The staff was great. The bathroom was clean, but I wasn’t too sure about the bed. It didn’t seem to be clean, and it smelled weird. Whatever they are using to wash the sheets, they might need to switch to something else.

We stayed in hotels that told us our halfway next destination; It was nice to be able to relax before we went. I enjoyed walking to get there. And there were restaurants close enough and available. thank you very much. The room was very small. My Wife and I had a hard time moving around. The tv was hard to use or understand.

Rooms are very small. Pet fee is ridiculous ($75) and higher than any ohter hotel I've ever stayed in with my dog. Otherwise it was fine.

The staff is nice and thoughtful...amazing people. The room was clean, quite very trendy.

The bed was uncomfortable, very hard springs, and the pillows were as flat as pancakes. I was not impressed by the breakfast at all, it looks a lot better online and in pictures than it really is. But the kicker was having to change rooms at 5am because our heat/AC unit was burning electrical wires and creating fumes in our room that were so strong and horrible that I started getting sick and a headache and couldn’t breathe. It was extremely unsafe. It’ll take them a month to get that smell out of that room it was so bad. So I’d avoid room 120. I got zero sleep and it was the day of my dad’s funeral so that didn’t help any. The rooms are large but they need an armchair or something and the bathrooms were also large and I appreciated the handheld in the shower although there was no water pressure. Not at all what I expect from a Hilton.

Professional attendant allowed and assisted us to celebrate our family Christmas in the lobby. He also supported us to take a swim in the ‘Sister Property’ which my nephew and niece thoroughly enjoyed. We stayed here last year and we’ll book it again for next Christmas.

Although the room was small, it was well laid out and provided ample hangers, flat surfaces, and light. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was best feature. Small but bright, clean, and the shower was spacious. Very nice stay

We enjoyed doing everything on the Hilton app. Check in, room key, TV controls, check out. It was all right there. The room was perfect in all aspects.

Mattress was outstandingly terrible, pillows were really bad also and the sheets we dirty and awful.

Room was clean yet lacking amenities. No microwave or mini fridge. At the cost of the room one would expect much more convenience options. Air conditioning system was hard to control. Breakfast was very limited in selection. Again, for the cost of the room one would expect much better choices.

My wife and I stayed in room 320, and the room was extremely bare. There was no furniture except for one chair—no microwave to warm baby formula, no lamps, no desk, and no accent chairs. The only place to sit was on the bed. There weren’t even any paintings or pictures on the walls. The room felt so empty that it echoed, almost like being in a cave.

We parked in front and were very happy to park there. The room was just the right temperature.

This TRU location put the emphasis on "pet-FRIENDLY" by gifting us a treat bag. A welcome gesture while transporting two cats from Texas to the Northeast! The rooms were quiet and clean. The front desk staff made sure we had adjoining rooms (thanks, Leah!). It's wonderful to have a quality option when traveling with furry friends! We will ALWAYS go with TRU when available.

This was our second stay in a Tru by Hilton Hotel. Like the first, this one is clean with a modern decor and feel.i especially appreciated the hard floor in the room instead of stained sticky carpet. Room was spacious and bathroom was up to date with a very nice shower. Bed was good and had plenty of pillows. Breakfast was fairly typical, but completely adequate. No complaints, so we'll add Tru to our list of trusted hotel brands.

Liked that we could bring in our own food and there was an area near the lobby to sit and enjoy it. As well, there were board games for us to use and the outdoor seating area is nice!

The first thing I noticed was everything you see when you arrive is geared towards making you feel welcome. This continued with checking in. Fast, friendly and helpful. The whole experience continued through the whole stay. We got several texts asking how we were enjoying our time and asking if we needed anything just ask. Small details that stand apart from others. Thank you for the great stay. We'll be back.

While the hotel was clean and beds and room comfortable the Operations Manager needs lessons on how you treat customers. Her screaming and know it all attitude about an incident at hotel was totally unprofessional. I answered her with anything due to her irrational behavior. I am trying to decide if a letter will be sent to corporate to let them know they have someone like her. Her behavior definitely impacted the stay.

We were very impressed by our stay at the Tru by Hilton in Staunton, Virginia. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The lobby/breakfast area was spacious and inviting with toys and games for children and young adults. Add to this the fact that coffee was offered 24 hours a day! My wife and I went online to find where other Tru by Hilton Motels are located to keep them in mind for future trips.

Water pressure in shower was poor. Room was small - surprised there was no upholstered chair. A little noisy from upstairs. However- good breakfast, lobby and facilities are happy and bright. Staff were all friendly and professional. Most importantly it was very clean.

Great Stay! We were only here for one night but the room was just perfect. Very clean! Staff was very accommodating and friendly at check in and out. We have stayed in many hotels in our travels and this is definitely a repeat we will do! Absolutely can’t say enough good things about TRU!!!

Staff was extremely pleasant. We were traveling with two dogs who were accommodated with no issues. Room was clean, and reasonably sized. No issues with noise. We were only here for a brief resting place during a longer journey, but it was very pleasant overall.

The property was nice but the elevator was broke we had to walk the steps and the front desk clerk wouldn't give my daughter a extra blanket

I didn't like the minimalist condition of the room. My husband and myself are both disabled and the only drawers for clothing were under the bed. Neither of us could bend down for them. The closet was about 12" wide and 5' above the rack was wasted space where shelving could have been put. There was also no microwave in the room. Also the soap, hair products and lotion were in bottles that you had to squeeze the sides. I have very bad arthritis in my hands and could not squeeze them to get the products. We were on a Handicap/Accessible room.

Stayed here two nights and had no issues. Plenty of convenient parking, staff was nice and helpful, room was clean and A/C worked great. Location is convenient to the interstate and just a few minutes from downtown. I will definitely stay here next time I'm in the area, and would recommend to others.

Cons: Desk clerk on check in was not smiling, or friendly. Not a good first impression. Bed was covered in dog hairs. Corners of room had dirt? crumbs? and headboard was dusty and dirty (I saw someone’s eyelash .. bleh) Walls are paper thin. Low flow shower.. zero water pressure. Lemon shower gel was really bad.. like using furniture polish. I do not recommend this hotel.. not sure why it won a 2024 Travel award.. it was average at best and that is being generous😕 I wouldn’t recommend and I definitely won’t go there again. Beware if you have pet allergies.. avoid!

It was the best shower that I have had in a hotel. The water pressure was great!

Even though we needed to leave before breakfast started, the staff allowed us to have toast, cereal coffee, tea and juice and went out if her way to get the milk for us.

By far the worst and loudest hotel I have had the displeasure of staying in. Since my room was by the 1st floor back door. The best is when I spoke to the front desk about the noise and dirty room. She said “ that is why we provide complementary ear plugs “ I want to my niece graduation with no sleep . Please beware !

I didn’t like the bed. The bed was honestly pretty uncomfortable. It felt very hard and springy. It needed a plushy topper or something to make it more comfy. I had a hard time sleeping on time.

The hotel is fresh and new. The staff was friendly. I had some major issues with the bed and the pillows and the temperature controls (one night it was chilly and the next it was really warm). I appreciated the free coffee and the easy access to ice.

This is a pretty new location and it is all very clean . Breakfast was nice with a lady making sure it was all clean. The coffee is great- Lavazza so good flavor. The amenities were also good.. will return on our visit south again. Always looking for something like this.
