I did not partake in the breakfast. My room had a view of a construction site dumping area... Very interesting room arrangement ... No closet, but hooks on the wall for hanging clothes.

Comfortable. I asked the staff the bed liens and mattress fitted to be clean - due: my skin is sensitive to itchy. They willed to change everything. Big Bless. I got a good sleep. Well, the bathroom floor needs to be cleaned good...dust and mop each day. That's all

Good fresh breakfast, nice lobby. Bathroom was a bit beat up, looked like some used materials. Doors SLAM way too loud closing, wakes up everyone on your floor and below!! Get soft close, and pad the door frames.

The room was clean and comfortable. Had to move rooms due to mini fridge not working, then next room it also wasn't working. Staff called their support system and finally got it working. Then later that night the t.v. and fridge went out again for about an hour.

It is newer and better breakfast that others. The night manager was rude as eff. No greeting, ran my card and didn’t ask if that was how, didn’t tell me breakfast times and when I asked after going up to my room and getting something out of my car…quote “I told you that already”.

It's not the most luxurious hotel, but for the price you pay it's easily 5 stars. Friendly staff, small but very comfy room, clean, good temperature. Perfect place to lay your head, get a good night's sleep, eat the complementary breakfast, and hot the road.

The staff were kind and friendly and the property was clean and nice .

We arrived at the hotel only to be approached while unpacking the car by a man asking for money. We noticed he went into the hotel. The person checking us in said he was another guest and they were aware of the issue. We asked for a full refund and found another hotel. The management should have escorted this guest off the property. Safety didn't seem to be a concern for them. Don't stay here.

Finally!! A hotel that is pet-friendly and pet parent-friendly, too! Our room was clean, minimalist, and had a vinyl floor instead of carpeting. This makes the room seem (and smell) so much cleaner. We also appreciated the microwave and mini-frig. We will definitely look to book more Avid stays if this hotel is indicative of the entire chain!

The key didn't work, the room wasn't very clean greasy fingerprints all over mirror, lights behind the bed ,only 1 light worked which tampered me from working no door locks

Check in went smoothly. Room was clean. Only issue was the the door on the shower unit was loose we attempted to tighten however we were unable to. the next morning the handle came loose we notified front desk staff who would pass the message on to maintenance. as it was Sunday maintenance was not in house, clerk did not convey this and when I returned that evening handle remained broken. Upon check out the following day they took off one of my pet fee charges to compensate me for the inconvenience of the shower.

The breakfast was good and fitness center wonderful. I must say that upon arriving there was a live cricket in the lobby as well as numerous dead bugs by the perimeter of the sitting area and several on the carpet, and the lobby bathroom was rather dirty and unusable. However, the one gentleman that was working the Wednesday before Thanksgiving was amazing and the lobby was clean and breakfast and coffee stocked that day.

This was my first time to stay at Avid and i loved everything--simple, not overly luxurious. Great breakfast and service. Cleanliness was very good.

I felt our room was not very clean, especially for the peak rate we paid! I really feel a discount should be issued and am requesting it. I attempted to discuss this at check out but could not find anyone to talk to about this. There was a damaged wall in the room, TV channels could not be accessed and the walls were paper this, we could hear our neighbors.

The hotel was new, therefore clean and generally in good condition. The price for Staunton,VA was reasonable. We had a king size bed. The room was small. Mainly narrow. Two people could walk by one another. Using the luggage cart in the room was very tight trying to load it. For us the bed was too soft. The microwave didn’t work. The shower leaked into the bathroom. The AC was a wall unit vs central. Therefore, when it ran it made the typical thumping noise. We would not recommend.

The accommodations featured comfortable bedding and pillows, and the breakfast offerings, including scrambled eggs and bacon crumbles, were satisfactory. However, the potatoes were undercooked. A significant drawback was the malfunctioning bathroom fan, which operated continuously throughout the night, generating disruptive noise. This issue resulted in a disturbance to my sleep, causing me to awaken at 4:00 AM.

I was provided a quote of $176.97 when I booked but am being charged an extra $25 and no explanation why. We were in the room long enough to sleep and shower. That was it.

Great quality hotel with all the basic amenities that you could need. Breakfast was great and convenient. My only complaint, if any was that coffee was ehh. Drinkable, but not great. However Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks less than 5 min down road so honestly no big deal. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Good bang for the buck. Ascetic, Euro-modern facility. Squeaky clean. Decent amount of space. Great beds. Cast-able TV. Uncluttered room. More than adequate, warm breakfast. Already a good deal. Then there's a pool & gym, too. Would definitely recommend.

Pictures make this hotel look nicer than it is in actuality. Customer service was great, but it was clear the facilities were not as new and clean as they look on the website. Tiles were broken of the wall, the room numbers were just kinda stuck on the wall with what seemed like command strips. Our first room had hair in the sheets, hair on the towels, and a hair behind the faucet. Toilet would not flush. It was clear the room wasn't actually "clean." Our second room was much better. Beds were pretty beat, but for one night it was pretty average.

The location of the hotel was great, a short walk to restaurants.

Overall a nice one night stay, comfortable beds, clean bathroom and room, good Tv, decent breakfast. The only complaint is that the AC did not work in our room. We didn’t realize it until it was too late to move rooms in the middle of the night because kids were sleeping. Reported to desk this morning and was offered an “I’m sorryfor that”. We will liekly try this brand again, first time at an Avid and the price was good.

This property is in terrible condition- multiple damaged items in the room including broken lights, wires hanging from tv, tiles cracked off shower walls. In addition, the room is not clean, floors are filthy, stains on bedding, hair in bathroom. Would be packing my things to leave if it were more than just a 1 night stopover.

Very cute hotel. Lobby is terrific, colorful, comfy—lots of seating and snacks. Great free breakfast with so many options. Super comfy beds and lovely bathrooms with DOVE PRODUCTS !!! Pool is ridiculously small though. And rooms are not well ventilated; I hung up my towel at 7:20pm and it was still wet at 6:30 am.

Bed had a huge lump, like a hole in the mattress. Faucet and lotion holder falling off. Poor shower pressure. No carpet in the rooms. TV was broke, could only turn on and off. Lots of maintenance needs done. Like market in the hotel lobby.

Hotel was decent. The only downfall is only two restaurants nearby and they close early.

It’s a brand new property and it looks it. That is everything was neat and clean. The staff was wonderful both the night clerk and the head of housekeeping helped with the luggage. I have a walking problem so that was a great help.

If you like breakfast then this might not be the best choice. I was hoping for either pancakes or waffles like most hotels have but they didn’t have either. I wish hotels could list their breakfast menu online so you’d know ahead of time. For most people that might not matter, but when you have an Autistic child who only eats specific things, then it matters. Live and learn I guess. Overall the hotel was very nice though.

Both elevators out of service over a holiday weekend. Maybe they couldnt get anyone to fix it till Tuesday after. Who knows. But its a hotel...staff was cery friendly though. Offered no assistance. Did bot inform hotel though. We just gave up and walked down from second floor. Mind you I'm handicapped with a cane. Offered no discount either. Pretty sad state of affairs all together.

The bed was very comfortable - though it smelled a bit like perfume. I would prefer fragrance-free laundry detergent. The design of the room, though small, was very well designed. It would have been nice if there was an arm chair instead of a bench seat. Pet-friendly was key!

Housekeeping could have been better. After the 1st day, they didn't sweep, vacuum or leave enough towels.

Went for a visit with family. Avid hotel fit the bill for us. Nice rooms, great breakfast with fresh-ground coffee and water to fill water bottles. Nice touch. Rooms could have been cleaner, particularly the floors. I will stay here again so it wasn’t terrible. Beds are comfy and room was quiet.

It’s close to the exit of I-81, but quiet and comfortable. TT at the front desk was friendly and welcoming. I’d definitely stay here again while traveling I-81.

Seemed like he really cared

I've driven by Staunton dozens of times and decided to explore a little bit. The hotel was about 3 miles from the center of down. It was easy to get a Lyft. If you're just driving through, it's easy access to and from 81.

Every night I stayed I was charged an additional cost to my room . When I went down to the front desk to question it they didn’t have an explanation for it. At the end of my stay the manager said I would be refunded for all the unexplained charges (not including my the incidental fee ) It has been over 3 weeks since my stay and I still haven’t been refunded. Reached out and the manager is never available.
