Reviews
The hotel generally receives negative reviews due to its outdated and unclean facilities. While the location and staff are often praised, the lack of breakfast and poor room conditions are frequent complaints.
- Convenient location
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Outdated and unclean rooms
- Lack of breakfast or limited breakfast options
- 1/5
No ac or hot water. No one at front desk. I di not recommend anyone to stay there
- 4/5
Everything was refreshed everyday and the temperature in the room was nice without being loud (some a/c units are loud and mine was not). I was also concerned about being RIGHT NEXT to the elevator but I could not hear it operate so that was great. Everyone was friendly and things were clean. They cleaned my room daily, but there was something that felt like "film" on the flooring (not the carpet) if I was barefoot. Other than that, I have no issues at all. It is a nice place to stay and I will consider it for my next time (in January)
- 3/5
Room was clean Pillows were very soft too soft and very uncomfortable and I woke up the next morning to realize my shower wasn’t working so I did not get to take a shower and I tried to inform staff that morning and the lady said that no manager was there and would be there by 9:00 I then called and asked for a manager and I explained that my shower wasn’t morning and I didn’t get to shower before I went to work, he then replied no manager is here today and would be back tomorrow. I think he was lying bc he didn’t want to deal with me asking for a partial refund. So it ended up being a bad stay.
- 4.5/5
Breakfast was fine. Usual fare for this type of Hotel. They allow pets so the cleaner/disinfectant they use left an odor in the lobby. Picky, I know.
- 3/5
Clean and comfortable
- 4/5
Convenient location. Clean hotel Nothing to complain about
- 5/5
Very clean and updated lobby and room. Very nice atmosphere. And excellent price.
- 4/5
The location was very convenient for traveling to my event. The room smelled strongly of cleaning products upon arrival.
- 5/5
Clean, easy access, value, beds very comfortable There wasn’t anything we didn’t like but when we were eating breakfast, one of the guests was on Zoom and the desk person was on a call that was on speaker and loud. Was not a very relaxing breakfast.
- 3.5/5
The beds were not great but worked for a quick overnight.
- 5/5
Very convenient when traveling thru Nashville to Florida by way of Birmingham-- Super comfortable bed. very confusing set up on how to get there! not your fault-- basically pull into Home Depot -- best way!
- 3/5
Has been updated, but still motel 6 with new paint. Breakfest in the corner of the front lobby JOKE.
- 3/5
The location was good. The staff was nice. The breakfast did not have many options. The rate was a little high for the room and what was offered at the inn.
- 3/5
Location and technically clean. Door to the bathroom wasn’t aligned so you had to pick up the door to close it, bath towel had long hair on it, hard wood floor near bed had way too much mop solution residue left over so you couldn’t walk barefoot, and bedsheets wreaked of too much chlorine. Breakfast shouldn’t even be offered because the space is nonexistent/small.
- 3/5
Everything but the brefust could be better
- 4.5/5
Breakfast could use new equipment
- 5/5
It was very clean and the staff were very friendly. We didn’t really need much but they were very attentive.
- 3.5/5
Noise on floor above my room.
- 5/5
Breakfast was ok. I wish you had bagels and cream cheese and or muffins. Milk to drink Shower tub was awkward to stand in.
- 4/5
Very clean rooms Wish breakfast was till 10:00 on weekends
- 4/5
very clean. nice staff.
- 5/5
Good location and good room. All was good.e
- 5/5
Yes
- 4/5
For a cheaper priced room you cant expect much but wasokay bed was comfortable... shower turned all the way to hot got barely warm water but not cold... overall for the money would stay here again...
- 2.5/5
Shower water was luke warm
- 4/5
Not much was offered at breakfast. The lobby is very simple and made me wonder about the rest of the property but the room was in excellent condition and very clean.
- 2/5
We booked this hotel for it's location, price, reviews, and the fact that it was recently renovated. Our room looked as though it had mold covered by paint, and upon further inspection, we could see mold behind a wall outlet. We asked the person at the front desk if we could have another room and he did without any issue. He didn't seem surprised or apologize, but he was pleasant and accommodating. Even though there was newer furniture and paint, it was just new stuff covering old. The bathroom smelled like mildew/mold. The beds were a little firm, especially if you're a side sleeper. Also, the people above us were making a bunch of noise and woke us up at 6:30, so there's not much of a noise buffer. It was fine to spend a night, but we would not stay here again.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, comfortable beds
- 2/5
Bathroom was dirty. Bathroom wall outlet did not work. Elevator has an awful odor.
- 3/5
There were some pretty good breakfast options. Not a bad stay for the price!
- 1/5
The room was clean. Temp was very hot, and too much freshener for anyone with lung issues. The continental breakfast was very disappointing.
- 1/5
Water took 45 minutes to get warm
- 5/5
Very clean. Walk in shower was very helpful
- 5/5
Great clean place. Friendly staff, great price.
- 3/5
It wasnt much
- 4/5
The room was nice and clean, and the staff were friendly. The only issue I had was that we were charged extra after we had already left the hotel. We advised them that we had a pet and a service dog, and I feel that we should have paid up front for any additional fees.
- 2/5
The room was renovated but filthy dirty. Hair and debris in the shower and on the bedsheets. When we woke up after our first night there we saw 2 roaches in our room so we left! We didn’t mention the roaches but asked if we could make sure the room was cleaned. They never cleaned it- so we just packed up and left and forfeited the rest of our stay. I had my kids with me so dealing with roaches was not something I wanted to do
- 5/5
No comments , just think was a nice stay
- 5/5
The rates were good, great handicap room will Roll-in shower. The staff are friendly and helpful. Great stay!
- 5/5
Nice little hotel. It seemed like it was new. Clean and not far off the interstate. There is not much around the hotel but other hotels, so not a good spot if you like to walk places. The breakfast was primarily bread based items, so if you want eggs and bacon, you'd need to go somewhere else. The staff was friendly and prompt. My room had more towels than I have ever seen before in a hotel room. I really liked that. I would stay again.
- 4/5
This was a great stay at the right price. Quiet, very comfortable beds, attentive staff. The only thing lacking for our family is the breakfast options.
- 1/5
I was promised a phone call once the maintenance confirmed the water issue but received no call.
- 4/5
The area is very nice. In Front of the hotel is this place High Rope Class. The Temple for the The Church of JeausChrist of Latter Day Saints is just 15 minutes away
- 5/5
Fantastic
- 2/5
Hotel under construction filthy elevator, room with broken furniture light switches that didn't work, hot water did not last long.Could not get receipt at the end of stay breakfast food ran out and had nothing to eat.Never again
- 2/5
Shower faucet dribbled constantly. The shower handle came off. There's mold or something black on the shower ceiling. Sheets in one of the beds weren't clean, and I don't know what it was but the big red spot on the comforter didn't look sanitary.
- 4/5
Clean and decent enough, but clearly older hotel with some obvious repairs needed. (For instance, the electrical outlet in my room was extremely loose in its wall socket and felt potentially unsafe. How hard would it be to fix that?)
- 4/5
It was a comfortable bed after 12 hours of driving
- 1/5
I reserved a double handicapped room, was charged for it but I was told on arrival they did not have a room for me, and would refund the charges. As of yet I have not received a refund.
- 5/5
It was fine
- 1/5
This stay was awful from the beginning! The smell was nauseating. Musty, smoke filled. My five year old said the pillows smelled like- "old man" straight from the mouth of babes! Dirty needs an update. Not even sure if the bedding was changed. Found hairs in bed and tub hoping they were from housekeeping and not the previous guest. Slept in my clothes. Carpet had wrinkles and needed to be stretched, definately a trip hazard for elderly or handicapped. Walls had black mold on them. Breakfast was toast and cereal. You were lucky if you were there when they put out the 2 yougurts at a time in a kitchen bowl with ice! Worst stay ever.
- 3/5
This place was the PITS!!! Will never stay here again. The room was damp. No coffee maker in room and breakfast area was closed at 10:00 am not to open until 6:00 am the next day. Decor of room was 70ish. Don’t bring children because the pool is not in operation. Domino pizza will not deliver to this hotel. That should tell you something. The odor at the elevator smelled of weed.
- 2/5
Horrible is all I can say.I have stayed in the same area where this is located, and this is by far the worst of the other hotels in the area. Dirty and very out dated.
- 1/5
Very rude over charged me absolutely disgusting rooms. The fridge in our rm was broken and had mold in it. The pool they say they have looks like it hasn't been open in years. I wouldn't recommend this place
- 1/5
Un lugar muy sucio no me vuelvo a quedar ahí!
- 2/5
Disgusting! Stains, worn out furniture. Terrible.
- 1/5
The property was filthy, moldy and run down. The doors were broken and torn, patched with card board pieces, the carpet stained multi colors and tub black. The smell was disgusting and rotten. I walked out and went elsewhere. Do not go
- 1/5
The hallway smelled horrible and there was a recliner in the room that should have been in the dumpster.
- 1/5
Terrible management that was rude when I asked for a refund due to the smoke smell… mold and broken amenities in room.
- 1/5
The chair was peeling. The hallway reeked of tobacco smell. No receipt & no e-mail w/ receipt.
- 1/5
very bad
- 2/5
This was our 3rd (and last) stay at this hotel. Maybe a management change caused it go down hill. I asked for an extra pillow and the clerk said "we don't accommodate extra pillows" - WHAT ?? Overall - on a scale of 1 to 10 - this stay earned the hotel a 2.
- 1/5
The place is filthy, the rooms stink and the breakfast is a joke, the fridge where they keep the milk is just disgusting.
- 2/5
Hotel was dirty tile in bathroom was all broken. Didn’t expect it to be great but I expected it to be clean. I’ll never stay at a America best value again
- 1/5
Its was dirty floor following apart so unsafe
- 1/5
I would not recommend this place for families. The hallways smelled like weed and there wasn't enough staff on duty to do the job needed. Also breakfast was the worst ever. Little Debbie snacks, that's it. If you ever forget or leave something behind, they want to charge you $10 per day to keep it and it is not guaranteed they will have it for you when you return to pick it up. Customer service was terrible, phone was ringing forever because again, not enough staff. Special requests were also ignored.
- 1/5
Terrible customer service. I brought dogs and had to use the stairs with a 15yr old husky being one of them. Found drugs in the bed. Put the blankets out in the hallway for someone to pick up then had a person knock to tell us to put it back in the room. If my dog ate ecstasy and died from this there would be a huge lawsuit. No one apologized and they rushed us out the door when we left and was told to hurry up and leave. I will be telling everyone how terrible this hotel experience was and we travel a lot. Never will I stay at another America’s best value.
- 3/5
for the price it served its purpose. i night on a 1839 mile rountrip 4 day vacation. bathroom tile cracked, bathroom door did not close corretly, stains on carpet. the employees professional. breakfast not very appealing. clean bathroom, clean sheets. probably will stay elswhere next time.
- 1/5
Smelled like weed when we arrived. The carpet was filthy and the room was just as bad. We checked out shortly after arriving and found a different hotel. Did not want me or my child to endure the smell all night.
- 1/5
Everything was dirty. The bathroom door in our room was splattered with something, the shower had mold, the carpet was coming unattached along the walls, and in the hall the ceiling tile had a big wet spot.
- 3/5
Room was not very clean. There was stains on the hair dryer. It looked like lipstick stains. The hallway smelled funny and the elevator smelled like cigarettes. The bed was comfy. It was a cheap place to sleep.
- 2/5
No coffee maker in room. Staff questioned us whether we paid for our pet fee. Staff stood and watched us as we took our pets out to walk. Staff seemed like they were annoyed that we were not checking out earlier because they were ready to clean the room, stood in the hall watching us as we carried our bags out. Just a bit rude.
- 3/5
My room was fine, nothing special, just needed a place to sleep. However, my friend's room was horrible - uncovered and falling out of the wall outlet, smoke detector taped to the ceiling, walls dirty/stained, chair almost completely peeled of it's fake leather.
- 1/5
We had friends check in before us an their room as NASTY. No way we were staying there. When I talked to the desk they refused to just cancel our reservation since we booked through Hotels.com and did not cancel more than 48 hours before. There was “stuff” (looked like fecal matter) clumps on bathroom walls. Chair looked to have been crapped on and tried to wash off but not well. Wall outlets had no covers and were hanging out of the wall. I would not have let my dog sleep in there. If that’s what we could see - what could we NOT see?
- 1/5
It was the most disgusting room I’ve ever stayed in we all will be lucky if there’s not bugs crawling on us.
- 3/5
Place was dirty and worn down. Only stayed the one night as planned. Any longer I would have went elsewhere.
- 1/5
Let me just start off by saying, I’m not afraid to stay at a roadside motel. I’ve stayed in hostels, motor inns, cabins, tents etc… I’m also a frugal person and this was cheaper by about 50$. It is extremely run down. It was missing drawer fronts. Multiple things were broken. That, I don’t even mind. What was unacceptable was how absolutely dirty the place was. There was dirt everywhere. The carpet looked and felt as though it has never been washed and was sticky. The walls were dirty. Bathroom, dirty. Towels, also dirty. The pillowcases had cigarette burns in them. I wore my shoes the entire time. If there had been any other accommodations available near us, I would have left. I would highly recommend not staying here. Spend the extra 50$, trust me.
- 1/5
Our room had a faux leather chair that was peeling....peeling chipped paint and other disrepair. Police directly outside our window with bubbles on in the middle of the night. Loud stomping noises above us (alot) and we were the 1st room off the lobby. I have asked for a refund. Please help me with this.
- 2/5
It was on ok stay. I would not stay here again unless it was a have to sorta case. We stayed on the bottom floor so there was so much noise. Also at all hours of the night you could hear the front desk workers walking the halls talking very loudly.
- 1/5
I booked this room when travelling to Florida with my 4 kids. At check-in, one of the associates was wearing a mask and holding a spray bottle labeled "malodor spray". I knew this was a bad sign. When we walked into the room, it smelled musty, moldy, and of cigarette smoke. The beds were tiny. My kids, who are generally impressed with even the most basic hotel room, were appaled by the state of the room. Stains on sheets and towels, tree branch pieces between the blanket and sheets, and just generally poor conditions. The room was non-refundable so we decided to leave and find another hotel.
- 2/5
It was nasty
- 2/5
Smokey smelling in hallway as some rooms allowed smoking. Needed to segregate. Also chair in room was GROSS.
- 2/5
No emailing printer at desk
- 1/5
Nothing really positive to say about this place. Front desk asked for 15$ cash upon check in for room that was prepaid. Stated that he really wanted it in cash several times. When I told him I don't carry cash he said nevermind. Everything in the building is in disrepair. Do not stay here unless you absolutely have to. Rooms are bad beds aren't comfortable water doesn't get hot. Stay somewhere else.
- 1/5
The staff didn’t speak English well so the customer service was horrible. The front desk was rude. We wanted a extra day they told us they had no more rooms. If we are in the room why couldn’t we keep it. Oh we checked out so fast. Can’t argue with so one that don’t understand English .
- 2/5
The toilet did not work, the tv did not work, there was a red light in the bathroom that did not go off the whole time we were there. They were booked up and would not be able to change our room. No help from the front desk. The people working were very friendly and the bed was comfortable.
- 4/5
Ok for 1 night
- 3/5
Not enough parking outside my room.
- 1/5
The room we were given was a smokng room and we didn't know until we entered in it. The hallway reeked of smoke. It reeked off smoke and gross mildew in the room. The ceiling had a huge water stain and had a bubble look to it. The towel in the bathroom was broken right where the toliet was. There was a food wrapper found right at the edge of the bed, so it's clear they didn't really clean.
- 1/5
I can’t believe hotels.com had this place for $80! Very dirty and I have low standards. Broken tile, worn carpet, smells like cigarettes. The chair is held together with duct tape. I only stayed here because they allow pets and then I was charged a $15 fee for my dog in case of damage. Um ….
- 5/5
The front desk was very nice! rooms were clean! we would definitely recommend!
- 2/5
Holes in wall, recliner chair lost all its phony vinyl coating, very thin walls and very noisy. If you don’t get the breakfast early there is nothing left to eat (not very well tended dine area). It is cheap for Franklin.
- 3/5
The bathtub and the toilet was leaking in our first room but the guy at the front counter put us in another room. The bathtub was still leaking which he let us know the plumber was coming in the morning. We only stayed one night so im not sure if he came or not. Overall, the desk guy was nice and the room was clean.
- 4/5
economical price for a short stay. The room had some repair issues. breakfast was extremely basic.
- 2/5
And breakfast what a joke, toast and cereal, and mini honey buns. Yeah pass.
- 2/5
The tub faucet dripped all night. The base boards in bathroom were moldy and rotten and had black mold.
- 1/5
A look at the pictures shows how disgusting this place was. Pull out couch broken, recliner old and had holes, electrical outlet broken, refrigerator clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a while as evidenced by the ice, door lock has blue funk around it, hairs on the bathroom floor, bathroom had not had a good cleaning in a while
- 1/5
Friendly staff and very polite, but the room was very dated, dirty walls, lots of poor main in bath area, the most terrible looking chair was totally disgusting, I would prefer they through it out wearing gloves, the staff said it was scheduled for a total upgrade last year but was delayed due to Covid, they should be closed
- 2/5
Upon checking in the clerk took at least 10 minutes to get me checked in. Usually, when staying at a hotel, check-in is about 2-3 minutes. After waking up we tried to take a shower but the water was barely even warm. Too cold for wife to shower. There was plenty of hot water coming out the sink faucet. Notified manager who offered to send someone up to check shower, but we were getting ready to leave and didn't need maintenance in while wife was getting dressed. Breakfast was a joke. Cereal with no milk, 2 packages of very small honey buns, juice and coffee. I've stayed at this hotel brand before with much better results.
- 4/5
It's safe and clean low budget motel, with interior corridors, plenty of parking, and right by a Cracker Barrel restaurant. Convenient to downtown Franklin and a quick drive up the freeway to Nashville.
- 1/5
Front desk manager will not order a taxi for you! Not one single take out restaurant around! Area looks so spooky and scary at night! Fighting inside rooms! Will Never recommend it to anyone!
- 5/5
Very clean Very convenient for my matter Friendly
- 2/5
We stopped overnight on our way home from a trip. Convenient location. Good Parking lot. The rooms were very dated. One of the beds had a huge visible dip in the mattress. The main sleeping area appeared fairly clean but the bathroom was atrocious. There was debris in the back of the toilet lid. The floor was very dirty; Lot of loose dirt and particles on the bathroom floor. Does not appear to have been swept in a long while
- 4/5
Bathroom door panels were dirty. No tissues in rooms. Pillows very flat, but for the money it was a pleasant stay and would do it again.
- 2/5
The staff was friendly enough, and the bed was fine, but the shower in room 106 did not work, internet was extremely spotty, bugs in the room. Cigarette smell in the hallways. Need many capital improvements.
- 3/5
No tissues in room and desk stated none available. Easy Chair in room very old and fake leather was peeling. All else okay.
- 1/5
I checked out I went to another hotel - I am expecting a full refund of the money I paid to Expedia for this property. Extremly dissatisfied!!
- 4/5
Adequate for the price.
- 5/5
Great service! So friendly and great location for the Pilgrimage festival. Bed was comfy and the shower had a rotating shower head!
- 1/5
The room was filthy. Never cleaned during my 4 night stay. They only changed the towels. Asked to have the room cleaned and vacuumed. The manager pointed down the hall and told me the vacuum was in the closet. I don't work for the hotel, why should i be cleaning it. There was dust everywhere. I wont stay there again and i am in this city for the next 3 months
- 3/5
The room was stinky & the towels felt like sand paper. I air dried to keep from rubbing that hard towel on my body. I know it’s not a 5 star hotel, but this was disappointing
- 3/5
This hotel appears to have not updated, repaired, replaced anything in over 20 years. From cracked concrete to chipped paint, old and tipped carpeting, visible mold, rotted wood , smoke discolored rooms, walls, antique phones that don’t work, antique key system that doesn’t work, front lettering on sign missing letters and needs paint, chipped paint on old roof, stopped up sink in ladies bathroom that my wife brought to mgr attention on Thursday that was still stopped up on Monday, dirty windows , dirty mirrors, no maintenance and no drive to do better from the staff . If the owners don’t care they have no incentive to make it better. It would be a good location for a nice hotel. The Spanish workers that occupy the first 2 floors and get a special rate fironh stay is the only thing that’s keeping this place open. Pretty pathetic .
- 5/5
Friendly staff, nice and clean rooms with daily housekeeping.
- 2/5
Room was dirty had mold and smelled bad but it was cheap and somewhere to sleep that’s all we needed it for.
- 4/5
The room needs a remodel job. Visible mold, broken lamp shade, chipped paint , but a comfortable bed.
- 5/5
This was a good property for the price. It shows some age, but it is safe and affordable. The staff that we encountered was friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
I did not like the trash bins full
- 3/5
Good
- 2/5
Carpet in hallway was buckled, lamps in room were dusty, lampshade on floor lamp was falling apart, and there was an old couch sitting at the front entrance. I did not want to walk barefoot on carpet in room. Beds were comfortable.
- 4/5
Nice folks
- 4/5
The location, price and service met my needs perfectly. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The building needs repair: cracked ceilings, very worn carpet, wall paper falling off in the hallways.
- 4/5
The bathroom had a lot of black, long, and fuzzy hair. Plus a peanut in the corner of the floor.
- 2/5
There was only one washcloth left in the bathroom. There wasn't a liner bag in the ice bucket. The hairdryer wouldn't work either. It looked like it had never been changed out. Between my husband & I, we made 4 trips to the desk to ask for things we shouldn't have had to. I will add it to my list of "never book again".
- 2/5
Needs updated. Room was dark and dingy with a musty smell. There was no breakfast as advertised, the breakfast area was not in use. The equipment was there but no lights or food prepared. It was overpriced and questioned the cleanliness of the entire room.
- 3/5
Booked a smoking room with 2 doubles, got a call on my way there saying the double booked that room and had to give me a different one, not a huge deal but ok. When i got to the hotel they said it was due to a maintenance issue.. ok.. sure. The room i ended up in had a sink thay would not turn off, the light would blink for 3 or 4 minutes before turning all the way on, and there were pistachio shells on the floor near the beds. We did not have any pistachios.
- 3/5
They need to update the rooms. Curtains and lampshade broken. Beds not comfortable.
- 4/5
I liked the distance to restaurants. I disliked the age of carpeting and facilities. But overall a good nights stay.
- 1/5
The room have broken furniture and the walls where dirty. The room have a bad smell. I ask to be changed to another room, this one room was cleaned. The out side of the hotel; man hangs around or sit on a Green sofa that is out side the main office. I didn't feel safe coming into the place for the reason that man just stired and are checking people out. I won't ever come back to this place.
- 3/5
It wasn't
- 2/5
We didn’t like anything the property was in disrepair broken tiles old worn furniture
- 1/5
The bed was comfortable. The walls had holes in them. The leather recliner was ripped and in such bad shape that we wouldn’t even sit on it. The floor was filthy. The bath tub was dirty and very stained. Toilet barely worked. I would not recommend this place.
- 3/5
The place wasn’t very well kept in the room we stayed in.
- 5/5
Clean, quiet, and comfortable. All I ask for.
- 2/5
The condition of my room was Definitely unexpected. The bedcovers were torn and stained, phone wires were exposed, and the fridge did not work. Upon entering the hotel the smell of smoke was very strong.
- 2/5
It was a Very dirty room. Dog’s food was on the floor.
