Enjoyed our stay. Beds were very comfortable. Rooms were very clean. Will say that the only negative was a lack of insulation from room to hallway. Could hear other guest when talking in the hall. But that only occurred for about an hour at 10 to 11.

We were very tired from a transatlantic flight when we arrived. We went to the rooftop bar/restaurant for a glass of wine and light dinner. Cole waited on us and he was terrific. He was engaging, proficient and made us feel special. We were returning to Denver after living in Portugal for 2+ years and Cole helped us ease into this transition.

We enjoyed a very relaxing stay at The Clayton Hotel on our recent trip to Denver, Colorado. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, the valet was prompt and courteous, the front desk was warm and welcoming, our room was sparkling, clean and very comfortable, the restaurant and bar provides excellent food and beverages in a very relaxing yet upscale setting, and the hotel is located in the heart of Cherry Creek North, one of Denver‘s premier areas to stay. We would highly recommend this hotel for visitors to the Mile High City.

Vibe was pretentious. Staff was great until I was accosted by a manager, as I was already checked out and leaving the hotel, I ate 3 nights rather than stay at the Clayton. This very young man informed me he did not care. Not sure why he needed to insult someone already checked out. But overall ..hard pass.

This is a beautiful hotel and a great location. The staff seemed friendly, but lacked follow through. The room was disappointing. First the room, it was a spacious room, but only had one window which was facing the interior and blocked by another building so the room got no natural light. There was also not enough light in the room with the lamps on to see in the closet or in the drawers. So every time I went to change clothes or put something away, I had to use my flashlight on my cell phone to even see what I was doing. There were only two small drawers in the corner not enough for a three nights stay. Second, we received no room service on our second day despite asking two times and being promised two times. We were out of the room for about eight hours that day and room service never came.

Great location, reception was very friendly. 2nd floor lounge was amazing for coffee the one day I was permitted. Good location for visiting my son at University of Denver. They were hosting what looked like a fabulous Halloween Party, but this meant many amenities were unavailable for 2 of the 3 nights I was there. They tried to move breakfast /coffee /drinks up to the tiny rooftop bar. There was 1 poor waitress up there and she was really trying but menu was limited, the drip coffee was bad , service incredibly slow and everyone was complaining. Everything shut down for 2 full days for this party. I would have stayed elsewhere if I had known this. First night and morning were excellent but I was honestly embarrassed by what I had paid when my husband joined me for the weekend.

Staff was great and location was good but the room was incredibly disappointing. You’d think when you pay over $300 for a room plus $65 for overnight parking that you could score a room with a chair to sit in, maybe a desk and a window that wasn’t blocked by a roof and air conditioning unit.

The front desk knew I was dehydrated from travelling and would hand me a new water bottle everytime I went by the desk!! Wow, that was amazing service. The bartender upstairs (at the rooftop) was so attentive. I wanted to watch the World Series and they were extremely accommodating!! Not much....it is a very accommodating destination.

Valet guys were enthusiastic, responsive and pleasant. The breakfast on the 2nd floor is super confusing... you are not sure which door to go into. It's not like there is a stand with a HAPPY greeter or some directions on how operation/restaurant works. Then, the server behind the first coffee counter spoke so fast I could not understand her. So we went to outdoor patio not understanding that it was counter service. We were waiting for someone to take our order. On another day, the server said she was too busy to bring me coffee. Then, another day there were no cups by the complimentary coffee... I'm thinking... this changes every day I guess. I asked the lackluster/unenthusiastic guy if I could have cups and he slapped them onto the counter like there was a charge for them and it was a big deal to get them. Regarding the hotel reception desk... we extended our stay for one night. The guy did not re-key our keys. After a day in Denver, we went up to our room and could not get in. We had to go back down to get a new key. Attention to detail is something we look for in a hotel and this did not win us over.

The cabinet door covering the fridge felt like it would snap off every time I opened the fridge. The shower door was sticky and noisy when I opened and closed it. It felt like it would break off. There was a lot of alcohol in the room when I arrived. I wish I had been warned so I could have it removed prior to arrival. MOST IMPORTANT: THE ROOMS ARE NOT SOUNDPROOFED despite what the Orbitz description states. My room was over an alley and the garbage truck noise was incredible. I was also awakened by slamming doors and conversations in the hallway. I picked this hotel specifically because they said their rooms are soundproofed so I was pretty upset. It is just a typical hotel noise-wise.

Love the Clayton! It is time for them to get new mattresses though. Could feel the springs which made for an uncomfy nights sleep and I’m not a big person so would be way worse for them. The edges of the mattresses completely cave in. The shower is great - awesome pressure. Starting to see some wear and tear in the rooms - chipped paint, sink not draining. As always, the service was excellent by both front desk and valet!

Bar and dining areas really very nice. Bedroom has no workspace or a drawer, or a blow dryer (until I called). So not suitable for more than 1-2 nights, but fine for a short stay. The decor and amenities were great! Charlie was a super star! Provide A+ service to my wife and I during our stay. There was a mix up with my original booking of a King Deluxe room. Upon arrival we were told that there were issues with that room’s booking that night so we were provided a two queen bedroom. However the next morning the staff upgraded us to the junior suite with no additional charges. They took great care of the situation

The Clayton is a unique and beautiful space to getaway. It’s also a members club so people are there to work as well. Each area is well appointed. The rooms are spacious, tasteful and comfortable. Since it was rather cool we did not explore the pool. But the gym on the ground floor has everything you could need! An added perk is a token for a coffee, pastry and alcoholic beverage. There’s plenty to see and do very close by. It’s a little on the pricey side but totally a treat as we celebrated my daughter’s birthday with a mom/daughter fall break!

We have never stayed in a "Member Club" hotel and enjoyed being an honorary member during our stay, using the rooftop dining, coffee & pastries, and fitness room. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is that parking was either a couple of blocks away or valet each day.

This hotel is nestled in the sophisticated neighborhood of cherry creek. The property is stunning. Each floor is artfully curated. The staff is personal and professional at every interaction. The rooms were spacious and incredibly quiet. We didn’t need to Uber anywhere as every type of high scale cuisine was within walking distance. This is our new go to hotel when in Denver.

Great members' club hotel. Nice breakfast options, lounge is a great place to hang out. Upstairs pool is quite small as is the bar area off the pool. Basic rooms are also strangely configured, you walk in the door into your bathroom! Beds are good, hotel is in great condition. We'll likely stay there every time we visit Denver.

The hotel was great, service was fine the issue was with cleanliness. We had a half used water bottle and dried urine and other substances on the toilet seat.

When we arrived for check in, we were told that we had a Studio King. This was not the room described and any of the emails or on the phone. The room was small and extremely dark. There was a tiny corner in an alcove of the room and no lighting anywhere near the closet. We had to request towels. There was a single robe in the room for the two of us.The shower was narrow and difficult to control. We asked about changing to a different room and were told that we could swap the following day but that the room would be smaller. What was worse was the lack of concern of the entire staff. When we arrived, there were 4 workers standing outside of the hotel in uniforms. Nobody welcomed us or asked if we needed help with our bags. This is the 5th hotel that I have stayed in within a 4 block radius. I will never book the Clayton again.

My stay was from June 13-15, 2023. Check-in was seamless, quick and easy. The amenities were scarce in that none of the essentials were replenished daily. My robe was not returned after the first night and receiving additional linens had to be requested. The gratuity "chips" provided were greeted by the staff on level 2 as a "bother" and were grudgingly delivered.

Great location, hotel has excellent common areas on second floor, small rooms, frayed towels, ok staff, poor value for cost, no explanation for $35 per day destination fee

I asked for a quiet room at check-in. Instead, they put me at the front of the hotel. I was up until almost 1 AM on a Thursday due to the noise of people leaving bars and restaurants and music playing. I was then woken up by the trash collection before 7 AM. When I told this to the gentleman at checkout, he stared blankly at me and asked what I wanted him to do. The staff is very inexperienced and not trained to handle a luxury environment. Be very specific about noise levels at check in if you are sensitive to sound.

I thought this hotel was pretty overpriced - our king bed room was really small and by the time the resort fee (& its assorted taxes) was added on it worked out to be quite pricey. (We were busy while we were there so could not use the members’ facilities). On a positive side - beds were ultra comfortable and valet staff very personable and helpful.

It’s a darling hotel & the front desk staff was wonderful. We were in a 5th floor corner room & it was just super loud above us. The restaurant or club or something is on 6, and it sounded like people were moving furniture all day & night, until about 10:30pm. Our room was cute, but the toilet paper holder was falling off the wall & the lightbulb on the full length mirror in the bedroom was burned out. For what we paid a night I would just expect little things like that to be fixed & not have it be so loud all day/night upstairs.
