Room seemed clean but walls, floors, doors and carpet could use a make over.

The size of the 3 bed room was nice. The only room had a cosmetic makeover but needs to be gutted the wall was still chipping and mold was growing through the paint. The showerhead needs replacing as it was spraying everywhere but on me. We stayed in room 139 which was the end unit by the gas station. The room next door that was also connected in our room appeared to be long term renters with an indoor outdoor cat and they left their door open. You had to stand in front of their door to get into our room so it felt very uncomfortable with theirs open. It also complicated us getting our dog into the room. Also right next to it is a gas station and a dumpster between them. People hung around literally all night at the dumpster as well as went in and out of the room next to us. My husband drove for 12 hours but because of everything ended up staying up all night to keep watch as we also had our daughters with us.

Plenty of parking. Rooms are decent size and clean. Location is perfect as its right near 75 and attached to a diner for easy food after traveling.

Enjoyed stay and property. Clean and comfortable even if older property. My only gripe is the hot water was nonexistent when taking a shower.

The a/c was ok and cooled the room over night. There were little ants in the bathroom and the hot water didnt work when I guess others were using it. The gentleman working the desk was very helpful and super sweet. Overall it was not a bad experience. I really liked there were 3 beds.

A used condom was in my trash can as soon as I checked into my room. And the room was a “non-smoking room”. It always smelt like smoke and almost made me sick!

Checked in late. Room 127 near the Cafe. Noisy. It was raining and the Cafe staff frequently came outside of the room in the corridor to smoke and talk. HVAC unit pulled in slight smoke odor.

The staff was very friendly. There was no sign indicating this was the correct hotel. They explained it was recently purchased from another company and hadn't had time to install a sign. The room was clean but dated: the lamp shades were broken, the toilet seat whonky.

Great location right off the highway attached to a great diner. Near almost anything you can think of. Room was clean and had the basics. Only complaint was the heater unit was really loud when it kicked on and if anyone was outside the walls were pretty thin so you heard everything.

The property is so run down. Hopes in the bedding. Very unsafe area. We didn’t even get into our room and 9 cops flew by with sirens. The pictures on Expedia do not match at all. These reviews that say it was great must be fake. Also, left AirPods in the room, called front desk, guy said he would call back, never did. So we called again and he said can you check your tracker… yep, did that. He said he would call after checking with staff… no call. Shady place. Expedia should take them off… tried to take a shower and had to run the water for 18 minutes to just get warm water. Don’t waste your money. Sleep in your car. This place is trash.

The room smelled terribly strongly of bleach, like it was a swimming pool and made our heads hurt. Also the carpet was very old, dirty and somewhat sticky.

We recently traveled to Chattanooga to pick up a German Shepherd puppy. It was late when we got there and the lady at the desk was very pleasant and helpful. She explain that there was a nice restaurant next door and they were still open for dinner and she recommended stir fry veggies with chicken. It did not disappoint delicious. It was just what we needed and being dog friendly We were on our way to pick up a new puppy for our family We named her Shelby. The next morning we were running late so we were not able to check out their breakfast bar. I highly recommend this hotel if you are in that area and need good friendly service for a reasonable price.

The staff was friendly and check-in was easy. The room was clean with comfortable beds and plenty of pillows. While we didn’t eat there, they had a yummy looking restaurant on site that is open 24 hrs.

However, when we checked out two days later, they tried blaming us for a cracked hot tub that we never even used. Rude management. Won’t stay here again. And the room they moved us to had a toilet that didn’t want to flush all the way and there were ants around the tub

The hotel was fine for one night, but I was not able to find elevators for the second floor so hauling my family’s luggage up was a hassle. The room was clean, but the bathroom fixtures were very outdated and the water did not get very warm. The attached diner was very good and worth stopping by even if you’re not staying at the hotel.

Jimmy at check in was friendly and helpful. Any concerns we had about the room were quickly addressed. Would stay here again.

The room was freezing cold when we arrived - the heat should have been on prior to checking in. There was also a lot of road noise from our room (beyond the staff’s control, of course).

The photos were deceiving - strong chemical cleaner smell and moldy broken sink. Sheets were clean, headboard was dirty.

The room was so damp there was so much moisture in the air plus the the refrigerator freezer section leaked all into our uncovered food items and through the take out boxes from restaurant. It was excellent but everything was not! The beds were subpar and as far as any amenities?? Pool was small and outdoor therefore shut down and they do not offer continental breakfast like almost all of the better hotels do. It’s located right next to a 24 hour gas station with a lot of resting traveling truckers so there’s business as you can imagine 24/7. Not a real safe place for women especially with kids to stay at alone at all!! The pillows were really fluffy though so there is that.

The room was pretty good. Was clean. The spa tub however, took forever to get hot. It also leaked at the temperature faucet, needing to use multiple towels from keeping it from going everywhere. All in all pretty good, but the main reason for getting the room was the spa tub, that was more hassle than what it was worth too use it.

The hotel is not new, near the road, but we had a good rest after the competition for little money. The beds are very comfortable, the linen and towels are clean, the staff is very friendly, the cafe is not bad. My daughter especially recommends the cakes! It was amazing

The rooms were clean, check in was easy, and good service but it was LOUD and do not stay near the restaurant. We were in the first room bottom floor next to the restaurant parking lot (150). We had white noise on and the fan on high to fight the noise. The road noise is loud but the worst part was the late night patrons of the restaurant. No issue with them talking loudly to and from the restaurant, that happens. At 1 AM someone tried our handle to see if he could get in and went down the entire row of rooms doing it. He came back and did it again at 1;30. At 1:45 AM a group of really loud guys had a sawzall out and were using it directly between our room and the room next to us! We finally had to go out and ask them to stop and they did. Don’t think we got more than a couple of hours of sleep. I would never recommend staying on this side of the motel.

The room was nice but if you are lightly sleeper dont stay in this hotel lots of truck outside when they leave they are loud we can hear everything outside so noise.

The staff was extremely friendly, but the guests staying around us were very disruptive. Due to the location, there were frequent non guests walking in the parking lot/ sidewalk. The floors in the room were really dirty, but the room size was great with the 3 fulll size beds.
