Our room was clean and the amenities were great! The parking was good. Check-in was quick and easy!
- 5/5
Everything was great. Breakfast could've been better. But still good.

Very clean staff nice Breakfast ok parking ok

It was not clean! They had clothing tags from previous guests on the floor, mouse poop in the bed, crumbs in the bed, bedside lamp was broken, shower was cracked, food was on the bathroom door, a pubic hair was in one of our towels, the fridge was all rusted and not level, and the list can go one! Terrible terrible place!
- 4.5/5
My bedding was old and need replacement, the sweet needs up dating
- 3/5
our tv stopped working and the guy at the desk did not know how to fix it
- 4/5
Breakfast time they have a few items they rotate in and out which is nice. I do wish the coffee in the lobby was always available. They have lemon water available. The room was very clean. I loved the fact we had a full fridge and dishwasher. The con of the stay and honestly made a huge impact the room would not get cold enough. We purchased a fan to keep by the bed and made sure to keep the curtains closed and bathroom door shut to keep it cooler. If you like a colder room I would not recommend the stay but otherwise very nice.
- 2.5/5
Not much, the staff was nice. Super outdated for a Marriott.
- 4/5
Our room exceeded expectations. It was spacious, with plenty of room for luggage and toiletries, and the beds were very comfortable. The full kitchenette, with a mini stove, full-size refrigerator, and microwave, was a wonderful convenience. We also appreciated the cleanliness of the fitness center, and even though we didn’t use the pool, it appeared to be well-maintained. Breakfast was just ok, with a usual continental selection that also included spinach and cheese quiche and bacon. One small complaint: the Wi-Fi setup could be clearer for guests, especially for those who are not Marriott Bonvoy members. Non-members must request Wi-Fi access. Non-members can get basic access for free, but if you want stronger Wi-Fi service, it's about $5. Overall, we had a great experience and would gladly stay again.
- 1/5
The pool was another major issue. It was not heated as advertised and was extremely dirty—so much so that you couldn’t see clearly even while wearing goggles. After swimming, my kids—who normally love the water—left the pool itching, which was very concerning. We asked about moving to the sister property next door due to these conditions, but were told that wasn’t an option unless we were willing to forfeit any refund. Overall, this experience did not meet even basic cleanliness standards, and we left very disappointed.
- 4/5
Everything was clean, and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was good and some different items daily. I liked the amenities of the kitchen area, larger fridge, 2 burner cooktop with microwave over top, dishwasher and food disposal. The bed was comfortable with good pillows. The indoor heated pool was cooler than I had thought and the fire pit was only lit up in the morning.
- 5/5
The staff here is great and the room met our expectations. Easy to find. Will stay here for our next visit.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
Nice kitchenette in room. Nice indoor pool. Good tap and pay front loading modern laundry machines. Was very pleased.
- 4/5
Good value and location!
- 4/5
The pillows are not comfortable and the floor of the bathtub was very slippery.
- 3/5
Also, I locked myself outside my room. My husband was in the shower and my special needs daughter had on her headset listening to music. I asked the front desk attendant can he call my daughter's cell phone to tell her to open the door. He told me he couldn't call her phone he could only call the room. She is autistic and she constantly listens to music on her cell phone, so she wouldn't have heard the room phone ring. He never even offered to open the door for me, so I stood at the door knocking for a few minutes until my husband got out the shower and heard me.
- 4/5
We stayed here to go the Cloudland Canyon, Ruby Falls and Rock City. 2 kids between ages 5 and 10, 2 adults. Breakfast is very limited, but the earlier you go the better chances to try variety. The only thing is that at night I struggle to find parking and had to park in the hotel in front of us that plenty of parking available. If you aren’t going to spend time in the hotel, this is a great option.
- 5/5
Large clean rooms. Breakfast was very good quality with hot items but would have liked waffles as well. Breakfast area was also very clean
- 5/5
Great STAFF clean well stocked rooms great pool FAMILY friendly would definitely stay again and recommend to others
- 4.5/5
It had fire pit and pool. Smaller rooms
- 4.5/5
The construction around the area but nothing the hotel could control
- 5/5
Food was great. Robin i think she may have been in charge of food was more than helpful. Put in 110%. She found froot loops for granddaughter.
- 5/5
Very clean nice showers
- 4.5/5
Walls were thin, could hear others in adjacent rooms
- 5/5
The whole staff were very nice the guy at the front desk was great and professional . Tall black gentleman around 45 years old
- 4/5
There was a slight delay that kept us from checking in. The room wasn’t ready.
- 5/5
Staff was great. Lovelly room
- 5/5
It's just a beautiful place love the fire pit and the indoor pool even though we didn't get to enjoy it bc it closed at 10pm and we are on night shift. The lady that checked us in was a sweetheart The fact we got double charged and it took almost 2 weeks to get out $ back where we got changed 2 times the fact we couldn't relax and enjoy the pool or.firepit after 11om I feel like if people r quite it shouldn't matter and respectful
- 3/5
The staff did all they could considering all that happened and i applaud them for their efforts.
- 5/5
The upstairs ppl
- 4/5
We have stayed here 4 times over the last 8 years. The gentleman at the front desk that checked us in was awesome. We tried to call down to the front desk in the evening and no answer, tried calling with the phone # from our room, still no answer. Daughter went down to fron desk, waited 10 minutes all od this to get sheets and blanket for fold out couch and no one came! I gave her the top sheet on the bed, and top cover over the comforter, she used a blanket from her car. Breakfast was good. Just disappointed of trying to get help fron front desk. With what you pay to stay overnight, you should get better service. Above

Thank you!
- 5/5
The receptionist Kayla was very helpful & welcoming. I really appreciated that. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast was great. Everything seemed clean I can't really think of anything that was off-putting
- 5/5
The place was wonderful. It was clean, the breakfast was great, the staff was wonderful. I would highly recommend staying here. There was nothing I didn’t like about the property. It was one of the best places I have stayed
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff
- 5/5
The beds were not comfortable for us.
- 4/5
the front desk lady noise complaints don’t get you anywhere
- 1/5
They would not accept my type of card for the $20 security deposit and was very unhelpful to resolve. Staff was also very rude and refused to get me on the phone with management since they didn’t have a manager on staff.
- 5/5
No

Never stayed at the hotel, canceled due to a family emergency. husband was admitted to hospital on the 15th. Please refund my money.
- 2/5
The party went on until 11:00 after we called the front desk twice and politely asked if they couldn’t quiet things a little- very disrespectful to many guests that paid for a night’s sleep
- 4/5
It's was nice and clean.
- 3/5
The hotel looks better on the internet than it does in person.
- 3/5
Decent
- 4/5
Staff was helpful and friendly
- 2/5
The lady at the front desk was Awesome. I was very disappointed with my room. No ice bucket, 2 lamps had no light bulbs. The plunger that holds the toilet paper roll on it was missing and the floor was half way vacuumed. I stayed with y’all because you are Marriott. WOW what a big disappointment my stay was. Gentlemen at the front desk at check out was very nice and attentive. This was a special trip for me and my grandson but I was very upset at all that was wrong. One thing being wrong I can get past. I asked the lady at the front desk if they just hated my room that day. Don’t know if I will give Marriott another chance or not. Use to travel a lot for work and y’all were always my go to place. Not so sure about y’all anymore. Thanks anyway.
- 5/5
Beside the convenient location and affordable rate, there is a very nice &kind lady (sorry I didn’t get her name but she works 5am shift), offering to make our family breakfast bags because we had to catch our flight at 3am and breakfast is not served until 7am on Saturday.. she made sure what type of foods/fruits/milk that we like and she put together breakfast to go bags for each of our family members.. that is the 5stars service right there , she made sure her guests feel at home .. this lady deserves to be the employee of the month.. we are very grateful for what she did .. besides that all the staffs are very friendly and really take care the guest . We are sure will stay at this hotel when we visit Chattanooga again in the future
- 5/5
Property was clean. Only thing it was long weekend September 1 and there is patio outside which was occupied by city people maybe some friends in hotel staff or hotel residents on august 30. Since it is family hotel no family can sit outside when people are smoking, drinking , loud music from 5pm onwards
- 5/5
Room was very comfortable but had a slight odor
- 1/5
Walked in our room and a/c unit wasn’t working and was actually in pieces. So we didn’t stay. Been dealing with Expedia trying to get a refund and still haven’t received any refund. I’m also done with Expedia I travel weekly and spend money on here weekly. No more! I can’t get anyone to help me. So I’m done! N
- 5/5
What was unusual was not having anyone come to take the garbage out or bring clean towels. We had to go down to ask at the front desk. They told us they go to the rooms every 3 days. I don’t mind using the same towers three days, it’s just that we were not used to that. Also the day we arrived, they gave us a room which was not clean yet. Actually someone was still painting something in the kitchen area. So, we asked for another room, and everything was okay. Overall, I think is very convenient having laundry and good breakfast. Very relaxing after all.
- 4/5
breakfast was good. And fire pit
- 4/5
Parking was hard to get if you came in after 9or10 pm.
- 4/5
Would stay again.
- 1/5
phone not working and she didn't even acknowledge that he said that. She was also on a video chat with some guy and an ear bud in the whole time she was "helping" customers. The breakfast was great for 3 days then awful. They also didn’t have towels one day. No parking but staff parks in handicapped spot. Homeless living in boarded hotel next to it as well.
- 2/5
I had checked in on Tuesday spoke with the general manager that night about the room been dirty. she promised to get it done the next day and of course it was not accomplished and the bulbs and the lights and never did get fixed. I was on business trip needed to use a computer and the one computer they had was out of service did not work so they do not have a business center. The room had a small 20 iinch TV. The refrigerator was dirty. On the outside of the basket in the closet was dirty. The lights were out on the desk. The overhead light on the desk light bulb was missing on the desk lamp, and in the hallway, those never did get replaced and the carpet was dirty
- 5/5
Only one ice machine in hotel
- 2/5
Very friendly employees. The hotel lobby and outside was very nice and we liked the location, however the room was not clean and in need of some maintenance. The bathroom was cleaned with a dirty rag, my husband wiped the toilet seat with a towel and when he was done it was black in the area he wiped the seat.
- 3/5
The bed was not comfortable. Woke up with a backache. The bathroom needed repair.
- 5/5
Nice property. Getting close to being time for an update.
- 4/5
I really enjoyed my stay. Was happy that there was a window that opens where I can get some fresh air. The breakfast was surprisingly good and actually had a nice variety and they had more than just pork!!!. I loved the continual lemon water fountain that was always available to guests. Very nice stay.
- 1/5
Overcharged us, was told a manager will call us and no one did. Male front desk was not helpful at all, doesnt seem like he wants to help.
- 5/5
Very clean and safe
- 5/5
Clean, quiet and convenient location
- 3/5
Staff were friendly
- 5/5
The woman and check in was nice and friendly and so was the gentleman at check out.
- 4/5
The property was very clean and very nice. 56.
- 5/5
Thank you,
- 4/5
Staff service was excellent and overall stay was positive. Kitchen sink didn’t drain well and bathroom smelled like sewer gas. Had to keep that door closed at all times and try to avoid breathing while in the restroom. We tried to tell front desk about the concerns at checkout and we were told to post it here instead.
- 1/5
The employees talk insanely disrespectful to US during checkout and placed at fraudulent charge on my account.
- 5/5
My 6th time here and always happy with everything
- 5/5
The room still had a drink bottle under the bed and what looked like smooshed popcorn, so they just need to make sure to check under beds when cleaning.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and welcome bag.
- 4/5
Place was packed., difficult to find a parking spot. Third in line to check in with only one person working. Tracy was very accommodating though
- 3/5
In need of updates, room smelled like old grease and food
- 5/5
It was nice
- 5/5
The parking lot was well lit and safe. The view out of our window (towards the back) was less than desirable. The back of the hotel was littered with all kinds of garbage big and small. We are unsure if this was an adjacent lot.
- 5/5
The price is cheap, it is not far from tourist attractions, and there is a mart nearby. It has a kitchen and a table for 4, so it is great for family trips. The level of cleaning was also very clean, so I was very satisfied.
- 3/5
Beds look good, but fridge and bathroom door needed a better cleaning. It makes you wonder if the rest is properly cleaned. The building halls look a bit dated.
- 3/5
Room was ok and liked larger refrigerator, but floors were dirty and sticky I had to wipe them down. The pool was disgusting and was not heated, no maintenence on site. Was able to use pool next door but night time weather was chilly to walk between buildings
- 3/5
Needs updating, a through cleaning and better staff. It was fine for just staying over, but not somewhere i would recommend or stay at again.
- 5/5
Nices and quite
- 3/5
No hot water.
- 3/5
The property is very old and in need of an update. I question having a kitchenette with the ability to cook in a hotel room. Not sure it is the safest decision.
- 3/5
Staff very pleasant. Check in simple. Carpet stained in room. Furniture worn. Area seemed questionable.
- 5/5
Very nice
- 5/5
The staff were exceptionally nice and accommodating. We enjoyed the outdoor firepit.
- 5/5
Looking out my window, the back of the property was heavily littered with a lot of trash
- 3/5
The staff was welcoming and pleasant at all times. The rooms are dated with furniture worn and needing replaced. The TV is comically small for a suite. The air conditioner wouldn't stay set and the air that came out smelled very moldy. There was dusty and dirty places throughout the room and bathroom where housekeeping is not doing a thorough job. Area is convenient to get to 75. Breakfast was ok. They really need to either cut the bagels so you can toast them or offer a bagel cutter so guests can do it themselves.
- 5/5
This hotel was great and we had no issues with our stay. We happened to visit during a snowstorm and the parking lot was unplowed causing cars to get stuck and making walking treacherous
- 4/5
Overall, i really enjoyed our stay. We got put in a handicapped room which was a little inconvenient but ai think that had more to do with our late arrival time. Room was clean and beds were comfortable.
- 4/5
We had a nice stay at this hotel. It does have wear and tear like any hotel but for the price the stay was great! Breakfast included each day had different hot foods. The check in easy and the staff was very friendly. Room was spacious with 2 queen beds, a 4 seater table, a full kitchen (minus an oven), and a bathroom. Loved that there was a table to sit at and have meals. Pillows are a bit flat and the bed was hard but that's better than lumpy I suppose. We did have some questionable stains on the window curtain as well as some yellowy drips going down the bathroom closet door. Otherwise everything was in decent cleanliness order. Loved that we could bring our dog. It's a flat $75 fee no matter how long you stay and since we stayed 5 days this was very reasonable. The pool was heated and clean. The kids loved this since it was only 35 degrees outside. Close to a lot of restaurants and shopping without being in the center of it all. Just a quick 2 mile drive away. Overall a nice stay and I would definitely stay at another TownePlace.
- 5/5
It was a great time other then smoke alarm going off all night
- 2/5
Pillows smelled like smoke. Carpet had something that looked like dried vomit. Sink mirror was cracked all the way across. No door to the sink area was disturbing to other family members when someone needed to wash hands during the night. 2 full sized mirror in front of the toilet and shower was odd placement.
- 3/5
Spent 5 nights in the hotel and not once did they come to clean the room. Was told they come every 3 days. Room slept like multiple dogs stayed and they didn’t clean afterwards.
- 5/5
Nice clean property and well maintained. Great room amenities and breakfast
- 3/5
The hotel is dated.
- 4/5
Townplace was nice for what we needed for a 3 night's stay above all the staff was very nice
- 5/5
Staff
- 5/5
awesome place
- 3/5
Pretty moldy bathrooms and it’s a bit outdated wasn’t great but wasn’t terrible
- 2/5
While the property was nice and the room was decent. There was no remote, had to go get one and because of that I was charged $65 without even being told. While it was just a hold it was the fact no one told me. That’s the reason for my low score. Otherwise decent room, bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean. Easy access to highway. Lots of options to eat in the area. Lots of hotels in the area so wouldn’t stay here again.
- 5/5
Art was very helpful
- 4/5
It was clean and the size of the room was perfect for our stay.
- 3/5
Mirror in bathroom was not clean. Baseboards throughout and wall near the door need cleaning. Found a bloodstain on the sheet at bedtime on the first night. It was so late, we just covered it with a towel and asked for the sheet to be changed the next morning. It was not changed. The person at the desk gave me one, and we changed it ourselves. Outlet on desk was dusty. Trash from previous occupant found under desk. Bathroom sink drain was slow, even after I opened it from under the sink. No water pressure from the kitchen sink. Dishwasher was very loud.
- 5/5
Extremely nice staff. Wonderful breakfast.
- 5/5
Very good for the price I paid! It was very nice and very convenient! Staff was nice! Breakfast is cute! A little small but overall I was very satisfied with our stay!
- 5/5
Staff was super friendly
- 5/5
Small quiet check-in area, nice staff. Not the traditional long hallways. Spacious rooms, extra night stand nice eating table and large fridge in kitchen area. It had some wall damage Very nice breakfast area. But didn’t like the limited hot breakfast choices. A waffle iron and different choices of meat would be good.
- 1/5
Mold in the bathroom
- 4/5
The only issue I had was that the room I stayed in smelled of stale cigarettes.
- 5/5
The person checking us in was awesome, very friendly and upbeat a nice end to a long day of driving.
- 5/5
Not enough stars for the front desk staff, all I can say is awesome!! They go above & beyond when it comes to taking care of their guests. The housekeeping staff is outstanding as well!! Whether your staying one night or long term they make you feel like family.
- 5/5
Enjoyed our stay
- 4/5
Great breakfast!!
- 3/5
Cleanliness was very poor of the room
- 3/5
We were only there one night with a late arrival, so very little interaction with staff. Lady at the counter working overnight was professional and friendly. Lobby was basic, seemed clean. The room itself was pretty large, could use updating (esp the carpet), didn’t use any of the appliances; the mattresses were fine for the night, pillows could have been better. The room itself appeared pretty clean. There was a gap at the bottom of the door to the hallway, which made the noise from the even later-night guests and dogs pretty loud in our room. Bathroom was fine; good water pressure in shower, liked that sink was in separate area from shower/commode. Breakfast was a bit disappointing; the area is VERY SMALL, only one toaster and waffle maker, and not a lot of healthy choices (like fruit, nuts). Again, it was ok and met our needs for a quick stopover.
- 5/5
The hotel had everything we needed. The staff was very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
It was good service
- 3/5
For three days I complained about the people above me stomping so hard the room rattled and this went on for hours, finally when I asked to check out early they changed my room. The breakfast should be labeled continental and horrible,
- 5/5
We’ve stayed here multiple times :) Still like it!
- 3/5
I’m a nonsmoker. The room smells smoky
- 5/5
This facility was clean and had everything I needed. The staff were super friendly and helpful. If you’re picky, you might want to bring kitchen utensils and a pot/pan, as it is a gamble the quality of the items - but they are definitely useable! I used them, but I’m not picky:) Would stay again!
- 1/5
Horrible experience. Would never recommend this hotel. Most all of the appliances were faulty - with “no maintenance man to fix it”. Our food ruined in the fridge. Microwave didn’t work. Their grill and fire pit, also broken. AC sounded like it was on its last leg. Advertising board games to borrow? Guess what, those are gone too. This entire experience was a joke.
- 4/5
Enjoyed my stay. Staff, at all positions, were friendly and courteous. Overall condition of property seemed ready for a redo. The breakfast , for the type offered was one of the best I had. Only critique was limiting waffles to weekends only.
- 5/5
Happy with it, kids enjoyed the pool and the room was great. Really pleasantly surprised by the almost full size kitchen.
- 5/5
I would stay here again. Staff super friendly, very clean, and it was updated or new.
- 4/5
.
- 4/5
Good hotel in a central location that is easy to get on and off the interstate, and get around Chattanooga.
- 4/5
This was fine for one night. Staff was very helpful and accommodating.
- 5/5
The staff is amazing...Danielle, Joan, and Miesha are the best!! Only place I stay!
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and made us feel like we were at home
- 5/5
Stayed here for 2 weeks. No complaints 👌
- 3/5
Fire alarm check every month would help to avoid the reset issue experienced with the recent stay
- 1/5
Old food behind the telephone, bath towels had dirty stains on them and hairs stuck to them. Fire alarms went off all night, and the firemen could not get them cut off. I ended up leaving after midnight and traveling six hours home. I’m waiting to be refunded.
- 2/5
Breakfast ending promptly at 9 o’clock silly. How many people go on vacation and eat breakfast before nine?
- 5/5
Staff was amazing and the hotel is very clean. Was a stop on our road trip and this is the second year stopping here.
- 5/5
Loved it. The bed is comfy, the room is clean, the employees are awesome and helpful.
- 5/5
I don’t like bathtub spiders web also wasn’t good night stand at all
- 5/5
Property clean. Room clean. Accommodated early check in and room change. Very nice and professional desk agent, Diana I think her name was.
- 5/5
This is my favorite hotel to stay at in chattanooga!
- 5/5
I was impressed with the check in woman (I wish I could remember her name) she was very efficient and friendly even though she was busy multitasking. The room was clean and everything I wanted full kitchen, nice mattress and pillows and a deep bathtub with a lot of hot water. The only thing that I didn’t get was not being able to control the room temperature.
- 5/5
Front desk supervisor was best I’ve seen that loves her job.
- 1/5
Coming to our room was initially nice, but we soon found that the bedsheets were stained, the ac barely cooled the room, for a room of four we only had 2 rolls of toilet paper and one trash bag. This wouldn't be so bad but their room service only comes once every 3 days, if you are lucky. Our room service never came on the day they were supposed to, not even a knock on our door. We had to schedule them the next day and we were told that they would come between a certain time in the morning. We made sure we were not in the room before that time and didn't come back until later in the day. After an exhausting day we came back to a room that had not been touched. We decided to call the front desk using our rooms phone, only to find that it did not work. We had to make our way back down and practically begging for them to come up and clean the room. Once they did come we were met with attitude by the cleaning lady. We thought she did a good job at first, but we found out she never even replaced our shampoo and conditioner, only adding water to it. I wouldn't recommend going to the pool at least in the current condition it is in. When you first
