Reviews
The hotel received mixed reviews with guests praising the large rooms, good breakfast, and friendly staff. However, there were numerous complaints about the cleanliness of the rooms, poor management, and issues with parking, including a lack of space and additional fees.

Well first off I went in the room straight to the bathroom after long hours of driving and found a big black spider on the wall freaked me out and stayed on my mind the whole night if there was anymore and second the tv never worked and I complained about it in the front and they were no help then it was very very hot in the room all night
- 4/5
I was put in a corner room. So hot water took longer to get hot, as well as taking too much time for the air conditioning to circulate thru the room. Also wasn’t a fan of having to pay to park as hotels in area right next to this particular property don’t charge to park.
- 5/5
really great staff, spacious room :) limited parking though
- 4/5
Location and affordable. The windows aren't tight enough. Still heard noise from outside.

We were charged before being informed about the $20 nightly parking fee. This was never mentioned upfront, and we had to argue with staff just to get the charge removed because we were not properly notified beforehand. To make matters worse, our stay happened during the chemical leak crisis in the area. When we asked the front desk what to expect in case of evacuation or emergency procedures, we were told not to worry because the hotel was “not close to it” even though it was only about 9 miles away. Their dismissive attitude toward a serious situation was incredibly concerning and unprofessional. The staff throughout our stay were rude and made what should have been a relaxing trip completely miserable. We even contacted Expedia about possibly checking out early, but Expedia repeatedly tried contacting the hotel and could never get anyone at the front desk to answer. Overall, this hotel added unnecessary stress to an already difficult situation. Poor communication, rude service, lack of transparency, and no concern for guest safety made this one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. We will never stay here again.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect for our quick overnight stay.
- 1/5
Terrible night. No hot water, bed was horrible flat and sank in the middle. Will never stay there again.
- 5/5
Clean and the rooms were big
- 3/5
Well, festering with water bugs and have seen those in the year, when I lived back east, too much noise in the hallways
- 3/5
It was alright. They charge $20 for daily parking. My neck and my back hurt sleeping on this bed. I got itchy as I lied down on the couch. Maybe they need to sanitize it.
- 5/5
That room was great and breakfast it was great

Proximity to the event we were attending. Name on reservation wrong name, don’t know where the other name was from. It was not corrected including in my bill.its someone else’ Name. Front people at hotel said there was nothing that could do about. But my credit card receipt for proper payment was correct. The bed was awful , not comfortable at all. Air mattress has more support.

Overall, staff were very pleasant, property was well maintained. However , at no time during my check in process was I informed that they will be assessing a parking overnight fee. Received invoice / receipt via email after checking `out stating that my card on file was accessed two night parking fee. this was not for Valet service. Self parking !!!!!! incredibly disssapointed.
- 1/5
We Did not eat breakfast, I have to park across the property and another property.Because of parking lot was full
- 5/5
I gave a written review of this place and it was a 5 star review. No complaints. They know how to run that hotel better than you'd expect. Everything clean, everything safe, everything comfortable. Not a thing to look out for at all. Absolute stress free stay.
- 5/5
This place is going to give the other hotels a hard time keeping up. The staff first of all couldn't be any better. Every single member of their team wants to win. You feel genuine happiness and care when dealing with them and no weird vibes whatsoever. So helpful and attentive. They have probably the absolute COOLEST machine EVER in the lobby where you can easily choose what hot beverage you'd like and it instantly makes it for you. I drank new things I've never even heard of and they were delicious. Complimentary also . The breakfast was better than all of em . I would know because ive eaten all the breakfasts from OC HOTELS as im a regular traveler for business... they are currently working on getting the place finished since it's brand new. But i believe they did the work a floor at a time so there's no construction noise to bother you. Now the rooms! Oh my goodness. Just the absolute perfect hotel room... absolute best layout ever. They have a complimentary water bottle water machine as well. The only thing is, they do not have a pool or jacuzzi. Also they could benefit from adding a chair or two in the very back where you are able to smoke a cigarette. I know orange County is my a fan of smoking however. Travelers do smoke and sometimes we are old and need to sit down.

Clean and great welcoming staff
- 5/5
This was my second time staying at this hotel, and once again, everything was excellent. I had requested the same room as my previous visit because I really enjoyed it, and I truly appreciated that they were able to accommodate my request. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Quite,Clean, The service staff were friendly.

Clean room. Good breakfast staff was really friendly. Overall would definitely stay here again
- 0.5/5
The refrigerator ran very loudly and interrupted my sleep. I told the front desk and they told me to unplug it myself. I paid $20 for parking and they tell me I have to go park across the street for that $20 because their parking lot is too small.

First: I was notified there will be a $20.00 parking fee when I was never notified during the booking. Secondly: The shower head/hose was spraying water all over. I wonder, does house keeping not check these thigs?
- 2/5
you get why you pay for. The lights by the beds didn’t work. The hot water was little to none. The balcony screen was ripped. The bed was comfortable.
- 3/5
The elevators only one was working, staff was nice, but was undergoing construction and should’ve been listed as a lower price for the inconvenience and appearance of hotel, breakfast was decent as well
- 2/5
No power for the outlet and microwave, shower not probably work; door not probably work, check in require more than 30 min. Very poor experience.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Clean property all around. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Everything in working condition. Property was in undergoing some painting renovations but we didn’t mind. I feel I got my moneys worth. I would definitely stay there again.

Everything about this trip was great. The stuff were amazing
- 1/5
1- we showed up early and asked for a room in the higher parts of the hotel. 2- on check in Tyler states there was no note stating we had requested that. 3- after a long day at the park my daughter goes into the room and decided on taking a shower, SCREAMS that their are bugs everywhere, we obviously go look and yes nats, bugs ants i dont know what it was all over the sink , we continue to look at the beds and same thing it was everywhere. i go downstairs to tell tyler and he states " oh sorry " and gives me the room next door, when we opened the room next door SAME THING, BUGS everywhere. i go back down stairs and NOW they randomly have a room upstairs. we did go check it out but it was just too much and we requested a refund and we left,. mind u this is was aroun 11 pm after a long day at the park. bugs in the sink , on the beds on the couches, ill load pics so you can see for urself and the end a very nice lady helped us out very much cant remember her name but i do remember tyler and his i dont care attitude. cant believe this hotel is a marriott. side note- we did get our refund , took a week but we got it
- 1/5
Really bad place dirty and nasty and ugly
- 3/5
Why i have to pay for parking 20 dollar for each car.??? Really i want my money back, and they need to work better in the front desk.. iwas already pay for my room and they charged me again...

- 5/5
Main complaint is parking. We had to park across the street. Smaller complaint as that there was no sign that said Express Inn. We had to go off of the address.
- 5/5
Its being renovated but its still clean and have great customer service
- 5/5
Staff was great, I was a very late check-in due to traffic. When I arrived, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, even though I arrived at 1 AM, Thank you!
- 3/5
The property is in construction so there is no breakfast and swimming pool even though the listing still shows breakfast included and swimming pool available. A bit disappointed
- 5/5
The second time there we like the type of rooms they have. Feels more like being at home away from home separate bedroom and living room.
- 5/5
Change towels, they are very worn and old. Change towels, they are very worn and old.
- 3/5
Outside Property was OK but the plants need water. The hallway was very warm, due to lack of air-conditioning. All in all it was OK. I’d like to see the place but all the rooms are complete in the hotels back up to hundred percent like i’m sure we’ll be there soon. Thank you hotels.com to you for I’m going great customer service

Poorly marked, no address on outside of building, no signage
- 5/5

- 4/5
The property needs work. The ceiling in the hallway had leaks, so buckets were placed along the hallway to catch the leaks.
- 5/5
This hotel is perfect. Location is nice, rooms are very nice and upscale. Breakfast was good. Parking was easy.
- 4/5
Close to the fwy
- 5/5
Room was very spacious and located near shops and the beach
- 4/5
No swimming pool
- 5/5
We had some ants in our room, along with a tub that wouldn't drain, but they promptly moved us to another room on the same floor. Everyone was nice. The maintenance acted in a professional way and was able to fix laundry machines that weren't working at the time. Would come again. Thanks
- 1/5
Not only in the hotel but next door building constructions created noise causing loss of sleep. Expedia charged us for parking while it was free at the hotel and still not received credit for it!!!
- 3/5
My experience was not great but it wasn't bad either. Parking is limited here and I had to park across the street. Also they gave me a room that was already occupied as well but then put me in A different room. Overall was not bad and they fixed the issues but was inconvenient
- 2/5
The room was clean but very bare. The tv in our room did not work and the bathroom had no additional things like q tips. Over all it was a quick stay for us but would not have stayed past one night.
- 5/5
Very nice
- 5/5
Overall satisfied with stay. The floor hallway did had a small roof leak that the staff had a bucket set in order to catch the water.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean rooms and good breakfast
- 5/5
Our stay was overall very great. The dayshift staff was very sweet, helpful and answered all my questions. No issues with parking, room was very clean and spacious, good channels for kids and adults. The only slight issue I had was the mattress is a bit stiff. Building is old but they are doing great with renovation and cleaning staff
- 4/5
This hotel is nice and clean
- 1/5
The checking was great, after I settled in my room I got ready to go out and get some food. When I came back to my room I wasn’t able to go inside my room. I went down to the office and they told me that the key card reader died and the battery needed to be replaced. They send me to another room. But couldn’t access to my personal stuff because my things were inside the locked room. Keep in mind it took them more than 12 hours to get access to my room yes more then 12 hours. To get my stuff out. I couldn’t sleep well. I kept checking every 3 hours to get and update. they kept telling me they were waiting for someone to come and fix the key card reader. I have never had a horrible experience in a hotel until that day. Never ever do I want to go back there, horrible experience and waste of my time and money. I honestly wanted to get a refund but I honestly was so drained and tired I just left as soon as I was able to get my belongings from the room.
- 4/5
The apartment has ants on the bed and on other furniture. The refrigerator was broken and the replacement froze all of my vegetables. I needed help.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Very clean. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
- 4/5
The bed mattress was old and unconfutable. The bed base was metal and it was loose, noisy and just bad.
- 4/5
It was a very nice hotel that was being renovated however it was clean, quiet and a nice stay. Wish it served breakfast.
- 2/5
Upon arriving back to our room after being out. There were ants all the beds and walls. Front desk got us another immediately. However the second room's fan was loose and we couldn't run the air higher than the lowest setting
- 4/5
Front desk people were great!
- 5/5
very nice!
- 1/5
I got admitted into the wrong room and someone else tried coming in my room while there. The attendant gave me the wrong number and I had to keep going back to the office to get a new key and a new room. It was terriblr
- 5/5
Nothing. It was a beautiful night
- 5/5
Very clean and close to everything
- 1/5
It says they serve breakfast but they didn’t served during the days I stayed. It also says it has a pool and spa, but it is cover with concrete. They check me in incorrectly so my card was not working the second day. They also did not clean my room. The day I arrived the housekeeper open my door when I had like 30 minutes there for cleaning. But they did not clean the next day. Customer service was very poor. They looked like they had no idea of what they were doing.
- 1/5
Not fully functioning or staffed. Pool filled in with concrete. No breakfast as advertised. Parking was free but small and tightly packed in. Thin ceilings and noise. Loud ac in unit. Lumpy uneven beds. Oh and they charged me a $200 deposit for only staying one night. Hope I get it back.
- 2/5
We drove from Sacramento to Santa Ana and arrived around 4 a.m. Saturday, only to find out our reservation had been canceled after midnight. The lobby was closed, but thankfully a kind receptionist saw us on camera, let us in, and reinstated our booking—she was the only bright spot. The lobby looked decent but was clearly under construction, with paint buckets behind the front desk and other signs of ongoing repairs. After a long 7-hour drive, we finally got to sleep, only to be blasted awake at 6 a.m. by nonstop, deafening construction noise that lasted until nearly noon. At 8 a.m., a different receptionist started calling and banging on our door, telling us we had to move our car or it would be trapped due to parking lot work. They told us to park across the street at another hotel, but that lot was filthy, filled with garbage, and felt completely unsafe. To make it worse, we couldn’t use the front entrance—we had to exit through a back emergency door, go down stairs, and cross a busy street with no crosswalk. The road curved right at that spot, making it nearly impossible to see oncoming traffic. Several times, speeding cars came out of nowhere and nearly hit us. The entire experience was chaotic, stressful, and absolutely unacceptable.
- 1/5
There was so many inconveniences starting with the parking lot and having to move my car to a different hotel lot. Having to use the back exit to leave. My hotel key card reader wasn’t working had to wait an hour and a half for “maintenance” to come and fix it. They mentioned breakfast and the pool was included, they didn’t have breakfast (tried offering me a water for the inconvenience) and the pool was nonexistent. Seemed like the place was under renovation, which in my opinion not the greatest place to stay at during a time like that.
- 1/5
They kept waking us up to move the car to la quinta and woke us up and we werent able to go back to sleep.
- 5/5
Great place. Definitely plan on staying here again in June.
- 5/5
The place was cool it's in the corner so it's quite. And it's right off the freeway the room was cool too. It has it separate sleeping area.
- 2/5
Nice room..BUT big BUT!!..the hot water took forever to warm up FOREVER!!..the TV furniture made an annoying noise when you walk by it or in the living room.. couch in the living room amazingly uncomfortable.. the pillows NOT comfortable at all.. and last forget connection to TV no hdmi connection all you can watch is terrible basic cable channels and yes the channels freeze.. other than that.. guess the free continental breakfast was not bad..oh yeah you'll find better lively welcoming hallways at the ER or your local hospital..
- 5/5
Clean property, friendly staff, the guy at the counter in the afternoon was very professional and courteous. I like how respectful the staff was and didnt rush us out when we were running late to check out. 10 stars to Hampton Inn.⭐️
- 5/5
CLEAN
- 5/5
Wonderful stay, the room was comfy and clean. The receptionist was amazing! Pretty decent breakfast.
- 1/5
If your room is anywhere close to the elevator don’t plan on sleeping as your walls will be shaking all night long. None of the power outlets worked in our room, TV didn’t work, towels were like sandpaper, curtains didn’t close all the way. Overall a terrible stay. The hotel only comped parking for being in this awful room.
- 3/5
Room service was hit and miss , sometimes you get towels sometimes you don’t. Parking was not available one night but was for the other nights. Room was very clean and well maintained. Front office staff were very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Staff went outnof the way to make sure we had a good stay.
- 5/5
This hotel was great! Easy check-in, comfortable beds, great breakfast. The only downside is the parking is awful—we had to park at another hotel across the street both nights.
- 5/5
It was a very nice area and accommodation were very comfortable, The breakfast was amazing ❤️
- 3/5
Room was not the cleanest and there was a good amount of hair residue from previous customers
- 3/5
The breakfast was nice: waffles, eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereal, bagels, muffins, fruit, oatmeal, juice etc. Didn't love that we had to pay $20/day (but I supposed typical for CA), or that when we got home at 11pm one night, we had to park across the street because their lot was full. We were there 3 nights and the maids never came. So on day 3 I called and asked someone to please come take our garbages out, all of which were overflowing, and I asked for more toilet paper since we were nearly out. The pool was cold and the hottub was broken, so that was a disappointment for our kids. the treadmill was also broken. but we loved using their peloton bike (works if you have a peloton account).
- 3/5
Convenient to where we needed to be. However, the rooms need updating especially the bathroom.
- 3/5
The shampoo and conditioner, body shower lotion and soaps dispenser were all empty. The door from the bedroom would not close.
- 5/5
The room is very large, but the facility is a little bit old. And seems not clean near corners.
- 3/5
My family and I were really looking forward to using the heated pool and hot tub. No heat for pool and hot tub was completely down. I really would have liked to be given a heads up before we got there so we could have made other plans for hot tubbing!
- 5/5
The room was good for the price. Nothing fancy, but decent.
- 1/5
Manager William did a terrible job at customer service. There was confusion between expedia and this hotel about my reservation. I paid for 3 nights and they showed only 2. I had to call expedia twice to remedy the situation which should have been the hotels job. Then your front desk staff hang up on expedia and then leave us on hold 40 minutes. I had to walk to front desk and ask William to pick up the phone while another employee was just standing there. I was given the wrong room. And then still checked out after 2 nights. My husband showed up 3rd day and asked for a new key to room. No one asked for his nsme or id. Good he wasn't there to kill me as no security check done. Just handed him a room key. No one apologized for any of this inconvenience. I will never stay at this terrible place again
- 4/5
Great place for the family
- 5/5
Nice property
- 5/5
Parking was challenging but overall experience was great
- 5/5
Great experience, Would stay there again
- 5/5
Great breakfast!
- 1/5
Terrible
- 4/5
A very clean and comfortable place surrounded by other nice hotels. The room itself was big, clean and nice. The included breakfast was very good. Just be mindful, they charge $20 extra for parking that is not so evident when booking through Hotels.com, especially since the Hotels.com website said all taxes and fees are included. Hence I gave this a 4 star rating instead of a 5 star.
- 5/5
Comfortable rooms
- 4/5
Nice stay.
- 2/5
The breakfast wasn’t great. The potatoes never tasted like they were cooked and the options for other things was very limited. They ran out of flavored coffee creamer, which sucked! The people above us were so loud that it sounded like they were coming through the ceiling. I complained multiple times and it didn’t seem to stop the people above us. We were given the option to change rooms the day before we checked out, but it didn’t seem worth it by that time. I don’t think we will ever stay there again. The front desk staff was very friendly though.
- 4/5
The location feels safe with a lot of choices for restaurants. Staff are friendly and nice. Not a lot of parking space in the hotel but have a pass to park at the adjacent hotel.
- 5/5
They didn’t have enough fruit eggs by 9 o’clock in the morning would like to see more of that until 10 o’clock
- 5/5
everything was exceptional
- 3/5
Spacious room and comfortable beds.
- 2/5
The hotel had construction going on. Woke up in the middle of the night to loud drilling noise and then again to loud landscapers outside the window that couldnt close. Sounded like a tree trimmer. Hotel was nice, but stay was not pleasant :-(
- 4/5
Ok
- 5/5
We were happy with our room and the friendliness of staff. Everything was super clean. Breakfast had very good choices.
- 3/5
The staff was great. My ratings are based on the cleanliness of the hotel. The carpet was very dirty. Did not even seem like it was vacuumed. In the dinning area of the breakfast the windows were very dirty.
- 5/5
Was greeted by Kyliee and was very helpful. Second day was greeted by Queen Dee and did a phenomenal job 5 star service
- 4/5
The ladies working on the front desk were very polite, they made the registration so easy and fast.
- 5/5
Loved it here
- 4/5
Customer service was good
- 5/5
Great will come back
- 5/5
Only issues was having to park across the street.
- 4/5
It was quiet, the staff was very friendly, however it was very difficult to find a place to park.
- 5/5
It's the best choice to stay in the area
- 5/5
I really like that the staff is always helpful
- 3/5
Eberything was good. The fridge in the room i believe is breaking down, a bit noisy at night when i was trying to sleep. Lol
- 3/5
The rooms between floors is noisy - we could hear every footstep above our heads. Then the Nextdoor business starts running equipment right outside our window at 5 am The hotel is being renovated but the renovated rooms are just lipstick - they need a real overhaul as the hotel is old now. The breakfast staff and night staff are awesome though!
- 4/5
The property was very quiet, clean, and modern. We had a minor issue with our room however the staff addressed the matter quickly. Would recommend staying here if your in the area.
- 3/5
There were bugs in my room. The staff did quickly move me to a different room once I saw them the second night. The first night I got in late and barely turned on the light. I wonder if they crawled all over me all night long!
- 2/5
Housekeeping did not do a good job cleaning the room. We found a sports bra hanging behind the bathroom door. We didn't say anything because we were tired and it was close to midnight. We also had a 2 year old toddler. We just wanted to sleep through the night and check out early morning. Definitely will not stay here again.
- 4/5
This was a great stay for the price! The hotel was under construction during my stay so I think it is on its way to being better. The carpet in my room was really dirty and after a few steps barefoot, the bottom of my foot was black. Also there was what seemed like no ventilation in the bathroom. Cleanliness could be improved but staff were super super friendly and I would return with slippers.
- 5/5
Everything was amazing,
- 5/5
Nice suites. Decent breakfast. Helpful staff. Clean.
- 5/5
The service was so great. The hotel is older and the pillows are not the best but they make up for it in quality of the staff. I'd take that anyday over a pillow.
- 4/5
I would love to give 5 stars all around but I can't. We were woken up by a very noisy forklift right outside our window at 5:30 am which was preceded by the awakening of the jumping child above us. The forklift was not on the hotel property but right next door. What city allows the running of a huge forklift at 5:30 am? Apparently, Santa Ana, CA.
- 3/5
There was a free Wifi option, but they try to scare/steer you to paying and/or registering for some rewards program. So, those two things soured my experience upon check-in. The rest of the stay was good though.
- 4/5
Good for a night stay
- 5/5
Very kind staff and super close to Disneyland
- 4/5
Front desk staff were super nice and friendly
- 5/5
The ladies at the front desk were kind and gave us water bottles. Overall, I would stay again if I could have a similar experience.
- 5/5
It was perfect!
