Management was very helpful to some questions I had.

Spotless, comfortable room with big window view. Minutes from downtown Staunton. Excellent breakfast. Will definitely be back!

Bed was comfortable. -The air conditioner running all night, blowing air at head of bed. I got sick with a cold after stay. -Room appearance need to be updated. Face-lift...dark appearance was not appealing. - Outside window was a dumpster. -bathroom very small, needs update. -We were late arriving, very tired, we made do. Checked out early morning. Not interested in hanging around.

Mountain View, easy access to highway. Coffee was decent. Felt very lived in. Carpet was not very clean, desk chair in our room was broken, hair dryer didn’t work. Breakfast was inedible.

Didn't expect the bed linens to be changed every day (we were there just 3 nights) but not quite sure why housekeeping would come in every day and check towels, empty trash and not even make the bed but it was ok! Only complaint is the tv service. We were not in the room a lot but it sure would've been nice to enjoy it at night without the CONSTANT buffering and outage of the service. So anyhow... all in all a great stay, great rates and we will definitely consider it for any other trips in the future!

The view was superb. Mountains as far as the eyes could see. Breakfast didn’t have a lot of healthy options.

We stayed for 4 nights. Everything was clean. The staff was helpful, pleasant and efficient. Having access to a clean, refreshing pool area and pool made our stay exceptional. We would definitely stay there again.

Breakfast was great! Had a good variety of food. Staff didn’t go out of their way to make us feel welcomed but were polite at check in and check out. Room could use some updates; lampshade was torn and curtains were old but useable. Could use fresh paint in bright colors room was kind of drab. Also bathroom fan was very loud

Disgusting property, not as advertised online. Room was complete dump. Food left in fridge from previous people, water pouring out of fridge all over carpet. Paint was peeling off the walls to say the least.

The room was clean, spacious and quiet. We enjoyed our stay and will be back when we visit Staunton.

The bed was very comfortable, and I felt fine there. However, I would probably stay at a different place next time. Just because of my overall preferences.

We had had car trouble on the way to Staunton, (making us very late) and the young man at the desk was very helpful and even upgraded our room for the night. Very comfortable. Good selection for breakfast.

Haven’t stayed in a clarion in quite a few years. We stayed in a king room we were pleasantly surprised at what a nice room it was. It quite big and roomy. We only stayed overnight but would definitely stay again l. Knocked a star off as breakfast was kind of skimpy no yogurt and no pastries except for a poppy seed muffins which most places we’ve stayed has had on their breakfast buffet. Staff were really nice.

The breakfast was mediocre. One of our rooms was fairly clean. One had hair in the bathroom and smelled moldy. The first floor hallway smelled moldy. The pool was closed. Our rooms received new towels but were not cleaned nor beds made during our three night stay.

Hotel is very outdated. Breakfast was nasty and unhealthy.

The property has been updated. There are a few reminders that the property isn't new, but everything is very clean and convenient. Our room was very large. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend the Clarion.

After a long day on the road, this Clarion Pointe hotel was just what i needed: a nice quiet room, a VERY comfortable bed, and a good breakfast in the morning. Check-in was a breeze, I was in my room in minutes. The room was not spacious, but clean and roomy enough, with a deep chair to sink into and a good, cold minifridge in which I could store my road goodies for the next day. And the bed let me enjoy a great night's sleep. The bathroom was not big either, but namesake and the fields were plump and soft. There were numerous food options nearby, but a short (2.5 miles) drive to downtown Staunton led to many more. And breakfast in the morning was superb. I'm all about a fresh waffle, but there were many other hot options as well: scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits ( and gravy), cereals, yogurt, fruit, bagels, danish. the staff I noted were very attentive, keeping the room clean and stocked. And one final, nice touch: shortly after check in, there was a platter of fresh-baked cookies in the lobby. Very friendly place, I'll be back.

This hotel was massively over rated .To start the landscaping has not seen care in months , next almost every painted surface inside the hotel is soiled , the carpets were filthy and covered with litter . Upon arrival I mention this to the desk clerk he said he would have the carpets in the hallway vacuumed ( it never happened during my 4 day stay . The lobby furnishing were worn and out dated and the breakfast was very low quality . The hotel was operated by a certain ethnic group that seems to pinch pennies at every turn . The only positive feature at the property was that it was price slightly lower than the other surrounding hotels . They have a sign posted showing a 8.2 rating in the lobby ,I would give the property a 3 out of 10

Everything was great and a professional staff

At the end of a 12-hiur drive, the Clarion Pointe gave just what I needed - a quick and easy check-in, a comfortable room with a spacious and equally comfortable bed for a good night's sleep and an excellent breakfast in the morning. The room included the small things that made it easy to spend the night, e.g., a minifridge that was already good and cold, so I could store the items in my cooler overnight, a chair that I could comfortably sink into, and a wide variety of options available on the TV. In the breakfast area, I noticed the staff were very attentive and kept the room clean and eerything well stocked. And there was plenty to choose from - waffles, scrambled eggs (real, not powdered), sausage, cereal, yogurt, bagels, danish and toast, fresh fruit. And as a very nice, freshly baked cookies on a tray in the front lobby greeting meas I left for dinner and when I returned. I will stay here again.

The service was great. Breakfast very good with decent selection of foods. The seating area is a little small but was not a problem. Cookies and coffee available when we checked in late. I have stayed here several times and my experience has always been excellent. The property/room is showing a little wear but it was very clean.

Clean and comfortable, even if a bit dated. Could use new carpets, some new paint, and some updating in the bathroom. The staff is very friendly and helpful - when we mentioned that our climate control system was malfunctioning we were given a new better room. Overall - a positive experience.

Breakfast was good. Staff was nice. Hotel is in a nice location, quiet. The only negative was our duvet cover had a huge wine (?) stain on it and it was on the underside so we didn't see it till we got out of bed in the morning.

Nice place. Stay was uneventful. Room was clean. Staff was nice. Definitely worth the cost, but not quite as nice as expected. Still we would stay here again overnight.

Our room was spacious and clean. The beds were very soft and past peak. Front desk said that they were in process of replacing the beds, which is needed. Breakfast was ok.

White and wheat bread slices, bagels, danish and English muffins. 3 types of cereal, raison bran, cherios and colorerd cherios, skim and 2 % milk, banana and apples. peanut butter and jelly and butter packs. 24 hour coffee machine, sugar and other alternatives, hot cocoa packs, hazel nut and French van creamer, half and half.

I was impressed with the modern look to the property. It was very clean and checking in was so easy. The room was well appointed and the bed very comfortable. I enjoyed the wide range of entertainment available through their DirectTV subscription. Very easy to get to, and ample parking is available. Highly recommend.

It is a non descript hotel. There was nothing that stands out about this hotel except the fact that the maid came into our room early in the morning when we were going to check out. It woke us up.

Room was clean, bedding and towels were clean. Our bathroom had no towel rod for a hand towel, and almost no counter space around the sink. The hot breakfast had plenty to choose from. The coffee was weak, but the machine may have needed more coffee for the mix. The breakfast area was clean and inviting. They have a beautiful view, it's too bad they don't have some benches or other seating for guest to gather and enjoy it. It close to everything. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

We had dirty towels in the room and the desk chair was broke. They did offer a new room, however we had taken our own cleaning supplies and advised we would keep the room.

The staff was great. Helpful and very pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable. The only thing I question is the very dirty and worn paint on the outside of the elevator on the first floor and the floor was dirty. This did not impact my stay. I just feel it is a poor representation for what was otherwise a clean and comfortable stay.

Clean room, nice check-in and a good nights sleep. Haven’t tried the breakfast yet, but looking forward to it.

The hotel has seen better days. It smelled awful in the hallways and public areas were dirty. The side entrance door that was required to be locked at all times for security (and to meet fire code) was unlocked and opened at 11pm and couldn't be closed. The room was clean but very basic with a bathroom on par with a cheap motel. We would not recommend this hotel and would never stay there again.

The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was typical hotel food. Easy access to where we wanted to go. The historic district downtown is a little tricky, but worth going to. Try the Shenandoa pizza it's excellent!

The room was mostly clean, there were visible signs it was not thoroughly cleaned. The bed was comfortable. The Heating/AC unit sounded like it was raining outside when it came on. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. The hot tub was a disaster, when we turned on the jets, water shot into my wifes face, onto the walls and onto the floor. We tried adjusting the settings and had the same results. We enjoyed the tub without using the jets.

I really enjoyed staying here. The view was amazing and completely outstanding! No road noise which is a big bonus!

The property was ok. Room was fine. Staff was not friendly. Breakfast was messy (waffle batter), not enough space for people to pick up breakfast or space to eat it.

Room was ok, sliding doors noisy. Breakfast was standard, not impressed. Staff was well trained to follow script. No personalized interactions, just stay on script to treat everyone the same. Sad.

We stopped in the the middle of a long trip, late, on a rainy night - so tired. Reception staff was so nice which is much appreciated when you are tired. Room was clean and comfortable and quiet. We left early but stopped for breakfast that they provide, because there was such a good selection of food - with three different types of fresh fruit and a variety of breakfast foods - included in the price of our room. We usually stay in town but I was so pleasantly surprised by everything, especially the ease and speed of check-in, that we will be back. Also - lovely view!

Super convenient location, clean, and affordable. Right off the main road up a hill with great views of Staunton - nice and quiet too. Close to eateries and gas station right at the bottom of that hill. Breakfast included (6-9am) with many offerings including eggs, sausage, waffles, various breads, fruit, yogurt, and drinks.

Stayed overnight on two separate occasions, one night on my way down to NC from MA and another night on my way back up to MA. Excellent stay both times. Great location right off RT81 and the main road. Up on a hill with great sunset and sunrise views from the entrance. Right around the corner from multiple eateries and a gas station. Variety of breakfast selections included with booking, which runs from 6am-9am. Room was spotless, with everything present, working, and well upkept.

Staff was friendly and helpful. I was given a small room near the elevator and it was fairly noisy as other guests were coming in for their stay, but once everything settled down, I slept very well in a very comfy bed! Looking forward to staying here again in my return trip home in 4 days.

Initially put into a room that they knew had issues with plumbing and sewer. After being waken up the first night with a foul stench of sewer gas, talked to front desk next morning about it and they were more than accommodating to put us in another room for the next 2 nights. This is when it was stated by the hotel staff that this particular room has issues. How can you have a room available if you know it has issues? Get the issues fixed before gambling if the issue might arise during someone’s stay.

This was after being out all day. And you wanna just come back to a clean hotel room? It's disappointing.

Staff were helpful and courteous. I told the manager how appreciative I was that there was no news on the tv in the dining area, which made the time more restful. Everyone was very professional. Housekeeping was thorough, very well done.

It was just so-so. It's fine for a night's stay if you need to break up your drive. But I would look elsewhere first because there are definitely better hotels in the area for just a nominal amount more.

Staunton had a water problem and the hotel provided bottled water to all staying at this hotel. Wish they would have provided hot water dispenser for hot tea. They did provide coffee urns. Thought they handled this unexpected situation well.

Last minute stay. Small rooms but the shower and beds were very nice. If the ac is not below 68 degrees the room does smell weird, perhaps the carpets haven't been cleaned in a few years. Overall for a last minute stay its fine. Free cookies in the lobby and for breakfast they had waffles,eggs,sausage,bread and yogurts.

We enjoyed the space of the room, however, the bathroom was small. There are no towel racks and no shelves to put your items on. The bathtub was slippery and needs some safety things to hang onto,

Needs a few upgrades especially the elevator. But very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good (except the coffee). Would stay there again.

Staff was pleasant, property was not in good condition, broken lamp, broken drawers. Smelled of mildew/musty in the room. The pool was small. It was a place to lay our head down for the night, but not really stay long.

This was a fine hotel for my wife and I to stay while traveling. It is a convenient location with very good access to many dining options.

For a one night stay on our way to Gatlinburg. This hotel more than met our needs.

When we drove up to the property, I was not impressed. The outside needed some basic maintenance. Weeds were overgrowing the landscape rocks and some general attention. But once inside, the property is very nice and well maintained. Our room was quite comfy and clean although the bathroom is a bit small. The breakfast was fantastic with a wide selection of choices. Overall, this property was for our one night stay needs.

Other than the pool, it was very enjoyable there. Breakfast was very good even though it was a very small area and finding a table to eat at was difficult if you were not there when they opened. Food area was very well kept as far as cleanliness and replenishing of food throughout the meal hours. We will come back again!

I didn’t like the fact that it needed many upgrades. The lobby area was not welcoming. The floor in the elevator was extremely dirty. The room needed to be upgraded. It, too, was not at all welcoming. The sink in the bathroom was cracked. There was no hair dryer. The TV didn’t work properly. I had to contact the front desk to ask how it worked. The staff was very friendly.

Clean hotel. Ok continental breakfast, except coffee was weak/cheap tasting. The exit door on the side of the bldg was broken and would not close.

Needs update

The rooms are quite small, but the bed, bedding, and pillows were great. We stayed at fancier hotels during our trip but we slept best here. Clean and comfortable.

Room was not stocked with tissues and toilet paper and shower drain was clogged with hair I had to remove myself.

The hotel was in a great location with many attractions and any type of food you would like close by. The staff was very friendly and helpful in any way that was needed. The receptionist at check in took care of our needs without hesitation, so appreciated. The room was clean, spacious, and comfy, not to mention great value for your $dollar. The breakfast was good with alot of choices. We totally enjoyed our stay.

Easy and fast check in.

Hotel is in need of an upgrade. Coffee maker in my room did not work. I got nothing but hot water. Breakfast was below average. Fire alarm went off in early morning hours and was caused by faulty alarm system.

It was a reasonably priced hotel. Quiet. Clean. Big room. Mountain view. I would stay here again. And we went to a fabulous Thai restaurant that was less than 3 miles away and so so good!! I would stay here again AND go to the Thai restaurant again. I’m kicking myself bc i could have ordered wonton soup to go and didn’t. ❤️❤️❤️

The Clarion Point Staunton is a good place to stay for me because it's close to my family. The only complaint is the bathroom needs better lighting.

I liked that it was a smaller Hotel but the breakfast area needs to be bigger the Ice was only on the ground floor and the pool was not ready for use other than that the Room was clean and the facility was clean and easy accessible

This hotel was surprisingly nice. Our room was on the upper floor with a nice view of the mountainous area it’s located in. The room was very spacious, laid out well & comfortable. We slept well. Staff was nice.

It was a very nice place with a gorgeous view. Front desk was very nice and friendly. The pool was down for maintenance so that was a bummer.

All aspects of this property were adequate. The room was very spacious, the bed very comfortable, the staff were efficient, if not personable. Renovations were being done on our floorand at the outdoor pool.

We not impressed with the acceptable room we had, it was small and unable to move a wheelchair around, the room had poor lighting in the room and bathroom and the walk in shower was nice but allowed the floor to get wet and the time became a sheet of ice. We had to put towels down not to fall. No counter space in bathroom and the night light in tge bathroom blinked all night.

Disappointed the pool was it up and running but considering it had a leak and they are redoing it to reopen it. I’m very happy about the room was great. We’ll definitely stay there again.

Convenient stop off highway. Friendly front desk. Nice seating areas in lobby. Breakfast area well managed, although eggs salty and coffee grainy. Typical older hotel items such as “wet” smell in room and somewhat lumpy mattresses.

Refrigerator hardly work! Started cutting grass by window of room at 7:58 on Sunday morning?!?! Very little lighting in bathroom. Good location and pretty clean rooms.

The location was close to major roads. The desk clerk was very helpful. The room was clean, neat, and spacious. I was not expecting a loveseat and window seat. 🙂 The complimentary breakfast was okay, rather standard fare. The only complaint I had was that the eggs were rather salty, not good if you have high blood pressure. However there were plenty of other things to choose from.

The gentleman working was very nice and quick to check us in. I forgot my water bottle at the front desk and he was very nice to bring it to me at our room. Easy to find.

Friendly clean quiet

What a Gem of a find. Needed a place for 1 night on our way from TN to NJ. Super clean property, friendly staff, delicious breakfast. Beds were great and comfortable. Not one negative thing to say. I will stay here again in the future for our halfway break nights. Amazing

The only thing I didn't like is the side door would not latch. My room was right by that door and you didn't need a key card to get in since it wouldn't close all the way to latch. I know there are cameras on the property but the cameras didn't make me feel safer. Please get the door fixed. Thank you

Comfortable and convenient for Shenandoah NP. Breakfast was well stocked and there are local and national beers at the front desk from 4-10pm at a great price. Very friendly folks.

The bathroom was horrible, they gave me a room that I reserved with a jacuzzi and the front desk guy was so arrogant that he couldn't let me live up to what the website said and I was like, "No, so I'm buying something blindly." They didn't even change me to the room that I supposedly asked for, which had a jacuzzi. The truth is, they lost me as a client for the first and last time, along with everyone else who came to stay at the hotel. In short, they lost money because they didn't change our dirty room, let alone give us one with a jacuzzi, and we had to leave the hotel for another one. They don't earn another penny of mine.

we paid for a king room with a double jetted tub through hotels .com. the room with the tub even though we reserved a month in advance was not available. the hotel blamed hotels .com stating that it happens often with third party reservations
