Motel 6 Pleasanton, CA

The mattresses on the bed were cheap and very thin and uncomfortable. The lock on the door to prevent someone from getting in was missing. The air conditioner was filthy. The pool outside was drained and full of trash and debris. The outside appearance looked run down. The sink fixture in the bathroom was in disarray. The only positive was the bathroom was clean. Definitely not worth the amount paid for 2 nights. Would not recommend.

I left after they give us a room that was not occupied. When we first checked in, they gave us keys to a room already occupied. Then they put us in the back where there are people living there permanently. There was cat food and cigarette butts in front of the room next door. There were no bedspreads on the beds. There were children toys in front of many of the doors in back. We did not stay, asked for a refund. This is the worst experience to have. Do not recommend this place to anyone, it is not sanitary at all.

For what I needed at the time. It was just fine. Quite an urban area. Was easy walking to eat. Pool was a disaster area. But then I already knew that. And I didn’t go expecting to swim.

The person at the front desk could barely speak English (had to ask her 3 times what she just said), the facility was very dirty and had some safety hazards (broken concrete on the steps with a piece of broken concrete just waiting to be kicked off the steps and on someone’s head - huge lawsuit potential). Room was tiny, only two pillows on the hard as a rock bed. Shower didn’t drain properly, noisy neighbors. Would absolutely never stay here again. Would pay 3x as much just to have a clean and safe facility. Thumbs WAY down.

This of course did not illicit much confidence for me. When I arrived, I saw there was a hair on the toilet seat. Again, not feeling very confident. The towels and bed linens smelled and looked clean. You can feel the springs in the mattress. No extra amenities other than hand soap. No hairdryer, no coffee pot. Cups, and an ice bucket was provided, but I don’t know for what. The pool looked condemned. You get what you pay for and it was affordable!

the next-door people had a burking dog inside the room. I was unable to sleep. I called the office using my cell phone around 11:30 pm. the phone in the room was not working the bed was in bad condition in General a lot of noise I had to be at 06:00 am at work with no sleep horrible place everything is really old inside under bed dust and not clean.

The rooms were filthy and infested with cockroaches, The mattress on the bed was all lumpy (it hurt my back really bad). and the rooms smelled to cigarettes.

Staff support was lacking to the extreme!! Dogs allowed to bark unabated!! Revelers allowed to celebrated past a respectfull time. I demand a refund!!

Room condition was OK. Only had a very small piece of soap. No shampoo, etc. No room service for clean towels, etc.

Room smelled overwhelming of cover up disinfectant. Long stay neighbor had dogs barking all day/night. Office said they couldn’t move us. Multiple issues with room. Tub and sink barely drain, patched tub, exhaust fan falling off, spit wads on walls. Demanded a refund but was told Expedia would only offer 10% off. We’re completely exhausted from a total lack of sleep due to the barking dogs. Don’t feel I got my moneys worth at all.

Room was clean. The fragrance they use to neutralize smell is really strong! Have to air out the place a bit. Bed is very uncomfortsble but i brought a mat to put on top. Barely any water pressure from bathroom sink but maybe they dont want junkies flooding the place.

The location surrounding by geat choices for any who has a palette for tasty food. Hotal Management has been vey accommodating and helpful.

Parking was limited on the side they put me on. Tv remote didnt work. Water pressure in bathroom sink was almost non-existent. Tub drain was super slow, water hot cold was backwards and started making loud rumbling in middle(warm). I brought a sleep pad and my own pillow because i knew last time bed was CEaray uncomfortable(felt the springs). Other than that... and some couple yelling outside my door in the middle of the night it was fine(i wore earplugs but they still woke me).

Overall, for the price it’s OK. My only complaint is that there is some kind of bar next to this. Motel 6 and I stayed there on a Saturday and it was extremely loud. There were people outside by the bar in their car are playing loud music until 2 AM other than that the staff is really friendly. The roads are OK no complaints for the price. It’s justified, but I will recommend to stay somewhere else unless you are in a tight budget.

OK at best. I was not asked my preference for room location. I was placed on the 2nd floor, in the back, where all the "resident guests" live, four of them outside their doors smoking cigarettes and Mary Jane as I passed by. The room (223) was slightly bigger than the Palm Springs Motel 6 prison cell. Clean. Nice smelling. And then I noticed the adjoining room door. I hate adjoining rooms. Main lock wouldn't lock, but the slide lock did. Fortunately, the guy next door was mostly quiet. Shower was nice and hot! The toilet is definitely a double flusher! It's a Motel 6...what can I say? You get what you pay for.

Because of this, I would not recommend staying here if you have a family or need a quiet place to sleep. While the staff was great, the noise situation seriously impacted our stay.

It starts with management. The front office has hot coffee in the morning.. always accommodating, professional and providing information that helps the customer make better decisions on their stay at motel 6.

The night was unbearable. Guests were stomping, yelling, and running around nonstop, making it impossible to sleep. It felt chaotic and completely unmanaged. The room also had no iron or ironing board, so I had to go back to the front desk—in freezing weather—only to be handed an iron and a towel by a staff member with a noticeably rude attitude. From the condition of the room to the noise to the unprofessional service, this stay failed on every level. Based on my experience, I genuinely don’t believe this property should be listed on Expedia or any reputable booking platform until major improvements are made. I left feeling disappointed, unsafe, and shocked that this was considered acceptable lodging.

Cockroachs! Room looked clean when i checked in, but waking up in the midel of the night. There were roaches all over my room. I had ro stop and get roach spray to spray down all my stuff, and wash all my cloathing. This place needs to be shut down until they take care of the problem. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Easy access right off the freeway, parking was great but there is a comedy club right next door so I can imagine people sneaking in their parking lot to park at the Motel 6. The young lady was very friendly. I do not like when you get the CS and their barely talking to you.

The motel was not easy to find from the street. Didn't see a tall sign. There was only a sign on Motel but tree branch covered part of it. The room had peeling paint chips in bathroom and cigarette stains on toilet seat and tub. Since no "Don't Disturb" hanging signs were provided, we and other guests were creative and made our own. Yes, we felt safe and a place to sleep. It was pricey, but was the cheapest on the Internet. You get what you pay for I guess.

Check in was fast and easy. Never had a problem staying here. Place is close to everything I need. Other than that, when I walked into my room, I saw a cockroach crawling on the floor in between the AC and the bed, which I stomp the bejesus out of it!

Deceptive advertising. The pool looked great on the website but was under construction when I arrived. I also was given a room next to a room a very large loud barking dog. When I asked the front desk to change my room they said they had no other rooms. I then asked for a refund and they said I would have to cancel through Expedia. Horrible service and I wouldn't recommend anyone stay at this hotel.

The shower/bathtub was very dirty. I didn’t want to step on it. I had to skip taking a shower. There were a couple of cockroaches as well. The little refrigerator in the room was so unbalanced that whenever I opened it, it would tilt.

I did not stay at this property this night. This is a fraudulent transition and I will report this and any transaction from this hotel that night!

I have stayed in almost a hundred Motel 6 locations across the country. This location is as bad as the Salt Lake City Motel 6. I did not feel safe on those two hotel properties, and the rooms and furnishings in those locations were shabby and did not feel/look clean.

The location is convenient. They have a lot of places to eat right across the street and there is a convenience store gas station right in the same lot. The issues I have are on two occasions I checked in and told the water would be shut off for 2

Disappointed that pool was closed mid summer. Fridge was helpful for us but way overdue for defrosting. No coffeemaker in room. Towels kind of thin, cheap. No way to plug bathtub for bath. No toiletries.

Walked in the room and looked like a normal motel 6. 20 minutes later, saw two cockroaches emerge from the fridge. Was running late to a comedy show so spoke to the staff about a refund after our show. They wouldn't provide a refund and we planned to drive back home to Sacramento anyways. I'll be calling corporate today.

The bed was more akin to a futon found in the basement of a frat house . Lumpy and old . I doubt it’s been updated . The decor is dated . Not even close to the photos in Expedia’s listing . If I had gotten checked in earlier I would have just left . On the plus side - it was essentially clean , no bugs , just reeked like beer and cigarettes. The decor has not been updated in who knows how long . The furniture has been chewed on by dogs . Over all a very sad room . I’m going to hazard a guess that it’s been recently occupied by someone who rents rooms there for a few Weeks at a time And then moves out and then back in .The staff orOwners were nice . Pool is a disaster so don’t even think about that as an option . Probably the nastiest Motel 6 I have ever stayed in . Overall - if you want to experience despair or you are an alcoholic chain smoker- rent room 210 .

I spent a full day in San Francisco and I was too tired to drive back home. This location is right off the freeway, with great food choices nearby, and very affordable. This location has become a favorite for me.

Lumpy uncomfortable mattress; reserved room with 2 full beds but on arriving was told that room was unavailable. Was offered a room with one queen bed or two rooms with one bed. Opted for the former but the bed was not a queen but rather a full. Weird tacky furniture . Will not stay there again.

There was NO parking by my room and they said they turned off the ice machine for some reason. It turned out that the machine was completely out of order. The toilet didn't flush a few times, so I had to work on the toilet using my handyman skill. I was trying to get away for a relaxation

Very unorganized. No microwave in the rooms, but offered one in the “common area”. The common area was a tiny dirty closet on the outside of the building. Toilet kept clogging and no plunger on site! Refrigerator didn’t get cold and was leaking water! Changed my room to one that the refrigerator didn’t work at all in so they put me back in the original room. The maintenance man came to fix the refrigerator at 11:30 at night and said it was just defrosting but worked fine. It never did get cold! Somehow the motel 6 in Vallejo was nicer than this one!

It seems management and not its, or their, job in making sure all issues or concerns were addressed and taken care of to the level of any stay property or service business. Something has been let go for some reason. To someone yelling out and using expletives outside their door to another renter smoking marijuana outside of his door downwind from me to the phone inside my room incapable of calling the front desk including no hot shower because of a boiler problem, these are some of the issues that i experienced and that were not addressed or resolved in some way as you would expect them to be. The staff needs help in making their jobs more professional and helpful to customers and more helpful to them as to not have to experience unhappy or unsatisfied customers. It’s a disservice to them and their work day and they deserve better and should be done right by. To not do so is a commentary on management and a sure sign management is not doing their job, which all in all all falls on them. Help the workers. Again, they deserve it and better.

It was the worst hotel experience of my life. Black mold oozing out between ALL the floor boards, all over the room and bathroom. The pool outside was under construction and I don't know if that had anything to do with it, there were tarps covering everything and it was a complete mess. One of the desk guys cursed at me saying "F#*(k YOU!!!" At least 30 times to me when I went to ask for a room change. I had called twice before arriving to check in to requst extra blankets, was told they had plenty and not to worry I could have as many as I wanted. They did not provide any and on the second night when I went to ask again, the guy even took me into the laundry room to show me they had none. Oh, they had also told me each bed had a "comforter" and a blanket. Apparently what they call a comforter is a bed sheet. They insisted "those are comforters". Totally absurd. They said there would be coffee in the lobby starting at 7. I went at 7, door was locked, no one there, no coffee. Same deal at 7:30 and at 8, at which point I left. The phone was broken, didn't work at all. Oh, and the location is right next to a night club. All night long there were sleazy characters mulling around the parking lot, which the motel shared with the night club, and drunk people yelling and partying. By far the worst part was the floor soaked in black mold water. It got all over our bags, soaked through our socks etc.My daughter and I both got sick staying there in mold hotel.

I need a place to stay for a couple nights this place believe or not. It’s better than people think although no in room coffee you’re within 50 yards of a coffee house but great place for the price.

Not clean the heat is dirty

I stayed here recently for a about 8 hours in between my shifts. I checked in after 11:00 p.m. And had to switch rooms because the room they checked me into had hair in the bed. Very disgusting! I asked if they can bring me the key to my room but they were unable to and told me to come down to the desk to get the key. I had to pack up My stuff, head down to the office, just to be placed in a room. Room a couple doors down from where I was. The remote control in new room did not work to turn on the TV. I called the office and the gentleman told me That I can come down and get A new remote. At this point I'm upset because I just came down to get the key so I asked if he can bring it up and he said he could but he doesn't know how long it will be. I could see if he was working by himself, but there was another gentleman on staff that night so it was no excuse to not accommodate guests requests. It is almost midnight at this point and I had to be to work at 7:00 a.m. The following morning. He ended up bringing the remote about 10 minutes later or so. When I went to take a shower that morning, I noticed long stringy hair in the bathtub. I took a picture of it before I rinsed it down the drain. The water also does not get hot in the room and I had to take a semi-cold shower in the middle of the winter. I was not happy at all with this stay. This property manager should have a chat with their employees. Expedia, I am not happy with this stay

I know this is not the fault of the housekeepers, it is the management. We had 2 pieces of soap about the size of a thick quarter. 2 towels so it was to hard to dry your hair. No way to heat food. We had no water pressure for showers.Check out was at at 11:00. Housekeeping was knocking on the door at 9am,0930 am,10am and 1030am. Very annoying as we had driven for 6-7 hours and needed our sleep. When I asked if we could check out at noon or 1:00pm the woman at the desk said "no way" literally. The motel was not full. There was no WIFI connection in the room which was was very inconvenient. All together a very, very disappointing experience. I will never stay in another Motel 6. And my previous experiences have been good

Since this is a low cost option I was not expecting a lot of amenities. When I entered the room all looked tidy and in order but the floor in the bathroom got wet from the shower and I wiped the water up with a towel. The towel was filthy from this. I do not expect floor cleaning daily but I did expect clean upon arrival. Also, it was very noisy all night long with loud TV viewing through the entire night until about 5:30 am so hard to sleep. The phone in the room did not work to call the front desk. My room was cleaned after two days and no towels added to replace those taken away by cleaning. I was there for a week and the trash in my room was emptied only one time. So while the facility is what I expected in a simple room, I was expecting things to be clean

This was probably the worst experience. The entire night there was a construction right in front of the motel… just drilling the entire night. Please pay $20 more and go to nice hotel near by. This is a disaster place. Pool broken just aweful. $54 truly you get what you pay for.

No complaints about the staff or the service. Overall it was a good stay. Parking is free and usually no issues finding a parking spot. Convenient to the highway & several grab & go dining options within walking distance. Not to mention, this is a Motel so one should approach it with tempered expectations. Downside is that there is no iron/ironing board in the room, there is just ONE microwave on the property and it appears to be a "community" microwave......steps and second floor walkway seem a little questionable, ie like maybe a structural engineer needs to do an updated assessment for safety. Also during my stay there were some scummy individuals going in and out of the place & who congregate on the grounds- not sure but it appears as if this place offers long-term residency, which is usually not a good thing. Again though, it delivered for what I needed, more positive than negative- I was, however, ready to leave when it was time to go.

Friendly staff

The room was quiet, had a fridge, microwave and desk. All pluses, but expected in today's motel market. Now, for the negatives: (1) The telephone was filthy (had dust, hair and other stuff on it); (2) The "queen" bed was actually a double (only 54" wide); (3) There were not enough electrical plugs easily available; (4) There was only one (1) hanger.

Good location, reasonably priced, and friendly staff.
