Liked the location, which was close to restaurants and clubs. The staff was very nice and helpful. I liked the complimentary coffee in the lobby every morning. You don't find that too much any more. The room was large, beautiful, and comfortable. There was a problem with the elevator during our stay, however, and 2 of 3 elevators did not work for the last 2 days of our stay. This was very inconvenient because it was hard to get out of the hotel through the stairs. Trying to get down the stairs was a maze and there was no signage helping us get out. There was signage directing us toward the utility elevator, but the door to that was locked. We literally could not get out of this hotel when the elevators were not working.

The only feedback for the hotel mgmt. is the following: The bathroom door in our suite needs to be replaced or repaired. It was making squeaky noise and was hard to open/close (most likely due to lack of exhaust air in toilet).

The hotel was nice and clean. Mrs. Tabitha went the extra mile to make sure we were good. The staff is great and the rooms are nice and clean. Location is by everything. I really enjoyed my stay.

The overall experience was excellent. The front desk was very pleasant and helpful. The room itself was clean and inviting. The bathroom was also very clean. The hotel passed out flowers for Mother’s Day, that was nice. I would stay there again.

Breakfast options in the hotel was very minamal, Aisian influenced. 7-11 within walking distance to get cup of coffee. Other food options within walking distance. Easy to catch bus. Parking is very expensive, but I feel necessary as parking is very hard to find and also expensive in this area. Staff was great, we had 15 people in our group and 5 room and they helped keep us together.

This was our first time in Chicaho. The staff was very helpful with suggestions. This hotel is very close by to many things making it easy to get around. The beds are a little uncomfortable and stiff. We also didn't get complimentary waters in our room like most hotels do. Check in and out were super easy though.

Great place to get stay, close to lots of places to eat. Easy to catch buses to attactions. Parking was expensive. Next time we will come to Chicago by train or plane.

Hotel location was near Michigan Ave and many places. All walkable. Gym and pool were nice. Pool could be bigger but nice to have one. Wish they had free breakfast. Staff all very nice and fast check in. Lobby is smaller than other hotels but still offered a hang out spot with lots of tables. Overall, hotel is very good. Would stay again.

This hotel is in an excellent location and has a great lobby area. We had trouble with our hot water and we had some cockroaches in our room and so did our friends who had a room on a different floor.

We loved our stay here! The room was very clean and nice. We were centrally located to any and everything we wanted to see/visit, most being about a 20 minute walk, nothing more. Lots of good bars and restaurants in the area as well. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Defintely mean it all. Here comes my cents. Would have been great if breakfast is offered. Mini market items were a bit pricey. We purchased an item that we discovered was expired. Staff took it serious and replaced it immediaty. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

The room was very clean and very big. The beds were so very comfortable. The showers were very hot and had great water pressure. The shampoo and conditioner smelled great. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

Convenient for downtown including L, the riverwalk, shopping and a few blocks to the lake.

I have pictures that the bathroom was nasty and I have asked for towels. It took them a day and a half to bring me. It was just poorly service and all this money I spent and I thought it was a upscale hotel. It was a trashy hotel.

This Courtyard by Marriott Chicago is located in really convenient area near restaurants, shops and nightlife. It can be a bit noisy as this is the heart of a major city. The rooms are nicely appointed with many amenities and even a mini-frig and microwave! A really good hotel I would certainly visit again.

Staff stood out the most

My room was dirty. Sheets dirty. Found 2 roaches. Told the manager it took them until the next day to clean my sheets. Explained my experience to the manager and he said “ he spoke to his staff and hopes I’ll stay there again”. The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

The door to the room doesn’t lock properly — someone could easily open it from the outside. The bathroom mirror was dirty, and the bathroom door handle was loose. There was hair on the bed that wasn’t ours, and the TV volume doesn’t work properly. The staff was okay.

My 3 kids and I spent one night and the room was very large for Chicago (2 queen beds). Everyone in the front lobby were so friendly. The rooms were clean. They stored our luggage prior to check-in and after check-out so we could spend two full days in Chicago. The kids used the pool at night and it was perfect.

Nice and welcoming staff

Staff was really sweet and very accommodating! They let us drop off our luggage early before check in so we didn't have to carry it all day with us. Highly recommend downloading the Marriot Bonvoy App as well because that will allow you to download a mobile key on your phone and also put in requests such as extra pillows/blankets! Housekeeping were also very nice and polite. Free water bottles behind the front desk as well if you are a guest. Our room was also ready before check in so we were allowed to check in almost an hour early! Amazing place, amazing staff, and very cozy. Thank you for an amazing stay!!!

Could have been a little cleaner especially for being a suite. There was also no notice of the restaurant in the hotel being closed permanently before arrival and this was one of the reasons I chose this hotel because I thought eating breakfast onsite would be more convenient. I also booked this hotel because it offered valet parking and once we arrived we were informed that we would have to find our own parking due to our rental vehicle being a dodge. When booking on Expedia it does not tell you that they won’t park a dodge vehicle. I think if I were to return to Chicago I would probably look at hotels that give you a river view but for the price this hotel was decent.

The location was great. The staff were very professional, kind, and helpful. If I could rate them alone and there work, I would give them all 10 stars! From the front desk to the security! I wanted to make sure I put a special light on their efforts. They were the very sole reason I did not have a blow out. However the room was not clean, bugs were crawling around my bathroom on 2 seperwte nights. I could hear my neighbor’s conversation and everything and I mean everything that was going on outside every night. My daughter could not sleep and only expressed her concerns after we checked out. In fear that it may have ruined the trip. I will be speaking with the booking agency regarding the matter. But once again I would like to end with a special praise to all the staff members who were working july17-21, they were awesome. And did all they could to address the issues I was having.

Close to all shopping stores and attractions

Walking distance to the River Walk, Millennium Park, Navy Pier and others are fairly close. Red Line train station only a block away.

Customer service was great! The room I reserved was over booked, but they made special accommodations for my guest and I. The only minor issue was the amount of space between the shower, toilet, and bathroom door. It was a bit small.

Clean and the staff are all helpful and friendly. I was waiting in the lobby and a staff greeted me with “good morning beautiful “. That brought a smile to my face. Thank you.

Hotel refused to valet our car. We had to park car on the street hoping it would not be stolen. Created a lot of stress for the entire family, ruining our vacation. Checked out early and left Chicago as soon as we could.

We are extremely disappointed and concerned that our belongings were not securely protected while under the hotel’s responsibility. We trusted the hotel’s staff to safeguard our property, and this incident has caused us considerable distress and inconvenience.

The actual housekeeper misinformed (lied) about us having dnd sign and skipped our room however upon several requests to have our room cleaned other housekeeper Shareefa was sent who did an AMAZING job.

Perfect central location to walk to almost anywhere. Hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Only two negatives of our stay was the internet connection was too slow to stream Netflix and uncomfortable pillows. Minor issues and we would definitely stay there again!

Location was great. Room was nice. Water pressure in the shower was not great, could barely feel cleaned off after. Other than that, we appreciated how welcome we felt staying with a pet.

Enjoyed the location. Initially the person that helped us was a little cold but warmed up to us.

The overall stay was great. A few things we didn't like was the lighting in the rooms, and the beds were uncomfortable!

There was a very loud fan in the bathroom that never ceased and the door has to be closed to dull it even a little.

Staff was wonderful, always so helpful. We got a great rate on a king suite and it was perfect with 2 kids. Nice size and layout. The location is great in terms of being in the middle of everything.

The second night there we were woken up at 5:00am to the ceiling leaking water and had to pack up our stuff and move to another room. They didn’t have the exact room available so they split us into 2 rooms. The last night there, an entire family had taken over the pool and there was soggy food all over the pool area and on the ground, kids running and screaming all through the pool area and then running through the hallways, screaming and gathering at the elevator to “hangout” we definitely will not be back and we will consider a more luxury hotel for the next visit. Although I thought mariott was a luxury hotel. It was lacking.

The staff is very friendly and helps with any questions, for this a huge thank you! But it was very upsetting that the parking under the hotel building is closed and the whirpool is on the hotel business card photo, but in reality it is filled with concrete.

The pictures you see are totally different from the reality. The facility is old and what you see in the picture must be taken when it was new. Besides, no snack bar, no sugar replacement each day. They just stay it out at bare minimum. I didn’t expect this from Marriot Hotel.

Not so good. Valet messed up my transmission. How i can drive more than 40 hours with out an issue, and they move my car 10 feet. I had to find a tow low enough to move my car that wouldnt shift into neutral.

One note: Breakfast hours for the cafe are posted until 11:00am. However, the staff said they close at 10:30 and stopped making fresh coffee at 10:00. Not a huge deal. Just get there by 10:00am if you want coffee. Loved the River North location. So much to do in that area.

The staff was very attentive and quick to respond. We were gifted comp champagne and a breakfast meal since we were cebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. Cab service for us was quick and efficent from a suggestion from staff to use FlashCab.

This was a great location. It was close to the Loop and other transit.

Room we chose advertised accessible shower with a pull out couch. When we checked in was told we could not receive both options despite the fact that is what we paid for. Also, FYI, valet parking is $65 per night

The ladies at the front desk were AMAZINGGGG. They were so nice. They gave us ideas on where to go during our visit, gave great compliments. Love them so much

Room service failed to show up many times, leaving us without towels, toilet paper, and other necessities. Several fixtures were also broken.

It is a very clean hotel in a nice area. The room was done up nicely as well. My only criticism is that the room was so hot that it made very hard for us to get a good nights rest. When we asked the front desk about it or getting a fan they were extremely rude to us. I'm not sure I could sleep here again with the temperature of the rooms only able to go down to 67. This was also in the winter when it was cold outside. I couldn't imagine staying here in the summer months.

Awesome location for walking to just about anything. Great service, cafe for breakfast. Only negative is that there were frequent police/fire sirens pretty much nightly.

We had trouble with a toilet but the service to fix it was quick. They ended up switching our room. It was exactly what you’d expect to happen in that situation. Rooms are nice, pillows are thin. Convenient location but that means also busy.

Location is just off busy River North hotspot.. which allows for a quieter stay but easy walk to everywhere l. Located across from Andy’s Jazz Club so convenient for a later evening out.

The room was very clean and well appointed. However, the television was mounted on a wall perpendicular to the bed which made viewing a challenge. I would suggest moving the bed to the wall opposite the TV and voila, problem solved...!
