Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its proximity to the airport and friendly staff. However, cleanliness and the quality of breakfast are frequent complaints.
- Close to the airport
- Friendly staff
- Cleanliness issues
- Poor quality breakfast

The room was clean and a welcome relief to the last Super 8 experience I had.
- 4/5
Good for an overnight stay close to the airport.
- 3/5
Ok room for the night.
- 3/5
The air conditioning smelled musty. Black mold spots on the wall above toilet and shower walls.
- 5/5
Everyone was very friendly, I had a great transportation service to the airport, which is very close

Location
- 4/5
Very convenient to the airport, but no place to eat nearby.
- 4/5
The bed was very comfy, room was clean. Breakfast was very minimal. No lobby to relax in, but we were there for a quick turnaround so that was okay for the price we paid
- 5/5

I like
- 3/5
They included breakfast but it was pretty lame. A granola bar and a banana were pretty much it. The vending machines were empty of water and no bottled water was available on site.
- 1/5
The room smelled off, not awful just off. It appeared clean, no carpet, newer tile floor and bathroom. Bottom floor was subterranean, windows was at parking lot height. We just needed a bed for the night so we stayed, what a mistake. Although the mattress was confidant the blanket was itchy right through the sheet. As soon as I laid in bed I started getting congested. Between the itching and not being able to breath I managed just over an hour of sleep. I tried to watch something on my phone but nothing would load, the hotel wifi wasn't working properly and my data wasn't working within the hotel. I've never so anxious for 5am to arrive as I was that night. When 430 came I said enough and got ready to leave. The only other place I've stayed that compared was a hotel room in New Delhi India where I shared my dinner with a little mouse, but I slept much better in that room. I would recommend any other place over this.
- 4/5
Location is not too far from the airport and in a fairly quiet area. Easy to get to. The room was clean. Kid friendly. Great price point. Friendly staff. The free breakfast was a banana and coffee.

- 5/5
Very kind staff, wonderful price for the stay, lovely breakfast of hot cereal, bananas, pancakes and syrup, and yogurt, coffee and Tea 5-9a.m. Jawfish and Elmers Restaurants an easy walk away. It's an old motel with plenty of more life just like 80 year old me. Public bus right at the end of the driveway and Airport Shuttle!

Affordable clean , easy parking and excellent service
- 4.5/5
Everything is good we like it your hotel but breakfasts not only pancake Silent good not eny bothered and all staff good people
- 2/5
The room was available. The lighting in the rooms was very poor. The lamps had sockets for 2 bulbs, but only had one. There was only yogurt and a few granola bars available for breakfast. Not what we expected from our experience with other Super 8's.

Superb
- 3/5
One of the cheapest rooms near the airport with free shuttle from and to the airport. The breakfast buffet was nothing to worry about besides the pancake and yogurt and a couple of fruits. Room was utterly basic with window aircons which were very loud.
- 5/5
The room was very comfortable Other than our door locked on us on Tuesday night when we returned and there was no way to unlock our room thank goodness that we were able to get in once. I know staff member was available to fix it so we had to leave it unlocked when we went to breakfast.
- 4/5
The cost and how close it was to the airport. Slight musty smell and the stopper in the sink drain would not open, drained very slowly.

Also, the “alarm” went off due to some mechanical problem. It was like no Fire alarm I have ever heard. It was an extremely loud persistent screeching noise that likely caused hearing damage.

I am handicapped and there was limited places for handicapped to park and I got stuck parking all the way on the other side of the hotel because there was no available handicap parking. I was not very happy about that. Especially when I have a bad hip and hard time walking, let alone carrying my things to my room. Please try to get more available handicapped parking

“Convenient location with free parking, complimentary continental breakfast, and a reliable airport shuttle. The rooms feature nicely posted bed frames with great city‑themed photos, which add a nice touch. A comfortable and easy stay overall.”

it was an ok place for the price but the staff good be more freindly and welcoming and explain the propery (breakfast/wifi better) instead of having to ask all the questions

I was in room 121 and there was lots of noise from the apartment or workers room directly above my room throughout the night. Sounded like someone repeatedly walking in hard-heeled shoes or dropping things on the floor. Very odd!
- 1/5
Blood on pillow case, grease all over flat sheets. Fan in bathroom didn’t work. Awful.
- 4/5
Needs a little option for breakfast, pancake is good
- 4/5
Hotel clean, free parking, limited breakfast included, conveniently located near airport, early check-in at 2:00 pm, checkout at 11:00 am, this is the best rate in the area.
- 5/5

- 3/5
It served the purpose, breakfast is not stocked so don’t count on that. As advertised. It is reasonable but a long walk to train to get into town.
- 1/5
Only good thing about this experience was the front desk agent, she was very pleasant.
- 4/5
The big places for this hotel are free parking, free continental breakfast although ending at 9 AM seems a little too early since most people don’t have to check out till 12 noon. Also, it is convenient that you have an early check-in at 2 o’clock.
- 2/5
There was a $200 deposit required that we were not informed about when booking the room and after it was already paid for so be prepared for that. Also the worst continental breakfast ever! Seriously lacking.
- 3/5
This place needs done updating! It's very dark, lamp didn't work, wifi was poor...

Convenient PDX airport location. Room nicely decorated with Portland images on backboards, cozy, free parking, limited breakfast, great value for property.

The airport shuttle took 45 minutes. It's a 2 mile drive
- 5/5

- 5/5
great shuttle to airport parking very reasonable safe, clean
- 1/5
I would not recommend even if you just need a place to sleep. There are better hotels in the same area. Staff nice enough.
- 5/5
Great place for a one night stay! Close to the airport and with shuttle service!
- 4/5
Clean room, business-friendly, friendly staff. Would like to have more light in the room.
- 3/5
Room smelled musty and abit like cigarettes.
- 1/5
Hair in sheets. No elevator. Dirty dirty shower. Just gross.
- 4/5
I would appreciate a little more selection for breakfast
- 4/5
Pancake machine was fun & tasty! Shuttle was very useful. Thank you for changing my room to first floor to help me deal with a mobility issue.
- 2/5
No pool and there’s no parking for commercial trucks and trailer. No room service for the whole time of our staying.
- 3/5
Check in was very easy. The person at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The room as clean and the floor I was on was very quiet. The "breakfast included" consisted of breakfast items (yogurt, juice, machine made pancakes). When it came time for checkout, we had to wait 20 minutes for someone to show up at the front desk. Also, the airport shuttle was 20 minutes late from the time we had requested it.
- 3/5
I didn't make it to port land to say here. It looks like a beautiful location thats why i picked it. But my partner got sick so we get there.
- 2/5
The hotel was extremely old, more like a old Motel. One of the lights next to the bed didn't work. The bedspread was made out of solid plastic really not a very nice room
- 4/5
Courteous staff. Convenient location. Carpets spotty.
- 3/5
Room was in good condition but dated
- 3/5
the room was clean and the staff was very accommodating. However, the blanket was riped and the curtain didnt closed all the way. Overall, it was a good place for quick stay and the airport shuttle was very helpful.
- 2/5
This Super 8 showed noticeable signs of neglect. The coverlet was frayed and damaged in several areas, and the sheets were worn thin. In the bathroom, there was a red mark on the wall across from the toilet, and the tub drained poorly. The window screen was also bent and partially pushed outside the frame. This was our first stay at a Super 8 in years, and it’s disappointing that the quality did not match our experiences at other locations.
- 4/5
Rooms were clean. Front desk staff was polite and welcoming.
- 3/5
The staff were courteous, the continental breakfast was fine, but my bed was not good. It sunk in a little bit in places, but sounded like it had springs underneath. Very noisy and uncomfortable. The place was clean.

The room is dirty, well I am not expecting anything cause it'a super 8. Sink are clogged, blankets are dirty, No USB port, but one thing I will treasure over in this hotel are the 2 front desk people especially the lady om the night shift. She deserves everything. Super kindhearted woman.
- 5/5
The staff was so so so nice. Only marking it 4 stars because there’s no elevator and my luggage was a pain to haul up to the third floor lol
- 4/5
Nice clean rooms, great service!
- 5/5
We stay here mostly for the secure parking. Usually have to leave before breakfast. Shuttle is on time and our driver this time was very nice and professional.
- 4/5
It was a very quiet location.
- 3/5
Some places the wall pain showed a lot of wear. the afternoon staff was not courteous and almost objected to my needing to leave on the shuttle at 7:00 am.
- 4/5
They over booked the park and ride so parking Christmas Eve was a struggle but got progressively better during my stay there. Staff accommodated my extra night’s stay seamlessly. Excellent value. Shorthop to shopping at Cascade Station/Ikea.
- 5/5
The night receptionist is wonderful
- 4/5
Couldn't find anywhere other than 7/11 to get food at night in the area.
- 3/5
Just wish room was bigger
- 4/5
Some address to wall outlet behind bed. The cover was missing and the outlet itself appeared to have fractured off. I was pleased to have been offered this bath with hand rails. I put them to use.

Rooms were clean, but noisy, could hear other rooms tv's so didn't sleep well. exterior door was to be locked, but was broken, so never was locked, safety issue. short on parking so was told to park on side of road or handicapped. breakfast, got some calories, but not much to speak of.

easy check in and check out, very comfortable beds, nice clean, quite, close to airport
- 4/5
Pleasantly surprised at decent nutella was and hope to stay here again soon
- 4/5
Would stay again if not looking for luxury vacation.
- 3/5
Room was fine and beds were great. Hall carpets pretty dirty. Breakfast was ok except i was told the owner was too cheap to buy milk so no oatmeal for us.
- 5/5
Very clean spacious room. 5 mins drive from the airport! Plenty of parking spaces
- 5/5
The room was clean. The bed was comfy. The staff was helpful. This is our go to spot when we fly out of PDX.
- 4/5
It was fine.
- 3/5
Room was Ok-ish, shower head broken, dirty rug- like yikes! Remote didn’t work, no soap for the outdated and dilapidated washing machines. Staff was apathetic towards these issues
- 3/5
No remote in the room, told front desk and after 3 days still no remote. Breakfast was okay.
- 3/5
The rooms are outdated and need renovation, but it's manageable.
- 4/5
Stayed in 3rd floor. Clean room. Bed was comfortable, slept well. Only detail was the shower, it was a slow drain. Other than that, location, price, cleanliness, stay was overall great.
- 5/5
My room was clean and well attended. Parking and shuttle were a convenient and comfortable
- 4/5
My room was close to the automatic front entrance. Since this is a hotel near the airport, guests came in and out of the hotel constantly, I could hear the door open and close at least once every five minutes during my whole stay. The noise was not terribly loud, I could sleep. The towels, drapes, the bottom of the bathroom door and the wall around the older style air conditioner were a bit worn. I could also hear conversations from down the hall. But this did not distract from my sleep. The check in receptionist was extremely friendly and receptive to comments/questions.
- 3/5
Pretty old and not very clean.
- 3/5
Terrible facility
- 5/5
WILL STAY AGAIN.
- 4/5
Thank you for your service

- 5/5
Very comfortable
- 5/5
Awesome
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean room and bath, has air-conditioning. Breakfast included pancakes, yogurts, oatmeal, bananas granola bars. For the beverages: coffee, tea, orange and apple juice. Clean area. There is a shuttle to the airport.
- 2/5
The lady at the front desk was super nice, and was great. The hotel room definitely needed some updates, including better lighting and new bedding. Our sheets had holes and worn spots on both beds.
- 5/5
Çccc c cccvffvffffff
- 5/5
Super helpful and friendly staff.
- 2/5
The person at the front desk was good, but after that there is nothing redeeming about the hotel.
- 3/5
Shuttle driver was the best. Hotel seems to start to be declining. Not much updating going on.
- 1/5
No elevator. Had to drag suitcase up flight of stairs. Smell in lobby and room is undesirable.
- 5/5
Nop
- 5/5
The rooms dont have USB ports for.my phone or computer, so I needed to walk to a nearby 7 eleven and there were limited side walks, and dim lighting on the streets. Very scary, especially for a woman at night.

- 4/5
Staying for a night and parking for a week is easy and relatively cheap. Simple to get the shuttle to the airport. We’ve done this several times because it’s comfortable, quiet, a good price and painless.
- 5/5
Great value, very clean and tidy room and facility, friendly and helpful staff. Overall great stay.
- 5/5
Great service
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfy, staff was beyond awesome! Definitely recommend this hotel for future stays
- 5/5
This is a very clean basic hotel that is very close to the Portland airport with a free shuttle.
- 5/5
The staff were wonderful and super helpful.
- 5/5
There are no restaurants, markets, or fast food within walking distance, so had to rely on delivery.
- 5/5
Yes,+
- 3/5
The room was okay but air conditioner was very loud and i did not sleep comfortably in the bed
- 3/5
Shower did not work. Breakfast could be better. Staff was nice and helpful
- 5/5
Friendly staff, room ss cleaned every day, decent breakfast.
- 3/5
Staff was very nice. Room was acceptable for what we paid for. Just the location is very hidden which is the only thing I didn’t like. Overall it was ok
- 5/5
Didn't do either.
- 2/5
It may have been somewhere in the small print but I was not made aware of the need to schedule a return shuttle. Instead, I asked how often the shuttles run the night i checked in and was told every 30 minutes. So upon my return I made the assumption this would hold true, which it did not. I waited around a while before calling, and then the response I was giving was. "sir, the shuttle will arrive today" I'll let you decide for yourself if this is the sort of service you want.
- 5/5
Well lit area. Clean and comfortable. Excellence front desk service.
- 4/5
Good place for me. Everything was quite nice. Pancake breakfast was basic but good.

- 2/5
It seems that it’s never washed
- 5/5

- 5/5
Nice reasonable
- 5/5
Very close to the airport, easy access to freeways.
- 1/5
They couldn’t find my reservation and then I had a 5 o’clock 🕔 flight ✈️ but they don’t start going to the airport until 4 so I had to take a taxi 🚕 just bad bad bad
- 4/5
The staff was ok. The entire 1st 2 floors smelled heavy with marijuana when I checked in. place was clean otherwise and the room at least smelled better than the rest of the hotel
- 4/5
The room was not very clean and the breakfast options were limited.
- 3/5
Was somewhat disappointed, although I know Super 8’s aren’t 5 star. Front desk was excellent! Room was kind of shabby although bed was super comfy. Burn holes in the bedspread, no place to hang used towels in the bathroom, very limited breakfast (front desk did warn us). Seemed overpriced at $100.
- 3/5
Staff was friendly. Room did not look clean, bed cover had stains.
- 3/5
Inexpensive place to stay overnight for an early start from the airport. Unfortunately, the shuttle service only starts at 4 AM which is not enough time to check in for a 5AM flight. Uber is $30 to the airport if you book ahead.
- 5/5
The man staffing the front desk was super helpful and appeared cheerful to help. I look forward to my stay on my return trip home.
- 3/5
When I arrived to check in, the lobby smelled very strongly of marajuana. I asked the clerk if she had any idea how strong the pot smell was and she said it’s always like that ‘cause it’s legal there’. She asked if it was legal where I’m from and laughed it off. She did tell me if my room smelled like pot to let her know and she’d move me to another room. Thankfully the room was at the far end of the hall and it was fine.
- 3/5
Room was ok for the price. There is some airplane noise and fairly thin walls so bring ear plugs if a light sleeper. My air conditioning unit also had a weird squeak but I tried to ignore it. I was only there one night passing through so it did the job. Breakfast consisted of oatmeal packets, peach yogurt, bananas, and a pancake maker. Was disappointed with that.
- 5/5
Easy access
- 2/5
One of the beds was dirty
- 5/5
Quick and easy check in. Free shuttle from the airport.
- 4/5
The only thing I don’t l like is that the property doesn’t have elevator and breakfast is so early
- 4/5
Good option for an inexpensive stay. You are near airport so can hear planes overhead. Staff is efficient and pleasant. Breakfast options are minimal.
- 5/5
Close to conference centers and airport. Easily accessible lots of parking
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom. It is a good economical choice and close to the airport.

Very nice overnight stay.
- 5/5
Great place to stay.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Thank you Stacy
- 3/5
AC is loud & not so effective.
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
Bathtub and hot water 👍
- 5/5
I loved that moisturizer was provided. Breakfast was humble but great! And I was given a snack when I said I was hungry at check in. That was very kind.
- 5/5
Great find for the price. Nothing fancy but it was clean and comfortable. Plenty of space in the room. Everything worked. Front desk was kind and efficient. Shuttle was great. No noise from neighbors.
- 3/5
I booked this hotel because it had a guest laundry and breakfast included. The breakfast was practically non existent and on the second day we brought own food.
- 2/5
The super 8 was clean but the guy on the night staff was ok. The breakfast was disappointing albeit the area was clean. The room was nice. The cleaning staff was friendly. The morning staff was nice. Overall ok. But would have to compare with other options if staying in Portland again.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
Very disappointed with the breakfast choices. Also texted the desk Clark and he never responded. After the initial text to welcome me to the hotel.
- 5/5
Great room and a great price. Everything was clean and the room was quiet.
- 4/5
Convenient and Clean for a one night stay.
- 3/5
The location is right next to the freeway. There was a constant thumping noise of vehicles going over the overpass.

Our stay at the Super 8 by Windham in Portland turn into a real nightmare when we realise our trailer was stolen in the hotel backyard on July 27.The young men at the desk say it's safe to park our trailer there because they have security system but when my husband tell him what happen,he never pay attention or give help and say the camera was broken. In addition, the owner never call back the police officier to give acces to the security system who can give some informations about the bad boys who stole our trailer. They also scratches our Jeep when they move the trailer over to take it away and go out.We call the police to place complain but the officier say it's always the same thing all along the Airport Avenue in Portland for many years and they never have help from the motels owners or employees.Police officier say don't leave your Harley-Davidson there so we must move it at the police bureau in Portland to save it from thiefs run in the neighborhood. We must rent an U-Haul trailer to move it back in Québec Canada where we live.Someone at the restaurant tell us to post it on a Facebook site called PNW Stolens cars in Portland and that's what we do to try to recover the trailer. We never come back in Portland and always remember the guys who steal our trailer and the ones who never give help to recover it.Shame on you Super 8 by Windham Portland Airport,we never come back anymore and I post it on my Facebook page to warn travelers about the way you treat your guests.
- 4/5
I staff. Was excellent
- 4/5
Rooms clean. Agent courteous. Drivers to airport competent and safe
- 5/5
No swimming pool
- 4/5
Staff was no where to be found when I tried to check out . I almost missed my flight.
- 5/5
Friendly staff affordable and very close to the airport which was convenient
- 5/5
Nice clean room and value for the price.
- 5/5
The front desk was very friendly and knowledgeable.
- 4/5
Good place to stay before an early departure at the airport the next morning but vending machines didn’t work.
- 2/5
The lobby was old and dirty. The room was on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. That pathway to the room was poorly maintained and not clean. Once in the room there were red droplet stains covering around the light switch and sink by the bathroom. The tub was rusted and drained slowly. The toilet seat was broken and slid off to the side. The office chair was completely ripped on two sides and the cloth chair had suspicious white stains on the seat. The carpet was old and dirty. The sheets and towels seemed clean. Had I had a vehicle I would have traveled to another motel. For about $140 it was a terrible example of a hotel.
- 2/5
Stayed one night and won’t be back.
- 4/5
Not too bad
- 4/5
This is an "upscale" Super8 with an efficient and friendly staff including a free and very early/late airport shuttle. It was perfect for my needs and exceeded my expectations.
- 4/5
Front desk staff very nice. Room great for what we need. Good shower. Nice towels.
- 4/5
There was a small fist hole on one side of the bathroom door.
- 4/5
Staff was very helpful. Bathroom sink was clogged. NO ELEVATOR
- 3/5
The air conditioning unit was so noisy. We couldn’t sleep, but it was so hot. We had to have it on.
- 1/5
The outside lighting and overall appearance. Dingy nothing bright and fun or attractive about the place. Maybe higher a landscaper instead of Chuck the maintenance man. Spend some money on some lipstick. Don’t make your patrons pay for it either. Make cuts elsewhere. You can be cheap and quality as well. Thanks
- 5/5
Close to the airport and the shuttle was on time. The room was clean and the price was fair. I would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Quiet, clean, convenient…
- 5/5
I called to confirm I would be a late check-in due to a flight delay and Tracy said no problem. when I got to the hotel. Karen checked me in and she was so friendly and so kind, and because I was checking in so late she gave me a late checkout which worked great for my schedule. everything about the stay as I mentioned earlier was excellent- clean etc. both shuttle drivers from the airport to the property and back are very friendly and helpful. breakfast was somewhat slim but satisfactory.
- 5/5
was great for a one night stay! the great price and the free shuttle from PDX was why i booked, and it was perfect. super easy and convenient. vending machine was sold out of waters but they had ice and convenience stores were close enough by to grab snacks for the night. thank you!
- 3/5
I didn’t like the area the hotel was in. We had a rental car, and license plate was required. The shower was difficult to operate. Traffic was horrible when we were trying to locate the hotel.
- 5/5
Nice & quiet

- 5/5
Highly recommend for the value. It is safe, convenient, and clean. The front desk people are always helpful and friendly. The shuttle was reliable and available late evening which was welcome. Breakfast was basic but commensurate with two star.
- 4/5
Staff service was prompt, welcoming and professional!
- 5/5
Thanks for watching my bag while I explored the city.
- 2/5
There was mold speckled all around the bathroom ceiling and suspicious looking spots on the wall. There was used soap in the shower and holes in the towles. Front desk was nice enough. After seeing the condition of the room, I didn't have faith in their cleaning and passed on the free breakfast.
- 2/5
Promised breakfast - none provided - a driver brought a few bananas etc for us

Lighting outside at night was sketchy and made me feel unsafe. Property had several areas both outside (mostly) and inside that needed some updating and/or repairs. Definitely seemed rundown or poorly maintained. My biggest complaint is the continental breakfast options. There was NO cereal or muffin/bagel option. There was no protein option like hard boiled eggs or cheese sticks. There was NO decaf coffee option either. Worst continental breakfast I’ve EVER had at a hotel!!! Would not recommend this place to anyone and would never stay here again. Total WASTE of my money! Very sad!

Nice staff clean and very comfortable

This was a last minute stay after travel delays. I was disappointed that the airport shuttle wasn't available when i needed it. This is an older property but recent upgrades are nice. It was clean and the bed was quite comfortable.

It is a great cheap hotel to stay at before a flight out of PDX in the morning, there are few amenities, the room was hot upon arrival, the hardest part was being on the 3rd floor with no elevator and plenty of luggage.

Waiting for the shuttle, we saw a homeless guy going through the trash bins in the front. We decided to wait inside. The front desk clerks were nice and also offered us a breakfast to go bag but we declined.

Wife and I needed alone time from our kids. Popped in here for a couple hours and it was perfect. The room was underwhelming but served its purpose

Good price

Price was everything for me nice hotel convenient and quiet for being next to a freeway and the airport I slept like a rock and I’m a light sleeper, front desk was very attentive made sure to let me know about shuttle and called me in the am to make sure I didn’t miss it! The night clerk watched me come in with my dog then called to make sure I paid the pet fee so they don’t just look out for customers but the company as well! For the budget minded traveler this is an excellent choice!

I liked that they always answered the phone especially when I called for a shuttle at 10 pm. Definitely awesome front staff even if it was only her.

There are no restaurants within walking distance. Only way to get food is to drive or use Grub Hub
