Clarion Inn

The beds were comfortable. We had to bring our things in on a cart. We had to bring our cart a long ways through a maze of halls to get it to our room. Same to get our things back to our car through the back of the building. It was very a lot of work after driving 14 hours.

Pool My rooms was disgusting. The staff were no where to be found at night time. Other parties were very very loud in the hall outside my door till about 1:30am.

We were given a room that wasn't clean, followed by a room that had someone else in it, then a room with water coming out from under the bathroom tile(where we had unpacked all our stuff), then had to lug everything down to a different room that didn't have black water coming out from under the tile. Just to have a bathtub that didn't drain while showering and were told it was the old plumbing. We stayed 3 nights, the second and third nights we had to have our room keys reset because they didn't work anymore. Breakfast during the weekdays was a joke. The only positive was we didn't have to pay for snacks because of how awful our rooms were.

Good location and staff . Excellent breakfast set up. Due to staff shortages the room was not ready. Previous person must have been a heavy smoker. Room smelled like cigarette smoke . Roaches were in the kitchenette area.

This hotel is not maintained and was very dirty. Toilet was leaking under the seal (meaning sewage), roaches in the room, smoke from an adjacent room, and non functioning light switches. Do not stay here!

Not one thing. The staff were rude and very unprofessional. The hotel was dirty. We will never return to this establishment. We booked two rooms with check in at 3, 1 of our rooms wasn’t ready we were not able to get into the 2nd room until after 6. The room was still dirty and had an ugly smell. We were told that housekeeping already cleaned the room and will not return. We couldn’t get another room because we were told they were fully booked. Beings it was graduation weekend everything everywhere else in Ft Collin was booked. It was the most horrible experience ever. There was a dead roach on the baseboard. The curtains were dirty.

The property was filthy - floors caked with sticky, dried liquid, dirt, trash, and smelled awful. We weren’t given toilet paper. Walls are paper thin. We booked a room with two double beds and were given a 1 bed room, with a couch (it was a pull out, but there was not a mattress and not any extra bedding). We were unable to actually stay here for even 1/3 of the length of time we booked it for. All of it. The curtains weren’t even adequate to cover the whole window, so I needed to use a lamp and a chair to hold the curtains back.

Disappointing

Total disappointment! The room was filthy and bug infested. The shower/ tub was cracked and we couldn’t use it. The pool was filthy, I didn’t trust not showering. They were supposed to change us rooms, told us twice to come back later.. The third time we tried they said they were full and there wa son other rooms. The new hotel clerk said nobody told her. Whole staff was rude about the situation. We left our vacation a day early because I couldn’t stand being there.

Very run down property. Breakfast was available 25 mins late. Whole place smelled like chlorine from the pool chemicals.

Minor quibbles. The outside door is not ideal, but it's the trade for a long bed. No freezer section of the in room fridge.

I felt reviews I read was unfair. Bed great, shower great, pool looked inviting but we did not have swimsuits. Pool side furniture oldish but comfortably and I have a low back issue I was comfortably there. We loked the inn. CONNIE

The hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade. All the old dirty carpet must be ripped up and replaced with tile and the entire place needs a new coat of brighter paint.

On the up side, the kids loved the pool and the breakfast was good, although they had trouble keeping up with the hot foods. The beds and bedding were comfortable. However, the room was not clean. Most of the time there were not towels by the pool. The keys usually did not work to let us into the building, but once in they generally worked on the room door.

The rates were too high for the conditions of the property. The place is old, smells, and needs to be remodeled/cleaned up. The staff was nice, very responsive, the beds were comfy and our room did have COLD AC which was great!

Floors in hallway were filthy and people were allowed to be barefoot in dining room. The place is fairly rundown. BUT…. The room was clean and tidy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Some of the other guests were super sketchy. Almost seemed like they had some long term residents who lived there. Not sure. Anyway…. Good stay for what we needed. The pool seemed cloudy but the staff was cleaning it and we loved that the plants all around the pool area were real.

I thought it was kind of strange they booked us in the “extended stay” section of hotel- but, the kids and I still had a good time. The only problem I had was a few hours after we checked out I realized I forgot to grab my swim suit that I hung on the back of the bathroom door. I called as soon as I realized. I was told by the front desk it would be put in the lost and found by house keeping. I called the next several days asking if they found it, even brought in a picture. Somehow my swim suit vanished - or “housekeeping” just threw it away and now I’m out of a swim suit. Wasn’t offered any type of compensation for that.

Very run down, strange atmosphere. Advertised free breakfast but there was hardly anything there. Cereal but no milk. Cold coffee no creamer. No one working at breakfast place.

We had a king bed suite. Only reason why it didn’t get one star was because the bed was decent and the room was clean. Otherwise, shabby workmanship in bathroom. Not one towel rack or clothes hook. Open light fixture with no bulbs, caulking smeared on walls, no tub drain stopper. Ceiling beam easy to bump head on. Open electrical socket due to broken cover, curtains hanging off the rods. Breakfast was cold cereal. Dark room, waffle batter empty. No one around to ask for help. Won’t be back.

Called and the person said there was a hot tub but there is no jacuzzi and the pool was cold. The room smelled terrible like hay and pee. Shower was pretty gross as well. The arboretum part is super cool but the restaurant and bar inside are not open. Seems like the hotel could do so much more to make the place a better stay.

It was the worst place i ever had to stay. There were a bunch of people that outside by the main entrance smoking buts the hall and the room were really out dated and not clean. I was scared to get in the elevator and it was filthy. They didn't come to clean my room i had to go to the desk to get towels brought up. Very bad experience.

We arrived and the hotel was ... gross? It looked like there was a scene from Breaking Bad in the parking lot behind. Our room wasn't ready because the bathtub was broken (well past the 3pm check-in time). We forfeited our pre-paid room and went somewhere else.

It looks like a lot of work is happening but it does show the age currently. It was comfortable.

Will never stay here again. Was given a room originally that had no remote for the tv. A refrigerator that did not work. No telephone and also no seat on the toilet. Guess the toilet was made accessible. Was given a second room for the night. Wanted to take a nice hot bath in the morning and there was no plug for the tub. Just an all around terrible stay which I will not repeat.

Nice place had a great time with family

The inside was fair a bunch of old furniture was tossed in a pile by the pool. Room was ok tub was durty. The outside was a bit shady parking was bad. Definitely not worth almost $200.

Nice staff, decent room, quiet, comfortable bed, shower had little pressure and was difficult to adjust the temp. Area around the hotel seemed sketchy. In need of updates. Outdated and old smelling.

It looks like this hotel was really really nice about 30 years ago. You can see how many layers of paint they're put over everything, and just how beat up everything has gotten over the years. We really wished the hot tub was working. But the pool looked pretty nice. Also, if the bar would've been open, that would've been super nice. Overall the stay was fine. This place just needs a major revamp done by a reputable contractor, and this would be a super nice place to stay. But then it wouldn't be as cheap as it was haha

Honestly worst experience ever

It was an old property that was obviously converted. The price did not reflect the stay. The old window that was on old hotel was a hallway and the only thing between the window and room was a curtain. People walking in the hall could still see inside the room making safety an issue. With us being 2 women getting into the lot at night it was poorly lit with men hanging around outside and a homeless man in front. The parking lot was not maintained with lots of holes and again poor lighting. The room itself had water damage above the beds and trim pulling away from the wall. The shower and toulet are were dirty and the room had a strong rose purfume type smell that was irritating.

There is alot of homes people staying outside the property and people let there dogs pee and poop every where and no one cleans up after there pets . Also says there is breakfast and there is not, its a sack of food not breakfast . it is not worth 125.00 a room a night. I do not suggest you stay at this location. They rent the rooms by the night -hour-week and people are camped outside

The breakfast that was advertised on hotels.com is not what you get at the hotel. We were offered a paper bag with a bagel and cream cheese and yogurt and juice. I was very disappointed by this.

It is a beautiful hotel, but is currently under renovation and short staffed. Furniture is stacked in the common areas and the room did not have enough furniture or light. I did not get the room I reserved. Very dirty room and pool. They should close for awhile. Bad reviews are not good for business.

This is the dirtiest, scariest, most run down hotel Ive ever encountered and Im usually pretty brave when it comes to staying at a hotel. The bathroom door had so much filth on it I would almost vomit everytime i looked at it. The hallway stunk and room numbers were identified by blue painters tape. The couch had chunks of a white substance stuck to it. The smoke alarm had plastic wrapped around it all ready for any smoke you'd like to have in the room. The shower/bathtub in our room didnt work and when we checked out we asked for a refund due to how horrible it was. Even though the drain was missing parts the front desk clerk told us if we would have just pulled harder she was sure it wpuld have worked and would have a manage call us....we never received a call. When walking down the hall at midnight an obvious drug user jumped out of her room. Ran down vans and other vehicles littered the parking lot. Our shower didnt work. Lots of the rooms had grills and other items outside. It seems like they are starting to let people use this as short term housing. Some items on the room had been upgraded and were clean but others were just filthy. They are using construction as an excuse.....its just a dirty old hotel/motel being poorly ran and managed.

The door jams in the bathroom was filthy, I told front desk they never sent anyone we stayed for 2 days we were there for a graduation, I asked the cleaners for fresh towels and she couldn't speak English overall I wouldn't recommend this hotel

Its age is showing. We had an issue with the toilet and they addressed it immediately. The fitness center had no towels and no sanitizer wipes. The weight machine has no working parts and the recumbent bike isn’t working other than its lowest setting and it stops recognizing that you are exercising. People were appropriately smoking outside but have to walk by the smoke filled air still affects me adversely. Breakfast is handed to you in a bag.

Front desk attendant at check in and check out was extremely helpful, attentive and friendly. Other review said amenities were not there, but every amenity listed is there, other than the restaurant and bar that are being remodeled and scheduled to re-open in May '24. There is a great Mexican restaurant a few bldgs down and several other restaurants. Breakfast was provided as a bag full of a perfect assortment to satisfy anyone. I25 was suddenly closed, and we were not planning on staying, so it was a last minute booking. We were provided a bag of toiletries to include toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, shaving cream etc. Once remodeled, the hotel will look amazing. The rooms need to be touched up, but the fresh clean towels and bedding was nice and enjoyed in room coffee.

The front desk attendant was great! The property not so much. It has only ONE of the amenities it claims to have and that's the pool. Everything else it lists is a lie. No hot tub, no on site restaurant, no on site bar, no continental breakfast. The room was in pretty poor condition and had paper thin walls.

People at the reservation desk were working hard trying to keep everything straight on a really busy night but they were friendly.

Called me and left voicemail at 10pm saying overbooked, dont come. Didn’t get message, checked into room with bag of trash and breathing tube on dresser, crap in toilet and crusty something on sheets. Couldn’t move me had no other rooms. Went to check out and ensure i wasn’t charged in morning, no one at front desk. Calked no one answered. Went back 30 minutes later, 10 people in line, still no one there. Expedia called, no answer, guaranteed me a refund.

It was not a clean room. Flies in the room from the open threshold form the door that I blocked with a towel. There were no towels available the next day. I killed a roach. Trash under the bed. The bed was broken. Nice staff, but just a poor room.

Place was filthy , first room smelled of cigarettes had to move. Checking in they said they didn’t have a room. When I checked into my room I took a king instead of two queens which I wanted. I came back to switch since it smelled and they said no. I said I want a full refund now I will get another hotel and they found me a room. This place is filthy and by far the worst hotel I’ve stayed in the last 12 years visiting my three college kids .

This property is horribly outdated, dirty, even had cobwebs in the corner of the door. The grossest hotel I have ever stayed in. When we arrived, the front desk told us they were overbooked, and they didn’t know when the clean room would be ready.

The room was dirty. I closed the bathroom door to find rusty screws and a pile of sand behind it. There was a gaping hole in the bathroom wall where a vent cover was missing. The photos in the listing must be 10 years old or more. The entire building is run-down. Way overpriced for $200/ night.

Everything was run down and falling apart. 0 out of 10. Bathroom light wouldn’t work. 1 lamp didn’t work so a floor lamp was brought in. 2 inch gap between outside door and floor. Windows above the door was boarded. Curtains didn’t close all the way. Hold off all kinds in bedding and curtains.

We checked in and should have known tobturn around. Their were 2 other guest checking out. Due to the conditions. Our room looked like some one was already in it. Tryd to get different room but nothing els available i was told. We tryd to tuff it out but just befor 6am we were awoke by bugs in bed. So we gotbout of there. Had dirty towles wet washcloths broken tub hot tub was broke and no free breakfast as advertised. We still have not received our money back from hotels.com. stay away from this place and do not use hotels.com for reservation there customer service is garbage. Give us our money back!

Do not stay here. We checked in and had to change rooms because the room they put us in was not clean. There was a note on the door saying "crappy week, my fault". I know it's hard to find good help these days but WOW. The second room was a little better but not by much. The motel is run down, garbage everywhere, carpet seems to be the original when they opened. Dirty, dirty place!

Entrance doors to hotel do not lock. Crackheads running all over. People smoking in non smoking rooms and coming though vents. I would consider this a trap house more than a hotel. Not family friendly.

Will never stay there again. The do not have breakfast like they advertise. People were drinking late into the night in front of our room.. they left a huge door ding in my car. Couldn’t sleep due to them slamming doors all night and running up and down the sidewalk.. pool was nice, but the people hanging around were arguing and appeared to be on drugs. It felt extremely unsafe, the door and most of the room were falling apart.. when we checked out the next morning the parking lot was full of sheriffs deputies and a K-9 unit!

As soon as you get to counter. There’s color printed signs taped to counter averting that complementary breakfast is no longer served. The owner needs to update all apps to this change. For myself, this was the one factor that swayed me to give this Hotel a chance. Also, indicating when the hotel was remodeled. Because halls stunk, carpets are dirty and bathroom’s moldy. Bathroom tiles look replaced incorrectly and stains/patches on ceilings. Clarion is a big chain and should inspect properties that carry there name. Maybe assist owners with remodel’s.

The rooms are dirty and it has a moldy smell, specially the carpet, the room is not maintained at all, the parking garage flooded because it rained and my car had to be cleaned professionally, I paid $100 for this, the front desk staff I first met told me when I went to check in that the computer is down so I need to go find another hotel, of course with an attitude, although I paid online and can't get refunded. However, the other staff I met later were very friendly.

This was my worst hotel experience so far. The laundry facilities were not working, the continental breakfast was not served due to remodeling, and spa was not working. When asked, no discount was offered. The room had no hangers, no iron, mold and bubbling paint on the walls. We found a random bug and spider.

Ahhhh I don’t know where to start but this building needs leveling! Holes in walls , cracked bathtub, outside walkway to room had large chunks of concrete loose and left in the path and just a filthy S&$@hole with homeless living in the hotel as well as the parking lots!

The floors were always dirty. The room needs maintenance! The ground around the pool was not very clean and cracked tile that can scratch someone around the little kids pool. No breakfast even though it is advertised! The lady at the front desk said they just stopped it recently for whatever reason. I will not be staying here again. The only good thing is my kids enjoyed swimming.

No body give me an answer why my lagged was in the office when I left it on the room. And my I’d was under the door. I left the room for one hour and someone I guess broke into the room and took it. I ask to see the cameras and they said the manager wasn’t there and she didn’t had access to that. Water was super hot no cold or at list warm water it was boiling hot. Manager never call me to give me any answer or explanation to at least apologize. It was just the worst experience ever.

For 165$ a night wow! This hotel needs to be condemned. The place is very dilapidated and should be torn down. Right off the interstate of course. Other properties around it are fairly updated. We should have known better than to stay when the local county Sheriff’s office had a visible presence through out the evening. Come on Clarion you should be ashamed of this property. Whew!!!

I found myself walking up a back area that if it had been dark would have felt very unsafe for a single woman alone.

Staff was phenomenal!!!! They made a stressful situation so easy and managed our concerns with urgency and empathy!!!! We worked together to make everything work out! It was a great stay!

I have stayed here many times before. I was very disappointed to find that they no longer serve breakfast even though the website says it does. They need to change that. I always loved the breakfast there.

This hotel seems to be on it's last leg before closing down. My room smelled strongly of smoke, AC did not work and was just in bad shape all around. The bed was clean and comfortable at least. They apparently stopped the breakfast service just a week before. Pretty awful stay.

The room was dirty. Kleenexes on the floor in the bathroom. Crumbs on the carpet. Stuff behind the TV. The TV cord was broken so the TV didn’t work. The room smelled like dirty Las Vegas smoke and liquor. Gross!! We booked a king and when we got there, they didn’t have any so gave us a double bed. Spend 30 more and stay where it’s better.

This stay was one of many on a longer road trip itinerary. First, we didn’t get the room type we booked and the front desk was quick to blame hotels.com. The neighborhood seemed a bit sketchy. The back door that was right around the corner from our room was broken so anyone could walk-in to the hotel. The room was falling apart, it was not as cleanly as we’d like and the floor was pretty damp. It’s clear that the property is in need of some updating.

I am surprised the Department of Health did not shut down this hotel . It was very dirty, I was placed in a room where dirty towels where left on the floor behind the door and it smelled awful. Then I changed to a different room, giving them the benefit of the doubt , maybe understaffed , there was bed bugs on the mattress. I ended up checking out at 1:30 am with my kids . It is sad to see how our service industry has become .

Terrible! Don’t stay at this hotel. Bad area of town. 10 squad cars were at Waffle House across the street. Apparently regular occurrence. Hotel is very, very run down. Rooms (which we booked two) were filthy and disgusting. Built up crud (alit) in bathroom corners, repulsive odor throughout hotel, dirty carpets, furniture falling apart, and the lust goes on. They don’t provide any housekeeping during multi night stays. Gave us three towels for room that sleeps four. It was just the worst place I’ve ever stayed.

The pool and hot tub whete not working this place is next to a big drug area.. No cold water in the room only hot water...

Amazing for the price

I checked into my room and it smelled like cigarette smoke and mold, the chair was torn and the carpet was wet. I asked for a new room which they gave me. I walked in the room and it hadn’t been turned over yet. I left and never came back. I found somewhere else to stay.

There was a water leak under the sink and the carpet was soaking wet! They claimed that they were sold out and had no other rooms. They brought us some towels to stand on. They did not give us a room price adjustment!

Confusing that there were two hotels on the same property. One seemed a little better than the other. Ours was very raggedy overall. Rusted stairs, doors did not feel secure, curtains did not close all the way, lots of chipped paint, stains on lampshades. It was clean and appeared they are trying to make some improvements in the room. There was a new bathroom sink and mirror, toilet and tub. Just too much on the worn side for me

Found the hotel in poor state, rear entry doors would not unlock with keycard, was told by another quest to use another entry. Outside my second floor walkway was a refrigerator just sitting there and a few doors down a charcoal BBQ grill, so I guess they cook there. The breakfast was poor not even toast (two toasters just sitting). At one time it was a real restaurant with a full kitchen which you could see. Also had a lounge which is not a storage room. I stayed there years ago and it has gone downhill.

There was obvious black mold in the bathroom, the room wasnt clean. TV remote didnt work, blow dryer and towel bars were barely hanging onto the wall, picture leaning against the back of couch instead of hung on the wall, front desk mentioned there were long-term and questionably safe people who live in the hotel.

The property was in poor repair and when I walked into the room it smelled as if a ton carpet deodorizer was used. The smell was overpowering. The front desk staff was amazing and very understanding and tired to find us a better room. She was not able to and was willing to refund our money.

We arrived at 10pm last night and were very tired after a 30-hour flight from Scotland to Denver, CO, and left at 3:30am because we could not sleep in such a run-down motel. The bed was lumpy, the sheets were dirty, the toilet would not flush correctly, holes in the walls, pealing plaster and paint missing, some of the lights did not work, stained and torn carpet, and the other questionable guests at the motel appeared to be long term and threatening. This motel should not be registered as a Clarion property.

Fantastic breakfast

I checked in then checked my family right out after walking in to the filthy rooms. Mold on walls and ceiling. The door to room wouldn’t close properly. Hotel had a bad odor and property was surrounded by homeless people. A couple pictures of room 221 attached. Disgusting!!

Worst hotel ever, never stay again. Rooms are so durty, smells so bad.

Front desk Mandy was super nice. Breakfast was yummy!

Pool ice cold. Hot tub not working. Not very clean. Strong odor in room.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable but the building itself was rough. The bathroom light wouldn’t shut off, toilet hardly flushed and the shower was either burning hot or freezing cold

Towels were dirty, the room was damp, noisy and the air conditioner didn’t work. I would not recommend!
