The soundproofing is terrible; you can clearly hear footsteps, things dropping, and voices from the floor above.

The room and property look nothing like the pictures!!! I would NOT BOOK this place! The room was very musty and carpet did not seem clean, the sheets had black stains, towels had yellow stains, the vents had cobwebs, the shower water leaked all over the bathroom, the shower head was busted leaking down, the tissue holder fell off the wall. I can go on and on! Very poor kept! The only good thing was the breakfast and the breakfast staff they were great! But still do not stay if you think this place looks like this, they need to update the room pictures!! I would not have booked this place if I knew!

The room was nice and clean for the price. Bed was comfortable and the towels were thick and soft. My only complaint is that the windows are NOT soundproof or double pane to keep noise out. This is a hotel; close to places like Disneyland, Knotts berry farm, etc. Kids are excited and that's expected. Unfortunately, they wake up early very excited and so they are running around yelling and screaming and it sounds as if they are in the bed right next to you as you try to get some sleep. Also, the heater/AC sounds like a freight train every time it kicks on to cool down or heat up the room. I was awakened about 6 or 7 times over the course of the night by the sounds of it firing up. It was extremely loud.

The breakfast was a very good breakfast each morning rooms were very clean. Staff was excellent and I wish you guys would have a hot tub that was the only thing that we felt was missing.

It was grummy. Rooms were not very clean, dirty bed, broken furniture. Elevator looked like it was about to break down mid ride and didn’t even feel comfortable letting my kids on.

There were a lot of noise from upstairs until late night, maybe because the hotel building was old so that they were horrible all sounds came in from down/ upstairs or next door. I stayed this hotel twice and at both of 2 stays it seemed like people staying there like parties. So if you want a quiet night avoid here.

The room was quiet, the ac was cold, and breakfast every morning was a nice perk. They really need a second waffle maker for breakfast. The waffle lines are long. It could benefit from an update, but we felt safe and slept well. We will definitely stay here again.

Standard room looks bigger in photos but clean. Breakfast was good. Parking was a little tight but ok. Staff was nice, helpful and allowed us to keep our luggage safe in the office while my family and I went to the beach before check in.

Unsafe environment and lots of guests smoking, some guests with shirt off and pants down near swimming pool. Disguishting especially if you travel with children. Lots of Police activity around this property. Our last occasion visit, there was a death body at the property surrounded by Police, Investigation Unit, and Coroner Van. We will never come back to this property and informed all friends and family members to stay away from this property in the future.

The room was very nice and clean! I loved the breakfast and had a relaxing time at the pool!! The only thing I miss about it was the elevator was not working.

Very good breakfast selection. Look like they had a nice pool and spa and outdoor eating area. Elevator was out of order they told us on arrival but it was right next to our room so our room was the farthest from the working elevator. There is a large gap under our room door where Light came in and lots of talking in the hallway that Echoed especially during the night at 1:30 in the morning. Rooms are nice but person upstairs from us was up until 245 stomping around. the bed is the lowest one I’ve ever seen. It’s just a few inches off the floor and hard to get out of. We didn’t realize until around 11pm that we only had one washcloth.. didn’t have any dealings with the staff except for at 6:30 am one staff came to the storage area, which was right across from our room and let the heavy door slam and woke us up when we just got to sleep at 3am .

Spotless and clean rooms. Stayed one night with my boyfriend and we had a peaceful and relaxing stay.

Location being very close to the airport and the shuttle service provided by the hotel were the most appreciable facilities for me. The price for the kind of room seemed quite high.

We had people on the floor above that banged around all night so finally at 2 in the morning the staff moved them to a new room. Unfortunate we were underneath them, glad that they were moved.

Our stay here was really nice and so relaxing. We enjoyed the pool area and layed out. The breakfast was not extensive but sufficed while we got ready in the morning. In a great location, really close to many hotspots in OC and not too far from the beach. Plan to come back again!

Very nice staff. The room was clean and we'll maintained. We liked our stay here and we're generally happy with their service and hospitality.

The bed was terrible. We requested use of free shuttle to airport. When we got to the front deask for the shuttle we were told there was no shuttle available and we would have to call a cab. Of course we had not previously scheduled the shuttle so we had to wait. Wirh all if this and TSA issues we barely made it to our gate.

We loved our stay here. Everything was clean. Staff was really nice. Kids enjoyed the pool and fire pit area. Breakfast was delicious! Neighbors were so friendly made us feel safe. Good area! Would definitely recommend.

Great staff, average continental breakfast, clean rooms, accessible washroom, there is security on site which is a big plus ensuring safety of guests. The fitness room as a whole needs to be revamped and equipment's need to be replaced and have better maintenance as most of the body workout machines are in a terrible state, completely rusted, worn down, unsafe as a whole.

Everything was great. Large staff on top of everything. Only downside.... breakfast! While ample assortment, quality not so much. Bad powdered eggs, raw 5 gallon bucket bacon, Raw Gray sausage(both links and patties), and i don't know about the muffins!! Undercooked and soggy!!!

Power went out in room and we had to switch rooms.

The stay was decent, decent breakfast and area wasn’t too bad. I booked two rooms; which one had a roach in. It was 4 of us in total. They went to complain about the discovery and got a new but the worker was unfazed as if this happened all the time. That alone made the stay eerie. We should have been compensated better for that.

The room was clean(ish) (dirt in corners of bathroom tiles, leaky toilet, drapes half falling off). Our room had a view of the power plant, the photos of the hotel don’t show that it shares a fence with a power plant, just a perfect angle of the pool. The bed was awful, so hard, the pillows were TERRIBLE, only slightly bigger than my laptop, square, hard, and lumpy. It felt like they took a sheet and put it in a pillow case and called it a day. We asked for a receipt at checkout and were told since we booked on a 3rd party our receipt will come from them, fair enough but what about something that shows that we will be getting our deposit back? Nope, can’t get that either. This hotel had an 8star rating, that’s a lie.

The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Hot tub was hot, the breakfast in the morning was good with several hot and continental options. Despite bustling with an out-of-town sports team, the staff kept it clean and well-stocked. Our shuttle was on-time for taking us to John Wayne Airport, and the price was reasonable. A recommended stay!

Breakfast was very good. I stayed at this hotel about a year ago and it was very positive so I thought I would go there again. I think they stopped doing maintenance about then. The AC in the room was very loud and clearly not operating properly. I turned it off but the one in the next room was also very loud and kept me awake all night. They moved my to another room (no apology or anything) the next night. That AC also didn't work properly as I had to set it to 63 in order to get the room to cool down to the mid 70's. But at least it was reasonably quiet and I could sleep if I got rid of all the blankets. Staff was inconsistent at best on how the deposit and room charges were handled. I wouldn't say the staff was rude but I wouldn't use friendly or pleasant either. Management needs to train their desk staff better and get some good maintenance guys. Would not go back.

You must reserve the airport shuttle 72 hours in advance if you want to use that service and be prepared to provide an additional deposit on top of the room rate which takes 3-5 days to return unless you use cash.

I checked in but didn’t stay. It was more of a motel than hotel, and I didn’t feel entirely safe. There was no shuttle to the airport either. However, the staff at the front desk was courteous and professional.

it was not ideal at all - did not like the room, also the telephone not working properly, had to go back to front desk, the second room door hardware not operating properly, had to go back again to front desk. Manager walked to the room, confirmed door issues and pushed door open. Door issues not resolved during my stay. Overall maintenance issues everywhere.

The room was okay. There was nothing special so I dont know why the facility has a high rating. Maybe I am missing something. The conditioner leaked in the shower and the shampoo was empty. The soap was brittle and barely lathered. Wouldn't be my first choice. The staff was nice.

Our stay was for a weekend trip and it was great! Breakfast was simple an basic (for us) but it was excellent, staff and service were great. Front desk was very friendly and amazing, we needed maintenance for the room and they were on it right away! Everything about this stay made our trip so convenient and enjoyable. After a busy day, I got back to the hotel and my room had not been cleaned for the day. I called the front desk in order to at least get some clean towels, and they did not have any clean towels at the hotel! This was not late night, it was 9 pm! My reservation was for pool view and they did not give a pool view room! Terrible experience. Will never come back to this place.

I’ve never seen a hotel that runs out of towels. You get back from a busy day and can’t even shower because they don’t have enough towels. It’s just downhill from there. Don’t stay here.

The staff were kind, but the room/bedding had a terrible odor. It was very loud, and the elevator had no posted permit or service log which is illegal. The door had really huge gaps to where someone could stick thier fingers through the bottom. The halls are all outdoor and face a pool courtyard. Locals lingering in the parking lot, and the outside of the hotel smelled like weed. I did not feel safe here so I checked out after one night. I was on work travel, however if I were to vacation I would not bring my family here.

Found a roach in the bathroom and was not aware of a motel instead of a hotel because all the doors are facing outside.

Our room had a pretty significant ant problem in the bathroom on the third day (no food, they were going for wet swimsuits). Not a high security location, houseless folks occasionally hung out in the pool area and around the lobby doors at night, I didn't see any non-guests going up and down the stairs but there's nothing to stop non-guests from walking all through the hotel and even up to your room window. There were plenty of kids there but I wouldn't bring my toddler again if only because the houseless folks around the pool made it feel uncomfortable for our daughter and she loves to swim so a pool is a must for us while traveling. I would definitely stay here again with adults :) I generally have no problem with houseless folks just trying to stay comfortable but twice there was a guy having a loud argument with himself and saying some pretty upsetting things for a long time in the pool area and walking up and down the stairs towards guest rooms, I feel like that is something the hotel staff should have had some boundaries over for safety and for maintaining a family friendly environment. Otherwise the staff were excellent and amenable.

No complaints. A recommendation: There was no soap in the bathroom. I mentioned this to the desk upon checking out after my stay. Checked in at 7PM checked out at 8AM. Was told at the desk that there was a shortage of soap and it was available upon demand. It would have been helpful IF there was a note at check in saying you had to ask for the soap. I assumed there would be soap.

The average rating is because of the room itself and location of our room. We were placed on the first floor right next to the stairs and elevator. It was loud all night and we could hear every word of every conversation happening outside our door. Not to mention the light that floods in because of the courtyard. It wasnt a bad experience but wouldnt necessarily book here in the future.

I’ve stayed at a bunch of hotels in Irvine and this one beats all of them hands down! The bedding is fantastic and the hotel amenities are wonderful. Check in and check out process was a breeze and the staff was friendly and provided excellent service. I’ll recommend all my friends and family to stay here.

Unfortunately our stay was less than desirable. When we walked into the room it was musty and smelled funny. Thankfully I brought a diffuser. We turned on the A/C but it really never got cool. I had to kill a live bug in the bathroom, hair was on the floor (not ours), we received a prank call at 3:30am, and there was not enough food at breakfast. The location was convenient to our event but that was about the only redeeming quality.

Don’t stay here. Lots of bugs in the room and spiders. Doors don’t seal and they crawl into room. The carpet was sticky and super dirty. Lots of families and kids running around with no supervision. Felt as if I was visiting my parents at their apartment in the hood. The trash cans outside overfilled and lots of nasty liquids ran down the walkways. The best way to describe this is lipstick on a pig.

This property is obviously older and the neighborhood is run down but the owners have kept up withmodernizing, fixing problems and providing for the needs of their guests. Its a great mix of old and new.It was clean. My husband was thankful of the roll in shower so he could clean up without help. The breakfast is very nice. It waseverything we needed.

The breakfast was better than many other US hotels, I can see they made an effort to reduce sugar in their items, but there is more to do. I'm glad I have an old car when I parked it in the parking lot where there was a homeless person hanging out. Took all my tools up to the room to be safe.

They advertising a shuttle available to the airport. I called and confirmed this. Morning I needed shuttle service they said it is no longer available.

They need to spray outside of their property with insects repellent - my renter car vehicle was infected with ants on the last day that we were going ro return the vehicle. I was charged over $500 to cover the cost of ant damages. I don't think I should be responsible for this, since the property was not safe. I tried to explain to the renter car company about this but they refused to listen. I am not sure whatelse I will be charged for.

I feel very safe staying here.The staff is Wonderful.. I've been here many times but this time I do have complaints. First of all do not stay in the back section, u will get bit up by mosquitoes and it's very humid back there, you will be sticky all night. I stayed one night in that room and asked to have my room changed which they did with not a problem. They were very nice about it. The second room I was in was good until I saw a huge cockroach on my floor. I did not complain because I am 100% sure it came from outside because that was the only one I saw..other than that they have great breakfast and the pool is nice. Though it's a great hotel to stay at I think either I will request a specific room next time or try another hotel.

The staff and breakfast was great. Issues we did have is that parking is tight if you have an SUV. Our room says pool view if you open you door to look out, our view was the parking lot and I had to use a towel on the bottom of our entry door due to the gap. But we would stay here again.

It says non smoking and we pull up and there was a guy with the window open getting high. It was 2:20 AM and a group of people outside our room partying probably drunk but being so loud. They sang happy birthday twice. I called for noice complaint because my kids were trying to sleep. In our room we had no toilet paper. They left whatever was left over from previous guest which was very little toilet paper. You get what you pay for.

It was a ok place to stay, someone got murdered the second day we were there at the hotel across the street which I know is out of there control. There was a strong marijuana smell on some nights. The breakfast was decent and staff was really nice overall is a ok place to stay

I wasn't sure what to expect when i arrived, but everything was very nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a great experience.

From the moment we arrived, everything has been excellent. Check-in was quick and easy, and we were offered a choice of floors. The first-floor pool view is perfect. The pool and Jacuzzi were great fun for my family and me. I appreciated that the staff was promptly cleaning the Jacuzzi this morning. And the complimentary breakfast? Outstanding! A huge selection of waffles, cereal, bagels, eggs, bacon, sausage, and coffee. It's been a wonderful start to our days.

Nice hotel, nice area? Close to the fwy and stores.

Stayed 5 nights, they only cleaned the room twice even though we were gone everyday shortly after breakfast. The carpets were filthy and we had to wear shoes in the room the whole time. The bed sheets were very worn microfibre. Breakfast options were ok and staff was friendly. Pool was nice. Probably would not stay again.

No complaints, satisfied with my stay. The room was nice and had pretty good breakfast. Great location too, you can quickly get to the freeways from the hotel.

Very comfortable and clean. The staff was polite and very helpful. The breakfast, which was included, was a bonus.

This was absolutely terrible. The air in the room was dusty and thick. Hard to breathe. The couch cushions were torn and tattered. The front desk clerk was extremely rude and unwelcoming. He made me feel like asking for a pillow and blanket for my son was asking too much of him. When trying to get out of there to get a refund we litterally had to go to the office to tell the guy to answer the phone because Expedia was trying to call him several times. We walked in and he was sitting next to the phone ringing. Walked up to the counter and stared at him for a minute and he refused to acknowledge my presence until I spoke to him. One of the worst check in experiences I’ve ever had. The door to the room reminded me of a jail cell door. He watched and let my wife walk in circles looking for the elevator with a giant luggage cart full of stuff before she finally asked where to find the elevator. We will absolutely never be back

Room was average. Clean enough. Comfortable enough. Bathroom and towels clean. Careful on the stairs since there just a tad uneven from step to step. Breakfast was good and staff there were friendly and helpful. Scrambled eggs. Sausage, potatoes. Usual cereal coffee juice fruit.

Staff was welcoming. Hotel was clwan and quiet and reasonably priced.
