Breakfast area seemed new, super clean, bright and well organized. Plenty of seating, with a good amount of people hitting the breakfast bar at the same time I was. Good selection of items, including greek yogurt and fresh fruit ( really good orange!) There really wasn't anything I didn't like. The only thing I would change is the parking area, which shares space with Red Lobster's patrons. I felt like once the restaurant was closed and patrons gone, my car might be left "out in the open", which I didn't really like. I suggest separating the hotel's parking architecturally/visually so it feels more like private hotel parking, without general public access.

Our first room had bedbugs. The staff was highly apologetic and immediately moved us to a new room. In our second room, the fridge was warm and had mold growing in it. This place needs to implement some checklist-based cleaning protocols to ensure nothing gets overlooked.

No cups, towels, or tv remote, no hot running water for somebody who has a disability and needs it and they couldn’t give us another room

The staff was friendly and helpful. The few issues I had were the beds are rocks. A lot of people complained about that. The bathroom wasent cleaned well since someone shaved in the sink. And lastly the breakfast was great but the one worker was sink and coughing near it. They took there mask on and off while cleaning and coughing. They were there all weekend around the food and coincidentally I am coughing with a sore throat now. I know its going around but right near the food? Then wanted us to review the hotel right away as we just sat down.

It was an okay hotel, I had the jacuzzi suite and the water pressure on the tub was awful. It took almost an hour to fill the tub. The sink in the kitchen area did not work. Making sure all amenities are properly working is important but It was clean and the staff were nice.

The best feature of this hotel it’s the location. As for the amenities, the complimentary breakfast was limited and had few healthy choices. As for the accommodations, the fire alarm began beeping intermittently, interrupting my sleep. If that wasn’t enough, I received the wake up call one hour earlier than requested. Definitely not a pleasant experience

The room I stayed in was not clean. Had I not been exhausted and only staying one short night, I would have requested a new room. There was hair in the bed and shower, a bug in one of the bathroom towels, and odd stains on the walls too. The breakfast / common area of the hotel was standard, but my overall experience was not pleasant given the state of my room.

Hotel & Rooms have been upgraded since our last visit many years ago. Breakfast is fine - just enough with good healthy variety. Hotel staff was super.

Facilities are old and malfunction. I had to make multiple trips to the front office due to my key fob not working. It was extremely annoying and frustrating.

A very good value for the price. The breakfast was awesome. One worker was constantly bringing out food while the other was cleaning tables. The food was very good with excellent variety. The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom could use a little upgrading but it was more than functional. The heater in the room kicked on occasionally and was very loud. It woke me up some of the time and needs to be replaced or repaired.

The continental breakfast was late. I felt horrible for the worker. It was her day off and she got called in to work due to the original worker calling off. She did a great job getting things organized.

I liked how the hotel is very close to lots of stores and restaurants. The room was nice and clean. The staff especially the housekeeper was friendly. The breakfast was alright. The muffins and cinnamon rolls didn't taste fresh were kinda hard. They had cheese omelets which is always exciting but they barely had cheese in them. Bacon was amazing!

When I got to my room it smelled like mildew and cigarettes. You can see the wall warping from the water damage. When I asked Abby for a refund he stated the manager would be in the next Sunday morning. When I called the next Sunday morning, the employee told me the manager would not be in until Tuesday. I still have not received my refund for a room I did not stay in. They had a kids party playing music and stated they would end by 11 I was there for an hour and a half the music did not end till after midnight. Very poor service here I do not recommend

The people here are always friendly and helpful. Lots of great renovation work done over the last 2 years.

For the past 3 days we stayed, we smelled cigarettes smoke in a non smoking property. Doors were squeaky and can’t open and close properly either in the room or in the main hall

The halls smelled and there was mold in room around air conditioners and some spots in ceiling in bathroom

Upon arrival, we saw this facility was under construction. The room pictured online was nothing like the one we received, very misleading. It was not clean, had an odor, and was such a bad experience that we chose to not stay at all. Unfortunately all hotels in an extended proximity of this were booked, and we ended up driving home after the event we were attending in the area.

Also, I had to go to the desk to get the WiFi to work.

Disappointed - no pool because of construction. Construction area was very messy.

Didn't realize no shower curtain in room until 3am. Very dirty floor. Moved to another room which took about 45 minutes of our precious time. This room had no remote for the tv. Also dirty floor. Tub didn't drain--black residue left in tub.

Great stay. Booked room with jetted tub. Was told room was not update to remodel standards but was still offered. Opt out for regular remodel room without the jetted tub. Great breakfast with cheese omelette and turkey sausage. Great location. Remodel property with outside features to complete.

I like that it was clean. Most of the staff were friendly and breakfast was good but need more of a variety. I didn’t like when the staff wasn’t available on the weekends and were not able to do laundry because we need towels and wash clothes and didn’t make sure that we had any. They gave us hand towels.

It’s was cool but sink water never got hot and you can tell they just painted over the imperfections. The floors were very dirty and foot prints were evident.

It was very clear that the bedsheets had not been changed. I got in very late and was simply too tired to call down and either have them remake the bed or change rooms. I took face tissues and cleared off all the various hairs off the bed. The room was fine, the checking people were very friendly, just gross feeling thinking back on it

We did not stay. Found a bug one of the beds. Although the property or the rooms near the one that was given to us was non smoking there were other residents smoking.

First room had insect larvae stuck to bed and white construction materials all over the wall area. I checked out 3 additional rooms with the staff to find one that was clean enough to stay. Not clean but clean enough to make it through one night. If cleanliness is your priority, this location isn’t it.

Hair on my sheets, requested several sets and they all had hair on them. Maybe it's the housekeeper hair, but still was not ok.

It was exactly what I was looking for: a safe and clean place to sleep with free breakfast and parking. Staff was nice too and we didn’t have any problems with check in. Will return if I need a place to sleep close to Lombard and Chicago. It is an hour drive with traffic to downtown Chicago though.

We had two rooms and they changed both rooms from two queens to a single king due to overbooking. We wanted two queens in at least one room. One bathroom had not been swept and there was hair on the floor. Other than the bathroom issue, it was good.

Nice hotel and I would stay here again. I stayed here in December and the room I had was much bigger, so I’m comparing that stay to this one. This time the room was fine and had everything we needed except for housekeeping service after our first night. The breakfast is the best part about this hotel. If you leave hungry that is your fault.

When we first got there for check-in, no one was up front. I had to call for someone. Then when he was checking us in, he made a comment about the room I selected from Expedia. I chose it because the room was rated the highest, but he made me feel bad because it was an accessible room. The shower was dirty and I found loose hair around the room. The Good: Convenient location. Room was at a good temperature. Pleasantly suprised to see a microwave and mini fridge, because the itinerary didn't mention the room had it. Blackout curtains were a nice touch. Even with having a roof remodel, it was pretty quiet.

This holiday inn is for even the most fussy. It's clean quiet. The staff is friendly and efficent. Breakfast was good. Don't shy away from this Holiday.

Room was cleaned again next day when not in the room!! Which was not expected, That one could have made as an option to customer, whether to ask for or not. Though nothing was stolen but without permission getting inside the room when not around is not something I would welcome!.

Staff was extremely friendly throughout entire stay. Buffet breakfast had plenty of options. Room was clean and loved that they had 2 types of pillows with pillow cases maked soft/firm. Hotel was under construction but only reason we knew was because there were signs saying please excuse the mess but we didn't see any mess anywhere.

Clean, however, a few things that bothered me about what I paid for. I had the King Suite with the jetted tub. The problem is, when the jets were turned on, water went everywhere. On the carpet, the bed, the nightstand. Speaking of nightstand, there was only one and there was an extension cord plugged into the wall on one side and went under the bed to the other side. For the price that was paid, I expected more.

Booking thru Expedia does Not give us credit as members of high. Not good.

New updates--room looked nice. Only issue was that the toilet seat was loose and falling off--must not have tightened it down after install. Also bed squeaked loudly all night with every move either of us made, so difficult to sleep. Overall, room was nice, just some details to work out.

Stay was ok

We checked in on a weekday, not weekend. It was under renovation so it wasn't as clean and rooms are old but it'll do for a one night stay. Conveniently located by restaurants and shopping area. Staff was nice to allow late check out at no charge. Complimentary breakfast was good.

The breakfasts were excellent. they were fixing up the property to make the rooms very nice. Problem was that the smell of paint was fairly strong in our room. So probably was recently painted.

I thought the hotel was great, my room was clean and everything was up to date. The breakfast was spectacular, other guests raved about it also. They were remodeling during my stay, but it did not affect my stay. I would definitely stay there again.

Nice hotel but under construction - probably best to avoid until it's completed. Stayed there in early February and thought construction would be done already. Won't go back until its done, will call first.

Was there at 5pm and rooms wer still there gave away a couple of.hours later and kids had to be bused at 1230 in morning somewhere else

Hotel going through renovation. Rooms had already been completed but our room still showed signs that needed some work. Overall quality of hotel is lower than some other Holiday Inn Expresses I have stayed at. Noise level was fairly loud.

I wish they specified that there was construction on the property. It was a pretty big surprise when we got in. The AC was soooo loud. When we turned it off, the room got super hot. And then when we turned the AC on, it was cooler but hard to sleep cuz it’s so loud. And the AC would turn on and off itself throughout the night, so if we ended up falling asleep while it was quiet, we’d wake up again when it turned on. Vicious cycle.

We arrived to discover that the hotel is finishing up a renovation cycle — the rooms are mostly done, but missing an easy chair; the lobby has noisy construction all day; and the parking lot is being resurfaced. The end result will be worth it, I’m sure. But the goody bag with a few pieces of candy did not make up for the inconvenience!

Excellent hotel, but it is undergoing a major renovation, so some of the public areas are covered in plastic and under construction. Still very nice, just be prepared if you're wanting everything perfect for a romantic getaway.

at first I thought I had stepped into the wrong hotel altogether because I had never had such a poor experience at a Holiday Inn Express before. The rooms have no curtains whatsoever, the TV did not work and someone else's hairs were in my sheets. This hotel should be condemned.
