Rooms were very clean.Staff was very friendly
- 5/5
The staff were pleasant and efficient. Very helpful. It's an old-school motor hotel. There is some traffic noise--it's on the main thoroughfare in town, after all--but it quiets down at night. That location also makes it easy to find and easy to locate downtown amenities. One noise was delightful, btw--the whistle and chugging of the steam train that runs through downtown, on its way to Silverton. Last, I was impressed that they have dual-flush toilets--very efficient. I recommend this motel.

The mattress in two different rooms were old and sunken in the middle
- 5/5
This motel is not fancy, so the amenities are few. However, it has been remodeled recently, it is very clean and well maintained, and it is a good value.
- 3.5/5
This hotel is very very clean, it has been remodeled and is very comfortable the staff was very decent. A location is very close to a major thoroughfare in Durango and therefore the traffic noise is quite loud.

- 3.5/5
Good value. Good location. Room looked updated, but some electrical plugs by the right side of the bed would not hold a plug and didn't work. I use a CPAP machine and that was inconvenient. The mattress on the bed was worn out and you rolled to the middle. The bed sheets look like they had not been changed. I sleep on the top sheet.
- 4/5
Location and parking was fine. Good stay for an older property. No complaints.
- 2.5/5
The location is good and easily accessable. The toilet seat was barely screwed on. We had to tighten it ourselves in order to even use it. You would have thought that the cleaning people would have noticed this when doing the room. The air conditioner needs work. It sounded like someone was rustling paper in it all night long. Our bed scooted away from the headboard when we leaned up against it in the bed. Should have been locked down. The trim behind the sink is pretty sad and in need of replacement. The grout on the tub needs to be cleaned and the showerhead de-limed. Dust is on the edges of the panels of the bathroom door. This is an old motel and needs some attention to maintenance and detail. One other thing we found interesting, you could see out of the side of the door (hinge side) when the door was closed. Straight to the outside. How are the rooms warm in the winter? Wind would just whistle through. Also, no ice bucket in the room - had to get one from management person, then found the ice scoop handle to be broken off of the scoop in the ice machine. Like I said, attention to maintenance and upkeep is lacking.
- 3.5/5
Not a fancy room, however it was clean and great for our fixed budget.

Clean & reasonably priced. Road noise was a bit much - otherwise the rating would have been higher.

Location Staff had horrible attitudes, property was NOT ADA accessible at all. Room was ran down and wood floors all throughout hadn't been swept around the furniture. Spaces around entrance door were so large bugs and rodents could get in. No additional lock on door. Very loud live in manager made noise all night outside my door. When I asked to move rooms he said NO IF I WASN'T HAPPY I COULD LEAVE!!!! RUDE!!

This place has a policy that if you don't like the room they can change it within 15 minutes. The room we got had a huge gap under the door and on the side. The bed felt like it was 15 years old. I went back to the office within 8 minutes the staff made me wait 10 minutes and said it was too late to make any changes. Lesson learned don't be cheap spend the extra $50 a night so you can get a good night's rest. They basically upgraded the windows and AC unit and bathtub but the noise level was still really bad from traffic and the bed are the worst I've ever slept on.

Again, do not stay here.

It was tolerable for a one night stay but the area was not too clean or safe.

When I first arrived , my boyfriend and my dog were sitting outside. They were treated unfairly as not thought of as a guest. The gentleman was very rude.Didn't make me want to stay there , but I already booked it. Then I was asked to leave two days before the end of my stay And was made to feel very uncomfortable if I decided to stay without my boyfriend there. Overall I would not say there again!

Location was very convenient. Rates were great. Room was very plain, but clean and everything that you would need and a motel room was there.
- 3/5
You need new mattresses, that was my only problem. Mattress was not comfortable.!!
- 5/5
Clean room and very friendly staff, but the pool is nonexistent
- 1/5
Awful experience. Rude and inconsiderate front desk lady. Terrible lumpy beds. Moldy bathroom. The fridge is on its last legs and made weird noises all night. The coffeemaker barely made it.

Older, value priced motel off Main street. One of those " takes a bit to feel comfortable" stays. Room was basic with minor upgrades to the sink, tiles in shower. Bed had the dip in the middle fron usage, door had a big gap letting cold air in. (Room 113) AC heater cycling on off very loud- curtains did not totally black out the security lighting overnight. ** NOTE TO OWNER please discontinue stinky cover up cleaners. Room was gag smelly. Vineagar and water would disinfectant and not leave a lingering smell. ( Cheaper too). Nice older lady at check in.TV with many streaming options. Micro and pretty large mini fridge. For the price a toss up.

Check in was brief and friendly. Upon walking into the room I was impressed with the aesthetics of the decor. Nice vinyl flooring, nice walls, bathroom, tv. Bed was OK. Pillow cases had some fading and holes. I had a few issues however. The first issue was the water was brown in the tub when I first turned it on. After some time the water cleared up eventually, I believe they had the water off for some time to this unit. The second and major issue I had was the room was full of bugs. They were little about the size of a grain of rice but they were all over the room. Floor, ceiling, windows. Dead and alive. I must've killed over a dozen of them. I first brough this up to the lady that was at the front desk the morning of my 2nd day and she had the maid come and clean my room. Which was just emptying my trash and sweeping up the dead bugs. There were still dead and alive bugs on the window and crawling around. I asked them if they had Raid, any pesticide and they said no. They just explained that these bugs were coming from a tree outside and they go in to stay out of the cold. This was concerning as nothing was done to rectify this issue. So the next day I told the gentlemen I checked in with, told him they were even in my bag and I had to shake them out and his reaction was "oh man". But still didn't do anything to fix the problem. Again I asked for pesticide and he confirmed, they do not have it. I would not stay here again as it seems that this is acceptable in this motel.

Beds hard as a rock. The room above us, ran and stomped all night. Construction sounds.
- 4/5
Super nice staff, very clean. needs a little bit of maintenance work, but nothing too bad. Rooms were quiet but a little cold. A good deal overall.
- 3/5
The hotel quality was expected. The hot tub was off limits for some reason. The room had an amazing large flat screen, but the only way you could watch it is if you had streaming services. We didn’t, so we purchased some. Had to buy monthly packages, only to find afterward that the shows worth watching cost extra once you bought the subscription. Now, for the record, the tv did have some free stuff to watch, such as the 1st season of Alf, and a few Honeymooners episodes. But give me a freaking break! This is the first hotel I’ve ever been to that had such a poor tv setup, and it cost way more to stay there because of all the apps we had to buy. And after buying them, finding out it was going to cost even more to actually get something worth watching. I’m not even an avid tv watcher. But in the winter, when the sun goes down by 5pm and there isn’t a hot tub that they’ll let you get in, it’s pretty frustrating to stare at a 47 inch tv that cost you an extra $64.50 just to find out that you’ll have to pay at least double that to watch something beyond Hollywood Homicide or a John Tesh bio-doc from I believe 1987. The folks that worked there were great. The off season rate was reasonable, but would not pay more for the room than what we did. If the tv and/or hot tub situation was fixed, we’d definitely consider staying again as we are in the area all the time.

Beautiful stay
- 4/5
Clean room at affordable rate.
- 5/5
Everyone was friendly, everything was clean, and it was great.
- 4/5
Right on the main street. Luckily we used the only parking spot available for our truck n trailer
- 3/5
Super basic. You won't want to be in your room except to sleep and shower. NO USB PORTS - bring a wall plug-in charger. NO CABLE TV - to use the TV at all you have to cast from your phone or bring an HDMI cable and a laptop. Sheets and towels smell like Chlorox - probably a good thing. The room had a strong sweet flowery smell - of you're fragrance-sensitive this is not the place for you. There's a bank of security cameras on a screen in the lobby, so I did feel very secure. Clean and inexpensive, zero frills.
- 3/5
The property has been remodeled but pretty poorly. No heat in my room. I could see daylight all around the door
- 2/5
Heater did not wort. Had to use a space heater
- 4/5
Bathroom light did not always stay on with the first touch of the switch.
- 4/5
Good value for a budget hotel.
- 1/5
This was not the experience we expected, and we hope you take this issue seriously. We would appreciate a response and appropriate follow-up.
- 3/5
Motel was very old. Needs to be updated. Heater was one like you would put under your desk, we had to unplug it because of the noise. Price was way too much for the room we got. Would not recommend this to anyone.
- 5/5
Room was very clean! I would give this room an 8 star.
- 5/5
Rooms clean and adequate.
- 2/5
It looks nobody care about anything in this motel.
- 3/5
Staff is super friendly. Older, run-down place. Rooms were stuffy, had some over-powering air freshener scent, and the mattress has seen better days. Sinks are too tall for the vanity, and no where to hang towels. We did not get much sleep, because the place is super noisy, being right on the main road. Traffic does not really quiet down. We skipped breakfast (not really sure if there was one), since another guest parked outside our room turned their car engine on at 6:20am, and woke us. Their truck still idling when we left at 7:15am. With costs of everything increasing, this place for $115/night was over-priced.
- 5/5
We always stay at the Adobe Inn during the cowboy gathering. It is convenient enough and much more affordable than on main street
- 4/5
Clean and comfortable. They let us add an extra night.
- 2/5
If I were Hotels.com, I wouldn’t include this hotel in your listings. It is very old and not kept up very well.
- 4/5
Older building with good remodel except for not enough outlet and poor internet. Very noisy due to traffic flow near by. Entry door needs updated due to space and light coming in. Would have been nice to know about the hot tub. Add something for breakfast, even donuts and juice. The front desk folks were friendly and welcoming.
- 3/5
I was expecting a nicer room. One of the beds had a deep center sag. the other was better. the fridge had a nice sized freezer which was nice.
- 5/5
Everything was good
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
Great place, highly recommend
- 4/5
Nasty smelling room, what looks like a blood stain on the wall, really dingy stained sheets and towels. Will not recommend this to anyone. $90 is not even Budget!
- 4/5
Beds were alittle rough.
- 4/5
This is an older property but kept clean and best of all it was affordable. All I needed was a bed and shower. Worked perfectly for my needs.
- 4/5
Nice overnight stay on our way through Durango. Room was clean, great water pressure in the shower and convenient location.
- 5/5
Folks were friendly!
- 5/5
Clean and great burrito breakfast!
- 4/5
It was a fine place to stay for the night. The lighting in the rooms is stark white. Otherwise it was your standard small-ish motel.
- 4/5
James was very friendly and made the check in fun. Room was clean, although bare bones. Bathroom door did not lock and fan didn't turn on, but no inconvenience.
- 3/5
The property was conveniently located
- 5/5
We arrived late Friday night. Only second floor rooms were available. My wife can’t climb stairs, so the desk clerk gave us a free upgrade to a first floor extended stay room. The next day the desk lady did her best to help me find my missing cell phone. But later in the week we had to ask three times to get toilet paper and hand towels.
- 1/5
It’s like a halfway for drug addicts
- 3/5
We were looking for an inexpensive place to stay in Durango, and this fit the bill. However, the mattress caved in the middle and should have been replaced probably 10 years ago. We weren’t too thrilled with the daylight around the door.
- 1/5
No breakfast. Lousy coffee I can’t and won’t recommend this motel.
- 3/5
The room was dirty. When I got into the shower dirt was in the bottom of the shower from my feet from walking in the room. The hotel was rundown and in much need of remodeling. They never gave us new towels or cleaned the room when we were there.
- 5/5
Nice & pet friendly
- 2/5
The room was small but clean. The stairs and hall ways were very dirty and needed maintenance. Parking-lot not very well lit. The web pictures DO NOT really show the poor conditions the property as it is today.....
- 4/5
Everyone
- 4/5
If you just want a safe, clean place to sleep, this is a good option
- 3/5
Not much here. The rooms are semi renovated I would say. Cheap reno with the worst tile work I have ever seen in my life. But it was clean and since I was there only for one night, literally to sleep, I did not care.
- 2/5
Not very clean, feel uneasy about sleeping here.
- 4/5
Streaming TV options not great. They didn't use to have that. But good value place.
- 4/5
Clean, safe, convenient, friendly staff.
- 5/5
James checked me in and put a smile on my face just by being friendly. The room is great and parking is convenient. The AC works, it just needed an hour to get cranking. There's a cool stream nearby. The area is walkable; James recommended Fridas, an excellent Mexican restaurant about 3-4 blocks up the road. Great margaritas and tacos and excellent salsa, an easy walk. The trolley that moves people around town has a stop right here. The wifi is a little slow - but you're in Durango, go outside!
- 3/5
It had what we needed, a bed! Thank you!
- 1/5
We came in a little late after booking the room online. When we got there to check in, the office was closed, but we were greeted by a friendly gentleman. The staff was friendly but the room was filthy and we hardly slept. The bed was caved in and we checked out as soon as we could. I almost forgot to mention, parking was a nightmare. The lot was full and the overflow lot was also full, so we parked down the street in the neighborhood. Our car was fine there (thank god), but I feel like we should have been able to park by the hotel that we paid $150 after taxes and fees. Most of the reviews on this place are very accurate. Beware!!!
- 2/5
The pictures didn’t match the room we received. The sheets were stained, not saying they were dirty. We didn’t even stay in the room, we just turned in the key and left. I paid for two rooms.
- 3/5
And dead bilt would not lock
- 4/5
We were close to downtown historic shops. The train station was within a 5 min drive.
- 3/5
People were friendly and helpful. Place was old. AC could barely keep up. I saw two bugs in our room.
- 2/5
What didn’t work: room was very warm, undersized AC did little to cool. Mattress was worn, no padding, sagging in middle. Pillows old and hard. Curtains, tho dark green, were translucent, not blocking security lighting at all. I hung the bed spread over the curtain rod. Aged property, good price for area, but condition as a motel room was poor and overpriced. Horrid night sleep.
- 5/5
It was very convenient and comfortable. The staff were awesome
- 3/5
One of our rooms had dirty sheets and pillow cases
- 1/5
Nighttime staff rude and should not be in this industry. Condescending and disrespectful to female guests in particular. Go somewhere else in addition ice machine is broken and was told to go across the street and buy our own ice.
- 4/5
Simple place to stay. Reasonable price for the area.
- 3/5
Location
- 5/5
Nice place
- 4/5
The property was comfortable and fairly well kept. I just wish The ice machine wasn't broken and I had to buy a $4 bag of ice down the street.
- 4/5
Restroom had hairs. The shampoo and shower gel were not refilled. Some towels were dirty
- 2/5
The coke machine was broke and the staff was told. They just said that they didnt have anything to do with the machine. No out of order sign or anything put on it so other customers would not loose their money. The room smelled. The soap dispensers where not labled and where very slow at dispensing the product. The lady at the front desk in the morning was not very helpful at all. The rest of the staff was grreat.
- 2/5
Room was very old and not appealing. Outside of the bathroom was a vessel sink so out of place to old linoleum floors to tile. Bed was old could feel the springs. I see this turning into a rooms for homeless. I only write this to help others out. Durango’s expensive to stay and I was needing to go frequently for family medical reasons.
- 2/5
Checkin was good. Clerk gave me a first floor roo to accommodate my bad hip. Room was ok, but the TV service was terrible. It was a streaming system, and it constantly scrolled to find the program. That made watching it impossible.
- 4/5
It was perfect for what we needed. The price was good - no complaints.

- 2/5
A few things were disappointing. Air conditioning unit was iffy. Floor fan provided was very dirty. Shower hot/cold water handle came off as I was trying to turn it. Ice machine for hotel was out of service. All that said, everything else was good and price was right.
- 5/5
We had a great time, the only thing I can complain about is the parking. However, it's an older motel, and there's not much that can be done, since it's a confined space. I would say that any one with an oversized vehicle should be asked to park elsewhere.
- 5/5
Very nice economy property. Staff was excellent. Easy walking distance to the Animas river trail… less than 30 minutes easy walk to downtown Durango.
- 4/5
It was near the center of town and conveniently located near restaurants, etc.
- 3/5
It is in need of a remodel. They did remodel he bathroom sink area which is outside of the bathroom. The a/c unit is a window unit and anyone smoking outside it was like they were in my room. They told me the ice machine has been broken for 6 months so I had to go across the street to speedway to get snacks, ice and waters. They did have a microwave, coffee pot and a small fridge. I wore socks the entire time as the floor was a bit dirty. No carpet just vinyl flooring that could have been wiped and swept better. I’ve been in worse.
- 5/5
Fast clean friendly
- 5/5
James was very easy to work with and his customer service was amazing! Thank you for working with us !
- 2/5
The room, with kitchen, that I reserved was not available because I had a dog, no notice of that in booking information. Had to pay $30.00 pet fee. Ice machine broken. No bathtub stopper, so I couldn’t take a bath. Traffic noise quite loud, no weatherstripping around door frame. Pillows worn out. No cable or satellite tv, had to log in to my subscription on Netflix. No prior notice of that either.
- 5/5
The only problem was some stray hairs in the bed, otherwise it was excellent!
- 5/5
The rooms were nice.

There was no heat, no functional TV, all bathroom amenity containers were empty or broken. Do not stay here!

It’s was right in the middle of what you’d expect. Friendly staff, very middle of the road room.

My 4 piece Country band drove up to Durango, from Albuquerque, for a Saturday nite gig. Our stay at the Adobe was perfect. Affordable, close to the Honky Tonk we played at, and the place is super nice and spotless. Great Staff.

- 4/5
The room was clean and comfortable. Overall good value for the price. We would stay here again.
- 4/5
Beds are starting to say but it was still a good sleep.
- 2/5
The room is good, but they don't clean it, there is a lot of noise from other rooms, and there is not enough parking. Not recommended.
- 5/5
Worth the price! The receptionists,James was way beyond expectation. So friendly and accommodating, thumbs up!
- 5/5
Amazing location at a great price! Not the fanciest but an absolute steal for how much I paid. Well under half the price of anything else downtown. Price aside, great room, comfy bed, great reception.
- 5/5
We didn't expect much but I can say it exceeded what we thought we were getting. We didn't expect, exceptionally clean rooms, stark white clean sheets and towels, fluffy towels, a 42" SMART TV,a working heater and AC unit, microwave and mini fridge! I know these are the basics but for a small roadside motel that we paid $50 a night for it by far was WAY better than we expected. It was safe, in a good location in town and the staff was friendly! It was a great bang for our bucks! We will definitely be back!
- 5/5
The rooms are beautiful and renovated.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
I was looking for an inexpensive place to stay for one night, and this fit the bill. It's not luxe, but it had a good bed, tv, fridge and microwave...everything I needed for a quick in and out of town. It's a little noisy because it's on a busy street, but it's close to the historic streets with lots of bars, restaurants and shops, so that was nice.
- 5/5
Let me preface this with who I am and what I was looking for. I am pretty easy going and flexible when it comes to budget motels, if that's what I'm in the market for. This was a one overnight for a running trip in on, so I was just looking for basics. The Abode Inn was clean, located near the historic area, had a microwave and fridge, wifi and cable. That's all I wanted, and they delivered at a good price.

No shampoo or soap in the shower. Clerk stated they get clogged so they don’t fill them. Didn’t have any shampoo available. The floors weren’t very clean. The table had food stuck on it! Will not stay there again. I guess you get what you pay for!
- 5/5
It was very conveniently located.
- 3/5
Desk clerk very friendly
- 3/5
Reasonable budget hotel for the high price of other hotels in the city. Great for one night stay to catch the tourist steam train. Rooms have been modernized to a large degree. However, the entrance door to room could use some new insulation foam around the door. Could see the light from outside around the door; bottom of the door needs a new sweep for sure. On the plus side, the staff was great.
- 3/5
This is an older property but well maintained. Convenient to restaurants, quiet
- 5/5
The room was roomy and beautifully remodeled. Was a pleasant surprise.
- 4/5
The motel was easy to find, the clerk was very friendly, but there was a mix up in my reservation it showed the correct number of nights (4) but I was only charged for 1 night. The remaining 3 nights were more expensive than what I would've paid Expedia
- 2/5
It wasn’t good. The guy put my liscence in xerox machine and forgot to give it to me. We stayed there for the hot tub, but only one jet was working. The floor was absolutely filthy! I took a dirty towel down to show them and the woman at the desk said it was just because they had waxed the floor. The dispensers for soap and shampoo did not work in the room and the hairdryer was broken. They did give us a loaner though.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Clean but some items (chair, towels) were a a bit worn. The shampoo/conditioner dispensers were empty, simply an oversight that was quickly remedied. Hard to beat for the price!
- 5/5
I thought this bed and pillow was as good as what I have at home. How rare!
- 2/5
Dirty around the property

Dirty floors and bed kinda outdated don’t like the tv channels

this place has a good location and the room was very nice and clean. They have a very nice jacuzzi and parking was great. The only bad thing was that the ice machine was not working and they said it had been broken for about a week. They should have at least bought ice for their guests to use, but other than that the place was great.
