Unreal Location to the beach in such a lovely chill town. The beach chairs and towels were very nice to use at the beach. We will be back!

We had an amazing time at Sabal Palms. It’s conveniently located just steps from the water. So close that if we had to use the bathroom…we would just walk back to our room. It’s great that they had parking and are able to park anywhere at Pass-A-Grille by your license plate. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Homeyness, location and puppy friendly Nothing
- 4.5/5
Great location in quiet Pass-a-Grille. Easy to walk to the beach or restaurants nearby, and they offer complimentary bicycles.
- 3/5
The location and staff are great Beware of booking a “ground floor”room. These rooms are actually below ground with windows at ground level, looking up into bushes, like a basement. When I complained, SB explained these rooms are branded as “shorty suites,” as if anyone would know what that meant, and that’s why they’re at “a lower price point.” they offered to switch us to another property location, which I appreciated, but at that point, we didn’t want to pack everything up and move for such a short stay.
- 5/5
Awesome staff, very generous with the beach gear and bikes available to borrow. Location was perfect! There was very little we didn’t like! Maybe the only thing was that the air conditioner was a bit loud.
- 2.5/5
Location can not be beat. A palmetto bug ran across the bathroom floor that was so big at first I thought it was a mouse.
- 4/5
Location People above stomping at all hours of night
- 4.5/5
Great location, steps to the beach. Access to beach chairs, umbrellas and beach cruiser bikes! Low ceilings in the 1st floor units . Could hear guests in 2nd floor units walking above us. Less natural light in the lower level units
- 5/5
Friendly people, clean and modern building, great location Nothing
- 5/5
Hotel. Com did a lousy job not letting me know where to get the keys to our room
- 4/5
Things not so top notch- bath towels- hand towels- washcloths dingy white and warn out. These really should be replaced. After first two days, washcloths were not replaced with fresh towels.(nit picky I know.) Some of the walls had stain marks - could use a Mr Clean sponge. The pictures in the bathroom had a film of old dust - not wiped down as a part of bathroom cleaning. There was dirt behind the bathroom faucet- stayed there the entire trip. A bit more attention to detail in cleaning would go a long way.
- 5/5
The beach was across the street, wish we could stay longer.
- 5/5
This place was exactly what I was looking for. Old Florida feel, cool/approachable/accommodati mm
- 5/5
The location is amazing people that work There are very accommodating and very nice and I’ve been going there for 25 years now this is my 10th time in 25 years.
- 5/5
The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I can’t think of anything.

Great stay here for our wedding. Was a great size for us to stay in, and have people come in and out pre/post wedding. The location was perfect, with the beach right across the street and shops/restaurants in a walking distance. Great stay, would do again.
- 5/5
Great rental right across from the beach. Very welcoming staff, clean rooms, amenities including access to bikes and beach chairs. We'll definitely be back!

Location, staff and amenities.
- 5/5
Not only was the room excellent but the hotel grounds were immaculate including the heated pool. The staff was really friendly and responsive to questions about laundry and parking. They even did my laundry for me! We will be back ASAP! ❤️
- 5/5
Staff very accommodating
- 5/5
Bed is too squishy but this is just a personal preference
- 4.5/5
Great location! Just steps from the beach. Very attentive staff.

Main room with bed and kitchenette was OK. Location was as promised. Overall, this room was OK for ONE person, but cramped feeling for two. Bathroom was SO small, it was claustrophobic. Closet did not have room even for suitcases. Only one luggage rack, so one suitcase was on the floor. They forgot to give box of tissue, and while this sounds petty, the toilet paper was so thin as to be almost unusable. We tipped the housekeeper nicely and she gave us a roll of much better toilet paper and a box of tissue. Price too high for what you got in this small village.
- 4/5
Nice stay.
- 5/5
Very Clean Room with Kitchen and Bath Necessities. Comfy bed with soft sheets and I rested well being a quiet area.... Wishing to keep it a secret gem to visit again!!
- 5/5
Great location. Everyone was so helpful
- 2/5
They didn’t tell us they were going to start renovations at 8:30 am. We were woken up with loud talking, machinery, and music. This 3 night relaxation stay was supposed to be a surprise dream for my wife’s birthday and it turned into a nightmare. I understand renovations have to be done, but the workers could have begun at 10-11… we are left with not very pleasant memories.
- 5/5
I loved it here ! I would come back again for sure. My fave beach as it has a small town feel and very walkable. It was not too busy this trip, I have been in March and it is much busier. ! Staff was wonderful and the accomodation so comfy, and welcoming
- 5/5
The location is tucked in but convenient. The accommodation for my grandma was nice. Heads up! Lots of steps but what a gem! Cozy and bony. Will come again!!
- 5/5
Charming property across the street from the beach. They provide beach chairs and bikes. Loved the small heated pool for days we didn't want the beach. Very relaxing place very close to downtown Pass-a-Grille.
- 5/5
I can say the bathroom door would stick and you may want to caulk along the bathtub. Also I thought we were getting a 5 person suite which was shown on our reservation but we did not get room that was shown on line. HOWEVER we were fine we with accommodations. I will go back. Staff was also super friendly and attentive.
- 5/5
Absolutely love property. Staff amazing.
- 4/5
Perfect location - loved the quiet and easy access to the beach
- 4/5
Just a few steps to the beach! The staff was friendly and helpful. Peaceful and comfortable surroundings. They should update the blinds for the windows for better privacy. Water pressure in the bathroom was low. Also make it ADA-accessible. I enjoyed my stay and hope to go back in the near future!
- 5/5
Cute room, loved the area
- 5/5
Super cute beach bungalow in a fantastic location. Friendly and helpful staff. Loved the room decor and pool. Appreciated having chairs and towels for the beach and complimentary bikes for exploring the town.
- 3/5
The handle in shower was broken and barely any hot water. No one in office to talk to.
- 5/5
The gentleman working the front desk was amazing ! He let us park early (3 hours early ) and let us use the paddle board and bikes before we even were officially checked in
- 5/5
Great time here. Close to beach. Staff were wonderful.
- 5/5
Perfect location. Right across the the street from the beach, a couple a blocks from all the restaurants. We stayed for the weekend and didnt have to use our car at all. The room was perfect for 2 people. Bed was comfortable, room was very clean. The beach right across the street was perfect. No waves, clear water and the sunset was amazing!! We will definitely be coming back!!
- 4/5
Cute property. Not on beach but across the street. Room had ants.
- 5/5
We absolutely loved our stay at Sabel Palms! Quiet, cozy, and the staff was friendly! Easy quick access to the beach. We will be back soon!
- 5/5
Right across from the beach. the room was great with kitchen, full fridge, sitting room, and bedroom. staff were friendly. very pleasant place to stay
- 5/5
I loved the cozy adorable room! Close to beach, and loved the place. It is a perfect getaway for 2. I stayed in room#8. Very clean and bed was really nice for sleeping.
- 5/5
Perfect place ...on the Gulf of Mexico....close to Passe de Gulf...very helpful staff....Great Stay
- 3/5
Location is excellent -- right across from the beach. But the accomodation was extremely disappointing. The picture on the Hotel.com site of the room was nothing like the one we got. There was no way we could put 4 people in it --we were fortunate one in our party dropped out. The unit was very old -- nothing had been updated and it was very cramped. It was clean, though, which helped. I can't really recommend this place based on our experience.
- 4/5
The gentleman at the reception desk was very kind and helpful!
- 3/5
Staff friendly. Location excellent. Stayed in room 8. Bed uncomfortable. Window A/C unit VERY noisy. Would stay again but not in room 8.
- 5/5
Staff is super nice, very welcoming. Room is very clean and local to everything.
- 5/5
Great location
- 4/5
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Gas grill, spa pool, beach chairs and bikes were all offered to us. Just a walk across the street and you're on the beach. Our room was a bit worn, especially the bathroom, which needs updating. All in all, we had a great time.
- 5/5
Very clean and quiet. Plus everything worked properly
- 5/5
Great place. I got there early and the room was ready so they let me check in. Also the parking was great cause you can park anywhere on the island for free.
- 5/5
I've stayed at Pass a Grille about 4 times and this was the best hotel. I just rebooked for 2 months from now. Facing the beach, steps away. Only 2 blocks from a cute little grill where we ate most of our meals. Parking very easy. Very clean and staff friendly and helpful.
- 3/5
Very friendly, helpful staff. Bikes and beach chairs to use for free is nice. Room needed updated badly. Showerhead was coming out of the wall and faucet did not adjust water temp properly, so we took cold showers.
- 5/5
I really appreciated that they provide loaner bikes and beach chairs. Very easy going and relaxed, just like it should be for a stay at the beach.
- 5/5
Downstairs units need more beach towel and swim suit hanging area
- 5/5
The Inn was a perfect beach vacation spot . It wasn't fancy... but the casual feel of the person was exactly what we were looking for. The staff were always around and super helping. One surprising feature was the availability of beach chairs, bicycles, and gas grills for those who wanted such.
- 4/5
It was near the beach, and within walking distance to the bach and several restaurants.
- 5/5
Exceptionally clean, amazing staff and perfect st Pete beach getaway. Love pass A Grille
- 5/5
Perfect location!! Very accommodating staff, nice beach chairs, floats and bicycles. Economy rooms have super low ceilings, but it was very clean and comfortable for us! I’m going back in a few months.
- 5/5
location, the staff and the proximity to the beach. there are no rooms with a view from the windows, but, the atmosphere is very beachy. i will go back.
- 4/5
Across from beach, outside areas to sit, bikes and beach chairs too. Rooms very clean and a great value for the area
- 5/5
I am not used to staying in a small hotel, but it was a pleasant experience and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Great location! Walk across the street to the beach and several places to eat and shop just a short walk away. We had a great time.
- 5/5
Super location with everything you need including beach chairs and bicycles. Must be able to go up and down stairs on most units.
- 5/5
Amazing location!!
- 5/5
They found my girlfriends gold chain left out by the spa and kept it safe until they returned it to her in the a,m, super nice people and cool property. I'm definitely coming back!!
- 1/5
Nasty dank room that shouldn't be rented out. The electrical outlets were hokey, the hot & cold water were reversed in the shower. Your feet turned black from walking on the carpet. No visibility out the windows as you were ground level. The ceiling was very low in our room. Housekeeping left the door wide open while cleaning, so the room was full of mosquitos. Japanese futon and the bed were so uncomfortable- you sunk right into a pit in the bed. Kitchen chairs weren't comfortable either with the rattan/wicker seats. Pool was actually a 10 person HOT TUB, complete with hot water and jets. We were counting on there being an actual pool since our vaca was interrupted by red tide and we couldn't swim in the Gulf. There was one grill for all of the units to share. The staff was absolutely wonderful. We checked out 3 days early and lost money because it was so bad.
- 5/5
Everithing Perfect.
- 5/5
Great Staff and Very Clean Place
- 4/5
The pool was small. The bed was comfortable , but too close to the door. It was noisy at times with people going in and out of their rooms.
- 5/5
..

Bikes and beach equipment were made available to those staying in addition to a wonderful outdoor lounge/dining area. The location can’t be beat if you want constant beach access and the provided parking pass was good for the length of the road, not just the hotel parking. Additionally, the room featured a full kitchen with a standard fridge, toaster oven, stove top, and provided dishes making it perfect for longer stays (and saving on food expenses). Probably my favorite hotel I’ve ever been too and I’ll definitely book again if I’m ever in the area.
- 5/5
We loved that we were right across the street from the beach. Our room was super clean and all the staff were so nice and helpful.
- 4/5
Property is quaint and convenient location.
- 4/5
The room that I got was small with very low (and I mean low) ceiling. Not much on windows and zero view. I was unaware of the specifics of this room on your site. I liked the location, hot tub, furnished bicycles & service. I would spend the extra money for a better room next time.
- 5/5
Quaint small hotel beach front. Friendly and informative staff!
- 5/5
Perfect area. Yes i will go back.
- 5/5
Every thing we needed was with in walking distance. Did not have to drive.
- 4/5
The location is ideal. Right across from the beach. Perfectly situated to explore Pass-a Grille. The facility is well maintained and entirely adequate and enjoyable for low key, relaxation. Great value, very comfortable stay.
- 5/5
Clean room with all amenities. Right across from the beach and onsite parking. Great location to downtown pass a grille.
- 5/5
Such a fun, cute place to stay on the beach. Loved the availability of the bikes to use! Will definitely return!
- 5/5
Property is clean and comfy and directly across from the beach and within walking distance to everything at Pass a Grille Beach. Bikes were available for use for free. Heated pool. Parking was a bit tight in the alley but a parking pass is available to park on the road or even at the beach. It's a contained, somewhat small place, so the little outdoor area you can hear people talking while in your room, but a small price to pay (In all fairness the woman was on speaker phone for several hours below my room)I turned on the air and drowned her out! The mattress could use some updating but the room was clean and had what I needed. A full-length mirror would be a nice touch on the back of the door maybe. The staff was friendly! Met a woman who has been staying there since 2005 ! She had one of the lower units where a review said the ceiling was low but she didn't mind it. Mine was upper, room 5 and even though overlooked the pool, was quiet! Can't beat the location! Seriously...amazing. Getting my luggage up the stairs was a bit of a challenge but I loved my room! It had a bed and kitchen/living/dining area with a futon. It was only me this time, but would be fine for 2, 3 tops. I will stay there again! If you're looking for 5 star hotel, this is not your place. It's a small beach place but has been well cared for and felt safe and comfortable!
- 5/5
Such a great stay. Very clean, very nice staff. We will definitely come back!
- 4/5
It was really close to beach. Ocean view. Very relaxed setting.
- 5/5
Place was very clean with nice sized rooms. Idk about the top floor, but the bottom level is pretty low. So I’d recommend calling to check for available rooms before booking to make sure you’re not hitting your head on the ceilings lol. The hotel is cozy feeling and is directly across the street from Pass-a-Grille beach, and a couple blocks away from food and entertainment. I’d surely stay again!
- 5/5
Staff friendly, room clean and comfortable, overall stay excellent!
- 5/5
Within walking distance of everything. Really enjoyed our stay at Sabal Palms.
- 5/5
Been going to Pass a Grille 50 yrs it’s a beautiful 1 block wide beach. Bars:restaurants all within walking distance just a safe relaxed place. Room was large and clean and staff was great. I will be back.
- 2/5
I booked this hotel for 2 days to have while I got ready for my beach wedding. I felt claustrophobic. The room doesn’t match the photos. It’s so much smaller and they gave us a room with really low ceilings. My head was 2 inches from the ceiling. The room they gave us was was under the main hotel (like a basement) I’m guessing that’s why the ceilings were that low but they should’ve definitely explained that in the description.
- 5/5
Completely re-done. Great Stay.
- 5/5
Our 4th stay at Sabal Palms never disappoints us - now having sampled 4 of the 11 rooms. Nothing amiss at this friendly, comfortable, cost effective boutique small accommodation.
- 4/5
The location was ideal for a quiet relaxing getaway. Very close to the beach and a few blocks away from Paradise Grille. The Inn was clean the staff was friendly. They also provided beach chairs and bikes for your convenience.
- 5/5
Wonderful quiet family vacation spot. The room was perfect for our family of 5. Great price, great location, great amenities, very friendly staff. Absolutely wonderful place. We will be back again. The room has silverware, pots and pans, coffee pot, microwave, full fridge... everything you need for a family vacation. Picnic tables right outside the room was very helpful for the kids to hangout. Wonderful stay!
- 1/5
So to start i will say pass a grille beach is beautiful and the hotel location is great. There is not much to do so if you are looking for a calm vacay its perfect. Now these rooms are clean BUT we were in #6 and the water in shower is not even warm and when it was brought to the attention they came to the room and argued that it was warm no after getting caught in the rain a HOT shower was needed. The bathroom was infested with ants oh but it was so convenient to have a can of RAID right outside the door. We were down stairs and we could hear the folks upstairs walking all night due to poor construction. The ceiling height is only about 6 foot so if you are tall this wont work for you. Air conditioning filter filthy looks like it hasnt been cleaned in 6 months. And im still trying to figure out why there was tissue stuffed in the corner of the ceiling. My family and I live not too far in Tampa so we frequent the gulf beaches usually twice a month but for the rediculous about of 175 a night this was equal to a room i usually pay 110 for.....NEVER WILL I STAY HERE AGAIN OR RECOMMEND
- 5/5
Great place to stay with kids. We live locally and decided to have a staycation. The staff was so nice and the property was very clean and recently renovated. We had a blast!
- 5/5
OMG!! What a Great experience and great hotel!! Location is on the beach and next to Pass A Grille’s best bars, restaurants and shops. Staff was amazing and the hotel had all the beach amenities you needed plus free parking.
- 5/5
Absolutely amazing!!!!
- 5/5
Staff were very friendly and helpful! We’d definitely stay again.
- 5/5
The staff was fantastic. Welcoming, helpful, I could not be more pleased with their kindness. The room in the first floor is not very insulated from 2nd floor noise, but hearing steps above was not enough to keep me awake. Location is perfect.
