Reviews
The hotel is generally clean and functional with comfortable beds and good climate control. It is conveniently located near John Wayne Airport and popular places in Irvine. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, some guests have complained about the lack of dining options at night, poor plumbing fixtures, and unclean rooms. There are also issues with parking fees and noisy rooms due to racing cars at night.

The place is very dated, when I booked they said free breakfast, but apparently you had to pay extra, don’t think I will be staying there anymore.
- 5/5
Clean and spacious room, friendly staff, convenient airport shuttle
- 5/5
Quiet and relaxing stay
- 4/5
The man who checked us in was so kind and friendly. The customer service was welcoming and inviting. The rooms were comfortable and had a cute, little balcony. The parking garage was so convenient and spacious. Excellent location, we got our car rental and hotel within an hour of landing. The staff left a note to let us know who was helping maintain our room which I loved, made it feel home-y. Thanks for a great stay!
- 5/5
Overall good stay. Good location and parking.
- 5/5
The property itself was very well maintained. The courtyard was very nice with plants with nice seating in the and at the pool. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was really good at the “restaurant” on site. Loved that they had a small Starbucks machine and could make drinks, even had alternative milk choices. Loved that they stored our luggage when we arrived way before our check in time (10:30 am) and even on our check out day, they stored our luggage until 5:30! They didn’t even hesitate to do that, wow!! So nice to have exceptional customer service nowadays!
- 5/5
They had everything we needed as a family traveling for a baseball tournament. Ice machines, laundry, clean rooms and the bfast was amazing!
- 4/5
Outside was very beautiful the inside could use a little bit of update A little bit updating
- 5/5
It was very clean and the staff was amazing The parking was a little far especially when you have a lot to carry in
- 1/5
Parking was not free either and it was not indicated on the web site .
- 5/5
It’s always a great here
- 4/5
Convenient location. Flexible on early check in.
- 5/5
Good value, comfortable bed, clean room, good location. Terrific staff, very friendly.
- 3.5/5
Beds were super comfortable and room was super quiet! We enjoyed the breakfast at the Starbuck's Bistro in the lobby also. Did not have time to take a swim but the pool looked inviting. First room was a no go... smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. But the concierge was super helpful and easily booked us into a fresh room. Thank you so much for being helpful and kind!
- 4/5
We chose to stay here because of affordability, location (near the airport), and complimentary transportation to the airport. Sleeping and room accommodations were excellent but amenities could use some improvements. The pool area was inviting and relaxing. Maybe they can throw in breakfast next time.
- 4/5
You can hear people from other rooms.
- 5/5
Didn't have breakfast and parking was easy and safe.
- 4/5
The hotel is conveniently located, comfortable and in good repair. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom smelled a bit musty, but the shower was large, accessible, and had plenty of warm water. Dinner in the bistro was a downside - the Mediterranean salad contained literally nothing but lettuce, rice and quinoa and the bartender didn't know how to make mixed drinks.

The hotel is at a major intersection near the airport. Fairly convenient for travelers except that getting to the hotel might be a bit tricky from the opposite direction. Don't book the first few rooms near the lobby on the first floor because it's very noisy. Fortunately after my complaint they switched me to a higher floor.
- 5/5
Clean, friendly staff, reasonable price, close to the airport and OC attractions-an excellent choice
- 3.5/5
Location, close proximity to freeway and entertainment Short staff @ Bistro on weekends Air conditioning smells ammonia
- 5/5
Great location for my needs. Clean room, comfortable bed, nice shower etc. Parking next to the building, but easy access through the back of the building (access using the card key).
- 5/5
Pleasant lobby and restaurant area. Good shuttle service. Nice room
- 5/5

The staff was very nice and helpful.
- 5/5
The restaurant next door, Andrei’s is excellent.
- 4/5
The room was clean and the price was affordable
- 5/5
Definitely will book again.
- 5/5
Room very clean, friendly staff .
- 1/5
Room 129 is terrible with lots of light coming and smashing door noise which made me be anxious all through the night.
- 2/5
The room was outdated. The room AC was not enough to keep the room cool, kept shutting off. We ended up waking up multiple times a night due to it being so warm in the room. One side of the bed had a massive dip to the point where it effects your back.
- 3/5
Room was not cleaned well, and had a bad smell. Hallways had a bad smell as well.
- 5/5
Easy check in. Staff was great. The facility needs more parking spaces for people checking in. There was a bit of a traffic jam out front since four cars were arriving at the same time and there was nowhere to place their car.
- 3/5
Room was dated but clean. The walls are so thin the tv and people in the next room were so loud until 3 am. Unfortunately won't stay here again because of that
- 3/5
Just ok
- 5/5
The bed!
- 4/5
Clean and comfortable bed. Friendly staff.

The room was great as always. Excellent staff and customer service. I had a terrible day at the airport, an even worse experience with the rental car company and was so happy to get to my room and receive a warm welcome.
- 2.5/5
The complementary breakfast at the Starbucks in the lobby was ridiculous. It was super slow and confusing, what you can have and what’s not included. We waited 20 min for a cooked to order eggs your way, just one order took almost 20 min! Then guess what! They gave us someone else’s order!
- 2/5
The place has only 2 elevators, one was not working at all , the second one stopped working as well. The lobby is closed during the night , if you arrive late or need something, there is no one to help. The coffee and breakfast was not good.
- 3/5
Our room was located on the ground level and right around the corner form the lobby/bar is very noisy; management needs to inform the guests, especially the teens to keep their voices down especially during evening hours. The staff is cordial and friendly.
- 4/5
Yes room was nice and clean. The front desk staff was courteous and friendly.
- 5/5
The thermostats in the rooms are motion sensor based and only heat or cool when it senses motion. While sleeping during the night the room repeatedly warmed up due to no there being no movement. It was also placed behind the TV which decreased it's field of view by more than half.
- 1.5/5
The woman working at the front desk was extremely rude and completely unhelpful. She argued nonstop and behaved as if she had absolutely no customer-service experience. She treated guests like they were ordering at a fast-food counter, not checking into a hotel. Dealing with her was so frustrating that I nearly canceled my reservation and went to another hotel. Every other staff member was polite and helpful, but she was the clear exception. I arrived on 11/10 at 7 p.m.
- 5/5
The reception/checkin process was a joy. Delfin was such a wonderful host.
- 5/5
Ok
- 4/5
Not bad overall, i would stay here again.
- 5/5
Nice quiet area
- 3/5
The Bathroom was disgusting the sink leaked the shower was nasty
- 3/5
Worked fine for a short in/out stay. I would not seek it out in the future but fine.
- 5/5
The room was not the cleanest and the sofa bed could have been a little better
- 4/5
Nice big room
- 3/5
It is overpriced
- 4/5
Decent business accommodations.
- 5/5
Nice clean hotel. Lots of parking available and check in was easy even though we checked in late.
- 4/5
Good hotel
- 4/5
Food, drinks, pricy.
- 4/5
Great location, near everything. Plenty of parking in the garage
- 5/5
Very nice courtyard
- 2/5
We were put in room 114 and the bathtub was cracked with rusted sharp edges sticking up. Looks like they just tried taping over a hole and the edges broke though. We were than moved to 209 and the bathtub just had a straight hole in the bottom. If we turned on water it would have gone right through the tub and onto the floor beneath. We were than moved to 211. The tub was fine, though the caulking around the drain was beginning to crack, but there was some weird object on the floor along the wall. Looked possibly like used gum with fuzz or some sort of large squished bug. Each time I spoke to the staff, I was given some sort of pushback about my issue. When I brought up the bathtubs in the first two rooms, I was told that the hotel is old and is not expected to be in perfect condition. \Each time they gave me a new room, I was given the "Hope this meets your standards" line. When I brought up the object in the last room, I just asked if someone can come vacuum it up since I could not tell what it was, and was told "I guess moving rooms twice was not good enough for you" The gentleman who came up to clean it up was fantastic and very cordial. I do not expect, but when bringing up a sharp rusty edge or a hole in the bathtub where the water is going to leak straight onto the floor, I would expect more than an excuse about the age of the hotel and snide remarks about my standards about standards.
- 3/5
Bathroom no ventilation😱
- 4/5
Need better pillows
- 3/5
Nice staff, nice lobby. The facilities are okay.
- 5/5
This was a clean hotel with great amenities. This staff was very helpful. They carved out spot for our Sprinter van.
- 5/5

I pay to stay at your hotel and you charge to park. I think that’s unexceptable.
- 5/5
Great property and staff. Room was clean and bed was comfortable

- 2.5/5
The staff at check in was friendly. The WiFi was a hassle and was never able to log on even after reaching the front desk. The knob to the sink was dusty as if it hadn’t been clean in forever. The AC unit was as tucked into a corner therefore not circulating as good. The TV was slow, it was actually ridiculous and unable to watch channels; I had to stream my YouTube account in order to see anything. I also didn’t appreciate that they didn’t have complimentary parking.
- 3/5
Additional parking fee
- 4/5
Check-in was longer because information didn't propagate correctly. Longer than usual time required. However, check-in person was very courteous, patient, and helpful. Thank you.
- 4/5
Good
- 5/5
Comfy beds and beautiful property
- 5/5
It was fine
- 5/5
The room is guite big so we feel very comfortable. The bathroom is guite big which is good. Bur structure was a little bit inconvenient.
- 5/5
Delfin provided Excellent customer service . We had a problem with air conditioning. He called the maintenance person but unable to resolve the problem. He moved us right away to a room that has a better air conditioning
- 2/5
I prepaid parking fee through Hotels.com but the hotel still charged me additional fee
- 4/5
We got stuck at SNA due to weather and stayed here a night waiting it out. For an airport hotel in super expensive SoCal, this is great value for money. It’s not going to knock your socks off, but it’s perfectly acceptable for a night or two near the airport. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if the occasion ever called for it.
- 4/5
Generally a nice place to stay in Irvine. Convenient location. Parking is ok. A little bit noisy.
- 5/5
Location
- 3/5
There were hairs in the bathroom and on the toilet. There was also a lot of noise throughout the evening and early in the morning. Sounded like someone was pounding on doors. House keeping also knocked on my door very early (8am).
- 5/5
Very friendly staff
- 4/5
A lot of Asian options to eat and shop at the next block.
- 5/5
older marriott property which justifies the difference in price. team was very friendly but it was very loud throughout the night from teenagers running the hallways, opening and shutting stairway doors, and going up and down the elevator. because it’s near the airport, they are probably here for a tournament or something. my room though, i did have to do my own cleaning upon entry. front door frame had dirt marks, bathroom toilet had stains on the under bowl, and bathroom door frame also has stains. made me feel like the whole room wasn’t very clean.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, hot tub was great, great location.
- 5/5
The hotel was very accommodating when we called to say we were running late to check-in due to our event running behind. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was delicious. Definitely enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
- 5/5
Everything about my stay was terrific. From checking in online, to my room, being ready and immaculate. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
- 4/5
Only thing that would have made it better would have been breakfast.
- 2/5
There was no service during the two nights we spent there. Parking is in a garage a fair walk away (when you just had surgery on your foot) The room smelled like dirty shoes when we came back… and we did not leave any shoes in the room. Luckily I had brought a deodorizing spray. The fridge is the smallest mini fridge I’ve ever had at a hotel, and I’ve seen a lot of hotel fridges. The door storage took up most of the fridge storage! The sink water pressure was very weak. And the sink and shower temperature control was hard to manage. It was either too hot or too cold, turning the dial a bit at a time to adjust did nothing. At one point I simply could NOT get hot water out of the sink. And I waited awhile. But the bed and pillows were very comfortable.
- 3/5
Door/entry door need a repair. It didn’t close properly, Noises came in from hallway
- 4/5
It was ok
- 4/5
Balcony
- 4/5
The hotel is kind old but the services are good and location is great.
- 5/5
Great property and location. Only downfall is the parking.
- 5/5
Great stay! Clean facility, very nice staff. Parking garage was a pretty hefty walk
- 3/5
Room had an unpleasant smell and did not have hot water missed my morning meeting. Hot water finally fixed over hour later. The laundry room is convenient but the dryer hardly worked for $3 my clothes were still damp
- 5/5
Great stay.
- 3/5
Pretty run down hotel. Very obvious hacks to keep the place open like drywall screws jammed into the toilet paper dispenser to hold it up.
- 5/5
very comfortable bed, nice fac ilities, BUT the dinning option is not so good.
- 5/5
French toast breakfast was good.
- 5/5
it is next to the main road. so, you will hear some traffic noise. other than that, everything is good
- 4/5
The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. The bed was very comfortable. The only negative thing was the elevator operated a bit rough.
- 5/5
The property was clean and well managed. The staff was helpful and professional. I would stay at this Courtyard again.
- 1/5
The hotel is quite empty however they put a family with kids upstairs right above my room. The kids running on the floor at evening and early morning. Called front desk but no help. The Wi-Fi is very slow and cellular signal is poor. The room facility is very old. Poor ventilation (or none) in the bathroom. All the electric outlets in the room have loose contacts which are hard to use.
- 1/5
I prepaid for my room and they gave it away. There was one room left and it did not feel safe to me as a female traveling alone. The room had sliding glass doors on the ground floor facing the parking structure exit but I was given no choice. They blamed Expedia and so I would recommend directly booking through Marriott if you absolutely need this hotel. Otherwise go elsewhere.
- 5/5
I found the staff at the front desk to be exceptionally friendly, professional, and helpful. The rooms were kept very clean.
- 5/5
No real restaurant; but some small tables in the lobby. The hotel is U-shaped, & one area is a long walk to the front desk.
- 5/5
Stay was perfect!! Great accommodations!!
- 4/5
Liked the lay out. Rooms are a little dated
- 5/5
The staff is so lovely at this property!!! Had breakfast and it was yummy. Love the balcony! Great albeit short stay.
- 5/5
Great friendly staff
- 5/5
Good location close to John Wayne Airport (SNA), decent accommodations, and the night desk service was excellent. Even though we came in very late after 11 PM the front desk was helpful and cheery, and accommodating.
- 5/5
Nice and quiet hotel
- 5/5
Great rooms, great veiw, easy parking. Definitely staying there again
- 5/5
Great service
- 5/5
Not ce
- 5/5
Good customer service great location
- 4/5
Good benefit to have the free van to take you back to the airport. It goes every 30 minutes. The property is decent and they have a basic lobby bar (get drinks from fridge). This was my 2nd stay. Several restaurants within a 5 minute drive. Staff is friendly and welcoming. The breakfast burrito with tots was also pretty good.
- 3/5
- No USB plugs, and the electrical outlets were wiggly (some didn’t work) - No fan in the bathroom (got very muggy from shower) - Shower is small, husband had to turn sideways to fit - Towels were stained - A/C didn’t cool the whole room
- 3/5
Was adequate
- 5/5
Great property, awesome pool and jacuzzi, and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Love this place for the price and location. Not far from Newport Beach.
- 5/5
Nice pool and outdoor areas
- 5/5
The best breakfast burrito ever at the Bistro! Thank you Alonso for making it.
- 5/5
Our stay was great!
- 1/5
Although booked some time ago the property was overbooked upon checking in. Send to different hotel.
- 2/5
The property was ok nothing special. 4 Starbucks drinks from the snack area was $30. Very small bathroom vanity area.
- 5/5
Clean & friendly staff
- 3/5
Hotel is worn out. Needs major renovation.
- 3/5
Cleaning was a challenge to get. We had to call three times to get our room cleaned. Food options are very limited. The Bistro had limited selections, nothing fresh, and very expensive. Market place was outrageously priced. No options to charge electronic vehicles and no suggestions for local options. Some mold in the bathroom floor. So many additional add on fees such as city tax (that’s clear), local Bid Fee (have no idea what this is, and Calif local tourism fee (and that gets me what?). That’s all in addition to Tory tax, daily parking, and the fluctuating room rate!
- 5/5
Lovely property
- 1/5
Noisy. No complimentary breakfast
- 5/5
Clean and functional but don't expect dining at night because they do not have kitchen staff
- 3/5
Plumbing fixtures in very poor condition. Comfortable bed and good climate control system.
- 5/5
Stayed here during my time visiting family in Irvine. Super convenient and close location to John Wayne Airport, but not too close so that you can avoid hearing the planes. Whole Foods is about a 6-7 minute drive from here. And you're close to a lot of the more popular places in Irvine. Great staff. Clean rooms. The decor could have been a little brighter, but overall, still a terrific stay. Two thumbs up.
- 5/5
It was very comfortable stay.
- 5/5
The staff were extremely nice. The hotel and area are nice. The room was clean and comfortable. I higher recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
The young gentleman working in the breakfast lounge , was very thoughtful
- 1/5
They assigned me a room. I walked into find both beds unmade and dirty towels all over the room
- 4/5
Shouldn’t have to pay for parking. Tacky.
- 5/5
We got there early and they were awesome to let us check in and got us room next to each other. Great location!
- 5/5
Clean and quiet and friendly staff
- 5/5
Clean and quiet, friendly staff
- 5/5
Great stay. Easy parking. Jacuzzi open. Clean. Friendly. 20 minutes to the beach.
- 2/5
The room smelled like a cat litter box. I wanted to change rooms but I was told that they didn’t have any that rooms. But later I saw people checking in so there were rooms open that I could have switched into. They told me they would spray the carpets and vacuum. That only made it worse. It was hard to sleep with all those horrible smells. Didn’t even offer me anything for staying I that room.
- 5/5
Single night stay, comfortable. Little older but still clean.
- 5/5
The service here was the BEST SERVICE I have had in a very long time!!
- 5/5
Loved the comfort of the bed and pillows and the glass door in shower was a welcome surprise as opposed to the usual tub and shower curtain offerings. I look forward to planning a trip back here, highly recommend!
- 4/5
A bit noisy since our room is facing big Jamboree Blvd. Too many cars racing at night
- 3/5
This is a business hotel so pretty average with a nice lobby and standard rooms. Unfortunately the wifi in our room didn’t work so that was a huge negative as we needed to do some work and we didn’t have great cell service in our room either so hot spot was out of the question. Otherwise not a bad place to stay, close to a ton of things and John Wayne airport.
- 2/5
THE PROPERTY SMELLED LIKE MOLD. I SENT A NOTE TO MARRIOTT AND GOT A CANNED ONE LINE RESPONSE.
- 5/5
FRONT DESK SUCKED THEY TOLD ME I COULD GET A SHUTTLE TO DISNEYLAND I ENDED UP UBER AND WALKING
- 4/5
the TV was oddly placed at a right angle to the bed.
- 5/5
great price for the property
- 5/5
Accessibility
- 5/5
Nothing to add. It was a quick one night stay
