Close to my office.

Breakfast could have been better. Limited selection
- 4/5
The property was nice and clean but there must have been a junior sport tournament going on because they ran the pool, breakfast and elevators. It was insane how much better it was there during the last 3 days and the kids were gone. Make sure next time to check reviews before we stay.

The room was clean, the hotel facilities were well maintained, and the breakfast was very good. Overall, I had a great stay and would recommend this hotel.
- 4/5
Good location if you're doing business in Irvine. Friendly staff and clean rooms and easy access to highways.
- 3/5
Bathrooms and overall room cleanliness were okay, but walls were thin and we heard people next to us and above us throughout our stay, quite a bit more than other hotels. Other wise, things were fine.
- 5/5
The hot tub was working, then not, then maintenance was supposed to come out, then not, oh but it’s working (but really it isn’t). Otherwise, the room itself is rather awesome and parking is easy.

Everything was great

Great service

Indoor swimming pool
- 4/5
It was a good hotel I liked how it was a mini kitchen to be able to cook instead of eating out my entire trip, the room was spacious & it was within walking distance to restaurants/ coffee shops the only complaint I have is the 20$ daily parking fee I felt like it should be free parking given the fact that there was enough parking spaces to accommodate guests… then then that I have no complaints.

Amazing staff, clean and tasteful room, great breakfast, they even had gf English and chocolate muffins in the back! Amazing will definitely stay in the suite again!
- 4.5/5
The free breakfast was wonderful! If you wanted a full breakfast they had it. If you just wanted yogurt or a bagel they had that. Everything was well stocked and the staff were friendly. The location is wonderful! Short drive to the beach. Short drive to a huge variety of restaurants. Checking in on Thursday I had requested an early arrival at noon and the room was ready when I got there. I made a stupid mistake and accidentally double booked the room. The woman at the front desk took care of it with no issue. Sorry, I didn't get her name but thank you for your help! It started my vacation on a good note. I was disappointed that the spa was not working. It is one my favorite things to do. The pool was open so I used that instead.

Room was nice and spacious, bed comfortable. Breakfast decent with lots of different food. Location was convenient. Picky, but no trash can in the grooming area, just in the bathroom, had to open door, go around it and find trash can. Also, the Sport Court was interlocking tiles, not a good surface for basketball, pickleball, etc. A fall and it's like landing on a cheese grater. Slippery when wet...

Rooms were not very clean. Dirty door handles, fridge handles, carpets were visibly dirty

ADA room was underwhelming and lacked functionality in shower/tub combo

It was close to my destination. It’s clean, very friendly staff. I think over $200 for 1 night is excessive. Parking should be included

room was clean and amenities available.

The hotel is very nice! The room looks new with nice decor and furniture. Easy check-in. Friendly staff. Very close to the airport. I think breakfast was not so great! But it was okay. And our room had a lot of pets fur. So my clothes were full of fur. Also, I'm allergic so it was a bit of an issue for me.

Very nice hotel. However check-in was a problem. On a previous reservation, I was able to check-in early. This time, check-in took a long time. Had an event to attend and this check-in for 4pm put us behind schedule. I feel I’m paying for that full day but not getting the benefits of my room until 4pm. Kudos to Charles for checking me in when he did.

The team enjoyed the outdoor area and pool in the evening hours to socialize and relax by the fire pit. Even though the pool area closed at 10 the staff said we could come inside to continue socializing so we appreciated that. One of the elevators was broken the entire stay (Friday through Sunday). We were there for a soccer tournament with one working elevator and there was a line waiting to go up or go down the whole time. Also the working elevator stopped in floor 4 and wouldn’t go down or up and we were all in it and we had to exit and take the stairs. We reported this to the front lobby. Although it was a holiday weekend we were very concerned there was no urgency to fix the broken one.

Location is perfect - facing the main thoroughfare, yet not noisy. Room was spacious. Morning coffee was good.
- 4/5
Very nice hotel great location well organized
- 3/5
It was fine
- 2/5
Also, windows that do not open and noisy AC made a terrible sleeping
- 5/5
It was amazing to have a studio with a living room and kitchen and it was newly remodeled! It felt like home away from home.
- 5/5
Check-in process wonderful. Appreciated the help by Henry Flores. I’ve stayed at the Residence Inn before, the current renovations are absolutely beautiful. Hope to stay again.
- 1/5
The hallways smelled like refuse. Trash bags were left behind in the hallways for hours. The rooms smelled dirty and dingy. Dishes in the rooms were dirty. Cost was the only good factor.
- 4/5
It was nice having 2 seperate rooms in a unit
- 5/5
We loved our stay here. The room was beautiful and perfect for what we needed. The staff was great and responded when we needed a small repair. This will be our go to place when ever we are in the OC!
- 1/5
During my stay, there was a fire alarm twice; I had to run out of the building in the middle of a shower. After 10 minutes outside, they announced it was a false alarm, but twice. Another thing is that whatever the next room or hotel kitchen cooked, I could smell and figure out what kind of food they were cooking. I reported to the front desk, and they said, “Oh, I'm sorry!!”
- 1/5
Another thing to complain is $15 of parking per day, which is really hard to accept in a place like Irvine.
- 3/5
Hotel was very noisy during our stay, there was a conversation right above our room. Also breakfast was terrible
- 4/5
Front desk staff and their help
- 4/5
Breakfast great, hot meal, variety. Shower not so great, water output weak.
- 2/5
I was moved to their sister hotel for a reason unknown. Property was fine, dirty floors, somewhat smelly.
- 3/5
the bad part is the condition of the room: the bed sounded like the springs were sprung. the toilet seat broke and was replaced. the ice maker in the fridge was broken and replaced. our room was on the second floor and looked out on a roof area that held air conditioning units. although they did not run all the time, they were there and occasionally noticeable noise wise. this hotel needs a makeover. as a seasoned Residence Inn customer, this hotel was quite the disappointment. next time I'm staying at the Staybridge Inn on Barranca Parkway
- 5/5
Nice big room clean and over all great stay for families

Upon checking in, the hotel appeared to be clean and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly. However, when I tried to take a shower, I discovered that the water was only lukewarm at best. I assumed it was a temporary issue and waited for it to warm up, but it never did. But the next day the hot water came out.
- 3/5
Dogs barking constantly on our floor. Very annoying. Reported to from t desk a few times. Should put all dogs on one floor and at least let people paying a lot of money to stay there KNOW there is a dog next door. Why not put non dog people on separate floor?
- 5/5
nice clean good service
- 5/5
Smart tv was great when it worked
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 4/5
Very clean and quiet rooms
- 4/5
Lovely suite close to many things. Friendly front desk check in. No waters offered however and parking fees for a big open parking lot is silly after paying to stay here. Otherwise all positive.
- 5/5
It feels safe. Parking is super easy. The facility is super nice. The rooms are spacious. Really nice to be in the 6th floor. Love it here. Will definitely come again.
- 5/5
OK
- 1/5
Of Urine ; asked For ice For an injury and were made To wait and treated poorly at every turn - the customers were rude too- cut in front of you at the coffee table, same for the breakfast and the elevator as well. Never - never- never again irvine resident inn by Marriott ! Asked for general manager and was told In a meeting and That he would call us- never did.
- 4/5
Having the hot breakfast every morning was great for our family. We were able to save on dining out. We also loved the pool and jacuzzi great for kids and families. The sweet was spacious and comfortable for our family of 4.
- 4/5
The rooms are fine and usually have all that is needed, although this time around it lacked dishes. The bed was also a little soft, caving in and the pillows were thin. However the friendly staff makes up for it. We will still go back.
- 5/5
We were happy with the size of our room and with the privacy we had. The staff was friendly and we had a very comfortable stay.

An employee working the desk on 2/17/24 in the evening had a problem with a combination of an expired drivers license, and state issued laminate paper renewal ID that the DMV gave me while writing for my actual ID card in the mail. This temporary ID had an updated picture, as it’s the picture from the new ID, clearly states that it is valid ID until it expires, and matched the old expired ID in every way. She called a manager, and they together decided that this was not good enough ID for them, and that they wouldn’t give me the room that i reserved and paid for in advance. This was after 10pm on Saturday night. I overheard a conversation on the phone between them, before the manager came in person discussing the number of nights i was there and what my rate was. I also overheard that they were completely booked up that night. I’m curious why, if the problem was the validity of my ID, my rate and length of stay was privately discussed between them first. Did they plan to turn me away and rent the room for more? I had to speak with them for some time, showing them exactly on the ID where it said it was valid ID, and explaining what an unprofessional decision turning me away under these conditions would be. They told me to “find a friend” in town I had just traveled to, or find another hotel. I sat down to try to figure this out, and they went into a back room. About 5 minutes later they came out and said they’d “help me out” and let me stay there. Very unprofessional.

Beautiful office areas surrounding the hotel
- 5/5
Thank you
- 5/5
Love the location and parking. Rooms ate clean but I detected a musty smell throughout. Staff and service exceed my expectations. Breakfast buffet is nice with good options.
- 5/5
Loved everything about this hotel! Easy check in. Very spacious and clean room. Nice ambiance. We enjoyed the heated pool, jacuzzi and fire pit at night. The outside area is beautiful and feels like a resort. Great place to stay!
- 3/5
not a bad hotel based on the location. not much around food wise within walking distance (probably not their fault). No USB ports in the room, which was surprising.
- 5/5
I had little interaction but the room was clean and everything I needed. There are grocery stores to walk to and pharmacies. I didn’t need a car at all.
- 5/5
We had a great night, but even better morning, with a full hot breakfast
- 5/5
I liked the soda water!! The breakfast was delicious and staff was generous and friendly.
- 5/5
Staff at front desk were very helpful, pleasant, and answered all my questions.
- 5/5
Perfect space for our family for the night!
- 5/5
Everything was good
- 5/5
good location and well prepared
- 5/5
This is just what you’d expect from an airport hotel of this size. It’s easy to find, check in is quick and painless. The room is clean and mostly just fine. We didn’t need the kitchenette and other “home” options, but it’s nice that they’re there. Pool looks nice, didn’t go. Unexpected item: free sparkling water on tap in the lobby. Free breakfast in the morning.
- 5/5
Clean. Quiet. Convenient. Great location.

- 5/5
Close to airport

Bathrooms were dirty. Air conditioner unit was extremely loud. Carpet in living room was wet. Complimentary body wash dispenser was empty. Upon arrival we were informed daily housekeeping upon request. We requested. NOTHING was done. We had to ask for clean towels at 9:pm at night. Very disappointing.
- 4/5
Don't like ,closing doors early and parking are relatively small for the property

Thanks

Clean property. Convenient area, about 15 min from beach. Decent breakfast, nice pool/gym. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Outstanding!
- 5/5
Stsyed here many times Love it .
- 5/5
This was a very nice property located close to John Wayne airport. Large suite with full kitchen, living and dining area separate from the bed/bathroom. The breakfast buffet was good too.
- 5/5
Very nice and clean. The room was large and check in process was pretty fast. Very safe area.
- 3/5
The hotel needs a renovation. Compared to the staff in other hotels in the same area the staff here could be more friendly. The gym is a joke. I reported for 1 week daily that there are no cups in the gym for the water, nothing changed. I reported 2 weeks almost daily that there is water staying in my dishwasher. They always just activated it, but nothing changed after a few days a technician came did the same and said he will come later when its finfish and check it again but he never returned.
- 5/5
Stay was great only thing was the bed was not comfortable other than that staff was assume
- 5/5
Super convenient to stay here with kids and a dog. Our room was quiet, clean, and well-stocked for a longer stay. The staff were all really nice. Several restaurants within easy walking distance. Definitely recommend.
- 5/5
Spotless room, great location and wonderful staff.
- 5/5
Upon my morning call, I was granted my request. I did not like being denied what was promised as I achieved the frequent booking membership accomplishment. Yet, except for that one desk clerks attitude and abruptness, the stay was nice and up to Marriott standards.
- 5/5
Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff
- 5/5
I really liked the service
- 5/5
Friendly .Professional.
- 5/5
Nice stay with family
- 2/5
The room was not cleaned after two days even though it was supposedly scheduled by the front desk. There was no word or warning that the channel to show the World Series prior to booking. I was not aware of third party issues when booking. I will not keep my Marriott Card, will pay off the balance and shred.
- 3/5
The fact that there is no real privacy between the dressing area and the bedroom is somewhat concerning and there is little movement ability because the door to the shower area is wrong ergonomically
- 5/5
always a good place to stay
- 5/5
Very friendly customer service
- 5/5
What i liked was that the lady whom i called (before booking) was willing to accomadate my children and I with an early check-in without a problem and when we arrived we were checked in in about 2 to 3 mins max and the security deposit eas only $20 which was a huge help
- 1/5
Staff at reception was not at all friendly, neither was the housekeeping staff. Floors smelled terrible. Overall, would not recommend
- 4/5
Nice, clean, quiet, and near by the airport
- 4/5
Friendly staff. Travelled on a business travel and hence company had given a card (forex loaded) which did not have name in it. So there were some discussion and clarification and have to secure it using another India card and paid using business travel card. Kindly ensure you also have forex card friendly payments Payment was do
- 4/5
The suite had an odor that smelled like cat food. We weren’t able to switch to another suite as the hotel was full. Other than that we enjoyed our stay, the staff were very nice, the breakfast was good, and the facility is very nice.
- 3/5
Staff is terrific - friendly, efficient, thoughtful. We had problems with our rooms and they tried their best to assist, including maintenance and front desk. Internet was iffy - on and off. Key maker was down for 1/2 day so no keys could be made (staff walked us up to room). Facilities issues: shower handle was frozen and then came out of wall, so one of the rooms could not shower that evening. Leak from frig water dispenser could not be repaired, so no water or ice. Tub drain got clogged and water backed up so it was filled with filthy water - maintenance tried but needed plumber. We changed to a new room. Glass shelf had old toothpaste from previous guest, and coffee cup in cabinet was dirty with coffee residue. Prob went through dishwasher but didn’t get clean.
- 5/5
We went for the weekend and it was completely full, but you wouldn’t be able to tell. There was enough parking, it was super quiet, everyone was polite and friendly. The kitchen is great when you don’t want to go out to eat or need to keep some breakfast foods cold for your little ones or yourself. There was a stove top, microwave and toaster. Saved us some money so we weren’t constantly eating out. Definitely loved being back.
- 4/5
Overall is fine, rooms are clean. Only hiccup is that both of the TVs in the two bedrooms were very slow to respond to the remote thus difficult to use Netflix and YouTube for the kids. The TV in the living room/main area is a little better (still sluggish) so we ended up just using that one.
- 4/5
One thing I was very unhappy about is the breakfast. The breakfast is served on styrofoam... which has been banned in a lot of places already. It is most environmentally unfriendly choice, and I can't believe Marriott group is okay with still using it. I will have to reconsider staying at a Marriott property just because of this one thing. And for the actual breakfast, there was really no variety, and a very meager choice for vegetarians.
- 2/5
The gentleman at the from desk (name Charles) told us he had found us another room at another hotel that happen to be 20 minutes away. Since we're being inconvenience he would comp the room plus breakfast & a drink if we want it. We were too tired to go back and forth with him so we said ok. Upon arriving to new location and checking into our room we come find out the were are being placed in a handicap room. So much for the bubble bath my wife wanted to have. We were told upon check in that breakfast would be availble but would not be brought up to our room. We order breakfast that morning and ask how long it would be, we were told we would be called once done. After 40 minutes of waiting we went downstairs to find out breakfast is just sitting on a shelf getting cold. When we ask why we weren't call all we got was attitude. That morning we were schedule to got back to the original hotel and when we did all we got were short answers from the receptionist. We really couldn't understand why. We contact Hotel.com to address the issues we were having and let them know about the comp room but they were of no help.
- 5/5
always clean nice hotel. Will definitely stay again
- 5/5
Very nice stay. Quiet. Loved the outside area.
- 2/5
Very old building, front desk staff is in charge of housekeeping issues and breakfast as well. Bathroom smelled, no room service, no housekeeping to collect trash or bring you fresh towels or hot water, you have to go down to the front desk and pick up items you need. It’s a shame it has a Marriott name on it. Parking is free though, but still for the room rate they charge, it’s way over priced.
- 3/5
I get everyone is trying to say they are short of staff. Then businesses need not to try and overbook if they can’t keep up with the demand! The room was a bit outdated. It requires a much-needed renovation. Breakfast was 👌 The only hot item was scrambled eggs, sausage Pattie’s, vegan Pattie’s, and oatmeal. The living room area was a bit small.
