Room was located in the front side of the building. Across the street is a car wash with loud blowers to dry vehicles. There was a fire alarm in the late evening, someone had burned some rice. The next morning, Management did not allow late check out- rude staff.

I loved it . Allowed me to check in earlier. The breakfast was amazing 😍. 2 minutes walk to Costco , Burger King and other restaurants. Very very clean

Hotel staff was friendly. Breakfast was coffee and a granola bar. They didn’t even have a dispenser of water. Just a vending machine. I forgot my toothpaste and they had run out. I expected more.

I had a reservation that was completely PAID for, I called at 6:30pm to let them know I would be a late check in, I was told they gave away my queen size bed and they only had a room with 2 doubles, I told them whatever that’s fine I’ll still take it. Well when we showed up after our concert, at midnight mind you, they told me they gave my room away again. Like what???! That’s crazy, they told me some weird crap about the house keeper not being able to clean rooms, not sure how that’s my problem with a 12 hour notice.. but ummm they were rude and didn’t care we had to sleep in the car cuz it’s was MIDNIGHT!!!

From the pool not being open for use to the “FREE” breakfast that consisted of cold weak coffee and 3 breakfast bars. The overall experience was not what was advertised.

This property is well maintained and excellent for the price. The continental breakfast is all packaged items but can get you started. I will be staying here off & on for the next few weeks, no complaints…..

One of the improvement ideas for the hotel management is to add a gym.

The kitchen needed a few more items in order to cook. the room was clean, inexpensive. The reception was frustrated with management. The breakfast provided was coffee & breakfast bar.

The room was great! It was exactly as the photos showed and it was easy to check in. The front desk staff were kind and explained if I needed anything that they would assist. Parking is free and safe on the premises. I would book again.

Not worth it

overnite hiking stay with a friend. Friendly check in and reserved a quiet room for us. Bed comfy room nice. But there is no toiletries, big kitchen, but there is no pots or bowls or anything. Breakfast is a joke, should just call coffee with bar.

Incompetent staff at check in. I had a prepaid room and the staff couldn’t check me in. Showed me her tablet and there was a note that indicated someone already checked in using my reservation and checked out. Hotel is pretty old but covered up with refreshed paint and laminate flooring. Hallway had strong smell of weed and other strange odors.

Only stayed 1 night But my only disappointment compared to the other extended stays I’ve stayed at is there free breakfast. Normally at other locations it’s decent. Calling it free breakfast at this location is stretch. That being said the staff was great room was clean and the price was right

But no matter what I said or reported above, the overall experiences are quite okay. Specifically in our case at the ESA San Ramon, the staff services were great. Particularly a lady staff, Allison Duda, was superb! Exceptionally wonderful! She'd made our stay there for 5 days quite comfortable, easy and happy! For that, we'd like to highly commend her work at the ESA. Many thanks to the entire staff at the San Ramon ESA! Best!

The room was clean and considering other extended stay properties, San Ramon Bishop Ranch East was way better. The standard WiFi doesn’t work at all and very limited breakfast options.

My stay was great! Staff was really pleasant to deal with and made check in easy and smooth. The room was extremely clean and roomy. It provided everything I needed and met my needs!

Clean and the beds were decent- all we can ask for since that’s all we needed for this trip. There is not much else but it was a quiet location to sleep at.

The rooms are very clean and in great condition compared to other Extenda Stays. By far the most professional staff and facilitiy.

The water in the bathroom sink trickled out and it never got hot. Only long enough to brush your teeth. And barely wash your face. We told the woman at the desk and barely got a sorry.

The day I was to arrive.

When I went to check in. My reservation could not be found. It was found underneath someone else's booking who already checked in. Took me four hours to get checked in and things fixed between being on so many different phone calls. Woke up to the pipes being broken so we couldn't flush the toilet or shower or wash hands or anything. C

There was a man upstairs sliding furniture around all night from 2:00am-3:30am…I told the front desk and he addressed the matter but after he talked to him, he started slamming things on the ground and being even louder. I requested a refund and did not receive one next day. The lady at the front desk said he’d been staying there for months. Also, shady people in south facing parking lot sitting in there cars watching people go in and out of hotel. if people are not going to be respectful toward your guests at 2:00am they need to leave.

We've stayed here several times in the last few years. Nice place, clean rooms and the staff is always friendly. We like that we DON'T get maid service everyday as we usually have the Do Not Disturb sign at other hotels.

The stay is off what seems to be a busy street. However, in the room I had, there were no noise issue. I don't know if it was because of the room facing away from the road (inner "court", facing the pool), or good sound insulation, or something else. Plenty of parking all around the place. (I normally don't eat any breakfast provided by the place I stay at, so I can't comment on that ...) The staff was very helpful and friendly. That always make a stay pleasant. Overall, I would pick this place again.

The room lacked basic amenities like coffee maker, cups, glasses...etc. Front desk was reluctant to give it when requested. Also, the beds were not very comfortable. Breakfast was very disappointing as well.

It was pretty cheap and I thought it would be dirty and old. But it wasn’t that bad. It’s also not an 5 star hotel. So not bad for the price

There are kitchen appliances, but that’s it. No cookware, no plates or glasses, no flatware. Nada. Apparently you pay extra for that. Fortunately I had some chopsticks with me and could eat my frozen dinner. It’s okay otherwise. But unless these things are corrected I wouldn’t stay here again.

It's close to Berkeley and I love the fact Costco is right next door. It's was a pleasant experience.

All I can say is ANTS. Ants everywhere. Even my neighbors had the same issue. Can’t leave food out for a second because the ants will literally appear. All staff can do is wipe them away.

This is a perfect place to stay nestled amongst plenty of restaurants and things to do. Roomy, clean, comfortable. Staff was very friendly and they provide you everything you need if you want to cook in your suite. Definitely recommend especially with reasonable prices.

The property was fine. Not overly beautiful and not horrible, just fine. It served his purpose for what I needed.

Breakfast had only coffee for a beverage

Arrived after midnight for late check in. Called ahead to advise. When we arrived, the night audit was going, and we along with other parties were unable to check in until it was complete. Waited for an hour, adding to an already long trip. Then the room keys wouldn’t work. It was 2 am before we finally got into our room. Staff was very apologetic. Maybe night audits could be scheduled after all late check ins arrive.

The room appeared clean, but unfortunately there was a noticeable odor that lingered throughout my stay. When I followed up with the front desk for an itemized receipt, I found the staff (Mary I believe) to be less than friendly. A more helpful and courteous approach would have been appreciated.

Some staff negative, not welcoming at all. Check in not smooth unlike other new places, old style must have the original physical credit card, delayed, almost refused, later told us “no breakfast”. Noisy, hard to sleep! Heater turned off better, but fridge kept making constant noises no way to stop, the staff: it’s “normal” helpless night! Nice building outside, area seemed not bad. Coffee n muffins in the morning. Thanks Alison and Mary!

The place was great , we loved it , planning to stay here again.

Quiet and within walking distance of shopping and food. Near the freeway, but not close enough that you heard traffic from it. The person who checked me in was terrific, but after that I rarely saw any front desk staff. The on the go breakfast snacks left a lot to be desired. Free parking.

The rooms are very clean. They all have the large toilet seat. A lot of parking, even for big truck. Sadly the breakfast is very poor, just coffee and muffins.

The person checking us in wasn't very personable. Didn't say much or tell us anything about the facility. Also, we couldn't even read what he wrote on the key card envelope. Had to go back and ask him what it said. Rather then give us directions to our room, like go left or right...down the hall, etc. He just pointed to hallway and said 'down that way'. Also didn't say anything about the exit door and that its best if park over there for quick acess to our room. These are all the things that other places we stay offer. Also, no folding luggage rack, for short stays...not long enough to use dressr.

I was only around for a couple of evenings, the only downside was that the noise from the guest upstairs was mildly annoying.

Facility was fine. Room was large and included a kitchenette. Bed was comfortable. No issues

Only issue i had was i later called for a folio and they proceeded to advise me there was an herbal smell in the room. I had a white tea & sage spray from Bath & Body works and the window was open my entire stay. This was right outside the downstairs entrance so i was unsure why there was an issue. Either way they excused it but was odd to claim when

The staff was absolutely amazing! They went above and beyond for me since there was a mixup with my reservation. The front staff was understanding and made sure my room was saved even while figuring out the error.

It is not great but good enough. Tv channels are terrible not many, bed very uncomfortable, sagged on 1 side so I changed sides. Desk small no room, no casual chair to sit n watch tv, No dish soap for kitchen, no towels

One of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed at. The rooms are spacious and have a kitchen which is really convenient if you’re staying for a while. Staff is always pleasant and welcoming. Really pleased with my experience and will continue to come to this location.

Basic kitchen and suite- you have to request kitchen items. Shampoo is also on request. Just 2 bars of soap for bathroom. Hard floors make the room feel less cozy, but for a one-night stay, it was adequate.

Have stayed multiple times for work, nice all around.

The staff are super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the hotel generally quiet. The one amenity I would like to see is a hydration station/drinking fountain to fill water bottles. We try not to buy single use plastic. We would definitely stay here again when in town.

00/nt, so cant expect much. Has full kitchen, but no table for eating unless using desk. Im used too thick comforters--all bed covers were thin. Oh well

stove for cooking and a large fridge for all your groceries and a sink to wash dishes and silverware, that they also provide for u at no extra cost. My favorite was the incredible warm staff, that were always eger to help and never rude. They exceeded my expectations. Hot coffee and oatmeal with muffins every morning without fail and the rooms were impeccable, with showtime channels on the flatscreen and a large bathroom and mirror with a blowdryer to get ready for work or play. I was not expecting much because of the low price and the location being so busy, close to shops, grocery stores, restaurants and downtown but I was pleasantly surprised by my week long stay. Im not alaways easy to please but the staff was trained well and the cleanliness of the hotel every minute no matter how busy it was really was the cberry on top!! 10 stars and I will be back soon, thank you for making my transition from home so easy and comfortable!!! Great job! I will be back soon!

Friendly staff at check in. Upgrade was only $10 more! I got here after dark so I didn’t get to see much of the outside of the building. But I couldn’t help but notice all of the nearby stores!!

We have stayed at four different Extended Stay properties in the Bay Area. This is by far the best one. Much better property than the others. Newer and much cleaner.

Wasn’t really there long enough to rate it. All and all good place. Bed was just ok. Wish there was a business center.

I had a great stay at Extended Stay America in San Ramon. The location was perfect—right in the middle of San Ramon, close to the freeway for easy access to the Tri-Valley area and other destinations. The neighborhood felt safe, and there were several fast food options nearby, which was convenient. The room was comfortable, and I enjoyed my time there. Unfortunately, I had to check out early due to an emergency, and I chose not to ask for a refund as a courtesy. However, it would be a nice gesture if Extended Stay America could reach out and offer a refund for the day I couldn’t use.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was very conveniently located off the 680 freeway and near the Ironhorse bike trail which we used one morning to bike to Walnut Creek. The room was clean and comfortable. Only thing missing was bowls, silverware, etc. which I expected to find in an Extended stay America. These things are available at the front desk if you ask for them, but I assumed they would come in every room
